Had a mediocre experience at Toppers. Ordered two large pizzas, and two orders of wings on a Friday night around 1am. No problem there. Picked up the order with not a long wait at all which was impressive. Got it back to the office, and it all smelled wonderful, but after eating the wings, they were AWFUL. Extremely soft - and it was so obvious that they were heated up in a microwave. If you are contemplating ordering the wings from here --- DON'T!!!!!!!! Other than that awful, waste of money on the wings, the pizza here is good - and have never had a problem with them. Toppers is always there when nothing else is open in the Indy area, but seriously. Over 30 minutes passed before I had to reach out myself and ask when the pizza would be arriving. They assured me the driver was close. The quality of their pizza is good. The price is reasonable for what they offer and you have a lot of options to choose from. So, in terms of the product, they are doing a really good job. However, their service needs to improve. When I order through the phone to pick up the pizza in the store, they always tell me that is going to take 10-15 minutes to get ready, but it usually takes way longer than that. So, I end up having to wait in the store anyways. Also, they do not give you water and I was really mad about that. I have never seen a restaurant that doesn't provide you with water, specially a place that sells pizza!! This establishment had a great atmosphere! It is located underneath apartments and is open till 3 am. When you walk in, there is music playing and your are greeted happily by a toppers employee. I had a girl named Teresa take my order and she was absolutely fantastic! She was very patient and helpful, and when I wasn't sure what to get she recommend some deals that I could not pass up. After I paid she gave me a time estimation that was actually very accurate, and gave me some extra sauce for free! When I got home and opened the box I could not be more happy. I ordered a half and half pizza and they did a very good job about keeping the right toppings on the right side. I was even more pleased to find out how good the pizza was. This is definitely my new favorite pizza place! 10/10 read more

I was introduced to Toppers when I was living in Dekalb, IL during my time at Northern Illinois for my MA. Sadly, the store caught fire and was never rebuilt. I was devestated. We got the loaded tot-zza, parmesan garlic boneless chicken and the chocolate bacon topper-stix. Everything was hot, generously topped, delicious and only came up to $25. We got our order for carry out, it was ready in 15 min at 10:45 on a Friday night, and the guys working were super nice. The only way should you ever eat anything from this place is if you are coming off an eight day hunger strike and are out of your mind high. We ordered a regular sausage pizza. It came as only cheese, but the sausage wouldn't have been able to save this chewy, unseasoned, flavorless nonsense. We also got the most uninspired topper sticks of all time - even their sauces were not able to save it. It was Saturday at midnight and took two hours to arrive. It was the only food available so we should complain less but just wait until the next day as you have several good brunch options. Since this is one of the only pizza options in downtown Indy, others should think about opening more food options. We had pizza from Topper's in Indianapolis last Saturday. We had one cheese/half sausage pizza and one sausage. We both were throwing up at 3 am and suffered extreme effects of food poisoning. Was still throwing up at 7am, even though nothing left in stomach. Tried to contact Topper's management, but no one answered the phone. I had never heard of Toppers until we got a mailer. They were offering a deal where, if you bought at least $10/food, they'd give you a scratch-off card worth at least $10. So, we decided to order, not expecting much. We decided to go with their deal, a large house pizza (I think it was called 3 Little Pigs) and a triple order of TopperStix (cheese covered breadsticks), for about $21. I think it was $25 with delivery free + then the tip. It was really good! The pizza was generously topped; the breadsticks were cheesy and yummy; and the give you dipping sauce for the pizza and the breadsticks. They have some crazy combinations -- a mac and cheese pizza (carb coma, I expect!) and even one with tater tots on it. Jimmy Johns is our usual go-to but I can see Topper's taking over, especially for the price. read more

Only decent place open for pizza at 1AM. Was quite satisfied. Ordered their 9" classic pizza with extra toppings as well as their 9" sausage and pepperoni. Was very delicious! They're crust isn't anything remarkable but the generous toppings overcome that. We also ordered the roasted garlic cheese breadsticks, those were delicious and earned the 5 stars on their own in our book. For a late night pizza, definitely worth it. read more

I just found one of my new favorite pizza places! I have to admit there is quite a wait picking up but it was worth it! I can see why they are busy, snow is here, people don't want to cook so there is perhaps a demand for delivery? I mean i waited extra 10-12 mins for my pizza just because they messed up one of my orders, but the order the messed up they gave me the pizza which they accidentally made it maui Hawaiian instead of chicken BBQ. They were very nice about and apologized for messing up. I must admit it was hard to finish 3 mediums between 2 people, but I guess i have lunch and dinner for the next few days! Also, they have 4 TVs and a nice couch with a few tables you can perhaps sit down to enjoy your pizza. More like a 3.5 in my book but I'll be generous and give it a 4. This place is open until 3am on Saturdays, later than any of the other close by pizza places. The employee that took our order on a Friday night was extremely nice. My friends and I were definitely not sober but the employee handled us really well, never acted like he was annoyed or that he didn't want to deal with us. The pizza itself was average for a pizza delivery place. I would probably choose this place over the Papa John's diagonally across the street. There aren't that many tables inside, though. read more

I note that many of the negative reviews are from 2014. I ordered online with no issues. The specials were clearly posted on the mobile site and ordering was a breeze. The food arrived right on time and was plenty hot. The delivery driver was friendly and professional. The pizzas looked the same when I opened the box as they did on the website. The food was tasty and exactly as described. I ordered a macaroni and cheese pizza for the kids and a buffalo pizza for the adults with a cup of ranch on the side. For dessert we ordered the cinnamon sticks with vanilla frosting. The pizza slices were equally sized with an even distribution of cheese and toppings. The crust was medium thick and more on the doughy/chewy side similar to Papa John's but it wasn't undercooked. Not too greasy and no heartburn afterwards. The cinnamon sticks had a faintness of the pizza oven they were cooked in which kind of bothered me but I didn't really order these for myself and I don't feel they're indicative of the rest of the menu. They were acceptable and not food that I typically eat. I cannot think of anything that would cause me to rate my experience less than five stars. Toppers probably isn't something you're going to go out of your way for. It's not like you're going to make a point to take company from out of town to eat there but if you're cramming for exams or staying downtown and want something other than the megachain pizza places, you won't go wrong. read more
