First time trying toppers and the food was amazing but the service wasn't too good..the cashier Angela was rude To us. We asked for ranch and she tells us to get it from salad bar but she had an attitude when she said it. My girlfriend was carrying our son and she kept looking at them with a weird look, not sure why but it was very awkward. Anyways, the pizza was really good, it was more on the thin side but the flavor was spot on. The rest of the staff seemed very nice to use as they walked past us smiling. We ate on the second floor with a nice view of the boats. I'd recommend this place I just hope Angela isn't there. read more

The pizza isn't bad but don't expect any visible bacon on your pizza if you order it. You can't taste it. I don't understand why as the other toppings are a reasonable amount. I've called before and complained and they sent me another pizza with maybe a tablespoon of bacon on the entire pizza. I've gotten the same pizza in Ventura and there is always a generous amount on it. Oxnard Toppers is very lousy compared to Ventura. read more

I'd recommend this place for delivery. I ordered delivery twice and everything was great. However, I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant. I was ignored upon entering. There are no signs telling people to order and they will bring food. I asked if we could seat ourselves and was told that we could. No one mentioned that we should order first. When a server walked by I asked her if we could order. She was extremely rude but did tell us to order upfront. The food is good. The service is beyond rude. We were in Oxnard visiting for a birthday party and all went out to eat at Toppers for dinner. We knew it would be busy but also thought we would get good service being such a popular place by the harbor. No reservations so we put our name down for a party of 18. They said about 30 mins. OK no problem, just so we can get in and have our meal. They updated us from time to time outside saying that they are close and just waiting for a group to finish up so we have our tables. Again - no problem. We waited. Our name gets called up and we head upstairs only to be brought to a table that seats 12! Tables next to it are obviously in use so how do they think our group of 18 will fit. Chairs were butted up side by side, touching each other on each side. You couldn't even slide in to the chairs to sit. After literally 5 minutes of the host scratching his head, he was shoving chairs on the ends where you wouldn't even have a table in front of your lap to eat. Unbelievable. Why say our "table" is ready when we gave you our number of 18 SEVERAL times?? He then tried to break up the group to the complete other side of the upstairs. If you have been there you would know this is in no way near each other. For a birthday celebration dinner this is unacceptable. We would have gladly waited, but now you have our whole group looking around for a place to sit. WE finally made the suggestion to move an additional table on the end of ours to sort of make it work. We were crammed in to say the least, but we were together. Ok problem solved??? Not quite. We ordered our pizzas and drinks and got our pager for our table. Pizza came out in a reasonable time. The waiters put them down on the table and asked "anything else". Uh yea. I asked for some plates to serve the pizzas on? He told me "oh there is a bunch over there by the stairs - you can grab some." Oh OK I guess I can grab some from the waiter station. Its where they keep plate and extra cheese and pepper dispensers. I didn't think this was self serve, find your own plate kind of place. Of course had to ask for silverware too. Didn't get enough waters as we ordered either. Another annoying set up this place has is the beverage machine is on the first floor by the salad bar. So when you need to refill your small soda cup you have to head downstairs each time. Super inconvenient. They should really consider having a machine on the top floor too or at least offer pitchers for large groups. After all that the pizza was good as expected. The view of the harbor was nice and the history of the building was nostalgic. Parking was packed but people come and go so you eventually get in. Service needs to be looked at for groups like this and should never be brought to the table before the table is ready. read more

We stopped in here while in town and we absolutely love this place, everything is homemade and fresh. We had the sandwiches, salad and pizza.. All were great, and reasonably priced. I cannot say enough about the amazing fresh salad bar! We didn't actually dine at Toppers but we did request for delivery. Thankfully they were close enough to our hotel to 'walk' our order over and have it to us before the 45 minutes they said it would take. We'd ordered a half-and-half and it was pretty tasty. After a nice bike ride around the harbor, we met some friends for dinner at Toppers. The restaurant was clean and the food was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. What I liked about this place is it's location. It has a beautiful view of the Channel Islands harbor/ sunset without paying a fortune to sit there. It has a very large seating capacity and a comfortable atmosphere. Parking is easy and it also has a bike rack at the front door. My husband grew up in Oxnard, and he moved away to Orange County. When I met him we would drive 1.5-2 hours to toppers!!! I thought he was ridiculous but once I tried it I decided that drive was 100% worth it. The pizza is great. The salad bar is high quality and the service is just as great. We came to Oxnard over valentines & Presidents' Day weekend for a quick getaway and upon our arrival we stopped at Toppers and I realized I have yet to leave a review! It looked like there was gonna be a wait but for our party of 10 we were sat within 15 minutes. They were serving heart shaped pizzas for valentines. And everything was how we expected it. Got in late from driving up the coast to our hotels and Toppers was open with good reviews. We stopped in and were so glad we did. The pizza was amazing! Perfectly crispy and tasty. I had the creamy garlic chicken. $12 for a small specialty pizza and about $9 for a small 1 topping which is plenty for 1 or 2 if you split it and get a 2nd or get a salad but a little on the pricey side. Good food and great view. Pretty packed for a Thursday evening. Lots of families, couples and singles. Salad bar is $5 for 1 trip. Soda is a Coca Cola kiosk. The cookie ice cream dessert is a must! The restaurant is situated right on the water, with two stories of seating, and a very clean and updated inside. It's an order-at-the-counter place, but feels like a sit down restaurant with the seating and cleanliness. Food comes out very quick, and the place is always hopping...more of a family place. Tried a few standard type pizzas, but the favorite by far by everyone in our party was the BBQ chicken. Usually not a chicken pizza guy, but it was tasty. Another fabulous pizza night from toppers pizza I'm Channel Islands harbor. Placed on order on line and delivered when they said they would. The pizzas were perfect. The driver was kind and wanted to make sure we didn't need any plates, napkins or cheese and peppers. Everyone enjoyed the three pizzas. Carnitas, chipotle, meat, lovers, and pepperoni. Pizza is delicious. Service is great and dining area is always clean. It is a little pricy, but everything is now. However, the cost adds up when you order home delivery.
