When it came time to eat, my friend and I ordered the breakfast and lunch special respectively. The lunch special that day was pork adobo sandwich with fries. I happened to ask for ranch on the side and OMG that was the best decision I made that day. Their ranch is one of the best ranches I've ever had. It's packed with dill and it's not too runny. I will be remembering THE RANCH DRESSING from here for a long time!! Osprey is a hidden gem on the coast and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!

We were traveling with our two adult children who are on the autism spectrum. Our oldest is gluten free and our youngest, well he identifies as a bull moose and can be about as easy to wrangle. There were plenty of gluten free options for our oldest. Our server Zoe rocking the Wonder Woman tank was a super hero! The owner quickly tuned in to our family being on team quirky and made us feel welcome and at home. Everyone was so friendly! The food? Exceptional! This was our third breakfast out on our trip and the Chalkboard Cafe took the blue ribbon and it was not even close! My youngest had the biscuits and gravy, with a couple of eggs and a sausage patty. He's a charter member of the clean plate club and met the challenge. It was a generous portion. Our oldest had a half order of the B&G and was tempted to have one of the hot from the oven gluten free mini Marion berry pies that the owner proudly paraded around the dining room. Steaming from the oven this Marion berry pie tasted like the best of an Oregon summer. I was glad he shared a couple of bites. It was such a delight that we took a pie home for later! My wife and I shared the traditional eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, and topped with a thick piece of ham grounded with their perfect English muffin. The Hollandaise was rich and creamy providing a wonderful coat on top of the egg. Their red potatoes were seasoned just right and were a compliment to the eggs Benedict as they would compliment most any savory breakfast. In addition to the pie we took home a couple their chocolate krinkle cookies which were not gluten free. That's the bad news. The good news is that we did not have to share them! They were heavenly! We get to Seaside at least once or twice a year and the Chalkboard Cafe will be part of our regular dining rotation while visiting. Thanks for the love and excellence! Honestly, that just made me appreciate the place even more. I walk all over Seaside trying different spots, little hidden places, tourist places, all of it, and somehow this still ends up being my favorite lunch spot in town. The food never disappoints. Ever. The prices are shockingly good for what you get, and they somehow manage to get food out fast without sacrificing quality. What I love most is the space. Even when town is packed, you are not jammed in elbow to elbow with people. Families, kids, locals, everybody just looks comfortable there. Big open historic theater, great food, quick service, sports on the screen later in the day, and good atmosphere without the chaos. Screen up or screen down, this place is one of my favorites. Thanks guys for always being awesome.

Are you looking for great Astoria Oregon sushi or possibly Seaside Oregon sushi? We know a great sushi restaurant for you. There is both great sushi in Astoria Oregon and great sushi in Seaside Oregon. It is called Tora Sushi Lounge! We have ate at both locations. You can choose either Seaside Oregon sushi or Astoria Oregon sushi but both are so delicious that it kept my wife returning twice a week for nearly a year now. Not only is the food great, so is the customer service we received every single time. We were so happy when we discovered that Tora Sushi in Astoria and Tora Sushi in Seaside both held happy hour from 4pm to 6pm daily. My wife was thrilled with this finding. To her, it meant she could eat three times as much Seaside Oregon sushi, or three times as much Astoria Oregon sushi depending on what beach location we were staying at. The waiters and waitresses at the Tora Sushi Lounge in Seaside, Oregon as well as the waiters and waitresses at the Tora Sushi Lounge in Astoria, Oregon were both so willing to please and cater to my wife's continuous orders.Tora's Seaside Oregon sushi and Tora's Astoria Oregon sushi both were received quickly and consumed by my wife even quicker. We have been very, very satisfied with the quality of the food and the quality of service we received from both the Tora Sushi Lounge in Seaside as well as the Tora Sushi Lounge in Astoria. We met the son Isaac who was waiting at the Tora Sushi Lounge in Astoria, and eventually met his father who was preparing the sushi at the Tora Sushi Lounge in Seaside. They were both very inviting and caring folks. This reflected into the rest of the employees we have been served by or met. We are very pleased with Tora Sushi Lounge and are now loyal customers. They have ruined my wife and now she will not eat at any other sushi restaurant. We love the Tora Sushi Lounge in Seaside Oregon and the Tora Sushi Lounge in Astoria Oregon. We will always return and always tell people this is where to go. Ate here today, I had the chicken teriyaki and was very unimpressed. My husband had some sushi rolls and also felt they were just okay. The service was fast so that's a plus, but the food was so so. The dumplings or "gyoza" were not good at all. Lesson learned, do not go for "Ethnic foods" at the coast. We won't be back. read more
