I was so disappointed since I suggested this place that I took my taco wrapped it up in paper and hid it!! You should be ashamed to serve that to a person. I made my first visit with my girlfriend. We started with the chips and green chile queso. It was a very good appetizer and the queso was great. A good kick to it and not a normal, boring dip. We also ordered the street corn which was an interesting dish with tons of flavors... Too many, in my opinion. A busy dish that overwhelms you. Too much chile powder for sure. For the main dish I had the Republican and Crossroads. The Crossroads had a lot of flavor and was delicious. The Republican was good, but boring. The way the sausage is sliced makes for an awkward taco. Both were good though. Atmosphere was good. Not noisy or too hectic. Came in for lunch mid-week with about 15 people. We weren't the only ones. With the line stretching out the door of about 40 people in front of us, I was told this is 100% normal around Dallas for lunch time rushes. Wow. So we waited in line for about 20 minutes, and put in our single huge order. Tacos, chips, queso, guac, drinks, done. We sat outside and waited for our food. The chips and salsa, queso, and guac all came out shortly and all were really good. I could always make a meal out of those all by themselves. The guacamole was really good, and the queso was just too good to stop. Hard to share. We were told that this was a solid two taco meal, so when ours arrived I saw they were spot on. Great size and two is just the right amount. The carnitas were good, the toppings simple and fresh. I also had a brisket taco that was quite good I'd get again. The staff were polite and efficient despite every seat being filled the entire time were we there. The line out the door 40 minutes was still there. So come to eat, but plan to wait. I'd come back again and hope it was a bit less hectic, but the food is good. read more

Wow. I don't know if I am happy or sad that I have found this place. I had a busy Saturday, and worked up quite an appetite. I've heard about this place from several people and finally decided to try it. I walked in, and there was probably 1 person in front of me. I told both staff members I wasn't familiar with the place, and wanted their opinion. They guided me to the jerk chicken, the taco with brisket, and the chicken taco. Other than that, if you're in the mood for tacos and good queso, this is not a bad option. Prices are fair, and there are alot of interesting choices here. I wish there were more options that are less "crazy," and more standard, but that's my own personal preference. Service here is also hit or miss; when ordering, the cashier picked up the phone to answer while I was mid-sentence, which I found rude. Customer service was terrible, I had to "pull it out of the cashier" after I told her "I've never been here" when someone tells you that, you are suppose to explain to them how their culture and process works at their restaurant.
