The food is always great, but the person ringing us up could have been better. It's Mother's Day and in the app I had a free chips and queso to use that expired today. You had to spend $25 to get them. I spent $57.91. It would have been a nice little treat for my girls and I have while we waited for our food. The young girl, Katherine who rung us up said it was not possible and that I would have to buy another $25 worth of food to receive the free item. I just told her Nevermind as I just spent almost $60. As quick as I sat back down at my table she went and sat at another table to chit chat with what looked like to be her family or friends. Maybe she really couldn't have just looked up my receipt, but to me it looked like she was just being lazy and wanted to go talk and sit with the people she knew. It's a bummer.

Torchy's Tacos in Surprise knows how to throw a flavor party. I stopped by during their "Hooky Hour" (2-6pm) and grabbed the 3-taco deal--barbacoa, carne asada, and green chile pork--and wow, every bite earned a standing ovation. The barbacoa was rich, tender, and slow-braised to perfection. The carne asada hit with smoky, grilled flavor and just the right amount of spice. And the green chile pork? Juicy, tangy, and totally addictive. Each one brought its own bold twist, and together they were taco-tray magic. Torchy's signature salsas sealed the deal--the creamy orange one is pure gold, and the verde is fresh and zesty. Don't skip the elote either: roasted corn covered in spicy crema, cotija, and chili dust. It's the ultimate sidekick. (And worth the visit alone!) Fun vibe, quick service, and prices that make Hooky Hour feel like a cheat code. Torchy's doesn't just serve tacos--they serve up pure happiness in a tortilla.

tacos were really good a little too spicy for me but if you like spicy stuff, this is a good spot for you. Service was good. Food came out pretty quick. Restaurant was clean. decent spot overall.

I'd never heard about Torchy's until a super cute employee I know told me I should come in while she was working and give them a try. Who knew teenagers know good food We ventured in on a Sunday afternoon and found ourselves pleasantly surprised with an abundance of options. It never crossed my mind that a place could offer so many different taco selections I'm greedy so I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos along with a breakfast burrito Jamaican taco Shrimp taco Chicken taco Each taco was absolutely delicious but the jerk chicken taco quickly became my favorite A friend got the fajitas and when I move his plate to grab a picture you would have thought I committed a crime Yes, they were so good he barely allowed me to take a picture They now have a new happy hour Let's just say I'm looking forward to eating my way through this menu

Their queso. BOMB! It is sooooooo good. Like crack. Addicted already and I've only been twice.

Happy to see this place close to home. I had only had Torchy's one time before this, and thought it was just ok. I decided to come to this one since its right down the street from my house. I liked some things, and didn't like others. Here is the breakdown............... Liked - INCREDIBLE queso. I really mean that. Their queso is possibly the best "dip" I have ever had. Sign up for their club on the app, and you get a free order of it with chips. Score! This stuff is so good! Its cheesy, spicy, rich, flavorful. By far the best thing here. - Steak Fajita Taco- Very tasty! Good meat, a tad chewy, but the marinade/flavor they use for the meat is top notch! I got sour cream with mine and it was a good addition. Didn't Like - Man...it was hot as hell in there both times I've gone, and that has only been for pickup to go. I don't know if I could sit there and eat with how hot it was inside. - Tacos are pricey! $6.00 IMO is a bit steep for a taco. You get 2 tacos and an order of chips and queso, and you are at $25.00 almost, without a drink. Meh. Service was friendly both times I went in. I will be back specifically for the queso. That stuff is like crack. You can get a side order without chips (their chips are great too, I just had chips at home) and its right around $7.00. I will get this often! Even my kids who hate spicy things kept dipping in for more. Its that addictive! Love that stuff!

I ordered the $20 combo came with 6 street tacos. Look at pic they stated and then what we got. No meat whatsoever Taste was good (what there was of it). Just wasn't happy with amount of meat.

First time here - and was pleasantly surprised. The gal at the register suggested the chicken fajita taco and it was really yummy. As you can see I took a bite before I could take the photo. The beans are delish!! The chips were perfect! Love the decor - lots of great options and the prices are super reasonable. If my husband wasn't there I would've bought a hat - they have really fun merch but my husband says I have way too many ball caps We will be back. Looking forward to trying other options

What a great time at Torchys last night! We walked in to a clean establishment and was greeted by a friendly guy at the register. We asked for suggestions since it was our first time in and he was really honest about getting the best bang for your buck with some of the options. I got the Mexican candy marg with the tajin rim and it was so flavorful and refreshing. Definitely a favorite and would go back just for the drink lol! we go churros which came super fast and we should have waited to order them but oh well they were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. For dinner I got the republican with no relish or cilantro and it was so good! The meat was juicy and lean and the sauces and crispy onions really enhanced the bite. My hubby got the wrangler (which I tried) and it was just perfect. It's great that you can get a breakfast taco all day, definitely will be my go to next time. He also got the hog father and it was good but he didn't care for the Diablo sauce and we appreciate they put it on the side giving you sauce control. And lastly the trailer park which was a fried chicken taco which was good but he said the flavor combo wasn't for him. Overall we really enjoyed hanging out and enjoying our food for a Friday night. Everyone there working was nice and we're looking forward to coming back!

We stopped in on Quattro be Mayo for some tacos and margaritas. My beautiful bride and I sat at the bar. Taylor, our bartender, gave us spectacular service! On to the reason we were here, tacos. Since we signed up for the Torchy Club (or whatever they call it) we got a free Green Chili Queso appetizer. Now I am not a huge queso fan but we both agreed this was probably the best we've ever tasted. For tacos, my wife ordered a Grilled Baja Shrimp and a Democrat, I ordered a Green Chili Pork and a Brushfire. Of the four, we both agreed the Green Chili Pork and the Baja Shrimp were the standouts. Don't get me wrong, they all were good. They have a great Happy Hour on weekdays, and a decent bar. We definitely plan to return soon. Pro tip: A seat at the bar gets you full service. P.S. The rocks margaritas are delicious.

Since this was my first visit to Torchy's Tacos, I was excited to review the menu options and make my selection. Atmosphere: extremely clean at this location and the woman behind the counter was very helpful in placing my order. Note: they have kiosk that you can order yourself as well. Service: when you order at the counter you select your seat and they bring your food to you. It was prompt and orderly. The server was very polite. Food: what can I say? I love tacos! This did not disappoint. I loved the fresh corn and spinach added to the grilled chicken taco. It was spicy but not overly hot. Although, If that is your preference, they have plenty of options! The chips and salsa were fresh and the chips came out hot! Added bonus! Overall- the vibe was laid back and a great spot to grab lunch or anytime!

Great service by all the staff. It was a little loud for my liking but you can still hold a conversation. The flavors for a few of their items were really quite good! But some missed the mark. The chicken fajita and steak fajita were surprises. The chicken and steak were both very well seasoned and had great flavor. The tacos were packed with veggies which I enjoyed. The brushfire had a nice combination of flavor and was a favorite. As was the scallywag was soooo close to be amazing. I loved the flavors and the pickled onion, as well as the jam, but the breading on the shrimp was sliding off which turned quite a few bits mushy. The Baja shrimp taco was okay, wasn't a fan of the sauces/salsa that came with it. The peanut butter recees cookie was fantastic. The green chile queso was disappointing, lacking green chile flavor. The fried avacado taco fell short, and was mushy. The green chile taco was also lacking texture and just fell really short of flavor. Would I go out of my way to come here, no, but they are close so I will definitely be back to try some other items.

It's a cool little spot for drinks and a gourmet bite. The kitchen, bar, and seating area are fairly compact. Even though the kitchen is ventilated, you can still feel a bit of the heat and smoke coming off the grill. We ordered the grilled romaine salad (they do charge a small upcharge if you split plates), along with the bao buns and the wagyu meatballs. Everything was well presented, tasty. Overall, a great option for the west side if you're looking for elevated bar bites and good drinks. My tip: grab an earlier reservation if you can, so you have a better chance at the popular dishes before they sell out.

Feel free to post my full visit from your security footage! My husband, kids, and I stopped in for an early dinner, we had never been but see the reviews online so we wanted to try it out! Getting seated, we didn't want a high top and it was the only thing available. The hostesses couldn't give us an estimate of what the wait time would be for a different table, but I'm realizing after our horrendous experience- they probably weren't trained. We ended up just taking the high top to negate any further confusion with a time estimate. It's crowded inside, and your table is crowded. The energy and atmosphere is tense and overwhelming. It's a sports bar, though- so I feel like that's consistent with any other sports bar you'd pop in to. We decided on the build your own appetizer to start, it came out room temperature. While our server was taking our order for the rest of the food (there was apparently an issue with the table next to ours and their food being taken to the incorrect table, again with poor training) the manager went out to the table next to ours to deliver food and turned to the server at my table, taking my order, and interrupted me to yell at her. He yelled at her about putting the incorrect table on the tickets and the food going to the wrong table, yelled at her the right table numbers( I guess for her to remember next time?), and then stormed off. Leaving our server, to pick up the pieces and apologize for an emotionally triggered man that should have some self control if he's leading a team or part of a company. I was absolutely disgusted with the behavior of the leadership in this establishment and the food was unremarkable. Cold, bland, and stingy is how I would describe the food we were served. There were barely any cheese curds on the Poutine, The Ole Smokey pizza was mediocre and the pasta was bland. I think this restaurant rides the coattails of being on the food network but it does not meet expectations, by far. There is a lack of training all around and that falls on leadership, only. The hostesses couldn't give a wait time, the bartender was over serving customers (I'm reporting that separately to the state), and the servers/runners aren't fully trained for the floor- but instead of teaching, training and finding a resolution- their lead will berate and belittle them to satisfy his ego and ruin your experience. I'm actually grateful the food was as mediocre as it was because I'm happy to never be back.

After about 25 minutes (we were told 20), I asked for an update. I stood at the front desk for a full minute while staff counted money--no greeting, eye contact, or acknowledgment at all. It was super awkward. When our table was ready, she just pointed to it from across the room, walked us over, dropped the menus, and left without saying a single word. Definitely not the kind of service you expect from someone at the front greeting customers. Thankfully, our server, Maya, was much more pleasant. She greeted us, got our order right, and the food arrived in about 15 minutes. The portions were huge, hot, fresh, and delicious. It was a bit pricey--about $60 after tip for two meals and an iced tea--but that's pretty typical for a casino. The bartender also leaned over the bar for the gun, filled someone's water and walked to the other end of the bar. He also yelled at a customer that he found the lid to her togo cup and tossed it on the bar. She had to get up from her table to get it. So unprofessional. Maybe he was new? Lunch was so freaking good. Hubs had Thai Noodles. He's not a fan of too much spice. I warned him. He ended up picking out the Thai chilies and said it was incredible, once he got his taste buds back. I had the most unexpected and phenomenal sandwich. Blackberry jam, barbecued brisket and cheese on the thickets delicious sourdough bread. It's on the menu as grilled cheese. I will order it every time. The onion rings were giant and so crispy! Hopefully we'll have better service the next time. First impressions are very important. This one was bad.

We ordered a glass of wine to start off and then ordered the main course. I had the Friday special which was fish and chips with homemade coke slaw. Cathy had the lamb dish which was exquisite. For desert, we shared a slice of baclava cheesecake which was amazing. The prices were reasonable and the service from Patrick was top notch. This is a scratch kitchen so everything they serve you is made fresh by their kitchen staff. I highly recommend reservations as the facility is small and gets busy quick. We will definitely be back!

In an area (Surprise) with a lot of chain restaurants, it's nice to have a gem like The Toast! It's a beautiful somewhat cozy space... that provides patrons enough space to enjoy their conversations (and meals)! Having celiac, it can oftentimes be a challenge for me to trust that I am ordering something gluten-free. At The Toast, we had a fantastic server who also had celiac, so I knew I could follow her recommendations on what was safe for me to eat! That made me so happy! I went with the Prime Rib Tacos... and I have been dreaming about them since! You get three good-sized tacos, so I was able to bring plenty home for another meal. The Prime Rib Tacos are AMAZING!! Always looking forward to my next trip to The Toast! Overall rating: *****FIVE STARS***** Gluten-free rating: *****FIVE STARS*****

My friend got the white beans soup and was quite content with that. Went a second time with two friends for dinner but was disappointed there were no booths so it was hard to buffer the noise from a long table where there were squealing children so it was not a dining hour atmosphere like we were expecting wherein we could have quiet conversation and savor Mediterranean food since it felt like a lunch room, so we had to leave before ordering, but by golly, the menu looked very appealing. We would have sat outside which is a very pleasant area but it was too windy. This area eventually could be even better if enhanced with the wall fountain functioning, and maybe even a central cooling fountain added as well, along with plantings like cypress and dwarf palms to add to the ambiance. This place has the potential for being THE go-to oasis in Sun City and I can envision it being a regular spot to meet up with friends over cool minty drinks with or without a meal. What puts it above many outdoor dining areas around here is that it is set back enough from Bell Road so the traffic sound is not overwhelming and thankfully lacks that annoying "whoosh." May the oasis come to pass!
