My friends and I decided to check out Torchy's Tacos for the first time a couple weeks ago. We went for dinner around 6pm. The inside was busy but there were still plenty of tables available. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. We ordered a number of items, starting with The Threesome. Amongst the 3 of us, we tried the Trailer Park, Democrat, Fried Avocado, Green Chile Pork, and the Tipsy Chick tacos. We also got a side of the Damn Good Tots. For dessert we ordered the Churros. Overall the food was all solid. My favorite bites were the Green Chile Queso in The Threesome, Green Chile Pork taco, and Damn Good Tots. Their queso is actually some of the best I've ever had - and I've tried many a queso. A few items felt a tad under-seasoned. The Trailer Park taco was definitely lacking something - maybe salt, or heat, or both? Multiple tacos would've benefitted from slightly more heat actually. I wish they had more sauce/salsa options so you could add more heat as desired. Maybe this was an option, but we didn't see it while ordering. The churros were good. The Dulce de Leche dipping sauce is the perfect compliment. Torchy's offers a different taco experience with plenty of unique offerings not found at other local Taco joints. It won't be for everyone, but it's definitely worth trying! read more

Love Torchy's Tacos. The queso that comes with chips is rich with a little heat. Let's not argue here, you just need to try it. My wife loved her fajita chicken taco. I loved the Tipsy Chick taco -- marinated and grilled chicken, spinach, grilled corn relish, green chiles, mixed cheese with chipotle sauce on a flour tortilla with a side of bacon bourbon marmalade. That marmalade -- wow. Guy Fieri would put it on a flip-flop and eat it. Friendly employees, quick to offer assistance finding stuff, using the ordering kiosk, etc. Dining area, tables were clean. Ambient music not too loud to inhibit conversation. (Although it can get noisy when it's a full house.) My only reservation is using an ordering kiosk the first time. It's pretty user friendly and includes options to customers your menu item. Only hitch is the "X" to exit a drill down into an item is small and black and situated clear up in the upper right corner. Please get the engineers to make it more noticeable, Torchy's, and the residents of Sun City West will thank you. read more

Placed my order online this time with a set pick up time. I ordered the brisket breakfast taco and the potato egg taco on corn tortillas with the tomatillo salsa. I maybe waited less than a minute and then my ordered appeared in the little cubbie area by the registers. Super easy and quick this way. Tacos were delicious! Who knew teenagers know good food We ventured in on a Sunday afternoon and found ourselves pleasantly surprised with an abundance of options. Happy to see this place close to home. I had only had Torchy's one time before this, and thought it was just ok. I decided to come to this one since its right down the street from my house. I liked some things, and didn't like others. Here is the breakdown............... Liked - INCREDIBLE queso. I really mean that. Their queso is possibly the best "dip" I have ever had. Sign up for their club on the app, and you get a free order of it with chips. Score! This stuff is so good! Its cheesy, spicy, rich, flavorful. By far the best thing here. - Steak Fajita Taco- Very tasty! Good meat, a tad chewy, but the marinade/flavor they use for the meat is top notch! I got sour cream with mine and it was a good addition. Didn't Like - Man...it was hot as hell in there both times I've gone, and that has only been for pickup to go. I don't know if I could sit there and eat with how hot it was inside. - Tacos are pricey! $6.00 IMO is a bit steep for a taco. You get 2 tacos and an order of chips and queso, and you are at $25.00 almost, without a drink. Meh. Service was friendly both times I went in. I will be back specifically for the queso. That stuff is like crack. You can get a side order without chips (their chips are great too, I just had chips at home) and its right around $7.00. I will get this often! The food is always great, but the person ringing us up could have been better. It's Mother's Day and in the app I had a free chips and queso to use that expired today. You had to spend $25 to get them. I spent $57.91. It would have been a nice little treat for my girls and I have while we waited for our food. The young girl, Katherine who rung us up said it was not possible and that I would have to buy another $25 worth of food to receive the free item. I just told her Nevermind as I just spent almost $60. As quick as I sat back down at my table she went and sat at another table to chit chat with what looked like to be her family or friends. Maybe she really couldn't have just looked up my receipt, but to me it looked like she was just being lazy and wanted to go talk and sit with the people she knew. It's a bummer. read more

The Shrimp Taco was exceptionally tasty, boosting with a lot of flavor that I didn't expect! a decent taco, I would wish more as in shrimp but it's solid The Trailer Park taco is the worst thing ever, the smallest fried tender placed in a bunch of lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. I hated the taco so much where I wish I didn't use my stomach space or money to get the thing. Disappointed and ass. The Grande Burrito was cold and mediocre, how the hell did you put something in foil and manage to make it lukewarm-cold and fill it with nothing but cold beans. It was atrocious and a waste of money. The "steak" was too damn chewy and fatty which made me play tug of war with my food. I hate food like that, ESPECIALLY IN PUBLIC. What a great time at Torchys last night! We walked in to a clean establishment and was greeted by a friendly guy at the register. We asked for suggestions since it was our first time in and he was really honest about getting the best bang for your buck with some of the options. I got the Mexican candy marg with the tajin rim and it was so flavorful and refreshing. Definitely a favorite and would go back just for the drink lol! we go churros which came super fast and we should have waited to order them but oh well they were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. For dinner I got the republican with no relish or cilantro and it was so good! The meat was juicy and lean and the sauces and crispy onions really enhanced the bite. My hubby got the wrangler (which I tried) and it was just perfect. It's great that you can get a breakfast taco all day, definitely will be my go to next time. He also got the hog father and it was good but he didn't care for the Diablo sauce and we appreciate they put it on the side giving you sauce control. And lastly the trailer park which was a fried chicken taco which was good but he said the flavor combo wasn't for him. Overall we really enjoyed hanging out and enjoying our food for a Friday night. We stopped in on Quattro be Mayo for some tacos and margaritas. My beautiful bride and I sat at the bar. Taylor, our bartender, gave us spectacular service! On to the reason we were here, tacos. Since we signed up for the Torchy Club (or whatever they call it) we got a free Green Chili Queso appetizer. Now I am not a huge queso fan but we both agreed this was probably the best we've ever tasted. For tacos, my wife ordered a Grilled Baja Shrimp and a Democrat, I ordered a Green Chili Pork and a Brushfire. Of the four, we both agreed the Green Chili Pork and the Baja Shrimp were the standouts. Don't get me wrong, they all were good. They have a great Happy Hour on weekdays, and a decent bar. We definitely plan to return soon. Pro tip: A seat at the bar gets you full service. P.S. Since this was my first visit to Torchy's Tacos, I was excited to review the menu options and make my selection. Atmosphere: extremely clean at this location and the woman behind the counter was very helpful in placing my order. Note: they have kiosk that you can order yourself as well. Service: when you order at the counter you select your seat and they bring your food to you. It was prompt and orderly. The server was very polite. Food: what can I say? I love tacos! This did not disappoint. I loved the fresh corn and spinach added to the grilled chicken taco. It was spicy but not overly hot. Although, If that is your preference, they have plenty of options! Great service by all the staff. It was a little loud for my liking but you can still hold a conversation. The flavors for a few of their items were really quite good! But some missed the mark. The chicken fajita and steak fajita were surprises. The chicken and steak were both very well seasoned and had great flavor. The tacos were packed with veggies which I enjoyed. The brushfire had a nice combination of flavor and was a favorite. As was the scallywag was soooo close to be amazing. I loved the flavors and the pickled onion, as well as the jam, but the breading on the shrimp was sliding off which turned quite a few bits mushy. The Baja shrimp taco was okay, wasn't a fan of the sauces/salsa that came with it. The peanut butter recees cookie was fantastic. The green chile queso was disappointing, lacking green chile flavor. The fried avacado taco fell short, and was mushy. The green chile taco was also lacking texture and just fell really short of flavor. Craving tacos? Nothing like authentic Mexican food, but that doesn't mean it isn't yummy. My neighbors are addicted to Torchy's. Thought it was about time to take of our busy schedules and give them a try. He stopped on the way home from work and grabbed a Republican and a steak fajita. He describes them as Americanized, but good. The taco was like eating 2. No fat or grizzle for the win. 5 stars. We are picky meat eaters and no fat or grizzle for us, thank you. We came back after a dirtbike ride over the weekend. One of the gentleman working was talking us all into getting the teriyaki tacos. He claimed it was one of the best things on the menu. It was also the last day for them as it was is on their rotation menu. Teriyaki tacos, with Sriracha? My husband does not care for Sriracha. He gave it a try anyway. He agrees. I have visited this location twice The first time was a pickup order enjoyed the food. The second time decided to eat in, The staff is very nice and helpful in explaining the menu and made our ordering very easy. My issue was how dirty the tables and the seating was, There was food everywhere on the tables on the benches I had do clean the table and the seating myself while I was cleaning our chips came out and I told the lady that I had to clean myself it was just filthy she apologized and would let somebody know, then all of the sudden 3 staffers came out and tried to clean but by the looks of it don't do it often any food that was on the tables were pushed onto the floor and not swept, it was not busy maybe 6-8 people inside. Then napkin boxes looked like the top of them have never been cleaned since the location opened. It's just filthy the top of the bench had old food in the cracks, floors just so dirt. I wasn't looking for anything but was not even approached by Supervisor or manager but Instead I have to do this. now scares me to know how dirty the kitchen is, If the Lobby is that filthy how dirty is the kitchen. read more

Good food, but PRICEY for tacos. I enjoyed my experience, the restaurant is brand new. You can either get full service at the bar or quick casual in the dining room. They give a menu on the board or can grab a paper menu. Ordering was quick and efficient. I ordered a taco and burrito, my son ordered 2 tacos, we both got a drink and queso and the bill was over 60$ each tacos is between 5-7$ the burrito is 8$ the burrito is twice the size of a taco, at a dollar more. The food was good, I would recommend if you like beans on your food to get them on the side and apply.small amounts as though the beans are good, they overpower a lot of the flavor of the rest of the food. The staff was kind and friendly, they had someone cleaning the restaurant consistently and keeping the tables in order, which was nice to see. They were out of forks and said they wouldn't have any for another day or so, which I found odd given they are across the street from costco, who sells forks in bulk, but that is their business decision to not have forks. Ultimately, I enjoyed the food, I would maybe eat here again, but the price is so high that I wouldn't come frequently. They are a more bougie taco spot vs a traditional taco spot, so if you are looking for some upscale tacos, then this is a good place to try, if you want some more authentic fair that is way cheaper, then you don't need to search too far from here. The food is usually pretty good but ive noticed often that when it comes to consistency they fumble the ball. I have allergies and a good 60% of the time they still add my allergens even when I specifically say to take them off or just order at the kiosk and put it in notes. However they are usually good with remakes and refunds but that was my last experience with what I assume was old management. Here's the thing they have this lady that I guess works Wednesday nights and she is just so nasty. My boyfriend and I got a box of tacos all the same kind but half without my allergen. Easy? Wrong! Apparently not because the guy went and got the manager to help him who assured us she knew what we were talking about ALSO got it wrong and somehow rung in 10 of the same taco as 6 tacos, then 5 tacos, then 1 taco without my allergen. Surprise surprise we pick it up take it home and every single taco had my allergen and when I checked the receipt I saw what I mentioned above so they didnt even get the 1 taco modification right. I think no big deal ill call and get half of it refunded or remade and I get this lady who said she was a manager so I read off the receipt to her and mentioned how not even one was free of the allergen. Now this is where you think that they were so understanding and issued me a refund for the half of tacos I couldn't eat but paid for but nope thats why im here. She got a nasty attitude and told me that she was there and then said it was us who were responsible for the miscommunication because apparently we had to be more clear than 10 trailer park tacos half corn tortilla instead of flour. She got so nasty I had to tell her to knock off her attitude cause I don't appreciate how she talked to me and she proceeded to talk to me like I was stupid and funny part is I had a neutral tone the entire time and didnt raise my voice once so this was unwarranted. She proceeded to refund one single taco and then hung up on me as I tried to thank her for her help and to have a good day. My bf and I have officially slashed this location off our date night list entirely cause not only did she straight up blame us for the mistake but only refunded one of the 5 incorrectly made tacos which are expensive by the way. So if you go there go on any day but a Wednesday I guess. read more

We ordered the $20 meal and the tacos are definitely not as advertised. They were so tiny and just sad. There was a lot left to desire after eating them, which is sad because they were good, but we barely got a taste of anything with how small they were and how little meat there is on them. The service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed the salmon tacos, avocado dip and chips, and the beans and rice. The chips had a nice amount of salt on them which we enjoyed. The Torchy's lemonade was different but very good, as it wasn't as sweet as most lemonades. They have a very nice outdoor patio, more than just throwing out some tables and chairs in front. We brought our pup with us which made it that much more appealing. We'll be back to try other taco offerings. read more

I loved the devil-themed ambiance. It is tidy, clean and has some fiery personality. It lets me know the service and the food will be great. The service was friendly and the employee (didn't know his name) toke our table's trash. He was professional and felt positive energy. The Baja Shrimp I received is delicious! The shrimp was nice and succulent. The shrimp is so savory and goes so nicely with the queso and lime.
