Placed my order online this time with a set pick up time. I ordered the brisket breakfast taco and the potato egg taco on corn tortillas with the tomatillo salsa. I maybe waited less than a minute and then my ordered appeared in the little cubbie area by the registers. Super easy and quick this way. Tacos were delicious! I won't let as much time pass for my next visit.

Torchy's Tacos in Surprise knows how to throw a flavor party. I stopped by during their "Hooky Hour" (2-6pm) and grabbed the 3-taco deal--barbacoa, carne asada, and green chile pork--and wow, every bite earned a standing ovation. The barbacoa was rich, tender, and slow-braised to perfection. The carne asada hit with smoky, grilled flavor and just the right amount of spice. And the green chile pork? Juicy, tangy, and totally addictive. Each one brought its own bold twist, and together they were taco-tray magic. Torchy's signature salsas sealed the deal--the creamy orange one is pure gold, and the verde is fresh and zesty. Don't skip the elote either: roasted corn covered in spicy crema, cotija, and chili dust. It's the ultimate sidekick. (And worth the visit alone!) Fun vibe, quick service, and prices that make Hooky Hour feel like a cheat code. Torchy's doesn't just serve tacos--they serve up pure happiness in a tortilla.

I'd never heard about Torchy's until a super cute employee I know told me I should come in while she was working and give them a try. Who knew teenagers know good food We ventured in on a Sunday afternoon and found ourselves pleasantly surprised with an abundance of options. It never crossed my mind that a place could offer so many different taco selections I'm greedy so I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos along with a breakfast burrito Jamaican taco Shrimp taco Chicken taco Each taco was absolutely delicious but the jerk chicken taco quickly became my favorite A friend got the fajitas and when I move his plate to grab a picture you would have thought I committed a crime Yes, they were so good he barely allowed me to take a picture They now have a new happy hour Let's just say I'm looking forward to eating my way through this menu

Their queso. BOMB! It is sooooooo good. Like crack. Addicted already and I've only been twice.

Happy to see this place close to home. I had only had Torchy's one time before this, and thought it was just ok. I decided to come to this one since its right down the street from my house. I liked some things, and didn't like others. Here is the breakdown............... Liked - INCREDIBLE queso. I really mean that. Their queso is possibly the best "dip" I have ever had. Sign up for their club on the app, and you get a free order of it with chips. Score! This stuff is so good! Its cheesy, spicy, rich, flavorful. By far the best thing here. - Steak Fajita Taco- Very tasty! Good meat, a tad chewy, but the marinade/flavor they use for the meat is top notch! I got sour cream with mine and it was a good addition. Didn't Like - Man...it was hot as hell in there both times I've gone, and that has only been for pickup to go. I don't know if I could sit there and eat with how hot it was inside. - Tacos are pricey! $6.00 IMO is a bit steep for a taco. You get 2 tacos and an order of chips and queso, and you are at $25.00 almost, without a drink. Meh. Service was friendly both times I went in. I will be back specifically for the queso. That stuff is like crack. You can get a side order without chips (their chips are great too, I just had chips at home) and its right around $7.00. I will get this often! Even my kids who hate spicy things kept dipping in for more. Its that addictive! Love that stuff!

tacos were really good a little too spicy for me but if you like spicy stuff, this is a good spot for you. Service was good. Food came out pretty quick. Restaurant was clean. decent spot overall.

First time here - and was pleasantly surprised. The gal at the register suggested the chicken fajita taco and it was really yummy. As you can see I took a bite before I could take the photo. The beans are delish!! The chips were perfect! Love the decor - lots of great options and the prices are super reasonable. If my husband wasn't there I would've bought a hat - they have really fun merch but my husband says I have way too many ball caps We will be back. Looking forward to trying other options

What a great time at Torchys last night! We walked in to a clean establishment and was greeted by a friendly guy at the register. We asked for suggestions since it was our first time in and he was really honest about getting the best bang for your buck with some of the options. I got the Mexican candy marg with the tajin rim and it was so flavorful and refreshing. Definitely a favorite and would go back just for the drink lol! we go churros which came super fast and we should have waited to order them but oh well they were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. For dinner I got the republican with no relish or cilantro and it was so good! The meat was juicy and lean and the sauces and crispy onions really enhanced the bite. My hubby got the wrangler (which I tried) and it was just perfect. It's great that you can get a breakfast taco all day, definitely will be my go to next time. He also got the hog father and it was good but he didn't care for the Diablo sauce and we appreciate they put it on the side giving you sauce control. And lastly the trailer park which was a fried chicken taco which was good but he said the flavor combo wasn't for him. Overall we really enjoyed hanging out and enjoying our food for a Friday night. Everyone there working was nice and we're looking forward to coming back!

Torchy's Tacos is consistently yummy with great customer service! Consistency matters! After a long day at work it's nice to know I can stop and grab dinner on the way home and know it will be yummy! The ingredients are always fresh! If you want a place you know will satisfy your taste buds stop by Torchy's Tacos! Thank you again!

Green Chili Queso. Really, really good!

We stopped in on Quattro be Mayo for some tacos and margaritas. My beautiful bride and I sat at the bar. Taylor, our bartender, gave us spectacular service! On to the reason we were here, tacos. Since we signed up for the Torchy Club (or whatever they call it) we got a free Green Chili Queso appetizer. Now I am not a huge queso fan but we both agreed this was probably the best we've ever tasted. For tacos, my wife ordered a Grilled Baja Shrimp and a Democrat, I ordered a Green Chili Pork and a Brushfire. Of the four, we both agreed the Green Chili Pork and the Baja Shrimp were the standouts. Don't get me wrong, they all were good. They have a great Happy Hour on weekdays, and a decent bar. We definitely plan to return soon. Pro tip: A seat at the bar gets you full service. P.S. The rocks margaritas are delicious.

Since this was my first visit to Torchy's Tacos, I was excited to review the menu options and make my selection. Atmosphere: extremely clean at this location and the woman behind the counter was very helpful in placing my order. Note: they have kiosk that you can order yourself as well. Service: when you order at the counter you select your seat and they bring your food to you. It was prompt and orderly. The server was very polite. Food: what can I say? I love tacos! This did not disappoint. I loved the fresh corn and spinach added to the grilled chicken taco. It was spicy but not overly hot. Although, If that is your preference, they have plenty of options! The chips and salsa were fresh and the chips came out hot! Added bonus! Overall- the vibe was laid back and a great spot to grab lunch or anytime!

The Shrimp Taco The Trailer Park Taco The "Grande" Burrito
    Denis G.

The Shrimp Taco was exceptionally tasty, boosting with a lot of flavor that I didn't expect! a decent taco, I would wish more as in shrimp but it's solid The Trailer Park taco is the worst thing ever, the smallest fried tender placed in a bunch of lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. I hated the taco so much where I wish I didn't use my stomach space or money to get the thing. Disappointed and ass. The Grande Burrito was cold and mediocre, how the hell did you put something in foil and manage to make it lukewarm-cold and fill it with nothing but cold beans. It was atrocious and a waste of money. The "steak" was too damn chewy and fatty which made me play tug of war with my food. I hate food like that, ESPECIALLY IN PUBLIC. Never again with that sad case of burrito. Allat size, nothing special They sell a peanut cookie and it's really good, crunchy and def had that peanut flavor I love. Solid cookie fo sho. I hope in the midst of it all, They can either make food hot and with great flavor or just completely get out of Surprise, AZ

The cocktails are amazing, and the staff always has great recommendations if you're not sure what to order. But the FOOD is a whole other story. Everything I've tried here has been incredible. I genuinely don't think I've ordered a single thing that I didn't love. The atmosphere might be one of my favorite parts, though. It has this beautiful, expensive, upscale feeling without actually being ridiculously expensive. It's so nice to have something like this on the West Side where you can get dressed up and have a nice birthday dinner or date night and feel like you're somewhere special without the price tag being completely crazy. The staff is amazing, the service has consistently been great, the cocktails are fantastic, and the food is incredible. After multiple visits, I can confidently say this has become one of my favorite spots and easily one of the best places in Peoria. I absolutely love it here and will continue coming back!

After about 25 minutes (we were told 20), I asked for an update. I stood at the front desk for a full minute while staff counted money--no greeting, eye contact, or acknowledgment at all. It was super awkward. When our table was ready, she just pointed to it from across the room, walked us over, dropped the menus, and left without saying a single word. Definitely not the kind of service you expect from someone at the front greeting customers. Thankfully, our server, Maya, was much more pleasant. She greeted us, got our order right, and the food arrived in about 15 minutes. The portions were huge, hot, fresh, and delicious. It was a bit pricey--about $60 after tip for two meals and an iced tea--but that's pretty typical for a casino. Their happy hour menu looks great, and we'd return to try the large selection of appetizers for a lighter meal. We took leftovers home, but next time we'd probably order less.

The bartender also leaned over the bar for the gun, filled someone's water and walked to the other end of the bar. He also yelled at a customer that he found the lid to her togo cup and tossed it on the bar. She had to get up from her table to get it. So unprofessional. Maybe he was new? Lunch was so freaking good. Hubs had Thai Noodles. He's not a fan of too much spice. I warned him. He ended up picking out the Thai chilies and said it was incredible, once he got his taste buds back. I had the most unexpected and phenomenal sandwich. Blackberry jam, barbecued brisket and cheese on the thickets delicious sourdough bread. It's on the menu as grilled cheese. I will order it every time. The onion rings were giant and so crispy! Hopefully we'll have better service the next time. First impressions are very important. This one was bad.

The steak was cooked perfectly, and the box tots were these amazing little mashed potato bites with a crispy outside. Absolute perfection. I rarely order dessert, but at this point I trusted his recommendations, so I tried the ricotta lemon stack. Again -- superb. I will start by saying it's a shame because this place has real potential! The crafted cocktails are the highlight as they are beautiful, original, and tasty. The food is good for the most part, but some items are overpriced. An example is the bisque cheesecake at $15 as it was on the small side, round about the size of a flan. It was presented nicely w berries, but not worth $15. I am from CA and not even there! The main issue I had was with the ricotta, pesto and tomato jam jar. This was more like pesto, with Ricotta. The Ricotta being listed first by any culinary standard should be the main feature. But the tapered dish had a small amount of ricotta at the bottom, about a fourth, then half the jar full of pesto, then top fourth of tomatoes.(see picture). I couldn't even dig down to get the ricotta and the huge amount of pesto was overpowering. I politely brought this to the waitresses attention by kindly saying I wanted to give some feedback and explained the expectation and that there was very little ricotta and hard to get to it. She handed me a spoon and a plate and I tried in front of her to get to it and said that's not working. She did say she would give the feedback to "them", but did not offer to replace it or fix it. Perhaps offering to bring more ricotta? For the rest of the evening she did not address the situation and I only ate two small bites and sent the entire dish back. At the end of the meal when I saw this was added to my bill, which I should add was $84 plus tip, over $100, w ricotta being $18 for just me not including the other two at the table, I asked if anything could be done about the ricotta dish that I did not eat. She said she would ask, but came back and said her manager said no because this was just my preference!! I felt sorry for the waitress. If the wait staff is not empowered to resolve these issues on their own then the manager should have come to the table! I said okay, paid the bill and left. They lost a repeat customer!! **Contrary to what management stated below, no accommodation was offered or made besides handing me a spoon and a plate. Also, the promise to discuss w mgmt was not followed up on until I received the bill and reminded the waitress which felt like avoidance, 1.5 hours after I sent the dish back. Perhaps there is a communication breakdown or misunderstanding, but my issue was the excessive amount of pesto (a sauce) and small amount of ricotta. Management prefers to argue and defend (without the facts) vs find a solution and humbly accept feedback. I am a manager myself in the luxury market...and customer feedback is at the heart of growth.
