Reviewers said to get the burger spicy and with special sauce but I stuck with the standard order so I could compare different restaurants. Overall, very underwhelmed. Burger patty had a weird crumbly texture and was devoid of flavor. Philly cheesesteak was one of the worst I've ever sad, sadly enough (and I love them..). The cheesesteak's meat was dry and didn't taste like anything at all...there was just a tiny bit of cheese that added some flavor to the sandwich. I thought the fries would at least be good because they smelled and looked so good but they were very salty and not crispy. Service: guy behind the counter wasn't friendly but he wasn't rude either. Having a horrible experience. Food comes out. Fries are not fresh. Ask 4 new fries. They come back with hard nasty old grease tasting fries. I check my burger No pickles and I asked for a side of pickles. The car hop was trying to go back and forth with me. I ended up calling the restaurant and asked for fresh fries and my pickles. Gees. I came to Tornado Burger over MLK weekend and was able to check this place out! The restaurant is a very informal fast food local joint and very basic in its appearance. Sometimes though places like this have the best food! I was surprised by how good the food was! I was recommended to get the spicy patty for my burger order. I did order that but it was NOT that spicy at all. That was a bit disappointing because my mind was set on it. Regardless though, it was still great! They are definitely generous in their portion amount and in how much they gave to us. I was quite surprised about that! I truly was stuffed from eating here! The fries were over flowing and my meal for a burgers, fries and a drink was under $6.00 which is almost unheard of nowadays if your not going to MC D's and Burger King. I would have given this place blaring stars, however, I'm huge with customer service. I visited here at 3:16pm 8/2/2022. I went thru the drive thru and spent $40 on burgers!! I wouldn't have minded spending $100 if the food is good! The drive thru wasn't packed and moved fairly quickly. I get to the speaker and a lady named ANGELA began shouting! It was clear she was having a bad day. It was my first time here so her line of questions sounded like she had been dealing with "regulars"... questions abt what's on the burger and what wasn't seemed to really tick her off! In addition, I explained to her that I couldn't hear her (I have some deafness in my right ear facing the drive thru speaker but she continued to disregard me! Once I got to the pay Window, I mentioned how rude she was and she said "IM DOING MY JOB"... I then asked her for her name and she said, " YOU DONT NEED TO KNOW MY NAME, NOW GO PULL AROUND AND WAIT FOR UR FOOD!" She spoke to me as if I was her child!! I pulled over and went inside to speak to a manager! She apologized and told me Angela was having a bad day! Got my order placed, Spicy Philly cheesesteak and garlic parm fries and a drink for $10.35 ($1 upcharge was for the garlic parm) or else its $9.35 for a combo. One of my favorite burger spots in the Missouri City/Sugar Land Area. The are legit burgers that taste like the amazing griddle burgers that my grandpa made when I was growing up. I always order the #1 which is a double burger, fries and drink for $8. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $0.25 for the grilled onions, you won't regret it. And the fries are hand cut in store, never frozen. They are unbelievably fresh! It is seriously so much food that you'll be miserable after eating it all! The only reason that I am giving them 4 stars and not 5 stars is because the last 2 times that I ordered through the drive thru, the person delivering the food to my car was not wearing a mask. We went on a Saturday night around 9pm keep in mind they close at 10pm. She got a spicy double cheeseburger added bacon. With mayo, lettuce, pickles, mustard no tomatoes and onions. I got a spicy single with cheese all the way. Both came with fries and a drink, and I'm totally was under 16 bucks. I also got a side ranch for 50 cent, it taste like wing stop ranch. I love a good burger and after checking for a good burger joint in my area, I decide to go here, boy was that a mistake. First they only have the drive-thru open and after you order they bring your order out to your car, the guy who bring out your order is so confused he keep taking the wrong order to the wrong car, finally he locate the correct car. Not Good!!! After I got my order which was a number #1 (Double meat-double cheeseburger, fries & drink). The fries were cold and not completely cooked "not edible". The Burger was just ok but nothing special. This place could use some major updating, the inside of the restaurant looks very eww. I honestly don't think they ever remodeled this place since it was built and who knows how long it's been. Coming in I was a bit skeptical about placing my order but I do see employees cleaning and washing their hands and having gloves on, so I gave them a chance. I ordered the spicy burger with the French fries. The order came out in a timely manner, the spicy burger had a great kick to it with the spice and the flavor was on point. Considering the meat was pretty slim it was actually juicy and not dry, on the other hand the fries needs improvement and more seasoning on it; don't get me wrong the fries tasted like real potatoes but it was soggy and not tasteful. Overall I was satisfy with the food and service but my advice is if you guys want more customers the place needs major work done, honestly its to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if a customer walk in and walked right back out. And for my veggie family members, I get the black bean veggie burger and add american cheese, special spread and pickled jalepenos. If you have never tried this place, try it. You wont regret it. If you've never been to this gem, GO. This is by far one of my favorite burger spots. The patty is always delicious and juicy and the fries are generous and super flavorful. I get the double meat burger in spicy and it's amazing. The veggies are always crisp and fresh. Try parmesan seasoning on your fries and they're amazing. They also have chicken tenders which are so crunchy and juicy. They're definitely a staple. During covid they have continued to serve the community and the line is usually around the building. (line moves pretty quickly so don't be discouraged) One more tip I would add is if you have a bit of a long drive home your fries may get a little soggy because they are SO HOT when they put them in the bag. Drawbacks: The onion straws were excessively greasy. I couldn't enjoy the flavor because I tasted grease in every bite. The philly cheesesteak sandwich was ok but dry. Beware that if you don't eat sticks of butter on a consistent basis, you're going to get heartburn eating here. I was recommended this place by a friend who tried this place and said they had good burgers. I had a craving for a cheeseburger so I decided to give this place a try. The place scream local shack and I love that. Walking in you're greeted with a smiling face. Looking at the menu, I saw they have very fair priced burgers and fries. I ended up ordering the 2 patty with cheese. What i thought was interesting was that they offered a spiciness level which I've never been asked before on my burger. I told them to make mine spicy and was curious to see how it would turn out. I also opted for onion strings instead of fries. Just fyi the onion strings are double the price of fries, but you get 60% carbs. It takes a little while to get your food, I'm assuming because they only cook a burger once you place an order. The burger tasted fresh but really greasy! After I finished the burger I had a hard time eating the onion strings just because I felt so heavy afterwards.
