This is my favorite pizza place that delivers to me! The workers are always friendly and helpful on the phone when I place my order, the pizza and Italian beefs are delicious, and it's reasonably priced. There are only a couple downsides: 1. Their french fries are crinkle cut (a personal preference that I don't enjoy), but the 1 less star isn't for the fries... 2. Their delivery times can be very long sometimes. I've waited over an hour on numerous occasions, which I understand can happen occasionally (as I work at a business with deliveries), but when it seems that they consistently take a long time to get deliveries to people, I would assume they might need more delivery drivers on certain shifts. read more

Giving three stars cause the pizza is good but ordered online at 7:08pm and it didn't get here until almost 9pm. The app said delayed and gave a time of 8:23pm but still didn't get it until 8:52pm. A phone call would've been nice but I had to call to even see if it was coming. Even calling the lady was just like um give him a couple of mins. 15 mins later it's here. We gave them another chance and I'm really happy that we did. Their customer service is second to none. After my first review, the manager reached out to me and apologized for our poor experience with them. They really care about their customers and I would give five stars just for that. We ordered two pizzas this time. A regular cheese and a Margherita thin crust. The cheese had a bit too much cheese in my opinion, but the dough is where the pizzas really shined. Stopped here with a group of 6 for lunch on the way downtown. While it's not exactly a sit-down restaurant, there were a few tables inside to eat at. The restaurant was very clean and the service was immediate. We ended up getting a sausage and pepperoni Chicago style pizza, a thin crust spinach and mushroom, an order of wings, fries, and some Gelato for dessert. The Chicago style pizza was incredible! I could could barely stop eating it to the point that it was a problem. The other pizza is good, but not my style. I found this place on GrubHub listed as a new restaurant in my area, so I decided to give the Margherita pizza a try a few months back. The pizza is excellent. Similar crust to many of the other thin crust places in Chicago, but really delicious flavors. I love the tomato sauce they use. I've ordered delivery from them multiple times and the food always arrives quickly and from a polite delivery driver. I recommend this place to friends and they all love it as well. Definitely give them a try for pizza. I haven't tried anything other than their pizza, but they have a large menu that I'll bet it also quite good. read more

Typical Midwestern pizza, no crust and too much cheese, obviously not hand tossed. Very mediocre product not withstanding the display in the customer waiting area with the company history (founded by a great-grandfather in 1970) that touts its "Sicilian recipes", meanwhile cans of a pizza sauce called "Full Red" are clearly visible from the street. This corner pizza stand sports a complete menu more like that of a full scale restaurant, which does not seem possible (give its small size) unless most entrees items are frozen or refrigerated and then heated up upon a customer order. For your money you could do better in the area with restaurants that take pride in the food they produce rather than mechanically shoving product out the front door, which seems to be the business model here. read more

First...this location does not open until 3:30PM...but they have not posted their hours ANYWHERE on their storefront, so no one would know that. I walked over around 2PM yesterday to grab a couple lunch slices, and was very unpleasantly surprised to make this discovery...as was the delivery driver who was waiting out front to deliver supplies (maybe this is why they were out of things as mentioned in another review). Hopefully this is something they will fix? Not a good start for this new place. On the plus side, I dropped by on Sunday and tried a slice of their Mac-n-Cheese pizza and it was delicious. This is the reason they are getting three stars, or they may have gotten less. How do you not post your hours so customers do not drop by when you are not open, and delivery people don't know either? Also, why would this location open so much later than their other locations? Pete's Pizza, which is five star pizza, is a couple blocks away and is definitely open already, as is Papa John's, and every other pizza place nearby. I shall update this review if these things change. But, for the moment, this is disappointing as I was excited about a pizza-by-the-slice addition for lunch time and for another potential pizza choice. Though miscommunications complicated things, the owner and his son offered me a free meal on the house by way of apologizing for the bad order my guest and I got. I am still not going to be a huge fan of this pizza, but I can now understand why other people might like it. The ingredients were fresh, and the crust was different from the crust we experienced on that first order (it was totally edible this time). For me, though, there still was nothing that made it stand out, and the pizza crust was still not very flavorful and still more like a dough-cracker. But I'm beginning to gather that this is what Chicago thin-crust is like. The non-pizza items I ordered were also surprisingly good. Their sauce is on the sweet side and I would give them a 4 out of 5 on their pizza and a zero on delivery time... It took approximately an hour and 45 mins... They need to work on that. UPDATE: I received a call today from the manager with an apology and he offered a credit on my next order! Ordered from here for the first time tonight through Grubhub. My guests wanted thin crust pizza and I wanted Italian Beef w/ Fries and Cole Slaw. I ordered both and used the Free Delivery w/ Diet Pepsi coupon. I had a good and bad experience. They all said the pizza was PERFECTION, however, my Italian Beef was lackluster. The fries were ok, but my coleslaw and our free Diet Pepsi were not delivered. Not too happy about that. The pizza saved this establishment from 1-2 stars from me. 3 STARS 40 min later UPDATE: Uh, so the most amazing thing just happened. They sent the delivery driver back with the missing Pepsi! We've order here three times. Pizza was good, but two times they messed something up. First time we got only pizza and it was pretty good. Second time they gave french fries instead of a baked potato, but the rest of my meal was pretty good. However, they made the wrong pizza. We had asked for the extra thin crust and got... well, not that. And we know it wasn't that because he had the extra thin crust the first time. The last time though, the pizza remained fine and tasty, but the chicken sandwich was a huge let down. It's 70% bread, 10% lettuce, 2 tomato slices, and then 2 over-cooked, dry pieces of chicken. It was so dry, yet hard, that I couldn't get a bite out without pulling the whole piece of chicken out. Overall, stick with their pizza and you're safe. EDIT: I took the owner's offer and ordered from here once more. While I didn't order the chicken sandwich, we did try more pizza options and were satisfied. But I wanted to update this to highlight the customer service. Calling a restaurant and saying you have a credit based on a review could go many different ways, but the employee asked for some information and politely took my order. He even told me he was happy we decided to continue to be customers. So, long story short, if you have an issue with this location, let them know. Having never found a pizza place on the North side that we are totally satisfied with, I was very interested to try out this new addition to the neighborhood. Unfortunately, they are a big disappointment. We have ordered delivery twice, and live less than a mile away down Irving Park. Both times, it took well over the quoted time; tonight, our 45 minute expected delivery time turned into 100 minutes. On a non-holiday, Tuesday evening with nice weather. Completely unacceptable. I called the restaurant after 90 minutes, and nobody seemed to have a clue. Finally someone tracked down the driver, then told me that they "only have one driver" and that it would take at least another 15 minutes. No apology, no offer of refund, or anything. Poor guy, getting stretched so thin. The pizza itself, when it finally arrived, was fine, if unexceptional, and miraculously not cold. But given the large number of other unexceptional pizza places that manage to deliver in under an hour, I see no reason to order from them every again. read more

I love spicy and they have a spicy sauce option but be warned, it's pretty hot. Not for novices. What kept me from giving this 4 stars was the delivery time, and I have seen from other reviews that this seems to be an issue. I ordered the pizza online at 3:45, (right after they opened) and the guy did not get here with the pizza until 5:25. Plus the pizza was pretty cold when it got here so I was forced to put in in the oven at 300 for about 10 minutes to warm it back up. So while I recommend this place for the food, pick it up or eat it there if you want it in somewhat of a timely fashion. read more

I have a new favorite pizza place! I have a handful of good pizzerias closer to my home but I've recently passed by Tortorice's several times and it made me curious to try their pizza. It ended up bring some of the best thin crust pizza I've had anywhere in the city. I got half pepperoni and half sausage to see if I had a preference. The pepperoni half was good but the sausage half was fantastic. I found the price to be competitive too. Although they deliver I live just outside of their delivery area so I had to drive to pick it up. That is probably for the best because otherwise I don't think I could resist having it delivered almost ever night. read more

This is a horrible place to order pizza for delivery. We ordered through Uber eats and ordered cheesy bread and a deep dish pizza. Delivery said it would take 40-50 mins to come. The pizza came over an hour later and was cold. The order we received was garlic French bread and thin crust pizza. We had paid for cheesy bread and deep dish pizza but were given cheaper items. We called Tortorice's restaurant and told them our order was wrong and the best they could do was give us a store credit and basically disregarded they were wrong and blamed it on Uber and told us to get a credit from them. The manager I spoke to was very rude and had horrible at customer service. He would not listen to me when I told him my order was wrong. Plus he never even sent the correct food we ordered, he just blamed it on Uber. This place has poor customer service and also bad tasting pizza. We ended up eating the thin crust pizza and the pizza was undercooked and the crust and sauce had no flavor. I would never eat here again. read more

My favorite pizza is their extra thin crust with sausage and mushroom. I also order their lemon and herb chicken wings on most orders. The pizza is pretty solid, but nothing over the top, just good. The chicken wings were good the first time I ordered them, but they haven't been consistent? Most the time the chicken wings are a little under cooked, chewy and not crispy, bummer. As the flavor isn't bad, just not executed properly. If they buy a little better quality wing and cook it long enough, it could very good. I've ordered by the slice and a full pizza from this location before, so I'll just base it on that. By the slice was fine - the price was pretty reasonable and the pizza came out fine. I would say that part of it is decent. I ordered a full sized pizza and was very surprised at how expensive it was - about $25 to feed 3 people. When I got the pizza, the cheese had slid off about half of the pizza - it was so warped that I couldn't tell it had been rectangle cut. Still edible of course! I don't think the cheese had slid off in transit either since my home is a short walk away. The pizza itself was just OK - marginally better than Papa John's. The staff was very friendly.
