I had central heat but not central air and needed some repairs to the outside of my home and the outside painted. James a representative from "Total Comfort, Inc." was referred to me by another customer and the was the beginning to resolving all my issue I had with my home. James presented the replacement of my old outdated heating unit and also putting in central air. I could not afford it so James introduced me to the HERO Program. James knowledge of the products and services to make my home energy efficient that his company "Total Comfort, Inc." had to offer, the products and services of another company that would repair and energy efficient paint the outside of my home was beginning of "TOTAL COMFORT", ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AND SAFETY IN MY HOME!!! The HERO Program James introduced me to allowed my the financing to replace the heating unit, add central air, remove and replace all the ducts and vent that we found had aspestos. They had a hazardous waste company come and remove everything contaminated and disposed of the waste properly. What a blessing!! James came out each time the installers came out to make sure he introduced them to me so I would feel comfortable with strangers in my home. James inspected and review the complete installation even on a day off by calling from 97th birthday celebration for his grandmother. Now that is a commitment to excellent customer service. The installers were all very professional. The installers were always very neatly dressed in uniforms, informed me of holes needing to be cut to install and then repair, they covered and protected around the area they worked in and totally cleaned after they finished for the day and after installation was completed. The COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE from TOTAL COMFORT, INC. and their employees is absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!! The new ducts, vents, and central and air and heating units are EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!! The units are so quiet you can be standing outside in the backyard and not even hear them running. The units are so energy efficient my electric bill is actually lower than when I was running fan all over a 2000 sq. ft. home. I HIGHLY recommend "Total Comfort, Inc." to everyone! They have given me "TOTAL COMFORT" in my home and a tax write off. I was TOTALLY impressed when the Vice President of the company came out and visited my home to ensure I was TOTALLY satisfied with my new investment (Central Air and Heating) and the customer service his company had provided me. I am Totally satisfied with the products, installation, service, servicing contract, and that they pulled all the permits, and provided all the contractors to upgrade electrical panels to code and repair any holes that had to be repaired. * BEWARE OF UPCHARGES!! * We bought a new house and the tankless water heater went out. The previous owner had a sticker for this company on the tankless water heater, so we called. The technician showed up to service the tankless water heater, so we could get hot water. He emptied the PVC pipe for the air intake, unplugged the unit, and fiddled around with it for a minute. We confirmed the hot water was running. He said he would need to come back the next day to clean the system. I asked him how much it would cost, he said $149. He charged us the $79 service fee for the initial visit. I asked him what would happen if he didn't come back the next day, he said I wouldn't get hot water, that the tankless water heater would go out again. I agreed for him to come back the next day because I needed hot water in the house, and understanding it would cost $149. He arrived and went straight to the water heater, didn't ask me or talk to me about the process or mention any additional fees. When he told me he was done and handed me the bill on his iPad for $477 and handed me the phone to the company to accept payment!!!! I asked if there were any discounts, he said no. I never agreed to spend $477!! The $149 was ONLY FOR ONE HOUR OF LABOR!!! The chemical cleaning was an additional fee. (He tell me in a dance of anything about any additional charges.) They didn't even provide me with a receipt detailing the charges. I called and spoke to the manager, she said there was nothing she could do other than to remind the technician to be more upfront about the cost of services. She also said there would be no refunds or discounts. I asked for a copy of the receipt emailed to me, she said they didn't have my email on file. She did offer me another year of membership for their Services. I wasn't even a member to begin with. read more

When I thought needed a new HVAC system I called Total Comfort. I found the office staff to be very friendly and professional. They sent out a technician within hours after I called to determine the problem. After deciding on a new system, the regional rep. was at my house the next day. The very next day, a Saturday, two installers spent the day removing and installing the new system. On Monday another tech. came out to check the installation and verify that everything was working to my satisfaction. This company is truly amazing. They said they would be out to check the furnace portion of the system before winter and again to check the air conditioning portion just before summer. Recently someone from the office called to schedule the furnace check up and because I was available that day, they said the tech. would be out that A.M. He showed up about 10 minutes early! I thought the check would take about 20 to 30 minutes. After all it is a new system. I would like to compliment the tech., Edward. He was friendly, professional and answered all my questions. He was there about two hours and checked the burners, the inducer draft motor, the gas valve, the gas line pressure, the ignition system, the blower motor and did a safety check. I had a question about the outside heat exchanger on the A/C unit and he checked it and showed me the readings he was getting and explained what they meant. I have never dealt with someone who was so thorough and not in a hurry to get in and get out. Total Comfort is a Corona based company that has been around a long time and there is a reason for that. They sell only the best equipment and customer satisfaction seems to be high on the priority list. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. read more

This company is amazing! I've always been skeptical about companies that call me on the phone soliciting services but this time it seemed different. The rep on the phone was very polite, considerate and actually seemed to care about what I had to say. As time went on, I found this to be true about everyone I met from the company. My A/C was working ok (as far as I knew) and I really wasn't looking for a new unit. By the way, mine was installed in 1959 :) After inspecting our system and showing myself and my wife how the new systems work and how energy efficient these systems were, we decided to replace our old system. Total Comfort completely removed all of the old dirt filled duct work, the condenser and all of the hardware from the old system. I know it wasn't an easy job but the work crew always had a smile on their faces (under all the sweat!) They had the entire job completed including new electrical wiring to the main electrical panel in less than 2 days. I was and am amazed. This new A/C unit is unbelievable, I have never felt so comfortable in my home before. The air is cleaner, the humidity levels are perfect and I'm sure it is going to help on my electricity costs. After everything was done, James called me a couple of time to make sure that everything was completed to my satisfaction and even helped me fill out the paperwork for my rebates from the City and the Gas company! Again, I give a big 5+ stars for this company and would and have recommended this company to anyone that wants a quality system installed or serviced. They have truly been a pleasure to work with. My heater wouldn't work. It looked like the fire was on but nothing was warming up. I called Total Comfort & they sent a man named Lance to check it out. He arrived on time, introduced himself then went promptly to work. He explained what he found & answered all my questions & seemed quite knowledgeable while taking the time to be sure I understood. Lance gave me 3 options, all of them guaranteed; a new system, a new heater, or possibly repair; the lesser being a "Band aid" so to speak. I told him I was on a fixed income & total replacement wasn't an option at this time. I asked if they put used or reconditioned parts in & he explained that it's pretty hard to find the same parts on a unit as old (30 year Lennox), as mine but he'd call his boss & see what they could do. His boss told me they have excellent financing plans, (something that Lance went over with me) but they understand my income concerns too & would be glad to work something out for me. Well, the next day they called me with a decent price to repair the defective fan & have it put in,. I told them "Only if that nice young man can do it." The following day, Lance came out & finished the work, cleaning it too & gave me a coupon for my next service call. That was 4 months ago & everything's still working great. I hope my heater & ac make it through September, since that's when I get my next pension withdrawal & can afford a whole new AC & heater. Plus I can get a rebate for the energy saver on it from the light company & more. I definitely would recommend them & have told all my friends. read more

I received a discount offer in the mail for a Heat and Air Conditioning Tune-Up, so I called on Sunday, thinking I would leave a message on their machine and they would get back to me on Monday. I was very surprised that my call was answered that day, and they scheduled me for an appointment on the following Tuesday. I was given a choice of times. On Monday, I received a call from the office, confirming the information, and telling me that there was actually an opening that same day (Monday) if I wanted it. Tues was better for me so I kept my original appointment. I received 2 calls from the office earlier in the day on Tuesday, letting me know that they would call again when the technician was on his way, which they did. The technician was Edgar, who was very professional and polite. He wore gloves and put paper booties on his shoes before coming in the house. He also had his own rug to put down on my wood floor!. Edgar was excellent. He cleaned the entire HVAC system, explaining to me how it worked as he went. He also showed me where the air filter was, how often to change it, and what size filter to get. Then he went outside and completely cleaned the outside unit so it looked brand new again. He told me how to clean it myself with the hose. Edgar was here at least an hour and a half, he was so thorough and patient with all my questions. I had been unable to find the air filter so I had a lot of questions. I am extremely pleased with the service and will definitely use Total Comfort, Inc. again!!! read more

I like to thank Jose ,Mike and Phil for all the work they did to install my heater and air conditioner system. Before they sold me the unit, Jose first tried to repair the old one , but after realizing it was just too old ( 25 Years) it was time for a whole new system Jose was able to deduct the cost of the repairs towards a new system . The new system was installed in one day by Mike and Phi,l two guys who really know their there stuff. The new system runs great.The wireless thermostat comes in handy to control the system with my smartphone when I am not home. And the Ionic filter feature keeps the air pure in the ENTIRE house! ! it is very rare these days to find honest people. Having dealt with a lot of service issues that I can't do myself, I run into some shady characters. This company is not one of them. I had him come out in the first place for a free second opinion. The first company tech barely diagnosed the problem before opening a book filed with prices for NEW units. He never really wanted to fix the unit. Jose never tried sell me a new unit until we first explored fixing the old system. It was not until I made the decision to buy a new unit that we talked about pricing a new system. If you are reading this review don't hesitate to call Total Comfort! We were interested in replacing our old forced heating unit and also having air conditioning installed in our two story house. We had numerous companies come out to bid our job but decided to go with Total Comfort because they made us the most comfortable. Other companies would offer certain things for our job. But only Total Comfort checked off all of our needs and concerns with a great price too! We liked that they recommended replacing all the old duct work so the new system would be working to its real potential. Other companies tried to take the easy route with not upgrading our ducts but quietly stated if we weren't happy with the performance of what were would have them install it would be the fault of the old duct work. Why would we take the cheap route and put an energy efficient system in knowing our ducts wouldn't help the equipment do it's job? Total Comfort wanted to do the right thing from the beginning. I've been a Total Comfort customer since 2012, when they first came to my rescue regarding a failed air conditioner. Service is always outstanding and they keep my system running in tip-top condition. But on occasion, things break. Thank goodness for Edgar! He arrived, assessed the problem and explained exactly what needed to be done. It took another day to get the repair completed. Edgar arrived promptly as scheduled and went to work. It was a big job and completed outside in the heat of a very warm day. Still, he did it! Yay!!!! The unit is running perfectly now. Not only did he fix the air conditioner, he also repaired the latch on my gate! I was so pleasantly surprised to discover that after he had left. It had been bugging me but I had no idea how to fix it. I'm very grateful that he took care of this for me. What can I say? I'm very pleased with Total Comfort. I trust the company. They do excellent work. I don't feel that I'm being cheated. I've used them for several things: the air conditioner, the furnace, and new duct work. A few weeks ago when the weather was hitting the 90's, of course my AC system at home had to fail. I called around for service and again for a second opinion. These people didn't seem to care about anything that wasn't pushing a new unit down my throat. Saturday morning while I was cutting the lawn, my neighbor came out. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this company. They are very professional and when I called to see if there was a technician available to check why my A / c was not turning on they sent one out that day. So I have to thank Edgar V. From the moment he arrived he was very polite and professional. Right away he introduced himself and the company he worked for. Edgar made sure I knew step by step what he was doing and why he was doing it. He also made sure his shoes were covered before stepping in my home, which no other company I've come across has that respect. TOTAL CARE'S Yelp Review: On 09/03/19 I contacted TOTOL COMFORT AC/HVC Company in Corona, CA and explained that I contacted another AC/HVC Company (ALLSTAR) from Rancho Cucamonga, CA and he didn't do a thorough Job and all that he did was walk me through what he was checking until he used up a full hour. He also recharged my compressor with the Freon type replacement and after that charged me for Labor, Freon(?) at $609.00. What a rip off! When TOTAL COMFORT's Serviceman Kyle made a return call today 09/07/19 after the initial contact on 09/03/19 he found that a PVC Water Condenser Drain line was nearly fully clogged with dirt & debris. After cleaning it out and improving the PVC drain structure the system is fully operational and is Cooling to the Around 74 degrees. The Last 2 days we endured temperatures in the middle to upper mid 80's in our home I want to commend this Company and their Serviceman Kyle for doing a complete assessment and being able to find the problem. I previously have a family friend that does my air conditioning services but the other day I was doing some yard work in my front, putting up a wall in my yard and was lifting quiet a few cinder blocks from my truck... Pretty heavy as you might know. But 1 of your technicians by the name of Jose (think his last name is Vasquez or Vargas) was driving by and happened to notice me, and offered a hand to help me unload my truck. I really appreciated the help. we carried a conversation for a few minutes afterwards. He told me you guys offer a maintenance program. I told him I would really consider it. Water heater broke. The Total Comfort service rep showed us where the system was leaking and since the unit was 14 years old, we decided it was time for a new unit. The rep then called the office and a team of two other reps with the heater we ordered were at our home within an hour. While they were replacing the water heater, the original service rep was adding some new parts to our air conditioning unit that are making it work more quietly and efficiently. This unit is also 14 years old. The rep then inspected our furnace (everything fine) and showed us some ways to improve the AC filtration and a cost much less than we'd previously been quoted by another contractor. Everything was done within three hours. The service reps -- Jose, Mike and Phil -- were all very professional, friendly and accommodating. Edgar Vargas is the name of the technician who came to our house to do maintenance check on our heating system. As he was inspecting the furnace he realized that we've been wasting too much natural gas because of high gas pressure and so he turned it down. This is great savings for us. As part of the inspection process he offered to sell this great quality type of filter that would protect the blower motor from accumulating dusts. We only get to replace this new filter once a year so this saves us from changing our 3 ceiling filters every 3 months not to mention the protection It provides to the blower. The company offered a no-interest financing for 6 months for a good price through Edgar's haggling skills. With the filter that we bought + 2 extra refill filters, extended 2-year membership with Total Comfort Inc.,installation and warranty, who could ask for more? We give Edgar 5 stars for doing a great job! read more

I've had AC problems for a few years and have had other techs out with nothing changing for the better. My wife set an appointment with their guys to come out and take a look at the system at no charge and service it. Matt was the main guy for this and was very thorough and extremely easy going putting my six year old at ease as well as my dog. He explained that the major problem with my system was a lack of flow due to ancient duct work. He offered to have his supervisor come out and give us a no obligation quote and let us know that the Hero program would probably qualify for us but he wasn't sure on the details so didn't want to misquote. On Saturday Lance came out and gave us a ton of information and options including how to use the HERO program and its benefits. long story shortened we are taking advantage of the new knowledge and getting some new ducts installed at a reasonable rate. read more

I was recommended here by a great friend of mine, they told me the a/c worked terrifically and the people were fast, convenient and incredibly friendly. My old a/c (before Total Comfort, Inc.) was a huge piece of junk having to sit in the middle of the room, and what made it worse was that the "cold air" was not that cold.We had three additional fans in the house, so we can get some air flow because it wasn"t enough with just the a/c itself. So yeah, of course after i here this from my friend I'm like wow! I need to try this A/C company. And she was spot on, I called in, and with 2 hours they dropped it by! Omar Taylor was very happy, nice, and proud worker. This a/c is so much cooler than my old one, and it's not taking up nearly as much space as the other one did. So yes, i love it!
