I love this bakery and their cakes! My sister got me the Strawberry Cloud Cake ($32) for my birthday and I could not be any happier with the quality and presentation. We tried to preorder online during Thanksgiving week. However, we were unable to so we called their bakery. They suggested that we call in advance for a stock check and do a walk in. My sister called on the day of and they reserved the cake for 30 minutes before picking up. The Strawberry Cloud Cake was everything that I wanted for a birthday cake. The price was reasonable and they also offer a larger size for only $4 more. Their cloud cake was very moist and soft. The strawberry flavor was subtle and not too sweet or overpowering. I like how their cloud cake is layered and has strawberries embedded inside. Not only is it pretty on the outside, but also pretty on the inside. Overall, a beautiful and delicious cake! This review is strictly about the cake at Tous Les Jours in Cerritos. I went to Tous Le Jours fairly early in the morning to check out their selection of birthday cakes for my wife. When I got there around 8:30am, they had a descent number of cakes on display. As my wife *loves* chocolate, I immediately noticed this yummy-looking chocolate cake. It had shaved chocolate all over, some sliced chocolates and chocolate cream, and of course, the cake itself chocolate flavor. "This is it!,"I said and bought it, imagining the nice, moist chocolate cake. Everything I had planned to celebrate this special day was going so well: Opening of gifts in the morning, lunch at her favorite restaurant, a little outing afterwards, and then a nice dinner at a new European-Japanese fusion restaurant. Thumbs up on everything! Then the dessert ... yes, the yummy-looking chocolate cake. Candle lighting, birthday song, blowing out of candle and some pictures, all done! Let's dig in! We all get a piece. Take a bite and then we all look at each other. Nobody says anything, but I knew everyone was thinking the same thing: Cake is as dry as desert!!! The clerk never greets customers and I observed those clerks in the store for at least 30 min, they seem genuinely unhappy and never communicated with each other, they just look like a dead fish all the time. If they are not happy with their jobs, why are they still choosing to work there? Or the culture /message of this brand is just like this: being distant with customer? I asked them to get me some napkins, and there are two young people standing behind the counter, and both of them pretend not hearing that, and one of them insisted not looking at my way. Tous Les Jours is a decent alternative to the usual boujee French bakery I go to (Paris Baguette). It is closer to my home, easier access, less crowded, and OPEN right now, which is something worth a lot of brownie points for any business at the moment. My fiancé and I stopped in last weekend for some treats, to try their stuff for the first time. We got everything shown in my photo, plus iced coffees. I had the caramel macchiato and he had the iced pumpkin spice latte. I'm not really a pumpkin coffee fan, but I gotta say that I liked his drink more than my own. The pastries were hit and miss. Very overpriced, but some were worth it, I guess. The macarons were gross, straight up. No sugarcoating it, they were nasty. Didn't taste anything like their respective flavors. We had chocolate, cookies and cream, red velvet, and blueberry lavender. Nope nope nope. My fiancé said that the croissants with ham and cheese and spinach and feta were absolutely horrible. He spit them out on the first bite. However, the chocolate strawberry cloud cake was amazing, and the strawberry cream croissants were delicious. So I guess it really depends on your taste and whether you decide to step out of your comfort zone or not when trying their foods. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and actually seemed a bit irritated with us for asking questions and taking too long to pick out our treats. Girl kept trying to charge us and be done with us before we were done choosing from the cold case. It was a bit annoying. Also, all our stuff totaled out to almost $50... So yeah, super overpriced for pastries that can't live up to their prices. All in all, I would probably only go again for the iced coffee and strawberry pastries. read more

Horrible service. The night team is absolutely rude, lazy and unprofessional. We arrived at 7:50 pm and the posted closing time was 8:30pm. Family came over from out of town and wanted coffee after a long trip. I was excited to take them here. When we ordered some coffee-- the rude barista said, "sorry we closed our drinks station early." We asked why they said, "sorry we just wanted to close drinks early." Unbelievable!!! I had heard about Tous Les Jours and finally had the opportunity to visit the one in Cerritos. It is as many parallel -- a bit upscale version of Paris Baguette. Korean bakery meets delicate french baking styles. Things were well packaged and individual to accommodate quick grab and go amidst covid. This particular location has a nice parking lot and sitting area. Easy to enter and exit. Better drink selection than Paris Baguette and dare I say better Cloud Cake -- for which Paris Baguette has a similar light cream and fruit cake. I preferred the Cloud Cake here than our usual Paris Baguette fruit cakes. Breads were tasty and prices were a bit higher.. but worth when paralleled to quality. Folks working here and visiting were polite, covid compliant, and helpful. Would visit again and do recommend for a quick need on birthday/ celebration cakes. New favorite bakery! They just opened during quarantine across my parents house and the establishment is just beautiful! They bake all types of bread like the ones that you would find at 85 degree bakery and paris baguette. They also have an assortment of sandwiches, cakes and macaroons. They have a wide variety of baked goods that I've never even seen or heard of before like curry croquette and a kimchi croquette! Can't wait to go back to try all the different types of breads except I am trying to lose that covid weight and all this bread doesn't help. They had forgotten my order. No apologies that time either. I sense a trend. Once other time, they forgot to put a macaron in my bag. Soft opening happened at the beginning of COVID and when we went to check it out, there were barely any baked goods on the shelf and bare bones offerings. Fast forward 6 months later and they are fully stocked with a variety of Asian-French fusion goodies and a small selection of hot and cold and seasonal drinks. 3 stars customer service, 4 and 5 stars bakery items. Open Xmas Day: We felt bad for the workers/business and wanted to give them business, but we didn't feel welcomed nor were we ever greeted. So you don't have to figure it out for yourself: All customers are provided at entrance, disposable gloves and a tray. All goods are individually wrapped in plastic. We tried red bean donuts: black sesame top and sugared in a paper wrapper, then individually wrapped. Fresh and good amount of red bean filling and tasted yum! Sugared was really good too and the paper wrapper helped. Sugar melts in plastic wrapping and creates a slimy residue, paper didn't cover the entire donut. Unfortunately, Donut Twist with sugar coating: this did NOT taste fresh (maybe old oil?) and plastic wrapped, sugar turn slimy and unappetizing. I read other reviews before, but never thought stale product would be the norm. Staff not friendly, and we were not greeted by either 3 workers...we were the only ones there. We were compassionate that they were working on late on Christmas Day, but we were not welcomed. Being a new business, customer service is important, please make your customers feel welcome or acknowledged. Restrooms closed: I understand, but no exceptions for a little girl. Due to COVID, I understand, but makes you think that their sanitation methods are not modern or easy. One of 3 workers standing around doing nothing, no other patrons inside, couldn't spray or sanitize after? We had to leave in a rush, we would of spent a lot more money otherwise.
