It seemed like it had been frozen and then thawed before being sold, as the cream and the cake inside were still frozen. Great bakery items, price slightly above average. I very much enjoyed The+ Milk Bread. These were discs of fluffy bun with vanilla custard inside. The custard was just the right sweetness, not that sweet (think Asian sweetness), so overall the item maintained the light and fluffy aspects even with the custard inside. Whole Milk Load was light and fluffy, great to make sandwiches, or toast, or french toast, or just eat straight. Soboro Pastry is a default pastry with peanut crumble on top (think Asian Pineapple bun and replace pineapple topping with peanut). It was one of the more savory items, not containing and sweetness, and the peanut topping adding a slight crunch to a soft bun. Yuzu Pie will either be tasty or not, depending on whether you like yuzu. It has a potent paste inside, the strongest yuzu flavor I have tasted. It kicked me in the mouth, and was too strong for my liking (and I like other yuzu pastries and drinks). A few items were heavy and oily. These include the Shrimp in a blanket (three shrimps in a croissant), the Sweet Rice Donut with red bean filling, and the Mushroom Onion Cheese Pastry. 3.5 stars. Located on the corner of Carmenita and South (next to Ralph's) in Cerritos, this bakery has a wide variety of Asian-style French pastries. Like many of these types of bakeries, the pastries are in glass cases. When you enter, grab a tray and either tongs or plastic gloves to select your choices of the many breads, rolls, tarts, croissants, etc. There are cakes and macarons in a display case near the register too. Coffee available also. I got several items on this visit: A vanilla cream croissant, a strawberry turnover, and six macarons. The macaron flavors I purchased were salted caramel, cookies and cream, chocolate, lemon, blueberry-lavender, and coffee. The vanilla cream croissant was superb. A deliciously crisp & buttery croissant was filled with a luscious vanilla custard. You know how some pastries you get barely have any filling, taking several bites before you even get to it? That's not the case here. It was stuffed with vanilla filling, gobs of it in every bite. The strawberry turnover was good but was like the sad pastries mentioned above, having minimal filling yet it was evenly spread so you got the strawberry flavor in each bite. The pastry itself was pretty good, crunchy with a sugar glaze on top. The macarons were a disappointment. The cookie shells on all of them were soft and mushy, not slightly chewy as they should be. A couple had an odd flavor to them, that taste when something has been in the fridge for awhile. The salted caramel, chocolate, and blueberry-lavender had decent flavor although on the weak side. The cookies and cream didn't have much flavor at all. The lemon was good if you prefer a sweet, gooey lemon pie filling flavor without any citrusy taste. I prefer a tart filling. The coffee was the best with a strong flavor but again it was a sweet coffee without any hint of the bitterness of real coffee. I wouldn't bother with the macarons again and would stick to the pastries. Service was prompt and pleasant. Prices are on the high side. There is plenty of parking in their lot which is separate from the shopping center's parking. read more

I usually just stop by to pick something up and leave. Never actually stayed and sat down but they do have wifi so it would be a good place to work. There's indoor and outdoor options for seating though the more chatty people sit outside. Lots of breads and pastries to choose from. Typical hot dog bread, milk bread, croissants. Castellas. They also have. Fridge areas full of sandwiches and parfait and cheesecake. Then by the cashier the have the cake slices and full size cakes. They also have coffees and drinks. There's really something for everyone. And if you're going to spend the day on your laptop here you've got caffeine, lunch, and snacks. read more

I'm tried the matcha and I usually like my drinks sweet so it wasn't great. But I think it was like REAL matcha so it wasn't sweet. I've tried a few of the pastries and cookies here. They're all good but nothing special. Value-wise, it's a bit over priced. I think it makes sense because they're positioned as a higher-tier brand, but there are a few other places I enjoy going to for their coffee and lattes aside from this place. They have a decent selection of pastries, and I did buy one of their matcha cakes for a birthday once. Overall, would recommend trying if you've never been, but it's not one of my top places to go in terms of this category of food place (cafe/pastry/desserts). read more

Good cakes and bakery in French style. Howey, the new blueberry birthday cake was not as good as the old one; it's smaller but better.

Absolutely love their macaroons. You can tell that the filling inside is really fresh and doesn't taste like it has a bunch of sugar or preservatives and is the perfect consistency. The cookie part is also good every time; really soft but not crumbling apart in your hands. Their slices of strawberry and mango cake have also been my personal go-to for birthdays. Their fresh pastries and breakfast goodies are also really good. They used to have this shrimp pastry I used to get in the mornings and it was savory and filling, and a hit in the office. read more

My boyfriend and I came here today after our neighbors mentioned it to us. The Shakerato was delicious and you can't even taste the oat milk. Caramel macchiato, a classic of any coffee spot, was sweet but with a bold espresso flavor. The pastries all looked fresh and wanting to be eaten haha. Even the sandwiches looked freshly made. Next visit will be sandwiches. For this visit we got the strawberry croissant, taro bread and ube donut. Only complaint would be the parking lot is small BUT parking in the lot next too, optometry, fixes this problem and the service is quick so cars aren't staying too long. read more

Is this a coffee shop or a bakery? I came in tonight to get an iced americano and they stopped making coffee 30 minutes before the stated closing time. If this is primarily coffee, that's some poor service and shows some laziness with the staff. Their Americano are good quality and I was hoping to get one as I just got off work and rushed it to get here before they closed. Ok. It's almost 3am and I am still awake. Why you ask? Well, I asked if their Lavender Latte was decaf and the cashier said they could make it decaf but I've been lying in bed for 4 hours, wide awake. It was good tasting and the right temperature but I'm still mad that I can't sleep... Lessons I've learned... 1. Don't get their lattes at 7pm because they say it's decaf then you end up later staring at the ceiling for hours realizing that maybe they aren't decaf 2. Don't come here at 7pm unless you want the leftover pastries (there is a scant amount left) and the employees are ready to close shop so don't expect any pleasantries like "Hello" or "Thank you" 3. Talk loudly when you are wearing a mask because my husband ordered a Chai Tea Latte and ended up getting a chai tea bag in hot water 4. DO come here right when it opens to get the best pick of pastries (my fav is the Mushroom croissant pastry) 5. The Tomato & Ham croissant is more on the sweet side so if you're thinking this is savory, think again 6. From the handful if times I've been here, it hasn't been that crowded inside or outside so if you want a place to study or read a book, this place is less crowded than Starbucks and other franchise bakery spots. 7. Nice ambiance! Tall ceilings with vent pipes showing reminds me of a cafe you'll find in DTLA or NYC. Good spot to take someone visiting from out of town. When the pastries are fresh and you come here in the morning, you will be a happy customer. Come here at night, and you'll end up disappointed. If you're looking for straight up coffee and pastry in the morning I recommend this spot but all in all for variety and selection of pastries and drinks I much prefer 85 Degrees. read more

There were many young workers here and they were all helpful. The cashier was super sweet, and even the baristas who were making our drinks. We asked for some of our breads to be warmed up, and they gladly helped us out with it. The ambiance was pretty beautiful, modern, and new. I think this place is a bit new, but it's been only here for like 2-3 years from what I remember. Anyways, the only concern I had was how unprofessional, and disturbing a worker was acting, she seemed to be a much older lady (probably around in her 50-60's), and she was probably the manager of the establishment. She kept yelling at two of the young, male workers who were stocking up bread and working around the bakery area where customers were purchasing fresh breads. I did not enjoy this uncomfortable situation, and also heard her speaking in Korean to ask if the workers has clean the day before. She was just nagging, accusing, and was a bit too much for the customers to hear, especially around 9:30am in the morning. It was super unprofessional, and it should be brought up when they have a meeting or etc. All in all, everything else was a great experience! I would have given this place five stars only if that manager lady didn't ruin the mood for us that day. read more

Tous Les Jours is such a cute little bakery. Seems like a good spot to just sip on some coffee on a gloomy weekend morning with some loved ones. They beautifully decorated their interior for the holidays as well. I called in to see if they had cake options my family would like on the phone and the worker was so helpful and happy to answer all my questions because it was my first time looking into this place. He shared the most popular ones and went over which options would be good for people who like lighter cakes (like my family and me.. it's like he read my mind), and even told me what was currently in the case/what would be available later in the day.
