Fun place to go to for drinks. Especially at sunset. It's a hotel bar in the tourist area so be prepared for higher prices. Services is always good. Music playlist is questionable, seems to be all songs that mention California. Definitely interesting yet funny. read more

I've been here a few times. It's a great location and spot to watch the sunset. Service has always been good. Last night Dominic was very helpful. It was a little chilly out so he offered a heater and blanket. On my previous visits I've had cocktails and flatbread. Both of which are fine but not great. This visit I wanted something a little more substantial. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with fries. HUGE mistake! The ciabatta bread was rock hard and very dry. It was not even slightly edible. So bad that I took the roast beef lettuce & cheese off the bread. The roast beef was low quality deli meat. The fries were ice cold and very over cooked. Hands down the most disappointing meal I have had in a very long time. It's likely I'll return at some point because my friends like to go there but I will not be ordering any more food. read more

Our experience here was quite excellent, with a beautiful rooftop view, attentive service, and high quality food and drinks this was a five-star experience. Our server Tyler was more than delighted to accommodate the needs for my husband and I, he gave us plenty of recommendations for our preferences and overall made our experience so memorable by paying attention to the key details of our conversations throughout the night. The ambiance was laid back, dim lights at night with fire pits and standing heaters. The pizza was nice, the salad were delicious (mmmmm mmm) , the chicken dimmers and waffle fries were not the best but I guess the figure they'd be mostly for kids. The food was really sub par, I had a chicken, mushroom and avocado sandwich. There was hardly any chicken on it. I had asked for Swiss cheese to be added, and it wasn't. There was no avocado and was generally bland. The fries were cold. The service was friendly, but slow and there was only one other couple when we sat at our table. The rooftop bar is nice and the espresso martini actually pretty good, but the bar closes a bit too early at 9:30. Should stay open until at least 10:00. The bartender (8/11/25) has no personality and is rude. He made two of the espresso martinis for us, shorted them both, but left plenty in the shaker to fill them both up instead of dumping it down the drain. Why waste it when you can make a customer happy with a full drink. Two 3/4 full espresso martinis for $36.... Hmmmm. read more

What a beautiful spot for a drink and snack. The best tables go quickly but if you're there a bit before sunset you should be okay. It is order-at-the-bar kinda spot so no servers. Food/service terrible. I was surprised that a place that boasts being such a cool spot was just a poorly-lit outdoor space on top of the hotel. The view is pretty, but the yard furniture is pretty uncomfortable. All they had without gluten was French fries, so stay away if you're celiac. This place has a lot of potential. Beautiful rooftop with views of the ocean, decent furniture and fire pits, plenty of seating, good speakers/ pleasant music.... What I wasn't expecting was that it's more of a pool side (without a pool but to paint a comparison picture) window to order snacks and drinks. We were expecting more of a restaurant vibe, so we just had a drink and pretzel bites and went to another restaurant for dinner. It was okay.... But the potential to turn it into a 'real' restaurant is there. Add a few more entrees to the menu and some wait staff and it could compete with the other restaurants in the area. They could always test the water with weekend brunch to see how they do. I would love to drink mimosas and have a sit down brunch on that rooftop. Or a glass of wine and a dinner entree. I guess we just aren't that big into having to go back to a counter any time we want to add something to our order. read more

We were excited to try this new place. The views are top notch for sure. The food - not so much. We ordered the short rib flatbread that had absolutely NO taste at all! It was boring, plain, and so not worth the money. Also there is nothing on the menu for kids. Why not serve a grilled cheese or pasta? It's a total miss for food. While the views and ambience are hard to beat here or anywhere in Carlsbad, the food and drinks are truly disappointing. While you do get a generous amount of pretzels, they seem microwaved; hard and chewy. Cheese has already hardened on top when we got them, maybe it had been sitting a while. I was looking forward to them, as I get pretzels whenever they are on the menu. The summer salad was decent, thankfully not too disappointing. As for the drinks, the spicy margarita was mostly sweet/sour mix, was hard to drink. This is after they tried to serve a different type of Tequila than advertised on the menu, the other bartender didn't like that we pointed that out, made a super rude face right in front of us. Overall if you're looking for views this could be the place for you. Don't expect much from drinks, food or service. read more

Whoever is doing their social media is great! But very disappointing once you arrive. My friend went 2 days after Christmas and their payment system was down and none of the patio heaters were on or working. She said service was very slow. Then not knowing she had been the day before, I surprised her and took her there the following day. Same thing. We waited at the bar for a LONG time (only 1 person in line ahead of us). When it was finally our turn (we were just popping in for 1 quick round of drinks) the bartender informed us that his payment system was down and h me had no way of ringing up our order and basically told us to go somewhere else.....not good for business. Again, none of the patio heaters were on or working. With so many options in town, I doubt I will ever go back to give them another shot. Sad because the spot has so much potential. read more

Went here around 4:30 pm on a gloomy day, the space is beautiful the cocktails were great but nothing was as amazing as the view!! even on the gloomy day it was beautiful. Once the sun set it was very dark so it was hard to see any food but it was still super nice! deffinetly my new favorite drink spot! they don't have servers so you have to order online which was a little confusing, but the bar staff was great when helping me out! read more

I really wanted to love this place! It is cute and has a great view for people watching, and the staff was super friendly. When we showed up (around 5:30pm on a summer Saturday!) it was pretty slow and we got our pick of tables without waiting. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening until we got our check back, when we realized we were charged for two additional drinks to the tune of $50. I'm glad we were paying attention and were able to bring it to their attention, but since they had already charged my card I'm still out an extra $160 until my bank processes the refund. We live in town, but had we been on vacation that would have been a major bummer. We get that accidents happen, it was just unfortunate. If you do decide to come just be aware of what you're ordering and make sure to double check your bill. read more

We arrived to rooftop on Sunday (holiday weekend) and it was a bit of a zoo - people clearing out others' dirty dishes, kids alone at high tops with adults nowhere to be found, lots of strollers. It's self seating and bar service. They aren't turning over tables for new customers and there's no way waitlist or organization system - just the Wild West. Vibe was weird. We left and had a great dinner and drinks elsewhere. Would love to return if they make some changes. read more
