I'm writing this review after eating at Townhall three times. I have to say that every single time I've eaten here, the service was great and the food was AMAZING! I've tried my best to venture and try different foods every time I've come to Townhall and nothing has disappointed me. My go-to favourite is probably their Wild Poke Bowl (sub cucumber noodles). It's very refreshing and makes me feel like I deserve all the truffle fries in the world. Truffle fries is definitely something that you MUST get when you come here. It's the perfect crispness for fries and the truffle flavour is perfect. The fries aren't covered in oil like other places that you can get truffle fries either--this is probably the best truffle fries I've had to date. Their wine and craft beer menu is extremely large, and it's all colour coded for all the different types of beers that they have. I would love for them to have flights so that I can try multiple different drinks all at once. It'll take me a while to try everything on their drinks menu. There's 90-minute free parking if you park at the West Side Market and enter through their back door. This makes it convenient to dine here without worrying about parking downtown. read more

The plethora of food options is on point and it's a very lively atmosphere, if that's your thing. Food overall was good. Not great, not bad, but good and semi forgettable. A lot of keto options... I was almost overwhelmed by the amount of times I saw 'keto' as I was scrolling through the computer menu onsite. Truffle fries were pretty good and oddly the sauce served with them tastes like mayo (possibly the base and the person mixing the batch that day just didn't get it right), so worth a second try. Keto deviled eggs - not bad but nowhere near my favorite, but if you like a little kick to your eggs, then worth a try! We arrived on a busy Friday night and were worried that we would need to wait, but we must have hit the timing right. We had a mere 10 minute wait before getting seated on the patio, under heaters. The staff was super- nice and we were able to order and get served at a good pace. We had the grilled cheese sticks with tomato bisque, chopped salad, Japanese curry bowl, a burger, and the Nashville chicken sandwich. This is the second time I've been to Townhall while in the Cleveland area visiting my family. The first time we enjoyed the Sunday Brunch, which was absolutely phenomenal. This time we came back to try the lunch options, and they definitely did not disappoint. We ordered the Sweet Potato Skins as an appetizer. The combination of flavors was absolutely perfect. I believe it usually comes with 3 in an order but the server added a 4th for us so we could all enjoy one. I could have eaten 4 more, they are by far the best potato skin appetizer I've ever had. I enjoyed the Veggie Burger on the Keto Gluten Free Bun as my main course with the side of Truffle Fries. I am no longer vegan but have heard such amazing things about the vegetarian options here that I had to give it a try. It definitely did not disappoint. The burger itself was incredibly flavorful, the bun paired nicely while still accommodating my food restrictions and the truffle fries were absolutely delicious. Oh, and so much is closed in Cleveland on Sundays & Mondays, but Monday is Vegan & Craft Beer night at Townhall!! $3 craft beers that were out of this world. My mom enjoyed her brussel sprouts. My brother had the short straw. His chicken tacos looked decent, but had little to no flavor and were immensely dry. I tried both my lemonade and my mom's. Bitter tasting. Very bitter. Our waitress, Katia, did warn us they would be. But, even with some added sugar, it was still bitter. The service was still attentive and informative. The menu is very clearly marked for many dietary restrictions which I appreciated. Came here today for brunch with my husband. Will definitely be back. I had a cold pressed juice and the chopped kale and organic chicken salad. My husband had the egg sandwich and one of their excellent craft beer options. The craft beer list was deep but easy to navigate. The brunch menu had good variety including a build your own crepe offering with both sweet and savory options. The portions are huge. The food is thoughtful and flavorful with many healthier options. Recently went for Saturday morning brunch. I've been here for lunch/dinner, but their brunch always had too long a wait. Thankfully that was not the case on this visit. Had a nice seat on the patio. Unfortunately, I did not have anyone assigned to my table. I found this out when after 20 minutes of no one coming over, I asked if someone could be sent over. The hostess scrambled a bit, but asked the waitress assigned to the table next to mine, to take me. Everything else was smooth sailing, but that situation is the reason I cannot give a 5 star rating. Loud. Crowded perfectly for Delta Covid in maskless Denioh, this is the hipster pseudo-healthy bar food joint that you find here and in Columbus. It's a study in contrasts: The "purified" water station with the stacks of dirty glasses in the cafe. The "organic" greens that have lots of rotten bits because the kitchen is too busy cranking out stuff to do the proper prep of their salad. The "grass fed" burger didn't spare it from being overcooked. The hot chicken was likewise fried to blackness, and over-sauced to mask the culinary crime. The truffle fries were mercilessly salty. The tomato soup is different. I didn't dislike it, but my tomato soup fan truly hated it. The flatbread was excellent. Probably the best pick of the night. In all, a very pricy politically correct and regretful experience. I care far more about clean than green, and true foods, cooked with quality, care, and passion, than mendaciously mediocre menus for the mooing masses. Last, even if you're vaccinated, do you REALLY want to be packed in as tightly as the seating in the main dining room? We sat in the café because the tables are bigger, and more spread out. On a Saturdays night, be prepared to be tight as the restaurant was rightfully overcrowded, but I can't deny that everyone didn't seem to be having a great time. My husband and I had to go to their cafe side which is a gem to have as you can walk right up to someone and order food to take out or find a small seating area available per someone finishing up. Very casual relaxed vibe. Seating comfortable. Parking easy in west side market lot - which is free if less than 2 hrs. The beer selection changes but menu is color coded by type of beer so easy to make a selection. Tried a mango weissen beer - great light summer beer. White sangria also delicious. The biggest hit on food was the sweet potato skins with pork belly and spicy sauce. Terrific combo. Also tried the Thai peanut bowl, sashimi poke bowl and crispy rice with tuna. The last 2 were sushi specials. The peanut bowl - great peanut sauce over sushi rice with chicken and cucumber. The sashimi poke bowl- 2 pieces salmon sashimi, 3 pieces Tuna sashimi, spicy salmon and minced tuna in addition. Also pickled cucumber, avocado chunks, and seaweed salad over sushi rice. Fish very fresh and clean. Only issue had with bowl was needed more of sauces. The crispy rice with Tuna was 5 perfectly crispy small logs topped with tuna and condiments. We've walked by Townhall many times, and the large crowds always deterred us from dining there. We decided to go for lunch during Saturday brunch hours. It was busy, as expected, however our time there was relaxing and enjoyable. When we arrived, we were greeted with friendly hosts and were told about a 30 min wait. No biggies! We took a walk through West Side Market and received a text that our table was ready only 20 minutes into the wait. We even got a table in their gorgeous backyard patio! We had the sweetest server and wished she could have joined us for lunch! She was knowledgeable and fun. To drink - I got a raspberry lemonade seltzer and my hot date enjoyed a sour. You have to be really into sours to enjoy this one, which is absolutely our style! Very happy we went with our server's recommendations! To eat - it was later in the afternoon so we had our eyes on the "Close Enough to Lunch" section on the menu. I choose the Grilled Cheese (no egg) and tomato bisque. We added avocado (another recommendation from our server!). It was fantastic! I loved the lightly toasted sourdough bread and the tomato soup was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. My date ordered the Grass-Fed Philly Cheesesteak. The queso really set this apart. Ooey, gooey, tasty. This was served with fries -- the coated kind, our fav! My experience: This place is good for classy and casual dining. It was date night for my fiancé and I and one of the first places we went to early in our relationship sometime between 8-6 years. The food was still spot on and surprisingly the interior has been kept up over the years. The service was great and my waitress was patient and an excellent example of superior customer service. I can't remember her name but she's small and petite with reddish orange hair. However, I didn't not enjoy my Bangkok Bazaar bowl. It just wasn't something I enjoyed it seemed mediocre and slightly lacking in flavor although my fiancé enjoyed it so I let him have it and I ordered the pork belly tacos. We stopped in for drinks in the early afternoon on a Wednesday and came back for dinner several hours later after hanging out in the area so a two-part review. For drinks, we just sat at the bar and had decent service. They have a wide variety of beers in an easy-to-read and decipher format complete with color-coding. This part of the experience was four stars. We came back for dinner and were seated and given water right away. The waitress did a great job explaining the menu to us but that's where the quality service story ends. She took our orders. A short time later the orders were brought to us. My wife had asked to sub feta cheese for gorgonzola on her chopped salad. That didn't happen but the waitress didn't come around for 10-15 minutes so there was no point in mentioning it at this point. When she came back finally, I asked for more water for us. Again, it never came and she didn't stop at our table for another 15 minutes. She passed right by a couple times. I tried to politely flag her down but it was like she had blinders on. She finally came back another 15 minutes later and I just asked to pay the bill. My wife's salad was good though she noted there wasn't much cheese to pick off anyhow. I ordered the Grass-Fed Bolognese and it was excellent. The server was amazing and because all of their cocktails are premixed and with syrup, she had mezcalritas custom made with stevia for us! They were great and I am so thankful.
