Just moved to Columbus and decided to try townhall!! Best Vegan food I've ever had, catered to all my allergy needs!!

i've never had a bad meal from this place! i always leave full but never feeling gross, and they have such a fun selection of drinks.

Food is good location is great patio is fun, but the service staff is atrocious. The hosts are incompetent, the bartenders are the absolute worst in the Short North. Orderd a pop smoke asked it to be shaken after the topper was added and eveyrime I get problems because of it. To the point I was basically asked to leave by one of the bar managers because I made a stink that they wouldn't make my Beverage the way I wanted it.. even though, I WAS PAYING FOR IT. The owner has a bad reputation, but is a good guy at heart. It doesn't help his cause that his bar/restaurant has such terrible service. read more

The main courses aren't really my cup of tea but I will say that the sweet potato fries are amazing. The customer service here is unbeatable. The workers are incredibly kind and the management strives to make every customer happy, which is very impressive! read more

Their beer list is amazing (I'm a beer guy so it's nice to see), they have an amazing array of types and really pay attention to seasonal taste. I got the veggie burger and salmon tartare. The salmon tartare is a great crowd pleaser, it is has chunks of sushi grade salmon on top of an avocado spread. This dish really gives you a balanced feel in your mouth. Throughout the city I have been disappointed by the selection of veggie/bean burgers, as they tend to be an after thought on the menu. Townhall has the best veggie burger, which is flavorful and has an extremely wonderful crunchy texture on the outside of the patty that really sets it apart. Our server was great and additional staff came around to see how we were and how everything turned out. Hands down this establishment is a 20/10, the food, attention to detail, and service was off the chart. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Columbus area! read more

The entire staff was drunk, taking shots, stumbling around. I NEVER comment poorly on service but this was an embarrassment. Our bartender was spilling every drink she made and even spilled a drink on us without apology. The Cleveland establishment is such a classy, fun, clean space and this felt trashy and disgusting. I went here on Saturday and it was AMAZING. Our server, Claire was so personable and would make sure she was giving us a great experience despite it being so busy. We got the nachos and they were so fresh and delicious. My husband also had the Thai peanut bowl and it was the perfect balance in a dish. We can't WAIT to come back with our friends!!!! Ordered the smashed avocado with almond crisps... the almond crisps were anything but crispy! (Imagine chewing Styrofoam) Also, service is TERRIBLE! Took 30 minutes for anybody to notice our Chips were not desirable (on top of the shit wine) I'm not a critic but felt so inclined to make a report. Sucks to suck! read more

I never feel obligated to leave a review but today I had the most exceptional experience and service I felt I had to share! The atmosphere is wonderful and they have something for everyone. Came in for brunch (first time visit) and our server Joey was absolutely outstanding. I've been a server myself, and I watched what must've been her entire section get sat at once and she was as cool as a cucumber! Stayed positive, still paid attention to detail, I could tell she was busy but she didn't let it show one bit! She even took the time to bring my dog a treat and some water. I put in for a table of 4 at 6:18 pm and was told an hour to an hour to an hour and a half wait. After 2 hours we check back in, and hear it will be another hour. After almost 4 hours I got a text out table was ready at 9:45 pm. Our waitress apologized due to her being super busy and she said she was the only server on the patio. By this time we had already eaten so we got one round of drinks which came out incorrect. So we decided to just pay and leave as it wasn't worth our time or more money & our waitress was super busy so we waited forever to just get that part taken care of. Then I come to find TownHall posting on social media Krispy Kreme's promotion for a free donut if you bring your vaccine card with this caption on their social media (see attached photo) that says "sugar and flour dipped in fatty acids should not be a way to reward yourself for a vaccine"... LOL. Who are you to tell people how to reward themselves. And have they looked at their own menu?? So many people in today's society have issues with mental health related to food and TownHall seems to be an advocate for that. I work alongside clients with eating disorders and wow this is sad, insulting, insensitive and down right disappointing to see from a business. For several clear reasons, I won't be back. We have never visited Columbus before and were told to check out North Short for great restaurants. Townhall got our attention and had good reviews so we gave it a chance. We had some drinks while waiting for our table but were seated pretty quick. The staff is so friendly and offer to explain the menu choices patiently. The cheeseburger was delicious and my husband enjoyed the wings and fries. read more

My family and friends signed up for a plant workshop at TownHall, first time ever visiting. We had so much fun that we decided to stay and have dinner. Overall this place was good. I would rather give it a 3.5 star rating but that is neither here nor there. I order the cheeseburger and it was really good! Cooked perfectly and very juicy. My fiancé ordered the chicken sandwich and though it was slightly burnt, the chicken was still juicy! She did say that a mayo sauce of some kind would have really wrapped the sandwich together but overall very good food. read more

been here once before and it was not good, came back to give it a second chance because i love their values food/nutrition wise! was unfortunately disappointed with a $12 salad that was 90% greens and lacked any other veggies or toppings, accompanied by a disappointing watery vinaigrette. since the salad only came with about 4 of their "chips", which were all really small, i asked for more thinking they'd be complementary considering they were small chips/crisps, but a small side cup of them ended up being $6, and i had no idea until i went to pay. town hall is definitely a 10/10 on staff and atmosphere, as our waitress was super sweet, but our food took around 50 minutes to come to our table, and the price of the food was astronomical for the low quality of the meal. maybe fun to try once if you're visiting the city and want a high priced meal, but other than that i don't recommend. absolutely love their sister location rebol tho!! amazing restaurant. read more

TownHall is a great place. I love their different food options, healthy coffee & bone broth. This is the only place I eat.

TownHall has amazing drinks, I recommend all of their signature cocktails especially the green goddess that is superb. They have done a great job on all the basics. Some of my favorites are the wings, chicken sandwich, and their huevos rancheros for breakfast. read more

super disappointing. I was visiting town last weekend and was staying at the Moxy above Townhall. We knew it was popular so put our name on the list far before we planned to go. We were told a 2-2.5 hour wait. After 2.5 hours I called again and was told "dude I'm so sorry, you have 22 parties in front of you it'll be at least 1.5 more hours". I called again after 1.5 hours and was told we had one party in front of us. Still hadn't heard an hour later (5 hours total wait time) and decided it wasn't worth it. The worst part is, we went to the lobby of the hotel to peak in the door and saw many open tables. I understand limited seating during covid, but they clearly don't have it together yet. I ordered takeout on a Thursday night. When I got in I was greeted nicely and directed to the takeout counter on the cafe side of the restaurant. It was packed but they had good division between the groups of people with plexiglass and all the people working were wearing masks. I ordered the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and a kids flatbread cheese pizza. Everything was very good and fresh tasting. I will be back to try more things on the menu and will come to hang out here whenever covid slows down. read more

I attended the grand opening and were very impressed. The food is top-notch, both in terms of quality, flavor, and appearance. I love the amazing variety of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. There are also many gluten-free options. The broths are satiating and not high in sodium. We tried the cauliflower lettuce wraps, Southwestern chicken sandwich, and the curry chicken noodle hot bowl. All the food was great. The portions are the right size as well. The staff was courteous and patient. Townhall will be a new short north favorite! read more

Love this restaurant!! I was first introduced to Townhall several years ago in Cleveland and always made sure to stop by when I was in town. I am so excited that they are now in Columbus. I have been twice since they have opened and they did not disappoint either time. The service was great. The food was very delicious and came out to the table at the correct temperature. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very lively and fun. Their keto chicken wings are probably the best chicken wings I've ever had - better than wing stop. My husband and I were excited to give this place a try. Nice atmosphere and the menu looked good. We put our names in and told 30 mins.. after waiting over an hour my husband went to ask the about how much longer and she simply said I have no idea, no one has been moving from their tables.. not her fault, but she seemed very overwhelmed, between answering phones and checking people in.. It was extremely loud inside, the tables were overly crowded, people crammed in everywhere... it was very uncomfortable.. we decided to leave, first impression did not go well. I was overcharged and immediately brought it to the cashiers attention. She said it would be fixed, but it wasn't. I left several messages with the restaurant and they never responded or resolved. Very bad service! Beyond that the food was nothing great. read more
