Please DO NOT BUY from this dealer. I purchased a "certified" used vehicle from this dealer in July of 2012. Driving the car home from the lot, my car started experiencing a battery saver issue and shutting down the AC. I took the car into my local dealer in San Jose 3 days later and was told my car had no warranty and wasn't certified in the GM system. After losing a day with calls between the San Jose dealer and Tracy, Tracy finally agreed to pay for the diagnostic and the system was updated with the warranty information later that week. A few days later I was noticing a popping noise on left and right turns. I asked the San Jose dealer to look into this while making the battery repair. After putting the car up on the rack they found impact damage to the front end and would not make any repairs because this was "pre-existing damage". After numerous calls to GM and Tracy's General Manager they agreed they would do the repair. Tracy claims the damage which was visible in the wheel well was from a blown out tire while San Jose claims it was much more than this. How do you certify a car with that kind of damage? Tracy's general manager stated that "sometimes you have to work out the kinks in cars." Really? I've owned 2 Dodges, 1 Ford and 1 Chrysler and these cars have never been in the shop as much as this one has. I have had this car about six weeks and the car has been in the shop 15 days and is scheduled to go back in next week. Repairs have included: Undercarriage replaced Wheel well replaced Alignment done twice Bearings replaced Crossbars replaced Swaybar replaced The car is only two years old and every possible suspension part has been replaced and the issues have still not been resolved. GM is saying we need to replace the undercarriage once again. GM's customer service has been awful and the rep I have actually accused me of damaging the car. On our first call the rep asked what I was expecting from a certified used car and that "by law they are allowed to sell cars with a certain amount of damage." I said your worry-free certified guarantee would be nice because all I have done is worry about this car. So I've spent $13,000 on a certified car that can't seem to be fixed. I've lost hours away from work and had a tremendous amount of stress from this vehicle. This is absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life and I will never buy another GM product again. read more

So upset with the way I was treated by the service department today. I dropped my brand new cruze off for a complimentary cleaning and checkup, 2 hours later came back to pick it up. A lady with a crappy attitude handed me my keys, but there was no car in sight. I asked her where my car was at, and she pointed to the wall and said over there.....REALLY????....What happened to bringing your car around to the front of the building for you?? Anyway, with my shopping bags, dog food, and dog in hand I searched for my car in a sea of black chevy cruzes, only to recognize mine by beeping the lock button on my key. When I found it, it was dirtier then when I left it. It was covered in water spots and had streak marks all over, it looked as if a blind one armed monkey washed my car today. Sooo thanks chevy service department in Tracy for a terrible experience, a crappy attitude and wasting my time! I'll be going to Winter Chevrolet in Pittsburg for now on, I'd rather dodge bullets than deal with these douches any day! Gotta go wash my car now :( P.S. I purchased a remanufactured transmission for $2,745.38, and installed it on my truck. Truck would not go into gear or even move an inch. I called dealer they said I must have towed to them so they can reprogram the "TCM" transmission control module, so I had it towed there. Dealer called and said it would be another $800.00 approximately, to diagnose and reprogram TCM, so I said yes. Dealer then calls me and said the transmission is bad, and asked where I purchased it. I said I purchased from your dealership. They then called me back and said that I must have caused damage to the transmission when I installed it, so all they would do is sell me another one, plus install for another $4,890.00, on top of the $3,548.38; for a grand total of $8,438.38. I told them absolutely not and I would be filing complaints against them. Come to find out they have several BBB complaints against them, several unanswered, as well as several bad yelp reviews. Everything started off great. My wife went up and looked at a suburban we had found online. We live a little over an hour away so since I was working she went to take a look and take it for a drive. She talked to the salesperson and explained how much we could spend since we were already pre-qualified through my bank. He said that was fine but there was a $2000 difference. He told my wife if I could come in the next day they could send the paper work through to my credit union and if they wouldn't approve the extra 2000 he could just take of it with my trade in. I get up the next morning, take the day off work and drive to tracy. I get there and speak with the same salesperson about the suburban. He informs me that I'm 2000 short. I ask him about what he told my wife and he says no he can't do that now. I asked him why he wasted my time then and cost me a day at work, which he has no answer. He tries to get me to fill out paper work so he can try and get me financed through one of his banks for the extra 2000 to which I reply that I'm happy with my own bank. I finally ask him if I pay another 1000 if he can take of the other 1000. He says no problem then comes back to me wanting me to pay another 750. At this point I've been there for 3 hours and we haven't made any head way so I got in my car and left. My wife called to complain about being lied to and the manager said the salesperson has no authorization to tell her he could take care of the 2000 dollar difference. So, bottom line is I know car dealers have to make money but lieing to get someone to drive an hour and take the day off work and hoping you can work another 2000 out of them is wrong. I've never had a worse experience at a car dealership. If they promise you some thing I suggest getting it in writing! read more

Buying a car can be stressful, if you want to enjoy your experience go to Louie Salas. I enjoyed my experience and didn't feel pressured at all. Yes! It's time to buy a truck.. we have looked at several dealerships within a 50-mile radius of here. We selected the truck 2 weeks ago. As we pulled our finances together we stayed in contact with this dealership to let them know that we wanted to purchase that particular truck period so today's the day full amount check in hand we enter the dealership. We have been sitting here 4 just over an hour now. Nothing has happened other than papers being pushed on top of the table and asked for signatures without explaining why. Our sales rep is rude short-tempered and has no knowledge of the paperwork he is asking us to sign. He has now handed us over to the finance lady whom we have not met yet but we continue to wait and wait and wait and wait. Supposedly at 11:30 this morning or thereabouts a phone call was made to this dealership and ask them to prepare all the paperwork so it could be an easy transaction. Unfortunately no paperwork has been done and here we still sit and wait and wait and wait and wait. We just asked if we could take a ride to get some dinner and if they would text us and let us know when they were ready to continue the process. His response was I have two other customers that need to see the finance lady so if you leave you'll have to get at the end of the line. What kind of customer service is this what to treat your customer with respect and courtesy get the sale done in the customer the keys and send them on their way. Why do they make it stressful. Alishia spoke with management and they assured us that they would be there. I went in to upgrade my 2013 LT Cruze to a 2016 Limited Cruze. Alishia assisted me in finding the car, and not only was it the Limited edition, it also had the RS package. I knew this may be a deal breaker, because I wanted my monthly payment to be under a certain amount. It is now 8, and we have begun negotiating. We all knew this would take time on 1. A trade in that I owed more on, than it was worth and 2. Purchasing the RS package and remaining under my desired monthly payment. Great place for young buyers! Knowing that this would be my first car, my dad took me to this chevy dealership, knowing how reliable of cars they are. After having a van that lasted 16 years from Chevy, my dad knew this would be the perfect place to get me started. Harry was an absolute gem and made car shopping easy and fun, for an 18 year-old girl that prefers to sit at home playing with makeup all day, like me. His honesty was what made my tough cookie of a dad, crack. After getting the perfect numbers, I was through the roof that I would be owning such a luxurious Chevy Malibu LT. I found a vehicle that I wanted to purchase, after several attempts to reach someone. I was finally able to talk to a manager. I was told that the vehicle was in stock, so I made an appt to purchase it the following morning. I arranged for a loan through my bank and drove 2 hours away to the dealership. On the way 2 people from the dealership called to confirm my appt and said that the car was detailed and ready. When I got to the dealership, the salesman had just left!!!!!! Oh, and the car... was sold the night before. But there is another car we can sell you! Un believeable!!!!!! This is the shadiest business that I have ever dealt with!!!!! Tracy Chevrolet is the worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered. The paper taped to the window before purchase, which includes asking price and everything included with the vehicle, did not reflect exactly what the vehicle I purchased had. Some items were missing, things like a hydraulic lift gate, heated seats, bed liner, etc. These items, which I researched, are worth a few thousand dollars, but I paid the asking price that was listed on the window sticker. The staff, which includes three separate individuals that I spoke to at different times, all said that they have no control over what goes on those pieces of paper. They also claimed to have ran into this issue before, but apparently, nothing has been done about it. Also, I purchased some extended care coverage for my newly bought vehicle, and upon trying to call someone at the dealership to receive compensation for the services I paid for, no one had to courtesy to return my calls or point me in the right direction. At the time of purchase, I never received any information as to how to go about using what I paid for. I cancelled those coverages, but only got pro-rated for what I "hadn't used." Tracy Chevrolet is a company that false advertises and fails to give the kind of customer service that deserves loyalty from it's consumers. After my experience, I will never again shop at Tracy Chevrolet and hope that anyone that reads this will highly consider another dealership to purchase a vehicle and spend their hard earned money. read more

I found the truck on line, e-mailed Mike Turner, that I was interested in the truck. I received a return email followed by a call, We talked about the truck, and set up a test drive. When we arrived, the truck was setting out front waiting for us. We went inside asked for Mike, and was pointed to his office. We went out to the truck, he handed me the keys, and off went, the truck was great. worked out the details, and it was a done deal, mike said he wanted to have the truck detailed and have gas put in. I said ok, he then said it would take about 45 minutes. He then gave us a car off the lot, so we could drive to the mail across the street. So we went shopping at the mall, when we returned, our new truck looked great. I have to do a shout out to the finance/paper work lady ( sorry I forget your name) she was a wiz with all the paper work, we were in and out of her office in no time at all, so thanks again. Bought 2013 GMC Sierra truck denali edition today. Looked at trucks first couldnt decide Louie Salas helped us he was very kind honest and overall got a good vibe from him even though the whole time i was cautious after hearing stereotypical sleazy car salesmen stories. So we left unsure what we wanted to get, 5 min later we called louie back asking to see how payment would be on 2 trucks we looked at. I arrived 10 min later looked at the numbers for 2 trucks then test drove them. Mean while another car salesmen had hidden keys to GMC Sierra we purchased to later find out some one else was arriving to see the Sierra truck luckily for us Louie got the Spare key and as we loaded our 2 yr old son in truck seat in back of Sierra the other people arrived to late to look at as we drove off to test drive. We came back and bought it. The whole time Louie was kind respectful never pressuring us and answering every question he was also patient as we told him we where in a rush and needed to be out quickly. We had him running back and fourth with paper work and even went out of his way to find my kids some candy to keep them calm. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had shopping for a vehicle. They dont care about customer service, they are not willing to work with you at all. This place is a joke, they had a used Arcadia, with exterior damage, and over 30,000 miles and would not BUDGE a single penny. All the sales rep we had today, wanted to do was show us the blue book listing price and claimed it was a great deal. We told the sales lady as we were leaving and not interested any longer that we will go across the street to Nissan and look there. She then felt the need to tell us that they won't work with you either. Little did this lady know, we ended up leaving the Nissan Lot with a 2018 brand new pathfinder and couldnt be more pleased with NISSANS customer service and their willingness to work with their customers! This BRAND new Nissan Pathfinder even had bonus perks to the model. We will NEVER do business with this dealer again! We will make sure we spread the word about how poorly we were treated today. I'd be hard pressed to have a worse experience. I first called many Chevrolet dealerships because I am in the market for a new truck and have always liked the look of Silverado. When I called Tracy Chevrolet I was helped by a very informational young lady(Jennifer I believe) who was professional and really stood out from the rest of the dealings I had by phone. As a result, I decided that this would be the place where I could have a good experience. That is where the good feeling ended. I am still early on in my search but I wanted to see and drive the trucks. Upon my arrival, I wandered around the lot for a good 20 minutes unhelped, before a man named Wally? walked up to me. I told him I was just looking today and wouldn't be making a purchase just yet and wanted to get up close and personal with the truck. (He didn't seem to like that) For the rest of the time I (unwisely) spent with him, he made me feel like I was wasting his time. Once I had seen what I came to see, he asked me inside, where I heard him having a conversation with a manager named Zaby, who was audibly having a conversation, obviously about me, where he explained my hesitation, and I overheard, something to the effect of, "stop wasting your time with this guy and get yourself a REAL customer." The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't even wait for Wally to return. I left and I won't return. So, unless you have no questions, or uncertainty, and just want to walk in with a bag of cash to buy the first thing they want to show you, I'd pass on this place if I were you. read more

Our experience at this dealership was unexpectantly extremely pleasant. Most salesmen are pushy and relentless but Harry, our salesman, was genuinely helpful and patient. He stayed late to answer all of our questions and wasn't pushy when we told him we had to sleep on it. My husband had to have a black truck and I had to have leather and the dealership didn't have this exact truck. Looking for a 2016 Camaro that was actually available for sale and not just on a transport truck, we had called Tracy Chevrolet and spoke with Fernando who assured us that one was on the lot. Looking around on our own first, we spied one in the detail shop that had not yet been prepped. Ernesto was so helpful and let us look and fawn over the vehicle. Having decided that we wanted to buy, we saw Fernando in the Sales Office. He was a very busy guy, but managed to let us feel that he was working toward helping us with the sale. He drew up a deal and worked with us to make it satisfactory for both parties. He made us feel that he was on our side and was working for our benefit. Very approachable, low-key and friendly. I will never give Tracy Chevy a dollar of my business. I went in to look at a new car and and look into pricing on the car i was interested in. I dealt with Harry, who was a nice enough guy and polite. We talked about the car i was interested in, drove the vehicle and came back and went over pricing, than proceeded to look into financing it. As it was later in the evening they were having troubles getting thru to the lending company's, i said its fine i already have my own financing thru a credit union i belong to, i stated that i would come back the fallowing day with the information from them on the details and if i was satisfied with APR and payments that i would buy the car. NOW, come the fallowing day Harry calls my cell phone first at 10AM and leaves a voice mail, again at 11:30AM and again at 6PM. I was able to answer my phone at the 6PM call and told him that i was unable to make it to the credit union as i had something come up at home and i would get a hold of him the fallowing day once off work. At this point i was slightly annoyed at the fact he called numerous times, but hes a salesmen and its job to bug people, i get that. Come the fallowing day he calls in the morning at the same time as before, leaves a voice mail to call back, come lunch time i go outside and who calls, mr. salesmen, now im getting mad because he will not leave me alone, i answer the phone and he presides to tell me that they can run the finance paperwork thru the dealership, i said no please dont, i will handle it at my credit union after work. I get off work at 3:30 and see that i have yet ANOTHER voice mail from Harry that he "went ahead and put it thru anyways" and that ive been approved and need to come in to finalize everything. Now im pissed. I went to the credit union to find out, he in fact did put the loan thru, luckily it did not damage my credit score. At this point they have lost my business due to this ass hole. Long story short him and others at the dealership continue to call me multiple times a day, after i already told them i would never buy a car from them, i finally after 3 days of calls had to block all the numbers. I instead went to American Chevrolet in Modesto and had a great experience there ended up buying a car from them. I hope nobody goes to Tracy Chevrolet and gives them any kind of contact information because they will relentlessly call and harass you. read more

I previously had my vehicle serviced by Dublin GMC 4 times all my interaction with Dublin GMC was extremely disappointing to say the least. Prior to coming here, I called about the availability on a car and they told me they still had it and about 3 people were already interested so I should come in ASAP. So, I drove 30 minutes from home just to go see the car, when I arrived nobody approached me to help so I was looking by myself like crazy for the car all around the lot and could not find it. I went inside the building and once again nobody came up to me so I had to find someone to help me, I asked the gentleman about the car and he says he would return to see where it is located, mind you I've been at the dealership for about 30 minutes already no idea where the car is located. The gentleman went off somewhere and while waiting one of the sales associates finally approached me and asked if I been helped and told him what I was looking for, he also did not know the location of it either and while searching for it turns out it was sold in the morning when I called before going to the dealership about the status of it and was told 3 people were already interested. Not satisfied at all about the customer service here, I feel like they should be more on top of the status of the carsnthey have on lot. read more

Purchased car March 2013 from Lee in special financing. Due to BK, interest was very high. To ensure payment would be temporary, I asked several questions. Lee told me if I made payments on time for atleast 7 months I could come back and buy the new car I really wanted. In addition, Lee said they would buy back car I purchased. Today I called to speak with Lee & make appt to buy new car. Wael, manager, informed me Lee was no longer with company. After explaining conversations between Lee & I, Wael stated I needed to fill out loan application, might possibly have to pay payoff difference after he appraises value of car & I would need large down payment. I told Wael I was lied to & mislead by one of his employees. Wael then stated, "well that's the way of the business. You know people say things to make a sale". His comment said it all. He wasn't helpful, concerned or apologetic. I informed Wael I would file a complaint with BBB, he said, "call them". I am pleased to let you know that we were VERY satisfied with our experience purchasing a used F250 Truck on 9/28/2014. Initially, I had called the dealership after finding an F250 on Cars.com that was being advertised for sale and it looked like it met our criteria. I called Tracy Chevrolet and spoke with Louie Salas, Sales Rep. Louie was very kind and informative over the phone. In our conversation, I made it clear that we were very interested in the truck, as it was a low-miler and that is hard to come by. I told him we would not be able to come see it for nearly a week, and if it sold... it sold. He called on the following Friday to let me know that it was sold, but failed in financing. Yay for us! I appreciated Louie following thru and told him we would be down Sunday to take a look at it. Upon our arrival, we ran across one very nice person who said they would call for Louie for us. We were pretty convinced we wanted to purchase it already so we looked over it one more time & took it for a test drive with Louie. Done deal. All that was left was the price & financing to discuss. We sat in the showroom and discussed our trade in value & their price. We found a mutually satisfying price and off to finance we went. Everyone we dealt with that was very nice. Again, in financing, we found a favorable rate & the purchase was finalized. Stacy, the Finance Director, was very approachable and a joy to work with. We are very happy with our purchase and left the dealership with our new to us, F250. We could not be more pleased. The following day, I took the truck for a thorough inspection by our mechanic. There are a few items that we were not told about. There was evidence of a recent front end alignment, and yes, the truck runs true (no wobbles). Secondly (and a bit disturbing), there is evidence of "orange peeling" in the paint on the driver's side doors and rear fender. Additionally, there was paint "overspray" on one of the tires, which is what made us look further in the first place. It is clear that the truck was in an accident, and we do not know how severe, but repairs were made. We do not find fault with the dealership on this, but we do find FAULT WITH CARFAX.COM, as they had no record of any repair work having been performed. Clearly the previous owner did not report the damage, and the shop that made the repairs didn't report it either. We also noted damage to the trucks undercarriage. The air bag suspension kit works with existing leaf or coil suspension systems to provide a safe, stable and comfortable air ride. Sadly, the driver's side air bag assembly has been damaged to the point that it has rocked out of position and the stabilizer bolts have been bent beyond repair. We will be fixing this soon, seen as how we purchased the truck to tow our trailers. Unless you have a trained eye, it is possible this may have been overlooked by the dealership, but seen as how we are buying an 'as-is' vehicle, I suppose we shouldn't complain much. It's just sad that other dealers or the previous customer was not truthful. A note for dealership car detailers (this applies to all dealers, and not necessarily this dealership): When inspecting & cleaning up a used vehicle, there are several places that always seem to get missed when cleaning a vehicle. As we found on our truck, there was a huge amount of clay/sand that had collected (dried & caked-up) on the bottom of the step rails. It was evidence that the truck, had indeed, been off-road. There was also caked mud in the crevices under the frame. (We had the car on a hoist so everything was visible). Overall, the staff at Tracy Chevrolet was amazing and we are looking forward to many years of happy on & off-road driving. We would highly recommend them to others. My husband and I purchased a 2012 GMC and dealt with Louie Salas. Most of the time when you go to a dealership to purchase a vehicle it is exhausting and very time consuming. I was really surprised that our experience was without much time involved and the big hassle of the price of the vehicle. Louie was very cordial and very helpful. Usually when you buy a vehicle and leave the dealership you regret the whole incident but this time the event was not as painful. Not saying that the dealership is perfect but once in a awhile I guess you are in the right place at the right time.
