Went in for eyebrows and lip wax, but took a chance and got a mani and pedi too. Since it was last minute I was hesitant, but they executed well and took their time. I did mention I didn't want the hot stone massage but I think she forgot and the stones weren't too hot so it was okay. I told them I am attending a wedding soon and provided an inspiration photo. My manicure was time intensive (press ons with dip powder) and I think Ana did a great job. I asked for a darker/bronzer looking gold but maybe I had to remind them again because it still ended up with plain gold. Overall, pleased with how they were able to see me last minute. Made an appointment on Friday evening since I was in town for the weekend. When I arrived, it was a packed house. Everyone was getting ready for the weekend, I suppose. The store does temperature checks at the door and requires a sign-in verifying customers have not had COVID19 symptoms in the last several days. I asked for a manicure and pedicure but the store also offers waxing services. For my shellac manicure ($25), it was relatively standard in terms of nail and cuticle attention, polish, and hand massage. The gal who worked on my manicure was super sweet and fast. Now, for my pedicure -- Vanna was my girl and she hooked it up. I did choose the middle option pedicure on the services menu (Special Pedicure for $48) but it was worth the price all around. The 'Special Pedicure' consisted of your standard pedicure fixings + sugar and salt scrub + mud mask + callous heal treatment + paraffin hot wax + hot stone massage. I felt so relaxed and so pampered. Not to forget to mention, Vanna did a fantastic job at the massage -- perfect pressure and she hit all the pressure points around the ankle and foot. Would definitely return to see her specifically the next time I'm in town. Overall, I was very happy with my manicure and pedicure. This spot was okay!! You know I saw a lot of happy customers getting their brows waxed, and nails done. My sister in law liked it. She used to do her brows here. That's why a whopping +2 stars, on the behalf of everyone else. But, overall my personal experience wasn't amazing! I came in and asked for SnS dip nails. That's colored powder, and it's suppose to healthier for your nails compared to gel polish or acrylics. Less damaging to your own nails, and etc. I always get dip nails in LA. I was in Sacramento, and popped after seeing the 4 star rating. I asked for Dip nails and This is what all went down- 1) tech asking me to relax cause I was stiff. I told her I have a health condition. And then she says she has other customers who are more stiff. She seemed to be nice. 2) I asked her to be gentle and she was very gentle, but when she was shaping my nails she was a bit rough. When I let her know, she slowed down. But, started ranting about me to her coworkers in her language. I might not understand, but people can sense energy and vibes. *Getting nails done should be relaxing, not stressful. 3) the SNS DIP PROCESS WAS WRONG. I joked with them that they DIP DIFF AND another tech almost seemed offended. This place does-white powder dip, and then gel nail polish over, with gel clear polish, and UV light!! THE GEL POLISH WAS RUSHED AND IS MESSED UP ON BOTH HANDs! (Gel and SNS don't mix) why?! 4) I overtipped for 2/5 looking nails !! Honestly I shouldn't have. I asked for baby pink almost natural looking color. And I got bubblegum pink. . Is the joke on me?! 5) my sister in law loved her nails. Although she got clear tips and her French white was painted on. But she liked it. So overall, they have a diff process. Which honestly is fine. Do your own thang. I went in for pedicure. The employee came to my help right away. She started working on my feet and was talking with her colleague and their voice was really loud since they were about 20 feet apart. The tech started filing the dead skin off my foot and still talking with her colleague, she reached the dead skin in the side of my big toe and instead of concentrating on her work she was looking at he friend. The tough filing came on my soft skin and cut me really deep causing bleeding and a lot of pain. She apologised and continued her work on my toe. of course the work was not up to a good standard and my pain continued. For two nights I could not sleep well from the pain. I received horrible service today. I was a walk in for a pedicure. I was told the wait would be 15 min, no problem I'm a walk in I get it. The girl who did my toes was rushing because she had an appointment coming. She didn't even ask me what type of pedicure I wanted. Just decided for me that I wanted basic. I came in with black regular nail polish she left black all over my toes kept telling me that was gel. I did not have gel on and the last time i did have gel it was clear. After she rushed through the pedicure she proceeds to polish my toes. I asked for french im watching her try to free hand the tip. i say nothing because some people can do this no problem. Not her it was very messy. So i said i dont like it its messy. She immediately calls another girl to come and finish for me. Cool im not offended just get it right. Been coming to this establishment since before they renovated and expanded many years ago! I have been seeing Kim for my eyebrows since I was 18. They have 3 staff members who wax and all have been amazing! Lily works wonders! For my nails I go to Jessica and she never disappoints! I'd say the salon is a pretty big size compared to many nail salons I've been to. I want to say they offer about 6-7 pedicure chairs, and about 8 manicurist stations. There is an area specifically for waxing as well. They also offer lash service. It cost $8 for eyebrows, which is only a $1 increase since I've been going there since I was 18 (I'm 33) and that is still more than reasonable! I believe lip is $5. I went recently and paid $15 to have my eyebrows, chin, and lip done, super cheap IMO. In case anyone is curious, I've paid $90 to have a deluxe pedicure (paraffin wax, stone massage) with gel, and almond shaped full set with gel polish. The wait to have nails done is usually pretty quick, but for brows it can be quite some time. Friday and Saturday mornings seem to be like prime time for waxing so just a heads up! The one thing I love most about this establishment is the customer service and rapport they build with their customers. Always friendly and seem to remember everyone. I moved away from California for 2 years and waited some time before I went in to see them again and they were all so happy to see me and we picked up where we left off. Every time I go in they hand me over to someone who literally does not know how to do nails?! And It just sucks, because you spend so much money on them not only that I tip the person for their hard work. The entire time she was working on my nails her hands were shaking, She wasn't placing the acrylic correctly on my nails as well and when she drew my flowers they looked extremely terrible. She burned me a couple times with her nail drill as well. If I show a nail tech a picture and ask nicely "hey are you able to do this for me?" don't sit there and lie to me and say "yeah yeah I can do it" just to make a couple more dollars?! Thats a waste of my time and money, not only that at the end of the day I have to go home and look at the trash on my hands. I literally had to go to another salon and get my nails fixed because they just looked absolutely terrible. So guess what, I spent money to get my nails done that week TWICE. Have not had my lashes done in a while... Almost a year. I was waiting for my regular lash tech Anna to return. I took my chances and now I have Hanna... And she did a wonderful job on my lashes and bushy brows. Natural and light cat eye like I like it! I am happy with my results. My individuals lasted a month without a touch up. Kim is quite frankly one of most unsanitary technician i've ever come across, didn't see any licensing so you have to be careful in these places, they might have people working under the table. I've worked in this industry for a long time now and she is everything you don't want at a nail salon. It saddens me that my people gets a bad rep for "chop shops" it's because of fast technicians like Kim who gives people something to talk about. Let's hope we didn't leave this place with an infection this time. All in all count this place out and find another place in Sacramento to give your business to. BEST EYEBROW WAX IN SACRAMENTO/ELK GROVE! Lily and Kim are eye brow fairies...I am convinced. I have been coming here off and on since high school. From time to time I would try other places because I hate driving to Elk Grove. After a few terrible experiences, I have vowed to go nowhere else. Anyways, I just love Lily and Kim. (There is another girl but I am too scared to try her). I swear it barely hurts when they wax my eye brows. From what I can tell, they wax little sections instead of big ones so it hurts less. They are so sweet as well...always giving me compliments. OMG and the prices are super cheap. $7.00 for a eye brow wax. Make sure you bring cash they don't take credit cards. My only complaint is that the place is not as clean as I would like. (minus one star) They actually remolded the place and it looks way better than the old place. However, it could still use a clean up. Seeing as I am a clean freak and I still come here that should say a lot about how good they are. First off, I want to say I have done my nails many many times. I had acrylic nails, overlay, dipped powered service and and different salons. Never ever had I experienced the top clear gel coat peeling. This was my first time getting "dipped nails" at this location. I noticed the powder was just acrylic powered (not the fancy dip powder nail techs actually use). So I don't know if that was the reason the top gel won't stay on my nails. Then again, when getting an acrylic set at this place, the gel has stayed on. Perhaps it was because the nail tech wanted to finish me off and get a take on new client but I was charged a lot for this "dip set" with my natural nails. My thumb peeled 1 hour after my service. I went here looking for experienced nail technician, and that's what I got. All their employees were very much experienced, and welcoming when I walked in. The services I received were a little pricey, but since it was my first visit I understood. I got a full set with gel and a design on my ring finger, my eyebrows waxed and my boyfriend got a pedicure. And we ran up about 100$ in there. I've driven by this place many times over the last 2 years, wish I had gone here sooner! My friend usually does my nails but when she's unavailable I have to go elsewhere. I've been to many nail salons and I know it can be difficult sometimes to communicate with the employees. Although I can usually communicate with the nail technicians because they tend to speak my native language, it's definitely a plus for others who can't speak Vietnamese. Anyhow, they have A LOT of nail polish colors to choose from and the store is clean. Tammy was the one that did my pedicure and she was fantastic. She gave a nice leg and foot massage and she painted the color on perfectly. The best part was the pedicure itself was only $18 and for a hot stone massage was an additional $5, so the total was only $23. Definitely a great buy for the awesome service. This place is a little hidden in the plaza; it's towards the end, in a small corner almost. As we arrived, we were prompted to pick the colors we wanted. They did have a variety of colors but not the best selection, in my opinion. I was just getting a regular manicure/pedicure ($30: $12 for mani and $18 for pedi). I chose my colors and was seated immediately. I was impressed with how quick they did my nails, but it was also a quality job. I didn't like how throughout my pedicure, my nail specialist tried to talk me up into different add-ons to my regular pedicure. Every few minutes, it was one thing after another. I understand she's trying to make money but I just kept respectfully saying no. The price is super fair (for Elk Grove), the service was quick, and I love how my nails turned out! I wasn't impressed. So, I'll start off by saying that I've never been here prior to today. They took me as a walk in but there's a note that says "tip on cash only." I asked about this because I didn't have any cash. The lady, Jennifer, I believe, said don't worry about it but thank you for asking. Jennifer was not the one that did my pedicure- Anna did. It was the quickest, half-a$$ed pedicure, I've ever had. It wasn't even an hour. I left with my heels still a bit rough and she told me that I could do it at home. Wait, what? I asked her what am I paying for then? She got upset and started raising her voice, so, I did, too. The paraffin wax was put on and almost immediately taken off. She told me that she could only take off one layer which makes no sense because I paid for the callus remover. Now, if the water was hotter and my feet were soaked like normal, it wouldn't be a problem. Maybe she was in a hurry but don't take someone if you're in a hurry! She got an attitude and got loud with me a couple times. After I finished, I went to pay, then it dawned on me that she was all rude, probably cut my pedicure all short because she knew I didn't have any cash and she wasn't going to get a tip. Despite her UNPROFESSIONALISM, I went out of my way to tip her because no matter how begrudgingly she did it- she provided a service and I always tip. I ended up sending her tip via Apple pay and I think that she was surprised because she was treating me like sh!*. All of a sudden, she was "nice" to me. I will never return here and it's right down the street from my house. All Anna had to do was be nice but she was pissy and it was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I have given this place two chances and now I'm done. They have been good in the past but my last two visits have been terrible. I'm talking about the eyebrow waxing. First Strike: I had been waiting for a half hour for the lady to finish with eyebrows which is meaning she took about 15 mins per person. It's finally my turn and she takes 5 mins on my eyebrows.... I left looked in the mirror and I still had to pluck my eyebrows and I had to shape and cut them. Strike one!
