Excellent, like all Trader Joe's. This is the place to get the kinds of things you would get at Whole Foods... for much less coin. This particular store has a very friendly and helpful (and even quirky in a good way) staff, with consistently good free samples (including beer/wine on many days). Plenty of free parking. It's the store I go to the most because of location. If you drive back and forth on I-66, this store is located in a way that you can exit off the highway at one exit and fairly quickly get back on the highway at the next exit; doesn't matter if heading east or west. This is also a bit more spacious than some other Trader Joe's in the area, with plenty of room for carts and rarely anything more than a short wait at checkout. read more

The reasons that my love for Trader Joe's is so strong are many, one of my favorite things about the store is that their frozen aisle is filled with exciting unique dishes that I could not find in others. I personally am in love with their fish nuggets and their Indian platters that make dinner a breezy. Also the price is always really cheap for the quality and quantity that you get. I've gone to Trader Joe's a couple of times for one or two items in the past, but this weekend I went grocery shopping for myself. While the store was an overall overwhelming experience with a lot of foot traffic and rude customers, I can say I was impressed with the store itself. I don't really understand how most of the aisles are organized but I can see how someone can actually enjoy it after going to the same one frequently. I was also satisfied with the check out experience. They did a great job bagging my groceries and since it was my first time grocery shopping there I was given one of their reusable bags for free. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend and I will be going back for myself very soon. read more

They have some great food items here. You can make great meals for two each night mixing and matching some of the frozen entrees, particularly. I'm loving Trader Joe's more and more. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The only problem is the aggressiveness of some of the customers. Time and again middle-aged female yuppies barrel down the aisles as if their life depends on getting out of the store before anyone else. I swear, the shoppers here can be wild. read more

I like this location better than the fairfax store because it seems less crowded during the times I shop there. Also, there is more parking. They always have stuff that you don't see in places like Giant, and the prices and quality are far better than Giant or Safeway or Harris Teeter. I only wish they would open a couple more stores so they would possibly be less crowded when trying to shop there! Makes shopping stressful! read more

Love Trader Joe's! $ is much more reasonable than Whole Foods for similar items. Nuts, organic juice. My daughter loves the Seaweed snacks, very reasonably priced and my son loves the organic white grape juice. I love the chocolate covered cherries and the friendly staff. This is one of the cheapest and best places to buy kosher meat in NOVA. We have conservative friends who keep glatt kosher and buying meat to have them over for dinner used to be such a chore. Not with TJs. Also a great selection of fruits and veggies, and best of all, frozen prepared dishes that actually taste good! As if I cooked them from scratch. Hands down this is my favorite place to shop - this location in particular. Friendly staff, open, welcoming store environment, lots of parking. read more

I never used to shop at Trader Joe's like I do today. Now, I have to tell myself to not linger in the store, go and get the items on my shopping list and LEAVE! That never works, I always find myself searching every aisle on something else our kitchen needs. I like this Trader Joe's as opposed to the others that I've been to because its never crowded and I'm always able to find great parking. The people that work at this Trader Joe's are always super friendly and very light hearted even on those days that you're rushing home from work and have to grab something because you forgot it was YOUR night to cook. I like the fact that this place is always stocked with the fresh food and promoting local produce (I support the locals)! There's always something new and although you may think TJ's has more "expensive" prices -- it really doesn't. Their prices are quite competitive and if you're really freaking out over a 50 cent difference or even $1 that you might be spending -- just spend it. TJ's is worth the drive, you'll get your groceries and leave (unless you wander like me), and its what a grocery shopping experience should be. read more

I love this store. The staff is always very helpful and polite, and the wait for registers is usually pretty quick (they're very quick to open extra registers when busy). The assortment of food they have is excellent and produce is usually better than most other grocers. And I love their wine selection - only thing I'd ask them to do is add more craft beers! read more

The Trader Joe's on the east coast are a lot smaller than the ones on the west coast, but they have many of the same things. Conveniently located near the Post Office, so you can buy stuff and mail them to your friends who don't have a Trader Joe's near them. Win-win! read more

I buy way too much here. It's been two decades of me frequenting this grocery store in Cville and FFX, discovering good food doesn't have to be expensive. Think of it as a mini Wegmans with better prices and kicking good staff. Not that Wegmans doesn't have some super employees, but I always receive great assistance and have intriguing conversations with TJ mates. Did I mention the wine samples? I know many of you frequent here for two buck chuck but try the wine they feature because it's usually better. Sorry to squash your budget but is adding a few bucks on to the price really going to break your bank? They will give you some selections that fellow friends will demand you give up your supply source. What's more fulfilling than that? Not to mention you can pick up that triple cream cheese they offer and pair it with their bruschetta toast points and a little spicy jam on top to knock off their socks. Bam! Instant app for a get together with min effort. While I dig the vast assortment of salads and the fresh beets, (yeah I am one of those chicks) I also stalk the frozen food aisle for new delights. Like mashed potatoes! I never ate these until now and I may have a new food addiction. Seriously? Yeah, a pot of those prepared with heavy cream and butter on a cold rainy night might be my new cure for weather blues. Now if I share every thing I buy here, you might be concerned and while I love that you care, I just can't do it right now. Um...Doesn't Trader Joes deserve a 5 star review just for being Trader Joes? But even then, this location has the most friendly and helpful staff. One time I asked a staff member when they get coconut oil since they're always out, and he asked around other staff several times until he could give me the exact days and time when they get them. He even gave me suggestions to come at a certain time since they're pretty much gone by noon. I did exactly what he said and was able to stock up on my precious coconut oil. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's! I am a regular here and shop here about once a week. The staff/crew is always super helpful, polite and kind. If one of the crew members happens to see you wandering around looking for something, they always stop and ask if they can help you find whatever it is you are looking for. They are not the kind to pretend not to see you, or point in a random direction...they walk you right over to what it is you need. Not only have I shopped at this Trader Joe's, but I have also reached out to the donation coordinator, Daniel, when planning a fundraiser for a nonprofit organization. Daniel was extremely helpful in arranging Trader Joe's donation of bottle water for fundraiser attendees. When I came to pick up the water Daniel and Terrance (another crew member) were kind enough to offer to carry the 8 cases of water to my car! Overall I always receive excellent customer service from this store's crew members.I will definitely continue to shop here and encourage you to also. read more

The staff seemed friendly enough but one of them started to talk about politics and I just don't like talking about that. I usually only visit this location to buy some sunflower seeds and olive oil but they do have some decent pre-made food and frozen food. read more

The employees are extremely friendly and helpful at this store. It is right down the street from my house so I frequent them very often. I love that you can sample something new every day, plus they have beer and wine tastings on weekends. If you ever get a product you don't like, you can easily return it. No questions asked!! I am so fortunate to live close by a Trader Joes. They are the closest grocery store you can get to the quality of a whole foods, but not nearly as expensive. I am always so pleasantly surprised to see how low my total is when checking out. They have an amazing bread selection for great prices. They also make the best tasting almond and coconut milk that I've tasted. They also have an awesome trail mix with almonds, cashews, and dark chocolate as well as dark chocolate almond cookies. I like a lot of their frozen foods like pizza, fruit, and meat and seafood. Their flavored sparkling water is as good as soda just without any of the sugar or calories! They always have coffee and a bite to sample which makes your shopping experience that much better. Thank you Trader Joes! I give a 4 out of 5 stars because the quality of their produce isn't the best. Fruits and vegetables need to be super fresh and tasty for them to be worth eating. read more

Friendly staff yes.... But there's a limit. I don't need to stand there with a gallon of milk in my hand for ten minutes while some nefarious hippie spends ten minutes talking with some soccer mom long since her bag is packed. Keep it moving ! I think it's rude and it happens every time and I almost walk out everytime. So are they trained to talk to much? there is a fine line between small talk and pissing off the whole line in some passive aggressive mode. I am repulsed by the shopping experience. Stop ringing those damn cowbells in my ear also. Super rude! stop wearing jimmy buffet floral shirts. It's almost like a secret cult of strange semi miscreant almost hipster but too dumb type of post rehab occupational program they have there. The employees are odd, the aisles are way too small. The parking lot sucks. There is always an issue in the lot. Stop trying to be whole foods- not even close. read more

Five Plus Stars All The Way!!! I Love this store. I've been going there since they opened in Centreville, VA. I am so happy they are close to where I live. I use to have to drive about ten miles to get to the store in Fairfax. Ugh! This store always has the best, freshest products out there. Occasionally, they run out of my Ezekiel bread, but get it in quickly.. They have most all the things the regular groceries do not have. I do recommend that they have more of the Rice Pasta and different types. Their prices are pretty good too. Also, the staff is TOP Notch! They are friendly, helpful and always anxious to help their customers; they have actually dropped what they were doing to go in the back to find somethings for me.. I do NOT find that to be the case in most grocery stores with the exception of Costco, I love them too.. In my opinion, this is how a store, any store should treat their customers. I recommend this store to anyone and everyone.....Try them, I believe you will be happy to shop here. read more
