Great bartender! We sat at the bar and were quickly served. The tomato jalapeño soup was delicious! Very hearty.

Bottom Line: Comforting American fare, a full bar and a casual atmosphere. My husband and I visited Trailhead Public House & Eatery after a day of exploring and hiking. We were fortunate that we were able to get seated right away in the upstairs dining room. Having had a late afternoon snack my husband and I decided to split an order of wings and a burger. The wings were very good - some of the best I've had. They had a nice crunch, good seasoning and the meat was super tender. The wings come in various rubs/sauces and we had the dry southwest garlic rub. Yum. Did I mention I liked the wings? The burger was also good but not as memorable as the wings. Service was friendly and attentive and I liked that everyone seemed to be hustling. Overall, a very nice experience. read more

This place is very well reviewed and has an incredible looking menu. Our meal fell pretty short. We are a family of 6 and ordered an solid variety. Shortfalls: Zero seasoning on the fries. While the flavor of the wagu beef was good, 3/4 burgers were overcooked. The chili verde was meh. Not slow stewed pork like chili verde should have. Pros: Perfectly seasoned egg on top of the chili verde fries. Excellent burger buns. Well cooked kids quesadilla. The brushetta on the burger was great. The hot ham adlnd swiss was pretty good start to finish. They really are so close to having a great place vs just good. Honestly thoigh, not good enough for us to go back and spend over $130 on dinner. The waitress did mention they altered short staffed so let's go with that. read more

Very good food. Party of 5, three kids. I had the JP Grilled cheese with Jalapeño tomato soup. It was so yummy- fresh jalapeños, bacon, chive cream cheese and cheddar cheese. My daughter had the vegetarian mushroom melt with garlic mayo and she loved it! The boys had kids meals, hot dog and fish and chips- they ate everything. My husband had the whiskey blue cheese burger. Overall the place was very nice, we sat upstairs and had a great server. read more

I stopped in cause I smelled the place as I was walking by. It was a great experience. Got seated right away, and got served quickly. Had a fantastic Wagi beef "Polygamy" burger. Hey, when in Itah! We both ordered the Hometown burger and I added cheese on mine. The burgers came out super quick and were juicy and flavorful! The patties were well-seasoned and the fries were also on point. Good side salad. Award winning Reuben? It was gross. Several dried up strips of corn beef. Filler was pickles and some white sauce. Barely any sauerkraut. So many better restaurants. How this place is voted best in Moab is a mystery to me. Did an order to-go. The burger (ordered medium well) was still moo-ing (beyond raw) in some parts and pink elsewhere. It had a funky taste and they didn't include the BBQ sauce that was supposed to be on it. The bun tasted store bought (i.e. flavorless). I've had better (and far cheaper) burgers at fast food places. It was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The pretzels were likely frozen from Costco, no taste. If you do eat in, it has a long wait for tables in the evening rush (not sure why, do better) and the waiting area is tiny. The good: Order was ready on time. The bad: Everything else. read more

Delicious! Our server was Jason, he was amazing! So attentive and kind. We were starving after hiking all day, we had cheese curds, wings, both good! Loved the sauces that came with the curds. We went to this place somewhat late in the evening, not too long before they were set to close. They were still fairly busy. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was friendly as well. I loved the cozy pub feel of the place, it reminded me of one of my favorite spots back home. My husband and I each had a draft beer, which were nice and cold. We split a club sandwich which was huge and very tasty. My son got their appetizer wings and loved them. We would definitely return! read more

Service was outstanding. Never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. The food was tasty too, I just had one of their hot dog specials and my son had a grilled cheese, so it was hard to mess up. If you get dessert and the ice cream truck next door, you get 10% off. Instead of crayons for kids, they have cool wax sticks for them to be creative with, which my son loved. read more

Nice atmosphere and good food. We all had a burger. They were good. Overpriced for what it was but you're also in Moab, so that's expected. A little on the small side and they will only cook to medium rare but good flavor. We got wings- they were okay (IMO). My son and husband liked them. I got the spicy (or southwest) fries. They were really good. My husband got the We'd go back but maybe would try some other spots first. I'd definitely go if you want a burger and fries. read more

Felt a little spendy to come out feeling like we got more bun/topping than paddy. We initially tried to call in a carry out order after getting into Moab from a day of travel, but after repeated attempts no one answered. Not a big deal in a town where most things are less than a mile from you. We headed down and ordered in person for carry out. Service was pleasant, fast, and all around good. Tab was just north of $70 after tip for two apps and two burgers. The green Chile poutine was the best item for sure with the cheese curds in second. Sadly the main attraction which was the Hot Trails Burger and the Hometown Burger were both pretty disappointing. There was far too much bun and not nearly enough patty. My wife's Hot Trails burger had no sauce of any sort on it. Literally dry ingredients stacked on a dry undersized patty. If the primary complaint on a burger is the patty, then it seriously needs attention. We did see some people eating what looked to be pretty epically generous sandwiches and are sad we didn't go that direction. The restaurant was well decorated, clean, and nice all around. read more

This was a nice stop in the late afternoon after hiking all day at Arches so to be honest I don't know if the food was awesome or if we were starving. Nevertheless, 3.5* (rounded to 4) because there actually were a couple vegan options and I really appreciated that. I got a mushroom sandwich but there weren't a ton of mushrooms on it- to me that should be the bulk of it. The fries were burnt and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I think I'd give this place another shot but maybe order something different. This one didn't do it for me. read more

After a long day of hiking, we were in need of some nourishment and a burger was the way to go. There was a wait but it went by quickly and we were seated and greeted soon after. The menu is full of yummy American eats and we were surprised to see green chile poutine on the menu....random....in Utah...but hey why not? We ordered that as an appetizer and it was huge but unfortunately needed some salt and pepper to make it semi memorable. I had a burger....it's a week later and I can't tell you what kind it was but I enjoyed it along with the huge salad. All in all, solid place for a small or big group when in Moab! read more
