Just got our delivery. Unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. The green curry was a rather odd neon food color green and didn't taste at all like green curry (see pic). The upside was how small the portion was. There was literally one piece of eggplant. The beef satay was over cooked, flavorless and hard to chew. The pad see ew had no flavor and dry. The pad Thai didn't do any better. The tofu was super dry. Beef has an upcharge. So sad. Never ordering from here again. Used to love this place but haven't had it in awhile. Interesting name because you do feel like you are in a House here and it is on the second level so the name is fitting. I hate how I have to give this place three stars. For everything good they do, they also do something bad. I've had Thai everywhere in LA. I am a Thai fanatic and I can tell you that you can not go wrong here. The food is good. Very good. However, the service is difficult. They don't really understand you well and you have to help them understand which gets annoying. The presentation is nice, but the portions are small, except for the pad Thai, which is standard. I had green curry, Tom kha soup and pad Thai. This is my trifecta and all were good. Tastes fresh and rich in flavor. However as I mentioned above, service, stinginess and their unwillingness to take responsibility brings them down to a three star restaurant at best. They placed a bowl of rice behind the big pot of soup and I didn't see it. I slightly pushed the pot away to bring the other dishes forward and the bowl of rice fell on the floor. They saw I had a curry, and the rice was on the floor and they didn't even ask if I wanted another one and I had to call them back and ask for one and they had the audacity to charge me. Not that the money is much, but the fact they did this put a really bad taste in my mouth. If they are cheap on rice which is practically free, imaging what's going on in the the kitchen.. read more

Located on the 2nd floor of a small strip mall on Venice Blvd. near Culver City, TreeHouse Thai is a great spot for food! The atmosphere is spacious and the food is very well done. I went with my friend and we split the chicken sate as a starter, then split and order of chicken fried rice and an order of yellow curry with a small side of white rice. Chicken Sate - 6 pieces, pretty good! We probably should have asked for more peanut sauce. The cucumber salad that comes with it was yum too. Fried Rice - honestly, this was the star of the meal, haha. I shouldn't have initially questioned my friend when he was going to order the fried rice as his whole meal because to me it's a side dish but I was wrong!! The plate is huge and the fried rice is tasty. Would definitely order again!! Yellow Curry - delicious, a lot of it. We had some extra leftover too! Plenty of chicken, carrots, onions, and potatoes in the mix. I would definitely get this from here again. White Rice - a good amount in the side. Glad I got it to go with the curry. Sticky rice is best with curry! You can dine in or order from a delivery app. They are on those too! Happy eating! read more

I love that they have a full vegan menu. I have tried many items, and have yet to be disappointed with what they offer. Lets started from the food, poor, tasteless and cheap. Restaurant is not clean, too old. To complete, the service cant be worst, unpolite servers, slow, took about 20 mins to refill my water. With so many thai restaurants in culver city, you shouldnt come here. read more

I've been going here for years & never gave this place a review but omg! They're pad Thai is incredible, Pork ribs are to die for & you can't go without trying their Thai tea! Tom Yum Noodle Soup + Chicken Pad Thai. Enough said! Lol This place is the best Thai food around that is consistently good. They are priced reasonably and have a great happy hour. Whenever I crave vegan Thai food on the west side, I come here and have for years. I particularly love their spicy fried rice (pictured), drunken noodle, mixed vegetables, broccoli dish, vegan spring rolls, and Thai iced tea. They have a dedicated vegan menu, it rarely disappoints, and the staff are nice. read more

Before you read, please note that this is a review for delivery. I've ordered from TreeHouse Thai twice now and both times weren't that great. The food comes in small portions, and the rice is very hard. This second time I actually found blue strings? hairs? in my rice...which was really unpleasant. The food comes quickly and I've never had an issue with getting what I ordered, but the quality of the food is questionable. The tom yum soup is $10-11 and really small, when I've gotten larger soups for the same price from higher quality Thai restaurants. My (hard) sticky rice came wrapped in plastic wrap, which is also interesting as I've never received it that way. I've given them two chances on two separate occasions and was disappointed both times with my order. Won't be ordering from here again. read more

This is a place I come to pretty often and they are consistently tasty. They do a great red curry and their spice level is tastefully done, in that they'll bring the heat but not sacrifice the flavor. They have a solid lunch special that comes with either a soup or salad and all the staff are super attentive and friendly. All in all a great and comfy Thai spot. read more

Solid Thai food for a decent price. If you want your food to be traditionally spicy you should ask as it's not spicy like I expected. The Pad Thai & Green Curry always good. I'm basing this review entirely off the pad Thai and happy hour price on beer. The pad Thai was good flavorful and wet rather than dry just how I like it. Once an LA'er, I now live in Hawaii. I came to LA for a visit and wanting Thai food but without having to go to Thai town, my mom suggested TreeHouse. Off Venice, it is unassuming and I definitely would have passed this place as it is located on the 2nd flr. We came around lunchtime and it was not super busy foe a Monday. There is Thai decor everywhere and within 30min, the restaurant was fairly busy. I always get pad kee mao, but they don't call it that. It's called mint noodle or something to that effect. I ordered it with tofu (lunch special) and with a side of sticky rice. I always by habit get the rice because I usually order curry too. I didn't this time so have no idea why I ordered the rice. Oh well. The plate was decent size and flavorful. My kid had the orange chicken. I will say, it didn't look like Panda's. She honestly didn't like it. I told her to stick with Thai food at a Thai restaurant. My mom also had the pad kee mao but regular plate. Prices were decent, service was great. read more

My friend and I went to this place to eat because we were craving Thai food. We got about five plates . when we were looking at the menu all of the prices were about $15 per plate. When we ended up getting our check it was almost $100 we were wondering why it was so expensive and we checked and saw that all of the plates were around $19. We were disappointed on how they false advertised the prices. And the food was not that good. The pad Thai noodles had a weird rotten egg taste and a lot of the food was bland. The only good thing here was the Thai tea. Never gonna eat here again. read more

We had eaten previously at Natalee Thai which is across the street. I spotted TreeHouse and decided to give it a try sometime. We were on our way to the airport to pick up someone on a Monday night. It's up a flight of stairs in a strip mall. The interior atmosphere was pleasant but nothing memorable. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our Waitress was pleasant and the service was quick, which we needed. We enjoyed the seafood noodle soup. However, the pad see yew flat noodles were nothing special, and the Thai iced tea was oversweetened. All in all, the experience was OK, but nothing to go out of your way for. read more

Street or private lot parking. NOTE: Street parking is only valid for 1 hour The restaurant is up on the 2nd floor -- I didn't ask, but I wonder if it was a deciding factor in coming up with the name of the restaurant? :D Lunch Special was pretty legit. I ordered the pad see ewe which came with either vegetable soup or salad, and an egg roll. If you were to order curry for example, it also came with rice (your choice of either jasmine, brown or egg fried)... but any noodle dish it did not come with rice. I wasn't sure how the portion was going to be but it was a pretty perfect size and everything tasted great! The vegetable soup had carrots, bamboo, lemongrass, and cabbage in a clear broth. The egg roll came with a sweet n' sour (I think) dipping sauce. The waitress was super nice and kept her cool with our walk-in party of TWENTY! It was difficult at first because we under-calculated how many of us could fit with the tables that were already set up, but we were able to add on one more table creating an L shape :] Lunch specials occur between the hours of 11am-4pm. My dish was $7.95 (great price for everything it came with). There are also combo specials (11am-10pm) which are a few dollars more served with wonton soup, an egg roll, thai tea or soda and your choice of rice. The floor plan seemed spread out (but that's most likely because of all of the tables we had grouped together). There seemed to be bar seating and a TV that played sports. I really liked the gold mandala wooden looking wall screen they had in the back. I think most of our groups food came out in a decent time. Mine came out last... and I didn't have enough time to enjoy the entire thing, but that's okay! I brought most of my pad see ewe back with me to work. I would come back here and I heard that they deliver! read more

Went for a lunch on one work weekday. They have lunch specials and those are cheap for around 7$. With it, You'll be having a complete meal already with salad, rice and egg roll. The taste is ok but nothing extraordinary, though probably I'm just expecting a little something from them, since their store looks better than original Thai. Also, compared to the competition, yes it's cheaper, but their portions are really small. The competition's 1-2$ more but the serving is so big, that I guess it's good for 2 already. The staffs are attentive but not as friendly as the competition's. There's free WiFi. read more

I tried their fried tofu and I like that they drained the oil. The sauce is slightly tangy with peanuts. The thai ice tea is delicious and they made everything as I asked. The lady that helped me was nice and my order was ready when I got there. There is a small parking lot in front and it looks like there may be more parking in back. read more

So, I took an hour to chill, calm down, and edit this. Not much to tweak; I meant every word. Service is horrible. They do not tell the truth. They didn't know how to handle a Grubhub order for an item they didn't have so they cancelled our whole order. Then they didn't fill the second order we were told to re-order. I will never order from them again. They changed their name, remodeled and became a poor excuse for a restaurant. Sorry but it is true Here is the play by play. At 7:02pm, I ordered via grubhub. 7:10, the restaurant called to say they were out of mango stick rice. No problem. We'll just take that item out and we're fine. Order is due by 7:30. At 7:20pm I get an email from grubhub saying order cancelled. I immediately call grubhub. No reason for cancellation noted. They call the restaurant. 8 minutes later I'm told the restaurant canceled my order by mistake when trying to remove the sticky rice. I re-order by 7:49. Order due by 8:35. At 8:30 I status check. Tree House is very close. Grubhub says they never filled my re-order. I call tree house at 8:51. They say order was cancelled. I try to explain. They never apologize, they just blame grubhub. At 9:00, I'm done. 2 hours later and no food. Final word: They changed, I don't like how they changed. This is LA Thai restaurants are a fine a dozen. Moving on. read more

ABSOLUTELY love this place. The service is super friendly and the food comes out fast all the time. My favorite thing to get is most definitely the COMBO special for $9.95. It comes with a choice of entree which is from what I can tell, full sized as well as wonton soup, egg roll, and choice of thai tea/thai coffee/soda. My favorites are the spicy eggplant with beef, pad thai, red curry, and black pepper chicken. They also have a really fried fried potato wonton. Its surprisingly delicious. I don't know how this place doesn't have 5 stars! (Review based on to go order) I was at work CRAVING Thai food and found this place on Yelp. The reviews were positive and the pictures looked good. I ordered through the app and my food was ready in 15 minutes flat. I got the Pad See Ewe combo spicy with beef and Thai tea. BEST THAI TEA EVER! It was sweet but not overly sweet and once the ice melted it was perfection. The noodles were at a level of spicy that was tasty and tolerable and the noodles came with a small side of dumpling soup (special surprise I was not expecting). It also came with a mini egg roll as well and a side of spicy garlic sauce. Overall a 5 star experience! I can't wait to return and maybe sit down next time. This has earned its spot as my go to Thai spot for lunch! read more

My boyfriend and I were out last night looking for a new place to try. He had had some Thai place down the street (not sure the name) but they were closing soon we believe so we drove back to Treehouse and I'm glad we did. It was about 9 pm and we liked that it was upstairs. There was probably only two Other groups so we felt that it was nice that it had a "lowkey" feeling to it. We ordered the orange chicken , chow mein with beef, and the bbq combo (ribs, shrimp, rice and chicken). The food was delicious and the vibe inside the restaurant was so relaxing. Definitely recommend this place read more

Tasty food. Great hospitable service. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Thankfully I found parking in the lot. I had the lunch special which they serve this everyday at 11am. Check out their menu online. My lunch special was the chicken satay with fried rice, a soup to start (you have a choice of soup or salad) and it came with an egg roll and an orange. I had tea with it which was $2. My bill was $10.90. I'll definitely be back. read more

Was kind of surprised that the rating for this place was not higher. Definitely one of the better Thai restaurants around the area! The location of this place is a little interesting, maybe just because it's on the second floor. The parking lot for the strip mall that it's a part of is not very big, both in spot number and size. The interior of the restaurant is wide open and has plenty of table and booth seating. Was not many people in the place when I went, so I'm not sure what it's like here if/when it's crowded. The service was great! Fast and friendly! The menu was fairly extensive, and definitely reasonably priced. The food was surprisingly delicious! Not that I was expecting bad, just maybe wasn't expecting this good. Really liked their green curry and pad woon sen! Portions were generous for the price. Will definitely have to come back to try some of their other dishes! Overall, pleasant surprise to find this place! Definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

They really make great noodle dishes and one of those is a must try. All of their rice, be it fried rice or white rice is great. The prices are fair. You will enjoy this place very much.

On Sunday, August 2rd, I came here again for a family lunch with my mom, my mom's friend who was visiting from Korea, and everyone else. We ordered Tom Yum Shrimp Soup, Pad Thai, Beef Pad See Ew, California Curry (Yellow Curry), Heavenly Combo (Fried Rice), White Rice, and Coconut Juice. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, and another thing I like is that parking is free. I think I will definitely come back here whenever I crave Thai food in the future. After the meal, they gave us complimentary fortune cookies and almond cookies. My fortune cookie had a really positive message inside, which made me feel even happier. The almond cookie was also delicious. It wasn't overly sweet, and I really enjoyed the flavor and texture.

To make matters worse, I found a fruit fly floating in my soup. After spending nearly $30 on the meal, I was surprised that no discount or accommodation was offered. I've enjoyed coming here in the past, but this experience left me questioning whether I'll be returning.

This is the one of the worse location no recommend order here as food service for them, they treat delivery working ppl from Uber eat like their worker as bad ppl talk like no respect even we talk nicely walk in store ask them and show them pick up info on the phone app and aslo confirmed pick up on the app in front of them (2workers) to help them for their deliveries service and it's my first time visit there to confirmed pick up food and ready to go out for delivery to outside customers from Uber eat app order , they make Uber eat delivery ppl look like all bad as not hard working ppl, restaurant working staff tell us that u have to confirm pick up and which we did I front of their eyes , and next thing they they did to us have strong attack about u have to confirm driving on the way already to customer which we haven't even pick up the food yet in store ( I told them my car is behind ur parking lot need to walk to my car before the gps start and make us very embarrassed in front of the store with other customers in the store eatting ( I told them I need to make sure I pick up (double confirm with store already pick and walk out, and we confirm on gpa once getting car so we can start gps navigation , we shouldn't start ahead gps before get in our car engine running on gps navigation next move, they say it's your problem like they dont care it's our problem and embarrassing us that moment for no reason feel like threat at that moment, I understand at this point they might have bad experience from Other deliveries someone took the food and cancel did not do the job right but not us I am five star on the Uber eats and driving app, so I already report Uber and DoorDash and other service about their Behavior is wrong at the last step them say to me as threat, we work for the platform not for store u didn't pay us customer order u make the food and we pick up for them and customer did pay restaurant and our food delivery service us! First i'm gonna say ignore every single negative comment you see about this place because it is simply not true. This is my FAVORITE place in LA!!!!! The servers are so sweet and friendly- i've never had to wait more than 30 seconds to get service. Their Thai tea is so delicious I always have to stop myself from getting another. My boyfriend and I have tried multiple menu items and each one comes out so hot and phenomenal. They have a whole combo section where you get a main dish with soup, an egg roll, rice (unless you get a noodle dish), and a drink....literally for $12-14....INSANE!!!! They could charge double the price because the food quality and taste is amazing. They also have an excellent happy hour at realistic times!!!! I will never stop coming here as long as I live in LA. I recently visited for lunch with my friend, and it was an amazing experience. I got a combo for a very reasonable price, which came with a dumpling soup, and everything was just fantastic. The orange chicken was out of this world - crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fried rice was also top-notch, and the soup that came with the combo was so delicious, I've been craving it ever since. I also had a Thai iced tea, which was sweet and refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. The portion sizes were really generous - I had plenty to eat, and even took home some leftovers. The place was fairly empty when I went for an early lunch, but the staff was super attentive and kind, making sure we were well taken care of. I'm giving this place and extra star for their nice service. Based on the food I would give it only two stars. I have been to Thailand more than ten times, I'm no expert but this ain't real Thai. I don't expect Thai food to be super authentic here in culver city but this wasn't even close. I Ordered glass noodle soup and spicy fried rice. Many Thai restaurants assume that Americans like sweet food based on the fact that we are addicted to sugar. The more sugar they put in the food, the more we like it. But that isn't how it's suppose to taste. The glass noodle soup was really sweet. The spicy fried rice was bland and sweet at the same time. This place is the best thai food I have had in a while. It had the best use of spice and the most flavor in dishes in a long time. We were a group of three, on a Sunday night, close to closing time. We had a delightful meal. The décor is nice and pleasant. The service was efficient. I had the Tom yum noodles that were well-spiced, flavourful and yum. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. The wife had the Panang curry which was good - better than most. Our friend had the spicy eggplant with chicken which was liked by all. It was, on the whole, a simple, spicy, flavourful meal! This is such a great spot--hole in the wall Thai with some seriously good flavors. It's on a busy corner/set of corners with a small parking lot. They obviously specialize in takeout, as there are giveaways with each takeout order over a certain dollar amount. I had panang curry with vegetables, and was so delicious. It wasn't too spicy (even though it had a fire sign next to it, it wasn't) but had a great flavor. I added a bit more spice to it to make it pop/clear the nasal passages. They have a $10 minimum on cards and it's pretty cheap, so bring cash. read more

Had the tofu pad thai and the beef pad see ew tonight (yes both... was hungry) and I thought this place is better than average! The interior is clean/nice/relaxing and the staff friendly and fast. I only had a couple of their plates but want to assume everything else may be good as well. We went on a Sunday night and the place was decently packed. Lots of techies in the house! I love coming here with my roommates or ordering take out. The food is delicious!! You can't go wrong ordering their Pad Thai -- they give you a LOT of it (yay for leftovers!). Price is perfect and totally affordable for college students like myself. The service is wonderful -- the restaurant is that large so they are able to get around to everyone and refill drinks and just making sure you're enjoying your meal. I always get my Thai food either from Tree house thai. Food alwaulys good! Environment - this restaurant has a very large eating area. Service - the service was really good. The servers were really nice and attentive; I didn't have to wait long to order nor did I have to wait long for my food to arrive. They always smiled and kindly greeted everyone. read more

The pad thai and spicy eggplant are awesome!! We've gotten our food delivered (fast delivery) and take-out, both times the staff was very friendly. I've only tried the pad thai and eggplant but it's better than the fifty other thai places in the area and I'm excited to try their other dishes. Last thing delivery guy very nice!! read more

I am a customer for a very long time. I like many of their dishes, specially all the fish plates. I moved a little out of the area, but I still order from there true delivery. If you are eating there, just get ready to wait a little for your food because they take the time to cook it freshly, which I don't mind at all. read more

Tree House Thai is always our go to place after church. It is always not crowded and usually empty. My family and I love going there and we always order the Crab Fried Rice as a must. The Thai Iced Tea is really good, and the place is so authentic. read more
