What I got was 2 pieces of shrimp, a few pieces of really really dry chicken, a few sad veggies and a BUNCH OF NOODLES. None of it tasted good or fresh. I have been to this restaurant multiple times and the last time was the best ! They're usually really crowded so it does seem like they're in a rush at times and tend to forget what you've asked for, but they're open during quarantine and it's completely empty. You can just go pick up your food and it seems like they take their time on it. Their Thai tea is soooo good ! Their food is really good as well. This is my go to for delivery. Almost every dish I've had has been great. The highlights are the golden wings (which are the stuffed and fried chicken wings that only a handful of LA spots make) and the fried spicy catfish, both are 5/5. The pad Thai is 4/5 which I recommend getting with the pork. For some reason when I get the eggplant for lunch it's more flavorful than the full portion at dinner so that gets 3/5 with beef for dinner 4/5 with shrimp for lunch. read more

Horrible service Saturday evening around 7pm. Asked for lemon slices for my water and busser said he didn't think they had any. He then brought over the most putrid lime slices. I showed the waiter and asked for a few fresh lime slices. He said that's all they had, and it looked fine to him!! I showed him the back of the lime and how yellow brown it was- and no lime was coming out!! I asked for new line slices, and he said "if you want a lemonade, just order a lemonade"! I said that's not what I want- I would like a few lime slices with my water. He returned with more putrid lime slices. Should have left but we had already ordered an appetizer. As we wait we notice how dirty and sticky the water plastic cups were. I'm still fuming over the limes, so we decided to just get the appetizer to go. When we got the meal, it literally smelled like the chicken was raw and everything else was soaking in oil. I knew better than to eat the chicken but my friend ate one tiny chicken skewer. She got diarrhea the next day! We saved a skewer and will contact health authorities. Never again! It really sucks because we used to go there often. read more

Treehouse Thai is one of 3 Thai restaurants located on a lucky intersection along Venice Blvd. I've been to both Natalee Thai and Thai Original BBQ across the street and they are usually packed with customers. Treehouse on the other hand is pretty empty, so I wanted to try it as a no-wait option. I finally tried it this past weekend for takeout and, sadly, think the food is much better at the other neighboring restaurants. We ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and the rice was much too moist with the rice soggy and clumped together. We also got the vegan pad see ew noodles which were better but the fried tofu (prepackaged not freshly made in house) was very dry and chewy. Both dishes had a ton of MSG, too. At least the pad had tons of veggies, not just one or two types, which is why I give this review a 3rd star. It's also cool that they have a separate vegan menu, where there are no eggs, meat or fish sauce in the dishes. I was hoping to have another Thai option in the area without the wait, but I will likely stick to Natalee even though it can be an hour just to get takeout. read more

TreeHouse Thai is a SOLID Thai spot within walking distance of our pad in Culver City. Staff is always friendly and courtious and they have some BOMB lunch specials (tons of food for a very reasonable price!). My go to is the orange chicken - crunchy, orangy, perfect! I also really enjoy their panang curry. Currently they offer the Yelp cashback deal (when using your linked creditcard) which is another bonus. Solid for the price and amount they give. My bf usually gets the pad thai he rarely deviates from his norm. their chicken string beans which was tasty, a bit on the saltier side but mixing it with the brown rice was fine... their chicken was also twice grilled, leaving me to think they probably cooked it once before and then again when i ordered it.. thai is a pretty common staple in my bf's meal rotation, with many options available on Venice and around my place, a good indication of a thai restaurant is if we would go there again. Went here last night with my mom. We got the pad see ewe and the Kung poa beef combos. The service was quick and friendly. The pad see ewe with the soft tofu was fresh and delicious. There were about 6 pieces of tofu. The tofu serving was prob half of a block. Noodles were cooked thoroughly and had a nice chew. The pad see ewe's sauce was well balanced. I tried a little of my mom's Kung poa beef. The pieces I took were pretty dry and there wasn't really a sauce you could see. I've tried beef dishes at other Thai restaurants and they all taste and feel the same. I'll probably stick to the soft tofu wherever I go. I'm happy treehouse Thai is back open for dine in. I'm giving this place 2 stars, and to be honest, that's probably one star too high. I ordered from this place because a game I play had a special of 75% off orders here this weekend. Then I checked on Yelp and saw it had four star rating. How anyone could give this more than two stars, boggles my mind, and they obviously know nothing about authentic Thai food. I honestly can make curry way better than that at home. Next we get to Chinese broccoli with pork. This dish is almost always served with crispy pork, and it's one of my favorites. This attempt had regular flat pork and the dish was completely tasteless. We also ordered the barbecue pork wonton soup, which again was completely tasteless. The pahd see eu was probably the worst I ever had, and I had to add sweet soy sauce and sriracha to even eat it. The last dish was the crying tiger beef. Today I decided to try this restaurant because I'd been meaning to for some time. I was unaware that they close from 3-4pm for lunch and since I arrived around 3:45 I figured I'd just wait outside because I didn't mind. After 10 minutes I decided to see if the door was open since it was a few minutes till 4. Once I went inside I saw one man sitting across the room with his back turned. Since there was still maybe 2 or 3 minutes to spare, I stood at the entrance looking over the menu as I was planning to dine in. I saw 2 other men come and go from the back, they just looked at me and did not speak nor acknowledge me and they walked past me a couple of times. I thought this was rude but figured maybe they weren't the ones who took orders so I continued to look at the menu. A few minutes after 4:00 I said "excuse me" to get the other man's attention who was sitting across the room. He looked at me for a while before he responded. He asked a question that I didn't understand but I don't think he spoke much English. He then went to the back and I thought he was going to get someone to come seat me or take my order. I waited for about another 5 minutes and no one came out. It was as though my business was not wanted so I left. No customer service whatsoever and they literally have a sign that says "please wait to be seated".
