Visited this store to see floor models of truck bed covers and get quotes. Narrowed it down to two types and received quote on both. "Out the door price" for the item I like most was 1500. Went home to research product reviews for each and discovered the out the door price for the cover I liked most was actually less than store quote with no sale noted. So I called trick trucks to verify and the store manager said the manufacturer must have a sale and changed the quote to the one noted on line. I saved 144. Brought truck in day of appointment 5 minutes early. The installer started 20 minutes past hour while I waited in the shop. The garage they brought the truck in to work on was empty when I arrived and the installer was behind the desk researching something on the computer. Installation was fine with no issues. Customer service could be improved. Worth verifying price on line which provides product and installation price for authorized installers. read more

Delayed posting... I came here a couple of years ago to have an exhaust system installed on my Jeep Wrangler (TJ), I had ordered it from the manufacturer but due to some health issues was not able to install it myself. They understood my predicament and did the full installation at an excellent price. They under promised and over delivered in how well the system was pieced together. I have had window tinting installed on my VW last year, again, great results. This year I needed two bars bent for a project I was working on at The House, they took care of my request free of charge as they recognized they have done other work for me. Dannie and Shane are a mess. Told me I needed a 2" level in the front to even out the truck. Truck was then squatting 2". They then charge me $200+ to put a 2" block in the back. Turns out they STACKED a 2" and a 1" block -- big no no. They stole my rims and tires when I had them put replacements on. They wired my cap so that the brake lights didn't work and the turn signal bulb was blown. DO NOT TAKE YOUE VEHICLE THERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

My son and I stopped by a couple days ago for the first time on our way to Rausch Creek to see if they could help me break a bolt on my sway bar links free that another mechanic had cross-threaded. I also checked w/them on installing the new ones I had w/me while I was there. They told me they had another customer w/an appointment, but that if he didn't show up they'd take a look at doing install for me. They said worst case they'd break the bolt free for me so I could disconnect when we went offroad. Thankfully the guy w/the appt. didn't show, so they had me pull my Jeep around. After some pretty significant effort, they broke the bolt free for me, and threw on the new quick disconnects for me (all of 15-20 minutes). I went inside to square up the bill and they just waved me off because it took so little time. These guys went out of their way to help us out, despite never having seen us in their store before. You can bet I'll be back to these guys when I'm ready to buy everything else going on the Jeep. read more

I have been here numerous times. I had custom shelving installed in my ford transit that came out fantastic. I took my 1999 f250 diesel for new shocks. Had a hiccup, since my truck has a lift on it they ordered the wrong size shocks for the front. I called and explained that the travel of the front shocks had been reduced way to much. Keep in mind I drove on these shocks for 2 days while the new shocks were in shipping. Drove to the shop expecting to at least pay some type of labor charge. Nope,,,nothing, shocks were swapped and the only thing they wanted to know was if I was happy. Today I took my mustang in for a cat back borla exhaust. When I picked it up the mechanics there were more happy than I was to hear it. Bottom line if you want any type of customization done come here. All the people here are down to earth and they love their jobs. That's who I want working on my vehicles. read more

Took my 2010 Ford F-150 to Trick Trucks in Edgewater, MD. They installed 3" body lift, custom wheels, 33" tires, and alignment with new equipment. Sales person (Chris) was knowledgeable and on point with suggestions. Prices were in line with my expectations. Install went smooth and was completed on time. Let me begin by saying that this is going to be a comprehensive review, so if someone is actually willing to take the time to read what's being said (in its entirety), you will walk away informed. To put it mildly, it is fair to say I put these gentleman through the ringer. We worked together on build sheets for a 2017 F-350, 450 and Raptor. It was a lot to ask of these guys (especially cause they didn't know me from a hole-in-the-wall initially); running all the specs, numbers, and scheduling - but they remained consummate gentlemen throughout the entire process. To make things even more complicated, I must have changed my mind literally 10 to 15 times, but their professionalism remained intact and unwavering. Sure, there were times they wanted to politely push me off a cliff (who wouldn't?), but you never would have known it. It was always "Yes, Sir, we will get it done." Trust me when I say that I can be a challenging customer, so when I say that they "earned my business," I could not mean it more sincerely. Ultimately, the decision was made to pursue the 2017 Raptor project. If anyone in the area has seen a very monstrous looking all-black Raptor driving the streets, these are the lads behind "The Beast" (that's actually her name). We did just about everything one can currently do to the new Raptors to include: wheels, tires, leveling kit, intake, two (2) different exhausts, Scorcher tune, insane KC lights, additional lighting, Fab Four Fender/Headache Rack/Bumper (and likely items I am neglecting to remember). Throughout the process, I can say without reservation that the boys became close friends. Of course, there were bumps in the road, tweaks that needed to be made, but as I was once told "custom work comes with custom problems." If you are in the automotive world, it's an undeniable truth and should be expected. That said, what was most miraculous is that we stuck by each other until we had finished the most incredible vehicle build I've done to-date. Never once did they turn their back on me or make me feel bothersome or annoying. When you are spending thousands upon thousands of dollars, truth is, you can somewhat pick and choose who receives your money. Trusting in the boys of Trick Trucks Edgewater will always go down as the absolute best choice I could have made, and I have never (not for one second) regretted it. So, whether you are going in hardcore for a build or simply want/need to make minor modifications, do yourself a favor and call these gentlemen. Their knowledge, kindness, skill, humility, decency and talent will leave you completely satisfied. I hope this review has helped. Oh, and please know I wasn't paid or asked to write this. I had some front brakes put on less than 10 months ago on my truck and less than 15,000 miles. They have completely failed, the employee now tells me that the 1 year warranty isn't applicable and I'm basically going to have to replace everything. This is all after a mis-diagnosis problem after I had came in previously with issues due to softness with my brakes and I was told the new Kevlar brakes were "probably" the issue. They replaced the pads and a week later the rear brake cylinders exploded. Funny how that worked out. I went back and they charged me another 500 bucks to fix the rears when the fronts were the entire problem. This is flat out negligent and criminal. Funny thing is my Dad had told me not to go there after his issues with his brand new F150, He had it lowered 2 inches because of his knees. And every time he drover over 50mph the truck would shake so bad it felt like it was falling apart. It took over 8 visits to get the harmonic shaking under control. But it was never fixed completely by them. My Dad eventually said to Hell with the amateurs and ended up bringing to it another mechanic that has a "Hole in the Wall" shop in Deale and soon as he looked at it he knew what the problem was. My dad drove out and hour later and never had problems since. Stay clear of this place, its like going to Ruth's Chris steakhouse for beef jerky. read more

Customer service is terrible. No social or selling skills. As a distributor for Weather Guard Tool boxes, I stopped by to look and ask some questions about the product. Salesman had no time for me as a new customer had walked in. I left, and despite having done business with them since 1990, I will look elsewhere. read more

We moved to Edgewater from Oklahoma, and had to remove car tint to pass Maryland inspection. We went to this place as it was local and close, but they were booked up and sent us to Insane Car Audio, who did a great job in removing the tint. After car was inspected, we took the car to Trick Trucks to put back legal tint - mistake. AFTER they had begun the tint work, they advised they would be charging an extra $80 because Insane Car Audio did such a lousy job in removing the glue. This was totally bogus claim, windows were totally clean, but since they had already started, it was too late for me to stop them. Felt like a scam, especially since I was an out-of-stater, and would caution anyone doing business with them to be aware and lock in price before any work done, especially if you are not from the area. The tint job was fine, but I wish I had taken it back to Insane to have tint reapplied, and cannot recommend this company to anyone because of their deceptive practices. read more
