My experience with Trident Motorsports was amazing from start to finish. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly answered all my questions. Once I received my estimate and everything I did not feel any pressure to use them they even continued to answer questions. Once my appointment was set and the vehicle was dropped off everything went smooth. Trident asked to keep my vehicle for an extra day to make sure they got everything taken care of which was fine as I want a shop to take it's time working on my vehicle. Upon picking up my vehicle not only did it look amazing it was sparkling clean which I appreciated because we had just taken it on a trip and it definitely wasn't the cleanest going into their shop. Update: After taking my Yukon back to trident for a 500 mile inspection they discovered a cv boot was torn causing grease to sling out. If you want a 50/50 chance of your custom wheels being delivered in good order than by all means do business with Trident Motorsports. I ordered two sets of Forgiato's. One set was just fine the other was a complete nightmare. This purchase has still not gone through and it's been several months. My wheels were installed on the second vehicle and the floating center caps which are one of the major components of the forgiatos would not stay in place. They kept coming off while driving. So now I'm driving my 10k+ wheels with no center caps. I took my car back and Trident sent the wheels back to Forgiatos and say they were fixed and the center caps would no longer come off but when they arrived they were dented and scratched all over on each wheel. After months of waiting they call me and say bring your car so we can install the wheels and then they are all beat up. The owner Greg will not refund my money. I don't want to deal with this process anymore as it's been since December and I still do not have my product as promised. I have reached my attorney and contacted my bank so they can reverse the charge. If you want a solid company that will treat you right when things go wrong no matter what. Don't buy from Trident Motors. All this has cost me tons of time wasted and over 10k that I don't have and wheels I don't have. Don't buy. read more

I am changing my review, originally Trident staff was helpful and even went above and beyond, however something has changed. They come across as rude, disinterested and arrogant. I went in a few months ago and inquired about a part, the front staff informed me, they didn't do business with that vendor, but to order the part and they would install it, she said" it's not a problem since we've worked on you Bronco before" Know, they will not only not install what I ordered, but had the audacity to lie to my face and say that's not their policy and they would not offer that. I have witnesses to the conversation, who can corroborate her statement. The customer service has definitely gone south, they are busy, and that more than likely why you judged when you come through the door. Overall felt uncomfortable and unwanted, and no effort was made to keep a customer. They don't care because they are busy now, however with the attitude and effort they put toward, that will change. I did notice a gentleman of a different color was there as well, and his experience was way different than mine, not sure why, but he was white. Rude and arrogant was the words that came to mind as I left. I will not return, there are too many other shops in the area too bad, I originally like them. read more

Shit happens. So many things can go wrong when you get suspension work done, and a lot of them went wrong in my case. But at every step, Trident worked to make things right. The quote was wrong and it jumped in price while I wasn't looking, we had supply chain issues (not Trident's fault!), the wrong parts were ordered, wrong parts were received, my truck was damaged during installation, and my speakers shorted out when they repaired that damage. My caveat here is that I'd have been much less happy if I'd given them a brand new $60K truck and it'd gotten this damaged. But my truck has seen some miles, it has some wear and tear, and Adam & Chelsea worked with me at each step to correct the many things that went wrong. My experience with Trident was beyond rough, to say the least. But I'm a believer in customer service and standing by your work to make things right. And in that, Trident nailed it. It took a few tries to get the work right, but I got a 3" BDS suspension lift, a set of Fuel wheels and tires, they both repaired anything damaged and also fixed a bad tint job on my windows plus threw in a light bar to make up for my troubles. 1000 miles after that experience, the work is solid and I'm happy with the results. My advice to new customers would be: give yourself plenty of time (at present, they seem pretty slammed with work), carefully review your quote, and double check everything. They say they're going through some pandemic growing pains. It's tough for a lot of folks right now. Be prepared because you might hit some bumps. Trident was very communicative at each step though. The fact that all communication is digital makes it easy to follow a paper trail of who said what, what each step was, and we had clarity around everything that happened. That goes a long way and is pretty rare in my experience (especially with mechanical shops!). For clarity, my experience was epic in how terribly it went. This could have easily been a one star review. And if this had happened at many other shops, I'd be SUPREMELY furious and probably be raging at this stupid review right now as my only recourse. But Trident managed to turn it around and make it right. And for that, I would totally recommend them, DESPITE how poorly it went. If all merchants stood by their work like this, we wouldn't need sites like Yelp. Thanks, Trident. read more

After thoroughly researching truck lift shops in the Austin area, I decided on Trident Motorsports - and I'm glad I did. The Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Coilovers with DSM reservoirs are pricey no matter where purchased. So I was more focused on a top notch shop for the purchase and install - and Trident is IT in Austin. I bought the Fox 2.5s Performance Elite front coilovers and rear shocks- both with the DSM reservoirs. Plus I opted for the BDS UCAs. I had the UCAs powder-coated bright red. Andrew - the GM at Trident MS was my contact person and he was great! He was patient and answered all my questions - that I'm sure he's heard a million times before. But he treated me right and that I appreciate. Now my F150 Fx4 runs and looks great with a 2.5" lift in front. The truck also rides smoother on paved roads compared to the OEM shocks. These guys are just incredible! When a truck cover was not going to arrive in time for Christmas for my son, the owner lept into action... He insisted on providing a more expensive cover for the same price because he did not want my son to be without the actual gift for Christmas. Took my 2018 Tundra 1794 there a few months back over the summer in 2020 and got a 7" BDS lift with all the coil overs and fox suspension and threw on a set of new Fuel wheels and 37" grapplers. I heard of these guys through social media and I'm glad I found them. I live in Houston and they're based out of Austin, Tx and once I made that first phone call the rest was history. Everyone there was easy to talk to and wanted to help in every way. I called them not knowing what I wanted or even needed on my truck and they have me some great suggestions and I'm happy with the results. Fair prices and damn good work. I had a leveling kit put on a 2019 Ram with some new tires, custom box and installation for some subwoofers. James did an absolute fantastic job on the box and those suckers hit harder than before. A custom enclosure is the way to go people. I think what really set them apart was the service. They ended up having some timing issues getting the alignment done and was almost unable to deliver the truck on time. Instead of pushing me out till the next morning James was able to convince the guys to work late and personally delivered my truck to my house. Do yourself and your truck a favor by getting your work done by a quality shop like this. read more

Worst... once they get your money you're on your own. Not personable, or understand customer service. They installed a lift on my truck. The truck was new when the lift was installed. The truck currently only has 18,000 miles on it. I have a horrible noise coming from the front of my truck. I called them and told them about it and they told me bring it in. Every time I go in they are not personable. When I tried to explain the noise they brushed me off and took my keys. All they did was lubricated it. I left the parking lot and the noise was still there. It's even worse. Maybe if they didn't test drive my truck near a busy highway with the windows up, they might of heard it better. Better yet, maybe they should of took a test drive with me. So don't waist your time. I drove over an hour each direction to have them blow me off. I have plans on putting many improvements into my truck. They won't see my business again. UPDATE. Found the noise. Only took someone that listened to the customer. He walked next to my truck as I drove across a parking lot. Said.. he had an idea of where it was coming from. Climbed under under my truck with a prybar and instantly recreated the noise. It will be a $300-$500 fix. Basically the lift has to be pulled off, grinded, then resembled. It's a improper cut by a mount that is causing metal on metal friction. Something Trident probably warranties but I won't waist my time with them again. read more

Installed a 2" lift on my Toyota SUV. They installed the coils upside down in my struts and placed spacers on the wrong side. This caused a dramatic lean to one side and a hard pull to the right under acceleration. I'm sure they would have remedied the issues. But, I chose not to let them touch my vehicle again after losing my trust. I will never have work done here again. read more

I sent my truck, f250, for a leveling kit to the other guys...it was the wrong kit so truck was too high upfront and handled very poorly...passengers and friends told me they were sea sick inside while driving. No serious complaints here, but they must have used an impact driver to tighten the nuts on the lower shock mounts. That's usually the case when it takes unusual force to remove them, which was the case, and only 3000 miles after the install. It's an old Toyota, but next time I'm just doing the work myself. I had to replace the LCA's and that's when I noticed the problem. I used a breaker bar and a pipe that extended so far that I really thought it was welded on there, but then it finally broke. And the other side was almost as bad. Yes I tried with a regular breaker and BP Blaster, etc. and there was no lock tight used that I could see (good thing there). can't be certain but I really think they didn't do this job 100% to spec. And maybe they overtightened it on purpose For some reason to ensure safety? I don't know, but in that case I should have been informed. sometimes overtightening can snap bolts after wear and tear...I'm glad that this didn't happen...and not sure how close this was to FUBAR, really. its just that none of the experiences I had here would result in confidence to repeat business. The advice on equipment was good, and I'm sure these guys know their stuff. I only wish they would have used a torque wrench on my truck. but I also like my new way of looking at everything after knowing that you don't get what you pay for when it comes to labor at so many places. Not guaranteed anyway. Confidence is destroyed with a single nut. Because: what else went wrong that I don't know about? The truck also had a newly blown (Avery lose and clanky) upper ball joint (UCA) At the time of the repair that I discovered after I replaced the UCA's and LCA's (again, 3k miles later). And these guys didn't notice when doing new shocks? Not saying that's the end of the world but...I'm also not impressed. Ultimately, that's my responsibility though. My problem. the upside: Nobody touches my trucks now, except me. It's a lot more fun anyway...so thanks for being less than ideal, and forgive me if I am wrong here...all ears if you want to show me what's up. read more

Handing down my low mileage 2000 Ford F-150 to my son so I wanted to make it a little "cooler". Worked with James and added a 3" lift with new wheels and tires. Also added a backup camera and new radio too because the prices fit in our budget. Turned out so good that I want to keep it! The wheels were a challenge because of the age of the truck but James found some that were perfect for the truck. Easy guys to work with and great service! I couldn't be happier with the workmenship and the way my Tacoma looks! They do an outstanding job, fast and efficient. What makes thier business stand out is more than just the installs, it's the customer service. It's hard to find businesses that understand customer service is what makes people come back.
