I was catfished with their Instagram pictures. It's a step up from your local asian restaurant, but for the price not worth it. Wings were okay. Their Pad sew was the only thing I actually liked. Their Pad Thai was okay. The garlic noodles tasted okay but I was disappointed that instead of the steak they show in pictures they give you beef broccoli pieces instead. Their mermaid drink was also just okay. Place looks nice inside and you can eat at the two small tables provided out front but if they are taken you have to take it to go because of Covid. I tried Triple-T at the location in Huntington Beach, and I'm sad to see that this location has low reviews. I really enjoyed the food. I ordered to-go and it came out quick and tasted really fresh. The service was great too! The cashier gave me a complimentary Thai iced tea for trying the restaurant for the first time and it made me so happy! It also tasted delicious. Triple T is an interesting place. It was filled with a lot of K-12 kids so the atmosphere made sense. It has a lot of potential. Customer Service: -I'd say 1/5 only because when I asked for a refund for their "Popcorn Chicken" they refused to help me. I was surprised, as someone that works in customer service, to refuse a customer, especially one that had a poor experience I would assume you'd want to help them but instead they chose not to and we're rude about it as well. Food: -0/5 I ordered the Popcorn chicken because of the reviews I've seen that said it was pretty good. But, instead it was very gross. The chicken was over fried breaded and hard. The chicken inside was excessively chewy, rubbery, and slimy. It was extremely off-putting and I couldn't eat it. I barely touched my food but they refused to help me and give me a refund or simply apologize for my experience. Beverages: -3.5/5 maybe even a 4. Their drinks were very good. If I would've stuck to their drinks this would be a different review. They have a wide menu but the Blueberry Matcha was pretty good. If I was to come back it would only be for the drinks. Let me start by saying that I go out of my way every two weeks two drive 15 miles o.w. to go this place for delicious drinks and tasty platters. It os a treat for me to try their great variety of drinks. I was conflicted in writing this review for that reason but under the circumstances that we are living in today(covid) i was really concerned with what i seen in the five minutes i was waiting in line. 1. From the line you can see the salad bar. I witnessed an employee preparing a salad with her bare hands. Grabbing the lettuce, bean sprouts and other items with NO tongs. I thought it was for her but she boxed it up and in her other hand the held the box and a pen. NO gloves nor tongs. 2. The cook was not wearing a mask!!! One other young line cook was but one of them was not have photo to prove it. 3. I observed a customer return from her car with two drinks in her hand. She claimed that they were the wrong order. The employee packaging the food and bagging them accepts the drinks over the plexi glass partition, no gloves and places them on the counter were they prepare the drinks. She then comes back and continues to place utensils and sauces in the orders she is preparing. A) she didnt wash her hands afterwards B) contaminated prep table with the drinks that were returned. And still no gloves 4. Lastly, and yes still within the 5 minutes, as i parked I observed a lady squatting putting something into a food container by her car rear door. Didnt think much about it until i was waiting inside to order when i see that woman walk in with some sort of pot with the container and walk straight into the kitchen. The container she had on floor. ( i dont have picture of that) i believe she was wearing a mask. I really like this restaurant and would like to come back but they need to clean up their act especially now. I feel they need to make me, the customer feel safe to continue patronizing their establishment. The food is great but this is a deal breaker. I've been following them on Instagram for years because they have amazing pictures that look so delicious. I finally traveled to Gardena and checked them out recently but unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. It's got a great atmosphere, service was great and friendly. There was a bit of a wait for the food but I didn't mind because that just meant they were preparing the food fresh. The main issue was that the food wasn't the best quality. I ordered the shaken beef garlic noodles and it was just okay. The beef was kind of fatty and the noodles were the thick cheapy looking noodles. I also felt like it was a small serving of noodles. My husband ordered the shrimp fried rice which was pretty bland, not much flavor. He also didn't like that the shrimp still had the tails on them and he had to pick them all out of the rice and pull off the tails himself. We also ordered the crispy garlic fries, but again they weren't that great. Kind of soft, not really crispy and just a sprinkle of garlic salt or powder on the top. Lastly I ordered the iced matcha milk tea with boba. Again it was just okay. The flavor of the tea was fine but the boba seemed like it was falling apart. I would have probably rated my review a 4, if only Triple-T was a bit on the tidier side. While I was impressed with their unique and extensive drink and food menu, and the farmhouse interior, I was underwhelmed with their upkeep of the store. The place needs a deep cleaning! The tables had a sticky residue, with a pungent sour mildew smell. It was so off putting I had to go to my car and get disinfectant wipes! My kiddos really enjoyed the popcorn chicken, so much so they ordered a second round. The rice noodle soup with fish was actually well balanced with a clean after taste. But The drinks at Triple-T are definitely the reason you would make the effort to come visit this part of the neighborhood. Decided to give this place another try and I regret it so much. Upon walking in we're greeted with their new health inspector grade, which is a B. I almost walked out then and there but I decided to grit and bear it considering my friend wanted to try this place. I ordered their Signature Milk Tea and the Shaken Beef Garlic Noodle. My friend got the Popcorn Chicken and the Garlic Crispy Fries. Ordering was fine this time around, the cashier was really nice and gave us a number for our table. We find a spot between the front entrance and the kitchen door. While we were waiting for our food I glanced over at the kitchen and was shocked to see the kitchen staff walking around in flip flops. They also had an orange Home Depot bucket on the floor that they were using as a trash can. The floor was littered with pieces of vegetables and other bits of food as if they hadn't swept in days. I was probably seeing one of the reasons why they got a B from the Health inspector. When our drinks and food got to our table everything looked pretty good. The popcorn chicken was the best out of everything (just like last time). The fries were the second best, but as for everything else... not so good. The noodles were so overcooked and just didn't taste good. The beef was seasoned okay but the texture was also off. My drink was really bitter and floral tasting which I wasn't expecting at all. After mixing it more and letting the ice dissolve a bit it got better but those first few sips were really unpleasant. This place is receded towards the back of the plaza. Definitely a trendy place. Boba style drinks with unique creations. They serve food too but only came for dessert/ drinks. We got the plain garlic noodles & I thought it was super flavorful. Goes well with the popcorn chicken which is tasty especially with the red chili sauce that goes with it. The portions are large & could easily be shared by 2 or more people. Their Boba Milkteas are just okay, but our standards are high since we've had many of them from different places. They are pretty Covid 19 safe with masks & gloves, but we did notice a couple of people eating at their indoor tables. The fries were a bit salty and lacking in the garlic flavor, the popcorn chicken tasted like mild and didn't give the flavor I am used to. The Bulogogi and rice tasted like a Filipino dish called Beef Steak and not like the Korean dish which is what we were anticipating. The dish was a bit on the sweeter side, flavorful, but not what was expected. Finally the chicken garlic noodles were packed with flavor. The noodle portion was delicious, however, the chicken was bland.... For the teas, the teas my family and I have tried was the Thai Lime Tea, Mango Tea, Purple Tea, and their Sunset Drink. Finally, a boba place in the South Bay that serves popcorn chicken AND food entrees. My guess is this is Thai-owned because of the menu options, but I'm not complaining. They do offer the split cup which I love because I get to taste 2 flavors at the same time. The downsides are that it does cost more than your regular or large drink and you get slightly less. Flavors that we tried: Signature milk tea: At first, I assumed it was matcha but it's not. It's based off of a green thai tea. It was delicious and does not taste like your typical thai tea. I encourage you to try it. Thai lime green tea - this is a fail for me. It tasted way too sweet and like pure syrup. Grapefruit tea - very refreshing with big pieces of grapefruit in it - while the fresh fruit touch is nice - it takes away from the liquid volume of your drink. Almond milk tea - boring, not that great, way too creamy. They do have punch cards. I plan on coming back to try their food. Also, the layout is fantastic - it's huge for a boba store. Lots of communal seating with long tables and benches to sit on. Good place to sit, munch, and gab with your best friend. I had really high expectations for this place and was really let down. I ordered wonton soup and the wontons were Terrible it was some type of meat in it. Looked like a meatball!!! The chicken was old and rubbery, barely edible! Ended up picking it out. The broth wasn't flavorful at all. Also got calamari, had a good flavor, soggy though!
