Over-charged for item was missing from order

Tried to order online on Sunday 8/9th, their system was not working. Called and no one answered. Had no choice but order in person, food was taken a long time to be ready, waited 30+ minutes. They gave me my bag of food knowing that one item was MISSING, because they crossed every item when it's being placed in the bag. Called them back 2 hours later, the female manager talked with BAD attitude, said $8.00 will be refunded to my credit card. It has been 13 days, NOTHING.

I LOVE love LOVE Triumph Valley!! genuinely love at first bite. This is my go to spot for dim sum and it never disappoints. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and just hits every time. So many seats inside but Just a heads up: come early or be ready to wait, because this place is always packed. It's busy, a little chaotic, but 100% worth it. There's 20 Chinese aunties running around so please come with an open mind. No matter how long the wait gets, I'll always make time for my bookie pookie.

Unfortunately, this will be our last visit to Triumph Valley. My party ordered quite a bit of food and most of it was actually very good. We had no complaints about the majority of the dishes, the ambiance was ok and were enjoying our meal. However, one of the items we ordered, the ribs, tasted like they were not cooked properly and were extremely underdone. We politely brought this to the staff's attention thinking it would be an easy fix. Instead of trying to make it right, we were told "we can't take it off after it was ordered." That response was pretty shocking considering the issue was with the quality of the food itself. For context, we come here fairly often, I have bought my staff in several times and we always tip 20% or more. As someone who dines out frequently and writes a lot of reviews, food is obviously important but customer service is equally more important, especially these days. A simple effort to address the issue would have gone a long way. Instead, the situation was handled in a way that made us feel completely dismissed as customers. Because of that experience, I unfortunately wouldn't be able to recommend this restaurant. There are several other great options in the area that value both the food and the guest experience. As always, if anyone is looking for similar spots nearby, feel free to message me.

I love a good dim sum and my girlfriend told me this was the new spot everyone went to in Seattle. They offer a lot of the classics but also have some seafood specialties since we are in the PNW. I thought a lot of the dishes were decent, but not amazing. My personal favorites were the siu mai with truffle and the fried oysters served with a wasabi mayo. They do get very busy on the weekends and food can take a while so definitely plan ahead. Decent dim sum spot but there are betters in the area.

The servers here were really nice, we requested a round table because the hot pot long tables were uncomfortable for our tall people (knees hit the hot pot unit), and they moved us to one. The food was also delicious and the servings kind of large. They only do orders, not dim sum carts. My favorite dishes were the radish cake and deep fried taro buns, though honestly not a bad dish in our 12 dish order. The place itself was kind of funny, very clearly previously an American bar and restaurant. Still, pretty roomy! I appreciate how much parking there is.

Chinese restaurant in Renton in its own building with a good sized parking lot. Serves Cantonese, Sichuan, and even hotpot. Went there for dimsum lunch on the weekend, and the place was busy. Half hour wait for a table for 4. Pretty big restaurant that's divided into at least 2 wings. The decor is kind of interesting, can't really put a theme on it. For dimsum, you don't get the choice of tea, they just give you the standard one. Ordering is done via tablet. They have a decent selection of traditional items and a few of their own specialties. Items were served pretty quickly. Out of the bunch, all the traditional items like shiu mai, chicken feet, steamed rib bits etc. were decent. The water chestnut cake was actually very good, as was the green roll with fried shrimp inside. The BBQ pork pastry was not that great, too floury and not flakey enough. My group also ordered stir fried duck tongue which was okay, but pretty pricey ($30) for the amount of meat. The dimsum items are mostly $7 each so pretty reasonable. Overall bill for 4 was $130 including tips. One of the better dimsum places I've been to in Puget Sound, but not quite the level what you can get in Richmond/Vancouver.

Solid, not spectacular, responsive service. Went with a larger party at opening on a Saturday. Ordered turnip cakes, stuffed eggplant, hum bao, garlic green beans, sticky rice, soy sauce noodles. Good execution, quick and hot food.

    Chicken feet and tripe

Good customer service and food has been very consistent. 1) mochi salted egg yolk; crispy, chewy and not very sweet. Good item to order after eating a good meal. A little bit oily due to them deep frying it but delectable 2) Shumai: good balance of shrimp, pork filling and not greasy 3), Truffle shumai: the taste is off and not too good, I would skip this 4). chicken feet is superb 5). tripe was delicious and did not smell 6. pork ribs: delicious

Good dim sum option in the area. It is a bit on the pricier side, but there is not much that compares unless you are willing to go further north or east. The truffle siu mai are a standout, and I love their crispy rolls. The chicken feet and all the classic dim sum staples are solid. You really cannot go wrong with the menu. It can get busy and there is often a long wait, so I recommend going early or making a reservation.

Taro puff, fried bean curd roll w/shrimp, beef rice roll, radish cake in the back, siu mai partially visible. Tables stink of floor cleaner.

The food itself is high quality. The best pan-fried noodles I've had in a long time (aka chow mein, choose the crispy option). Dim sum is some of the best in the Seattle area. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).

This place was okay. The service was just okay. Honestly, I've had a lot better for cheaper prices. We did love the egg plant though and the siu mai. We'd come back for that. I didn't care for the salt and pepper wings and usually you could not go wrong with those. The wings were TINY and feel like the portions were just not up to par with the price. The chicken had a weird after taste that we didn't like as well. Everything else seemed okay too. The cake noodles was my partners favorite, I thought it was okay. We did not like the fried taro shrimp dumplings because it wasn't crispy enough for us. The shrimp egg rolls were alright. Price wise, it wasn't worth it to us. It does look really good but when you eat it, it doesn't taste like anything too special. The service was okay, it took awhile for them to get our food and, we weren't welcomed in, and it took awhile long time for our bill to come as well.

Haven't had dim sum in awhile when we were trying to figure out where to celebrate my dad's birthday my brother suggested Triumph a favorite of his and his wife. We know the lines can get long so we arrived a little before 10am on a Sunday. Once the doors open we were seated quickly. You order from a pad which makes things easy. Since there were six of us we doubled up on a few items. Large well lit space with lots of parking. We were seated at an 8 top which allowed lots of space.

First time visit to Triumph Valley and dim sum was quite tasty! Ordered har gow, siu mai, beef balls, bean curd rolls, bbq pastry buns, soy sauce chow main, soup dumplings, preserved egg and pork congee, chicken feet, stir fried rice roll with xo sauce, pork with crab seaweed roll. My least favorite was the last entree. Everything was tasty, very fresh. Order the food from an iPad. Service was very prompt. Looking forward to going back.

Ask the Community - Triumph Valley

Do they have A private dining area for a party of 50?

    I believe so

Do they take reservations for Dim Sum on the weekends?

Yes,we take 6 people or more than 6 of party reservation. : )

Is the bar area children friendly?

Actually I'm not sure.... It looks fairly large. One thing I did not mention in my review was that a strong smell of pot wafted out as I walked by the bar entrance...so personally i would not take a child in there. I'm hoping that was an anomaly ...…

    Do you take reservations?

I think they do since they have a reservation system, where when you are at the restaurant, you would enter in your mobile and party number, and they would text you. You can also check your status to see how far along you are in the line too.

Do y'all service dimsum all day or just certain times of the day?

All day but beyond a certain time (3 pm I think?) it's a limited selection -- but still all good!

Where could I make a reservation on Christmas Day ? Walk-in only? It seems like I could only call to book a table. Thank you!

When I was there Saturday, they had a small sign that they were not taking reservations. But I would definitely call to double check as I could be wrong.

Is there dim sum offer in the outdoor dining/bar area?

Not on the day I went. Not sure if that ever changes.

    Is their hotpot ayce?

Hello. Our hotpot is not ayce. We are serving individual order. Expense for each person around 35-40 dollars. Please come and check our delicious chicken soup base. Thank you.

How hard is it to get a reservation here? What are the options?

Pretty easy! I called a few hours before the time I wanted and got in just fine.

When does the wait for a table usually start?

I have NO IDEA... none, sorry. Great place, good luck getting a table!

Do they serve dim sum all day?

    yes

This location is roomy. Service is warm; our server was helpful answering questions. The Food: Arepitas Fritas, $17 - 5+ Stars Four mini arepa in the appetizer section, these start with the same cornmeal (masa de maíz) base as the normal arepa, then topped with cheese, slow cooked beef, quail egg, and pink sauce. These bites are sooooo good! They sell the full-size arepas also, which will likely be a future meal. :) Platanos Fritos, $8 - 5 Stars Gotta love Latin foods with their plantains. Simple and delicious. Theirs are perfectly prepared. Camarones de Ajillo, $19 - 3.5 Stars These shrimps are cooked in garlic, herbs, and cream. The herb butter sauce is excellent, but the shrimps' quality is just ok. We liked it enough but will not order again. Asado Negro Tips, $23 - 3.5 Stars 8 oz of NY strip are cooked cubed in asado sauce, served with yuca fries and quasaca, a mini tomato and avocado salad. Again, the asado sauce is excellent, but the steak pieces are on the tough side. The yuca fries didn't stand out. This is also a 'liked it enough but won't order again' dish.

I happen to come on a Sunday, around 6pm, which is normally kind of slow. The mall was busier in general than I am used to. I was quite surprised at how busy the mall was and the restaurant. I have not been here when it was called Imperial Garden, so I can't speak to the previous quality. I order the three meat pan fried noodles. Good wok hei and overall flavor. Just the right balance of noodles, meat, bean sprouts and green onion. A tad bit on the oily side for my tastes. They serve a limited dim sum menu I believe at night. I ordered the har gow and siu mai. Very thin wrapper on the har gow. Whole small shrimp for the filling, instead of chopped up. However, the thin wrapper meant it came apart a little too easily. Good flavor, though. Siu mai have a nice texture. a rough chop used on the pork vs minced or ground. Also a nice change from the sometimes too dense texture at other places. This almost tasted like chunks of spareribs. Pretty good. Surprisingly large dining room. I had no idea the space was that big. Service was a little rough. I've noticed that Sundays, in general, are pretty slow for dining out. But they seemed like they were getting a good sized crowd, and maybe they weren't quite staffed up. It was a little chaotic it seemed. My food came out quickly once they came back to take my order. One server tried to take my menu and I said I still needed to order. And she just left. She didn't take my order or round up the server that seated me. Kind of odd. But I still got my order in a timely fashion. It's nice they ask what tea you want. There is a $1 charge for tea. (I assume that's per person). Not a deal breaker. The days of complimentary tea are long gone, so $1 is a bargain I think. I think pretty authentic and good quality, but for the price I think Triumph Valley might be a better bet, and it's just up the road. (Although I hate the stinky chemical cleaner they use on the tables at Triumph Valley). And I think Diamond Bay is still hard to beat for overall quality and service. Heji has a separate takeout entrance for BBQ (and perhaps the rest of their menu?). I'll have to check that out next time and confirm.
