AH-MAZING! My family has been raving about this place for years and I'm so glad I finally tried it. I saw it listed as best dim sum restaurant in WA and had to come. This place deserves it. The restaurant ambiance itself seems traditional, while fun and elegant with their metal egg gold seats. The service and ordering system seems high tech and easy to use. I was lucky enough to be invited here for a family member's work event in celebration of Lunar New Year, and it didn't disappoint! Good dim sum is hard to find around here, and my family often goes up to Richmond to get our fix, so our standards are high! On a Sunday morning at 10am (opening), the line was out the door. Fortunately, since we were part of an event, we didn't have to wait, but the line for the regular dining room was no joke, and that's when we knew that this place was legit. The event room that they set aside for us was spacious, with enough room for 60+ people. The menu for us was pre-fixe and family style (photo attached to this review), and it was MORE than enough food. I've listed each dish that I tried below: 5 STARS (AMAZING) SHRIMP DUMPLINGS (HAR GOW): These are always a dim sum favorite for us, and these didn't disappoint. They're humongous, with an ample amount of fresh-tasting shrimp inside, and a perfectly-done skin. They were seasoned amazingly as well, and great with some chili oil! SALTED EGG YOLK MOCHI: These were rich and decadent without being overpowering, with a rich, gooey egg yolk filling and a perfectly chewy mochi outer layer (ube-flavored?). Additionally, the slight taste of salt kicked these into an almost umami-like dimension. CRAB MEAT/FISH MAW SOUP: This was definitely a sleeper hit for me, and I'm so glad I tried it. The texture is almost like egg drop soup (bordering on being gelatinous), and you can really taste the seafood flavor coming through in the broth. It was clean-tasting and comforting, warming to the bone! LOBSTER NOODLE W/ GINGER AND SCALLION SAUCE: Wow. The portion of lobster they gave us was extremely generous, with succulent, juicy pieces of lobster. But the noodles (which appeared to be hand-pulled) were the real star of the show. They were al dente and exquisitely textured in a way that helped them soak up all of the nicely balanced ginger-scallion sauce. GET THIS. RED BEAN SESAME BALL: These were crispy and perfectly chewy, with a not-too-sweet red bean filling inside. A great dessert to finish! 4 STARS (GOOD) PORK AND SHRIMP SIU MAI: These were plump and juicy, with a good amount of meat filling inside, but I found them to be heavier on the pork than the shrimp. The seasoning was good, but add some chili oil to make them even better! BBQ PORK BUN: These buns were light and fluffy, but they were light on the pork inside, and I thought the filling was a bit too sweet. You can find better pork buns elsewhere, but these are decent! PAN FRIED RADISH CAKES: The seasoning on these was great, with just enough rich, shrimp-y taste, but I wished that they were just a bit crispier on the edges. CHINESE DONUT RICE ROLL: The donut on the inside of the roll was perfectly crispy, but I'll say I found the rice paper on the outside with the roll to be a bit of a strange pairing - that said, I think that's just my own taste! These were also a bit bland, so add ome soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil! STEAMED CHICKEN W/ DRY ONION SOY SAUCE: For reference, this is basically Hainanese chicken. The dark meat was nice and juicy, and it paired well with the dry onion soy sauce provided (which also had a nice kick of ginger!) as well as the crunchy onions on top. The breast meat was a bit dry, and I didn't love the texture of the skin. BUDDHA DELIGHT: This dish came with a generous amount of rice noodles and vegetables in some sort of soy sauce? The noodles were nothing special, but I enjoyed the seasoning and the variety of veggies, ranging from shiitake mushrooms to lotus roots. STEAMED WHOLE FISH: Great presentation, but the fish was a bit bland and too fatty to eat a lot of. Eat it with the scallions! PORK BELLY & TARO POT: The pork belly was decadent, but the taro was overcooked, and I thought the sauce it came in was too rich and thick (good bok choy though!) SLICED ABALONE: They gave us a generous portion of abalone with well-cooked mushrooms and bok choy. The sauce was a bit bland, but that let the delicate taste of the abalone shine through. STIR-FRIED PEA VINE: This dish was well-seasoned, and the pea vines were nice and crunchy! 3 STARS (OKAY) SALAD SHRIMP W/ FRUIT: I'll preface this by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of deep fried, breaded foods, so perhaps I was biased against this dish from the start. The shrimp was nice and crispy, but it was also drenched in Japanese mayo, and I found it a bit strange how it was also served with mayo-soaked watermelon? SALT AND PEPPER TOFU: Again, not the biggest fan of deep fried foods, so keep that in mind. I think the tofu was unevenly seasoned, and the breading separated a lot from the tofu, which wasn't the most appealing to eat. I will say that the tofu inside was nice, and I enjoyed eating it with the hoisin sauce provided! It is no wonder the Seattle Times named Triumph Valley as the best dim sum in the Seattle area. I visited on the first day of the year (a Sunday) around 11am with my fiancé. There's a nice sized parking lot in the front. We were 35th in line upon arrival, but because we were a small party and everyone else had a larger group, we were seated right away. We ordered a variety of dishes off the dim sum menu and loved everything. Our favorite dish was the salted egg yolk mochi. The texture was so soft with a rich egg yolk sweetness and runny consistency in the center. We also enjoyed the shrimp rice rolls, stuffed tofu with shrimp, fried radish cakes, dumplings with chives, shrimp, and pork, and BBQ pork buns. The shrimp dumplings were also fantastic--there's plenty of shrimp inside, and the dumpling wrapper has a nice elasticity to it. This is not the kind of restaurant with dim sum carts; you have to order from a menu, and then the food gets brought out to you fresh. It was pretty busy, but I felt like the food came out at a decent pace. We will definitely be back! read more

The restaurant is huge and can accommodate a lot of families, but I came off hours and there were five other tables seated. I ordered a lot of food for one person (on purpose) so I'd have yummy leftovers for later. Even though other Yelp reviews mentioned the size of the dim sum, I was surprised when delivered. Not only were they delicious and perfectly made, but also enormous...! After ordering food on a Tableside tablet, the servers bustled about ensuring all the diners had what they needed to fully appreciate their meals. I'll definitely be back and I'll be bringing reinforcements to help with the large portion sizes! When walking towards the dining area you will walk past dozens of tanks holding fresh catch in them. Our party of 6 ordered 16 different items and even though some things only came in 3s or 4s we asked for scissors to help cut items in half to better share so we didn't have to double up on things. Gosh the wait is crazy, even for middle of the week Wednesday (granted it was summer and also a holiday). The amount of tables vs the amount of wait staff was not enough, some of the food we received was lukewarm at best. Still not as good as some dimsum places in downtown Seattle, but a good option if you're nearby. One notable thing is their crispy dough wrapped with rice rolls, this was done so well! This place is my #1 restaurant in Seattle! Have to try their din sum! Everything is so good!

Busy spot with decent dim sum. We waited 30 min for a table. You get on the waitlist using an iPad at the front desk station. Once seated, you order off an iPad and they bring you the food. Checkout can be done by calling for the waitstaff through the iPad. The food came out in waves, noticeably the fried foods first and then the steamed. We ordered 9 dim sum items and then the salt & pepper squid which was almost $20 for a total of $76.2 before tax ($84.52 after tax). Salt & pepper squid was golden but not very salty and the squid was soft and tender. Custard buns were bland but creamy. They were big buns with a super soft dough. Egg tarts had such a deliciously sweet and creamy filling; I recommend this one. They use a pastry shell instead of cookie crust which I like because it was flaky but the dough itself was a little bland and dry. I also really liked the steamed rice roll with shrimp. The dough was chewy and stretchy, I loved it. The chive/shrimp/pork pan fried dumpling had ample filling but came out cold. The fried shrimp balls were massive and had good shrimp flavor but I wish it came with the creamy dipping sauce that you normally get at other dim sum spots. I would say skip the stuffed tofu w/ shrimp. I wasn't impressed with it because at other spots it will come in a sweet sauce, which this didn't. It was also quite bland so the lack of sauce didn't help. Lastly, they fried it a little too long and/or used a firmer tofu vs a softer kind so it wasn't creamy like at other places I've had. Overall impressions of the food: big portions, not very salty Service: staff was very nice. Pro tip: if you come here on a weekend, try to get here before they open as food will take a while to come out and even longer when you're on the waitlist. I LOVE the radish cakes here. It is definitely fried with less dough and more radish creating the perfect ratio. The chicken feet is my favorite, so well seasoned and delicious. Don't pass on the shrimp rice rolls, they're so much better than the ones with the Chinese doughnuts in them. The eggplant with shrimp is another must as well. We also ordered the fish fillet plate the last time we were here and it's seriously so underrated and I would highly recommend. Good diversity of dishes! Service is efficient, and as can be expected from a dim sum place the ambiance is quite a lively experience. Gai lan- steamed plate, has quite a bit, cooked pretty well. Egg tart- light and flaky, a bit oily. Custard is very soft. Mochi Liu Sa Bao- nice crispy outer layer, purple mochi and lots of egg inside. It's actually really well done, and best eaten when hot- stays pretty toasty since it is enclosed. Make sure to save lots of room for this one- it's mochi and very filling. Radish cake- classic. Food didn't come out super quickly, we got the chow fun first and then the random assortment of dim sum dishes. Everything was really tasty. Not pictured, but least favorite was for sure the soup dumplings, skin had the texture of frozen ones and there was very little soup. It was fine though. We got the radish cakes, green beans, bean curd rolls, congee, egg yolk custard mochi, beef chow fun, pork short ribs, siu mai, shrimp Chang fen, soup dumplings. First the positives, food was tasty, some were better than others, but overall pretty good food. The Mochi Salted Egg Yolk was surprisingly unique and tasty. Other items like the Har Gao and Shumai were good. The food flavor is good, so I didn't mind paying their prices, but don't expect value here. Now for the negatives.. Service here is awfully slow. Our beef chow fun came out first after 15-20 mins, followed by a some dim sum and string beans 10 mins later, and then finally the remaining dim sum items another 15 mins later. We grew tired of waiting and filled up on the items that were delivered...so the last several items we didn't get to enjoy as much and ended up taking it to-go. If you're looking for reasonable prices and good value, you won't find it here. The standard dim sim items are all about $6+, some even more. The beef chow fun had good flavor but hardly any beef! For $17, I was expecting more than 5 slices of beef in this dish. The pork spareribs had more bones than meat, and not having any black bean took away from the overall flavor that I'm used to. This was the first time we have been to this restaurant. All I can say is that we were not disappointed. We arrived right after 5pm when they opened and were the first people there. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us, swiftly showed us to a table, and immediately brought us a pot of tea. The dinning rooms are clean, quiet, and very tranquil. The BEST dim sum I've ever had. This place had strong reviews and they were accurate. 6 of us went on a Sunday. There was quite the line up of people waiting for tables but we were able to add our party to the waitlist and were in position 13. Our wait was 23 minutes (not bad!). We were seated and service was fast. You order on the iPads and food is brought very quickly. There are not any carts here. We ordered 18 dishes and stuffed ourselves on the glorious food. There was more than enough and we took away 3 boxes of leftovers. The total bill was $180 which is incredible considering the enormous amount of food we ordered. Our favorites were the shrimp balls and the shrimp tofu least favorite were the egg tarts which were not custards enough and heavy on the egg. The only drawback is the seating can be cramped. Eventually we waved one down and turned it in. 40 minutes later we waved down another wait staff and gently inquired about their order status. She told us ours were coming out soon and even ran to the back to confirm. Once the food came, it was all delivered at once! Obviously by then we were starving and wished the plates drifted out of the kitchen as they do so many other dim sum places, but the dim sum here was worth the wait. Rice paper wrappings not grainy, exceptionally chewy, and stretchy. XLB were small but perfect in soup-filling ratio. Sticky rice lotus wrap was pretty standard but well cooked. Custard bun was soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. Salted egg yolk mochi was rich and probably their best item here. Congee with century egg and chicken was tasty and not too watery. They also have a bar and they have hot pot. The line was out the door by the time we left. Total averaged $40/per person (not counting the kids) and we were all stuffed. I will be back. read more

After a 30 minute wait for a table for 2 we were super excited to finally try Triumph Valley which had been on our list for ages. The meal was a bit of a roller coaster tbh. The steamed dumplings were simply outstanding. The Shrimp and Chives was extremely flavorful and large sized dumplings. The Shu Mai was probably some of the best I've ever had, including those I've had in China. Very very highly recommend these. The fried dumplings were highly recommended but unfortunately somewhat disappointing. The Deep Fried Pork Dumpling has a very mismatched ratio of wrapper to filling and were extremely greasy, literally like a sponge that had just soaked up all the frying oil. The Salted Egg Yolk Mochi was extremely flavorful and had a perfect runny oozy center, but again was just a mouthful of grease with every bite. I don't know if they had temperature issues with their oil or whether this is the norm but as much as I liked the flavors, I'd stay away from these the next time around and stick with the non-fried dimsum. The servers were actually really nice and very attentive, contrary to many reviews. They were also very friendly and one of them came and had a really nice conversation with us about Indian and Chinese food, cultures, flavors, etc. Overall, the food was good, the portions massive and felt worth the price (that initially seemed steep). Probably my new favorite dim sum place in Seattle area!!! We got here around 12:30 and was 11th in the waitlist and waited around 50 min to be seated. Not gonna lie I was pretty hangry and kept saying "this food better be worth it!!!" In my head. Man oh man the wait was worth it. Everything was so delicious. Best of all the service was fast. Befor we sat down, we grabbed a menu and checked off all we wanted and gave it straight to the waiter and within 10 min the food kept coming. The service was great too- they were all very kind and not pushy like you usually expect in Chinese restaurants - though they do seem a bit understaffed as even though we got our dishes fast but clean up/ getting the check took a bit of time. food was delicious and portions were big!!! The salty egg yolk mochi are so good and unique- never had them anywhere else!! I thought we ordered just the right amount for 6 ppl but we ended up STUFFED and packing about 1/3 of it. Must say that trying this restaurant out for the very first time today (4/30/22) for lunch, it wasn't worth the 1-hour wait (from 10:20 AM - 11:20 AM) before getting seated since the food quality was so-so and there was basically zero service! 3 Stars for the Pork and Siu Mai, PF Chives, Shrimp and Pork Dumplings and Beef Chow Fun Noodles. -2 for flavor of the Chow Fun, which was bland. The Chili Hot Sauce didn't taste all that spicy and service wasn't that good since we had asked for refills on water 2 times, but never got them. Nobody came by except to bring our food and to-go containers, along with the check at the end. Also, our water cups didn't look fully clean. Definitely wasn't worth the hype that people said and there being long lines of people, and tons of cars parkes in the parking lot. All nonsense. We recently held a birthday celebration at this restaurant. The host suggested one of their pre-planned menus with 10 courses. They allowed changes to better satisfy our preferences. The bar area was set aside for our party at no additional cost. The dishes were very large. They were tasty--family from Richmond, BC (a Chinese food capital) commented on how good everything was. This is definitely some of the better dim sum places in the Seattle area! The convenience of not having to fight for parking in the ID for dim sum is sort of negated by the long waits you might have to endure on the weekends. This is not a cart service place which I sort of miss from a nostalgia perspective but i have come around to the fact that ordering off a menu seems to help guarantee your dumplings are hot and fresh. While you wait for your table they give you a menu and a paper ordersheet so you can pick your first round of dim sum. once you sit you have to hand it off to one of the harried wait staff so you can eat ASAP. Subsequent orders are done by a very convenient tablet at your table. The staple dim sum items (Har gow shui mai, pork/shrimp shu mai and rice rolls) are all good quality and come out hot and fresh. The must have dim sum to try here is the salted egg yolk mochi dumplings. Holy smokes this was delicious. Its sort of sweet and savory and quite rich. We got two orders and I ate at least three of these gut bombs. So good. I would suggest coming here on a weekday to avoid the crowd for dim sum. Triumph Valley is my new favorite dim-sum place. I am VERY impressed with the food and options the offer. I love shrimp everything so I ordered every dumpling with shrimp in it. TV does not disappoint. The dumpling dough is super thin and translucent. The ingredients are so fresh and flavorful. The Hong Kong style duck was FANTASTIC! Hands down my favorite duck ever.
