There is not enough staff to handle the amount of customers that come through here. Having to wait more than 20-minutes honestly is ridiculous. The staff isn't pleasant, and it's not their fault since there is usually one person that does register and one in the back. Everyone loves smoothies so just come here already. They have special prices if you stop by before 10am. This spot is right next to my gym so depending on the time I go I order my special price smoothie and pick it up after class. The service is always great, those girls are so nice and accommodating. I usually get the green detox smoothie and add protein or b12. I order it unsweetened and it tastes amazing! They also have a lot of options for food as well. I bring it back there and I'm met with the worst attitude & No apology ( as if I'm wrong simply for asking to receive what I've already paid for) instead the 20 something behind the counter barks "what is it? What is it" I tell her what it is... she blows, windstorm, storms to the back. Makes it, slams it on the counter and tells me to "throw the other one out." I won't be back, and you shouldn't go to this location either. The one in Rocky Point has way better service, and the one in Selden has always been consistently good. They should really train employees in customer service before having them treat clientele this way. They're going lose a lot of business with this unacceptable service. read more

Having been to at least 5-6 different Tropical Smoothie's around Long Island I can easily say that this location has been the best by far. The place was spotless, looked like it was brand new (maybe it is) but the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. They all seem very hardworking. The guy that took my order did just that and then started sweeping what little dust particles were there. I have another location about 10 minutes from my house but will gladly drive an additional 10 minutes in the opposite direction to come back to this location. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the wait was a little longer than expected (seemed to be due to an influx of online orders at the same time) overall, the best location yet. read more

Great smoothies, Probably the best anywhere. Pretty much get the same thing all the time acai berry boost with whey protein and no sugar added. It is extremely healthy and tastes great too. The staff are very quick and friendly. Generally I am in and out in no more than 5 minutes. Ps if in a rush call order ahead and it will be ready for you when you get there. read more

This is not the typical restaurant I patronize for lunch but I got a tip the the restaurant next door has BubbleTea so I figured I'd get lunch before getting a BubbleTea. Well I'll be quick about this. I won't be going back. The whole process of ordering and waiting for your food is a little unsettling for me. First you wait in line to place your order. Now I know it was my first time here and I wasn't sure exactly how it worked but shouldn't be complicated. Only one cashier with a line almost out the door. At least one person gave up on the wait. Not foolish me!! So I finally place my order, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wrap, and the wait begins. Your can watch a group of teenage kids in the back cooking while you wait. Did I say cooking? Well mostly texting and talking. Seemed like I was waiting forever when I think I see my wrap going into the oven/microwave. Not quite sure what it was. After a couple of minutes a young girl retrieves my wrap from the whatever and then opens it up and looks confused. Now I'm ready to run but let's follow this through. It is very apparent that they skimp on the ingredients except for the ice. I've ordered from this place once before a few months ago and hoped for improvement and I was sadly mistaken. I came to this location while visiting home. I came in during the morning and there were only 2 people ahead of me waiting and 2 people working. I understand completely about being short staffed. I placed an order for one smoothie. The 2 people got taken care of and I'm left in the store waiting for 1 minutes while the 2 employees laugh and giggle. Finally, one of them notice I was waiting and the smoothie had been made and left in the corner. They did apologize and give me a voucher for a free smoothie. I come here pretty often because it's really close to my house. My family and I have also ordered catering from here and it's always been great! The food here in my opinion is considered fast food but none the less I really like their menu option and the food is very good. If I could recommend one MAJOR change it would to be have at least one adult working here at all times. They hire just kids and every time I come here there's always something that causes a problem. However, the menu items leave a lot to be desired. They rarely cut the wraps in half, difficult to eat on the run or in the car. They have happy hour until 10 am which is half price smoothie. I normally place my order on the app and then i come in and pick it up but unfortunately the app doesn't give you the happy hour price. This use to be a great spot. Not any more. They have a happy hour before 10:00 with 1/2 price drinks and for more than a year we would call in our order and pick it up between 10:00 and 10:15. Today we did the usual and when we arrived they did not ring up at the happy hour price, when we asked the cashier, she said you have to be in the store. We then asked for the manager and told him that we have been ordering that way for over a year and he said the policy is being enforced now. A couple of issues here 1st no where on any material does it state that is the policy 2nd we did use the happy hour, but we also visited and ordered from this location during the day and evening. We did spent a good amount of money at this location over the years, but no more. I would recommend you spend your money somewhere else. read more

I think a lot of the reviews rate this place worse than it is because of the wait. Yes, the wait is terrible if you don't call ahead...so then you should pick up the phone and call ahead. It's super nice just coming in and grabbing your smoothie (just give yourself a 10-15 min window after calling to pick it up). You can also order on the app but the happy hour price of 1/2 smoothie (which is also fantastic) isn't applicable on the app...so just call ahead if you're ordering before 10 am. Went with a buddy after a workout. Ordered the Feisty Chicken Flat bread and a Peanut butter smoothie. The interior is clean/upbeat and service was great. Price was good (about $20 for both of us and we ordered similarly), although the flatbread was very small. Fortunately, my buddy told me about the small sizes and I supplemented my meal with a smoothie. In the end, I was full. The flatbread and smoothie were delicious! Really enjoyed the meal. The menu is hard to read and doesn't list prices for flatbreads. Also, why doesn't a flatbread come with a side? Weird. read more
