I had an awesome experience. I purchased a Groupon online since I heard about this new "float therapy" treatment and was intrigued. I've had severe back/hip/neck pain and it hinders my sleep severely. I've read reviews of people feeing more relaxed and sleeping better, so I really wanted to try it out. I also read reviews about some people getting sick so I purposely made the first morning appointment available and I came in on a (mostly) empty stomach (I drank some water beforehand). I didn't experience the "sickness" feeling so maybe my method worked? No idea, but if you're one who gets sick easily maybe try this out? Anyway, I came in early like they tell you to do on your first visit. I got a tour of the whole place-the place was more than I was actually expecting. I watched the video and eventually I was taken into my room. The lady told me what to do (earbuds, shower, get in-basically), so I did. I used the neck pillow because I was kind of nervous of falling asleep in the water, but actually the neck pillow helped get me into a more comfortable position. The whole float experience was awesome. I'm claustrophobic and I thought the pod would be too much for me, but I was actually fine in there. I didn't fall asleep, but I was still very relaxed the whole time. The music came on in the pod signifying the end, and it was time to get out & shower. Then I went into one of their other rooms to try out some nice lotions and blow dry my hair (everything is provided for you there). Finally, I went into one of their other rooms (idk the names of all these rooms lol) and drank some complimentary hot tea & decided to indulge in their oxygen bar-I wanted the FULL float spa experience. The oxygen bar was also new to me, not too much of a fan of it but I did choose a super basic scent. I would try the oxygen bar again and just choose a different scent next time. By the end of it all, I didn't want to leave. I'm looking forward to coming back real soon! Oh and the best part, I slept SO GOOD that night! read more

Facility was clean, staff was friendly...however... I would definitely choose a different location next time because the gym next door does NOT allow the peaceful, tranquil experience I went in for. The entire time in the float pod you can hear bass thumping from next door. The staff at Float Spa are forced to keep the tranquil music on the whole time which also defeats the purpose of floating. It was not a relaxing, meditative experience and therefore not worth what I paid for. I was told to come back Sunday nights when the gym is closed and try again. Love the concept, but good luck cancelling your membership. Following the terms of their contract, sent a request in October, followed up in November. No response. Went in to the Roseville location and made the cancellation in person, immediately received an email asking me to "agree" to the cancellation and wait for confirmation in 3-5 business days. Two weeks and THREE follow up emails later, nothing! I will be contacting my credit company to get this resolved but horrible customer service on TruSpa's part. Not worth the hassle! read more

My wife and I came here a couple times before our wedding to relax. I've floated before but my now wife hadn't. The staff here is amazing. They treated us so well we wouldn't think about going anywhere else to float. Floating itself is such a relaxing experience and floating in a clean, well kept facility just makes the experience that much better. If you're at all curious, do not hesitate to goto true rest and float. Even if you don't have a good experience the first time, try it again. Sensory deprivation is not comfortable for everyone, my wife didn't have a good first experience but when we came and tried again she had an amazing relaxing experience. I booked online through Yelp and was called right before I arrived that they would be unable to accommodate my booking. I booked at 9:44 AM and wasn't contacted until 11:00 AM that they would be unable to honor my reservation. They knew the tank was offline when they opened and should have contacted me immediately upon my booking the reservation if they weren't going to be able to accommodate my reservation instead of me wasting an hour driving back and forth to Roseville. read more

First time in and the staff was so welcoming. For my first visit I got a tour of the facility and then went into a room to watch a clip that explained the pod process. I loved that they kept the video very animated. It made it fun to watch. While I waited for a room they had some soothing music and abstracts to watch on the TV as well. I was taken into the pod room where they explained once again the directions. Once I got comfortable in the water I had to allow my body and mind to relax and just float. The whole reason for being there is because I was so stressed and have been going through some medical issues that had exhausted my body and mind. Once I was in total relaxation my mind drifted away into REM sleep. The only thing that woke me was the twitch in my arms but other than that I was back asleep. Once your time is up there is a shower in the same room to rinse off all the Epson salt water of the body. Before you are free to go they provide a oxygen breathing session for 10 minutes. This has been by far the most relaxing place I have ever been to. I highly recommend it and will be going back once a month. read more

This is my first time floating and it was amazing. I don't know if I actually fell asleep or what but I felt fantastic! You must arrive early for your first time where they will explain how it works. Pretty simple- you shower in your in room shower, ear plugs if you'd like (I did and the sounds of my breath actually were pretty relaxing) you hop in and can shut the pod or leave it open. I shut mine and felt no claustrophobia because the ceiling is high. The salt water will definitely point out any cuts you may have but they provide Vaseline to put on any before hand. You may keep the light on or go totally dark. The pod is really easy to open and you are only in ten inches of water. They recommend really clearing your mind so if it starts to wonder count your breaths. It was so cool how you just floated so easily- it was pure relaxation. I did the hour which was the perfect amount of time. After you shower and relax in the lounge with an oxygen bar (free first time) and tea and water. I really want to do this again! I have had a neuro immune illness that causes a lot of pain for almost four years (ME/CFS, aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, plus fibromyalgia plus hypermobility syndrome/Ehlers Danlos). I am currently in daily pain that ranges from 4-9 on a scale of 1-10, and I am in a wheelchair. I tried the float tank experience for the first time at True Rest Float Spa in Roseville, without any expectations, and was pleasantly shocked with the results. Taking my central nervous system offline for an hour took away 100% of my pain, and I experienced a calm, present state of mind afterwards which is not usually possible with my condition. The pain returned slowly after the treatment, but is still better than usual several days later. The calm state of mind persisted for about two days as well. I have spent thousands of dollars on traditional medical and alternative treatments, and this is the best treatment I have found yet. It is not cheap, yet less expensive than many other treatments I have tried (massage, energy work, acupuncture, chiropractic work, cranial sacral therapy, as well as expensive experimental drug treatments), especially if you buy a club package. Since I tend to be a bit chemically sensitive, I was concerned about the scents in use and how the concentrated epsom salts would affect my skin. There were too many perfumey scents in use for my personal preference (including the shampoo and body wash), but the epsom salts were great on my skin, and I know it's a good way to get extra magnesium into your body (via the skin), which was an added bonus. I was also very happy that they had an intercom inside the floatation tank (although I didn't need it, it assuaged my fears about potentially having trouble getting out of the pod). When I first got into the pod, my pain increased and then I had some tremors as my nervous system released years of pain and trauma. By about the 15 minute point, I was totally comfortable and pain free, it was amazing. I plan on returning for weekly float treatments, as time and money allow :). read more

It took a bit to final relax. This was my first float and I expected that to happen. By the time it was time up and I sat up.. I felt like I had had a massage, but 100x better. Typically after a massage your a bit sore. I feel like when you get massaged your muscles are being worked.. floating is 100% relaxing everything. Why a 4. This only has to do with my own issues. It just took me a bit to relax. Although I did love the experience. I actually became a member because I know it's just going to take a bit to get my body acclimated. What I loved! -First off: Aiden. Amazing. Not only was he a soothing person and genuinely happy guy, he seriously gave me the scoop. He made me feel at ease and told me everything I needed to know, everywhere from what to expect to membership packages etc. The man is a rockstar. - I loved the float water.. I know that sounds weird but it was cool. Literally perfect temperature, and it was soft.. if that can be a thing. -The environment was pretty cool. The suites are great. Oasis room is decent. Did my first float finally. Overall it wasn't that weird for a first time, very relaxing wish music would of played the entire time not just beginning and end. First timers have to arrive 30 min early which is really not necessary 15 min would be better. Room was clean and the people are nice. Mirror in float room would be nice than having to share an area to finish getting ready when you are done. Great experience though I will go back probably once a month because $80 is kinda steep. Recommend doing Groupon for first time floaters because if you don't like it you only blow $39 instead of $80. read more

This is the second time I've been here and it is an interesting and wonderful experience with a helpful, knowledgeable, and awesome staff. The environment is well kept and inviting so that you feel relaxed even before the float. This is a must for those who deal with certain chronic pain conditions. At least worth a try. This place used to be great and close to my home. It is no fault of their own but a cross fit business opened next door to them. I went in for my float and found myself being assaulted by pounding music. I could feel vibrations and it defeated the whole purpose of deprivation. It sounded like a dance club was next door. I could not get into the deep healing meditative state due to the noise. It would stop and start back up again every time I came close to going deep in meditation. Sadly it looks like I will have to try another location or a different place for deprivation therapy. I went next door immediately and complained to the cross fit manager. I asked for a schedule of their classes, hoping I could find a time around their horrible noise. According to their schedule there will be no time in which they will not be making noise. If you are in need of deep healing and peace this is no longer the spot. I hope that the owners at the spa can insulate it to make it sound proof. My heart goes out to them as I don't think they will be able to remain open. It appears another noisy establishment shall be moving in on their opposite side. read more

This was my second time in the pod, and it was even better than the first. I was able to relax and meditate much quicker than my first experience. I could actually hear and feel my spine align when the vertrabe in my neck made a quiet clicking noise. My lower back felt the best it has in months. My knee pain increased and then slowly, gradually went away. Loved It! The young woman at the front desk (I want to say her name was Taylor), went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable about being there.
