I called Guy on Sunday…read moreSunday and was surprised when he returned my call and set me up for an appointment to repair our 19-year-old whirlpool refrigerator that had stopped working when we moved it out to our garage after getting a new GE refrigerator last week. Guy stated that he thought it was probably the relay for the compressor and got our model number. As promised, Guy called me Monday afternoon right on time and advised me he would be at our home in 20 minutes. Guy's diagnosis was correct and he had our refrigerator up and running literally in less than 20 minutes. Within an hour it was cooling at 42 degrees. I would highly recommend Guy and Sun City Appliance Service to anyone needing appliance repairs. Our bills for parts and labor was only $129 and the trip charge is deducted if you hire Guy to do the work. Unbelievably smart, professional, honest, and extremely reasonably priced.

Actually, the white substance came from something hot sitting next to it and melted the knob. You probably ask, "how can that be with a new, metal knob?" Actually that was my exact question. News flash: The knob was made out of plastic. It looks like stainless steel and you could not tell for how much we paid for the stove top that it was plastic. However, all those knobs are plastic. Fortunately, Steven tracked down two of the knobs...we replaced one and have one in reserve. I suppose it's no different than the evolution of cars. We went from cars made from steel to cars made from fiberglass. There is even plastic in car interiors these days. Many high-end cars no longer have leather. It's called other things but is faux leather (vegan leather, sustainable leather, vinyl leather and pleather). Many cars have "vegan" versions of expensive materials like wood and leather. The knob has been replaced. The stove top is back to it's original state. Steve always performs at a very high level and we have been pleased with his service.

Technician schedule @1-5 PM 08/25/23 Settings at the time upper setting thirty-seven actual forty-seven, lower 03 actual nineteen reading. 8/25/23 GE/Service Unit not working. Cleaned out coil and said that should fix it. 8/26/23 Unit stopped working Second time. After the repair. Was operating for 35 hours. Called Tru Blue Warranty called the second time. Tru Blue ordered a new compressor with other parts. Arrived at my hours over 5 days and three different boxes, with no invoice to let me know all the parts were here. 8/27/23 GE/Same guy came out to change all the parts that were here, and it was running for about 30 hours and stopped. GE Claim# 070054629 9/15/23 12:30 PM Called Tru Blue Warranty Unit not working and is tripping off the GFI. Reset GFI and hour later ripped the GFI a second time. 9/18/23 talked to Fergusion and advised them of the performance of their warranty company, they were going to investigate it. So far, no response. 9/19/23 The technician, not from GE, but was scheduled by Tru Blue, showed up at 11:30 AM, worked for an hour and said he had checked everything and left at 12:30PM. 2:00 PM unit set of GFI again. 9/19/23 Called Tru Blue Warranty (Josh) On Hold 45 minutes. They are sending out another technician from GE this time on 9/25/23. Asked to talk to a supervisor and ended call. The supervisor has not returned my call. 9/25/23 10:30 AM GE, new guy came out. And called GE and unit is non repairable. I should get a call withing 24 to 48 hours. 9/27/23 8:00 AM Called True blue again and their computer system was down, and they are checking on it. And then received an email stating it would take 5 days to review. I still don't have a working refrigerator.

He also told me we had a 1 year warranty. About a week after the fix, the fridge is still leaking. I reach out to Ben multiple times, nothing. Finally get a response that he's been in the hospital but if I defrost my fridge, that'll probably fix it. Fair enough, people get sick, thanks for the response. So now I've defrosted my fridge twice, in the process throwing out good food. That didn't work either. Reach out to Ben again - nothing. I call, I text, I text again, I call again, I leave a voicemail...nothing. I finally decide to call him from my work phone and SURPRISE he answers on the first call. He schedules me for last Friday but gets "stuck in Bee Cave". Then asks me to send him pictures of the fridge model sticker so he can order the parts. I've done that, followed up now another 5 times via text and calls...nothing. I guess I'm on his do not respond list bc he doesn't want to fix the issue that we've already paid him $400 for but at this point I'm just going to pay someone else who will actually answer their phone to come clean up the mess. We have had a HORRIBLE experience with John's appliance and repair…read more We had a new washer delivered, and the rental management company that takes care of our rental property hired John's appliance to move the new unit up the stairs, replace the old washing machine unit with the new one, and repair the belt of our dryer, and to replace the broken water collection tray under the units. The first time they came out, Alex and another young man spilled stagnate water all over the carpet on my stairs and living room floor without offering to clean it up. The house smelt like sewage for the rest of the day. They needed a part for the dryer, so they were unable to fix it at that time. However, the next day when trying to run a load, we discovered the new washing machine shook and danced around the laundry room with the dryer on top of it. The dryer almost fell on my daughter, who tried to stop it and would have if she hadn't screamed, causing me to run up the stairs just in time. The SECOND they came back out, Alex replaced the belt on the dryer and "leveled" the Washer. Alex was rushing to leave, but I asked him to stay for a load to see if it worked. I made the mistake of not putting any clothing in for the test, and it looked okay; I told him it might run differently with the weight of a load in it, but he was in such a hurry that I let him go. When we tried to run an actual load, it danced and tried to shake off the washer again. Again we told the management company, and this time we immediately texted Alex too. He asked me to take a picture of the back, but I couldn't at the moment, and then he ghosted me (like in other reviews) for multiple days. After the management company contacted John, they were promised to send someone out either that night or the following day to fix the issue. That Monday, Alex said he would come by the next day and get it fixed. He said he "forgot to take the shipping screws out" On Wednesday, after several attempts by myself and the management company, we finally got ahold of them, and Alex said he would come by. When he arrived the THIRD time, Alex still did not have the replacement tray and gave me attitude when I questioned him about it. After about five minutes of working on the washing machine, he was leaving and about to head out the door when I asked him... "Hey, can you please stay until I run a load, so we can ensure it runs properly like you had agreed to with the management company?" That set him off, and he raised his voice and said, "Why are you acting like I didn't stay the last time?" "You did stay the last time, but the management company already talked to you guys about staying this time, so we can make sure it is working." He rolled his eyes, and we went back up the stairs. I said, "I'm sorry; I'm a little frustrated because you have been telling me every day this week that you were going to show up and then ghosted me when it came time to do the job." "I never said I was going to come to fix this." He replied "Would you like me to show you the text messages you sent me?" I asked "YOu know what Im out of here!" He yelled and left. I called the management company and told them what had happened. They called John's appliance.... It turns out that he did get the washer working, but he did not connect the dryer exhaust to the hose, so the hot air gets put outside. The management company says he will come back. He comes back, but he does not say a word to me. I direct him to the problem. After about ten minutes, he starts to leave again. "Are you finished?' I ask "Yeah," he says as he exits the door. I decided to check his work. The picture below is what he left us with. While I'm taking the picture, my wife went out to stop him. I don't know exactly what was said, but he said that's the best job he can do and called my wife crazy. KEEP IN MIND The picture included with this review is the "BEST" they can do. I am completely appalled by our experience.

I needed to have my Samsung gas dryer converted to liquid propane. I thought it was something my…read morehusband could handle but he decided to bow out gracefully. I had the conversion kit on hand, and Alex came out to perform the conversion. After he left I used the dryer and noticed a burning smell. I thought maybe it was just from not being used for a couple weeks during our move or just simply just the new parts that he had installed. I've now ran the dryer three different times with nothing in it and the burning smell is awful and getting Worse. I reached out to Alex, who tried to tell me that the burning smell is normal. And said that he could come out in five days to look at it. But if he felt it was operating normally he would have to charge me another service call fee. I do NOT recommend this business. I've decided to reach out to an entirely different appliance company. One that is reputable and will stand behind their work and at least make an effort to remedy.
