OMG! What a hidden gem! Fresh (not frozen) vegetables, delicious sticky rice desserts, great Thai iced coffee, and all of our dishes came out piping hot, letting us know it was freshly prepared. The service was friendly and warm, and the restaurant is simple, but clean and comfortable (not too hot or cold). This is a good place for people who are new to Thai food or for people who have been to Thailand and want dishes that are more authentic and difficult to find (KHAO SOI!!!). Ordered the chive dumplings (vegan) and they were really tasty! We ordered the Rama stir fry with tofu and pad woomasen tofu noodles and both were excellent. The peanut sauce was perfect, with a hint of spice. Everything was cooked just right and it's the best Thai food I've ever found in the suburbs. Restaurant was very vegetarian/vegan friendly, asking if egg was okay to be in our dishes. Super friendly, taking covid precautions seriously we'll definitely be back! read more

We are picky about our Thai food, will drive far for good thai, but we won't have to anymore, because Tuay Thai is amazing! Their prices are on par with the other Thai restaurants in the area, it is BYOB, which is great, and our server was wonderful! The portions were generous, and the spice levels were perfect, when you ask for hot spice, prepare to sweat (in a good way). The best part, the food wasn't overly sweetened like many of the other thai places around. We will be back often! read more

Tuay Thai is an absolute gem tucked away in a little shopping center behind a Starbucks. After my first visit here I stopped going to any other Thai/Asian restaurants because the food here is that good. I'm almost embarrassed to say I eat here weekly (sometimes twice....). I usually struggle to decide between the Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, and Thai Fried Rice. All of the flavors are balanced and rich, even the fried rice is unlike any I've ever made for myself. On top of that the girls who work here are absolute dolls who put in long hours and are always so happy and understanding. I love this place. My girlfriend and I actively worry about moving too far away from Tuay Thai. If you're eating in, it's a really small, cute, cozy little place. I usually order for takeout because I live close by. Not many places make me even think about leaving a review, but after having the absolute best crab Rangoon I've ever had and some amazingly tender shumai, I took 1 sip out of my Tom Kha with shrimp order and I was immediately in love. It was a deliciously fragrant coconut lime broth, and the fresh vegetables added to it took it over the top. At first I was a bit concerned with the amount of fresh onion added to the dish since I'm not the biggest fan of onion, but it proved to be perfect and just what the dish needed. The cook clearly knows what they are doing and has an amazing talent preparing these dishes with care and attention. I sampled the dishes my friends were having and they were all so rich in flavor to the point we asked for extra small bowls to share our own dishes. You can't go wrong with anything you order. I live over an hour away and you bet I will be bringing more friends and family all the way over here. I absolutely must try more dishes. It is family owned and run and they are incredibly sweet and attentive to your needs. read more

This family run restaurant has the friendliest servers in the SW burbs! If you don't leave here smiling, then you are a tough hombre. The food is excellent. Soups are really tasty on a cold snowy day. I am partial to Basil Chicken and they don't disappoint. This restaurant changed owners several months ago and these new owners know hospitality! We went here last night on a whim. What a great surprise! It was very very good. I had the shrimp Pad Thai and my wife had the Goong Ob Woon Sen. We also had the Chive Dumpling appetizer, and I had a hot ginger tea. Everything was great. The seating area is minimalist and very clean. Our sever could not have been nicer. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE. We went there for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was empty except for an old couple. We ordered the Tom yum noodle soup with seafood (14.99), broccoli beef (9.99), Panang chicken (9.99), and potstickers (5.99). The food was entirely below mediocre. For the Tom yum noodle soup they used freezer burnt shrimp and octopus. The octopus was chewy and tasted bad. The broth was not fresh and off taste so we sent it back to the kitchen. The beef used in broccoli and beef was low quality cheap cut. When we got the check we were surprised to see they did not take off the charge for Tom yum noodle soup. They insisted that we don't know what the noodle soup is supposed to taste like. If you like low quality ingredients, small portions, and bad service, this is the place to go. read more

I LOVE this place! I agree with everyone else - the food is delicious and the people who run it are so so sweet! I eat here once or twice a week now and have tried many dishes and all of them have been delicious. Watch the heat though...runs spicy but when you tell them how you like it they deliver! The only non positive comment I can make is on the take out orders; this is the second time my take out order has been noticeably small. The in house portions have always been so generous, as have some of the take out, but it's so disappointing to open the box and see a portion that looks half full. Hopefully they will get that straightened out. Still 5 starts for sure! read more

Not many Thai places to choose from in the area but this one is a hidden gem. We went because a referral from a friend and really enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and the food very good.
