Fast, friendly, not greasy over battered fish n chips. It's been quite a while since I last had tug boat fish n chips. I was pleasantly surprised. They added a couple of onion rings on top of my fish n chip order. The gentleman who took my order even refilled my 2 pink lemonades that were to go. I was just so thirsty while waiting for my order and I guzzled both of them down. Lol It's a small little shop. Looks like it might be a mom n pop shop. This cute little place has better fish and chips than most of the fancy restaurants I have been to. The batter is flaky and cooked just right. The meat is tender and moist. I almost thought about ordering some to go. Had to stop myself. I will definitely be back, even though I live all the way in Folsom. It's family owned and they are super nice. You can tell they take pride in their little cafe. It's decorated very nice and its very clean. We were greeted right away, they refilled my soda, and gave us a sample of the fried bananas. I was bowled over impressed by this Korean owned small fish-chippy joint that is casual in every sense of the word. Folks have kiwi friends who swear by this quality of fish, and everything is done right. yes, I've had the UK fish/chips, with the mushy peas and the vinegar and the newspaper-wrapped fillets....I am well-acquainted with it. Here in the US, fillets tend to come smaller in portion...the order board seemed to be on our table, everything from fried oysters to the diffrent kinds of fish sold. Catfish was offered, as well as cod, of course. The quality of the fish was surprisingly wonderful. Light breading offered a crispiness throughout; inside, the texture of the fish meat was firm, not fishy, and moist. Great experience. Owner was very kind and gave us a basket of fried bananas, de gratis. If you blinked, you'd miss this small place on a very busy, non-uniform expressway that is Fair Oaks. My Granddaughter and I stopped by for lunch after being disappointed that another restaurant we wanted to try was not open. She got the Kid's 5 mini piece meal and I got the 2 piece meal. The service was exquisite - very friendly and helpful. The meal arrived at our outside table within a few minutes. The fish was amazing - light batter and excellent tasting. It was the best I've ever had. The meals came with chips that were average and what appeared to be very good onion rings (neither of us like onion rings). Came here last week, during all this COVID-19 stuff going on. Came in and was greeted right away and very friendly. Ordered a two piece with hush puppies instead of fries and a side of coleslaw. They had hand sanitizer and stuff out in a table which was nice to see during this stuff going on. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and accommodating, they hooked it up on the food, it was hot, tasted fresh and hushpuppies and coleslaw were good. Small place but big taste and flavor and good value, I also added a Snapple drink and it was all under $15, I probably ate half and ate the other half later for dinner so good value for all that I received. Will definitely be back, I'm pretty picky on tartar sauce, there's is good, I'd add just a litte more dill to it and it would be 11/10. Still very good and the fish and batter are great, I could eat the hushpuppies all day long! Heard good things about the calamari so will try that next time. read more

There's cocktail sauce, ketchup and tartar sauce for your to use. There is also vinegar on the table. If you sit down and eat there, they will also give you some fried banana for dessert on the house. The workers there are super friendly and refills your drinks for you. Another one compared to tugboats in Carmichael. The staff is fast and friendly. And they give you plenty of food and they are also fair price. The fish is nice crispy and will cooked. I couldn't believe how much food they gave me for the price. I recommend this place to all of my family and friends. It is absolutely delicious and it does not break the bank.
