I got taken out for Mother's Day. We had reservations at Tupelo Honey. One of my favorite places to go. I ordered the shrimp and grits. He ordered the plain French toast. Everything was delicious.

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar is a reliable go-to when we're in the mood for comforting Southern food done right. Our must-order starters are the fried Brussels sprouts and the pimento cheese and chip dip. Wish there was more consistency in the tortilla chips as the restaurant made ones with honey dusting are superior to their store bought version. For mains, the smothered chicken is the standout. We much prefer it over the bone-in fried chicken--the pieces are juicier and more flavorful compared to the fried large bone-in chicken breast, which can be a bit less exciting. Go for the hot honey bird if you want a kick. The biscuits are a bit dry and A-OK - the butter and jam makes it taste better. If you're in the mood for something sweet with cinnamon and fall/winter spices, then sweet potato pancakes is a good option. The best value is coming during happy hour, though the offerings change periodically, so it's worth checking what's available. The restaurant is located right in the heart of Market Common, with free street parking and nearby lots, making it an easy and enjoyable stop overall.

Can we say..... Yummy! From the drinks to the breakfast for dinner. Everyone is so nice and southern! I had never had chicken and waffles before! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The flight of drinks made this just such a comfortable place to hang out and talk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

There mocktails are not alcohol free which was very disappointing, and they didn't have ANY draft beer available. The food was good everything had a kick to it which was a little unexpected but still good! The server was very kind and sweet to us.

Way better than the one in Pittsburgh. Should probably send everyone down here to learn how to cook the recipes. The Appalachian Shine-tini was very good. The chicken waffles was good, but would be even better with dark meat. The classic bloody Mary was a no go. They should try some zing zang Bloody Mary mix. Dinner was good. The chicken Poblano soup was tasty. We waited on the banana pudding, but it was not to our liking. James did a great job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Relaxed atmosphere that got busy before we left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came for happy hour and was highly impressed by the prices and selection. I've been before but never for happy hour. We started with the pimento dip (will discuss below) and the crispy Brussels. The crispy Brussels were perfectly cooked and the red pepper coulee was so good. As I mentioned, we've been before and absolutely loved the pimento dip, however tonight that was the only thing we were disappointed with. It was store bought tortilla chips rather than seasoned fresh ones as last time and tasted more like canned queso rather than the pimento dip we had last time. Entrees we got: smothered chicken with potatoes-The potatoes were huge chunks and the chicken was to die for! Salmon with collards-salmon was perfectly cooked and the collards were tasty and cooked well. Braised pork with fried okra- country style pork was tasty and the fried okra was fresh and not slimy. We also got the sweet potato pancake and it was the perfect sweet way to close out the meal! Drinks were good and we will definitely be new happy hour regulars

Wanted something off the beaten path, after a day of beach time. Tupelo Honey did not disappoint. We got there just in time for happy hour meal specials and those were a GREAT deal. Our food was freshly prepared but still came fairly quickly. Our server was sweet and attentive, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor here is just like sitting on Memaw's front porch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This will now be on repeat when we're in the area!

Still hands down my favorite restaurant/brunch spot. The Smothered Chicken* and Parmesan Crispy Potatoes are as good as ever. It's hard switching it up going here when you know something is so good! Decided to try their new Blue(berry) Ridge Mountains Cold Brew and I thought it was delicious! Great hint of vanilla, coffee, and blueberry. If you're looking for some amazing eats, I highly recommend this place!

Pumpkin bisque and frozen pumpkin spice French 75

I sat at the bar and got the frozen pumpkin spice French 75 and a small bowl of the pumpkin bisque. The frozen pumpkin spice French 75 is what caught my eye as I was walking by and pulled me in. It was unfortunately a little underwhelming in the flavor, but met expectations with the liquor (no skimping on that). It was a little touch to drink as shown in the picture out of a martini glass/coupe, so I asked for a straw. French 75s are usually served in a champagne glass, and not drank through a straw, nor frozen, so everything about the drink was just extremely unique. The pumpkin bisque was really good. Good flavor! It was on the warmer side, not really hot, when served. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy.

I had a wonderful experience at Tupelo Honey during their happy hour, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, vibrant flavors that made every bite a delight.

Just WOW! I've lived in the market common area for 2 years and have never tried this place. I'm not sure why, but I regret not coming here sooner. My son and I sat outside. The hostess carried a highchair with her so I didn't have to wait for one at the table, which was nice. I had a cereal martini which was spectacular. I wish I would have gotten it as my second drink since it was sweeter, but omg it was so good. I also got the jalapeño/tequila Bloody Mary with was good. I'm not a huge Bloody Mary fan, but this one sounded good and it did not disappoint! For food, my son got a side of mac and cheese and fries. Both were delicious and I ate a lot of it. I got the lunch special for $12.99 that included half a sandwich and a side or soup. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of collard greens and Brussel sprouts. The sandwich was amazing, I wish I would have gotten a full sandwich. The chicken was so crunchy, soft and juicy. 10 out of 10. The collard greens were good, but they weren't my style. I prefer a vinegar style collard green and these seem to be on the sweeter side, but they were still good. The Brussel sprouts were soft, crispy and salty. Nothing special but good if you like Brussel sprouts! Service was kinda slow, but my server was super sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My son and I enjoyed the food, drinks, and patio. We will be back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Over the years I've gotten pretty familiar with their menu which precludes me from my more usual, detailed review. To the point...Croissants is and always has been a five star place for me across the board for food, service, ambience, and everything and anything else in between. Trust me. If you come to MB eat here. You'll thank me later Bon appétit.

I was standing there for about 8 minutes and no one said a word to me. I asked people at the kiosk if I order something with them and they said I order at the register. So was a few more minutes until someone asked what I wanted to order. There was a lot of employees so Im not sure why it takes so long to address or acknowledge a customer. -Lemon tart-This taste is more like vanilla custard with a hint of lemon as if they literally just put some lemon zest in there and call it a lemon tart. I ate the custard part and threw the shell away. Pass on this one. ($5.95) -Cannoli cream macaron- cookie was raw in the middle, didnt' taste anything like cannoli. ($2) -Irish cream macaron-was fully baked but wasn't that great ($2) -Egg bacon cheese croissant sandwich was ok The egg was kind of like a omelette texture.
