Been here thrice since it has opened and both were decent experiences. I got huevos rancheros each time with no meat or cheese. Twice the dish was made correctly and everything was nice. Once they messed the dish up once and then when it came out, there was some meat in there. The manager assured us it would be taken off the bill though so it was fine I suppose. Something I like about this place is the options in drinks, they have iced green tea which is rare and I always will order. The service is always friendly and never rushed although they can get busy. Overpriced - The food was ok and the waitress was attentive, even though we sat on an outside table. However, the value is just not good compared to other locations. For example I ordered a regular lemonade which was $4.50 a glass. Not even a large glass and no free refills. Even Cheesecake Factory (hardly a bargain to eat at) gives you free refills for their $5 lemonade and puts it in a big glass. My wife added. This is actually a single waffle and came to about $11 topped with a couple of tiny pieces of fruit. It would have been $2 extra to enjoy real maple syrup with the waffle. I've been here five or six times now and I really, really, really like it. The menu is extensive and inventive. I have only done breakfast/brunch there, but I would love to give lunch a try sometime as well. The skillets are great.. The potatoes are tasty... The coffee is always fresh. Everyone that I have taken there has always has a good experience. Now let's talk about why this place did not get 5 stars because based on food and menu alone, it deserves it. On two occasions, when I have gone early in the morning, there has been a garbagy odor that I've smelled in the restaurant. My guess would be that they take the garbage out in the morning and since the place closes early in the afternoon, it sits for a while. That is a change that the staff could DEFINITELY make. The second has to do with one of our visits there. We went on Halloween morning, and the wait staff was all dressed up. Awesome, right? Most of them had tasteful light makeup on. It was festive and fun... Except for one of their staff. One of their male waitstaff had done his makeup to make it look like his face was being unzipped exposing the tissue underneath it. Thankfully, he was not our waiter or I would have asked for a different server. Honestly, I am all for Halloween fun but I don't really think the makeup was appropriate for a morning breakfast place where your goal is to feed people's appetites. Very pleased so far with this new breakfast restaurant. Actually, they are more than breakfast, but that's what I've had during my 6 visits there so far. Food was good and the service was great! I got the Big Easy Benedict and it was amazing, the person I was with had pancakes and bacon and they were just ok. We had a very bad experience. Family connected here for brunch and we only had about 90 minutes. Many tables were un-bussed and the coffee counter was a disaster. We put in a to-go order because we had limited time and they were very busy. Our to-go order was supposed to take 20 minutes but instead it took 40. My dad's food never arrived when the other orders came out. I told the receptionist multiple times about the issue and she said "it would be right out" but it never came. Eventually i told her we were leaving and that the food had never arrived. She said "oh... huh... I'm so sorry" and made no effort to correct the mistake or reimburse us for the phantom eggs benedict. My poor dad had to drive home hungry! The rest of our meals were very mediocre. The place is very clearly disorganized and the staff are totally overwhelmed, these folks need to get their act together. read more

We had a great experience at Turning point. We were able to be put on the waitlist prior to arriving to the restaurant. There is a outdoor sitting area in the front of the restaurant which is great on a nice day. Inside there is a beautiful sunroom with plenty of great light. Now let's talk about the food and drinks! My husband was a big fan of the candied bacon! He also ordered the shrimp hash and I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with no meat. They were able to substitute the sausages for mushrooms and other veggies. It was so flavorful! The only thing I didn't enjoy is the soft tortilla for my dish. I wish they had a crunchy tortilla to help with the texture. But overall it was delicious! read more

I absolutely love coming here the food is fantastic the service is always impeccable but unfortunatly they go by a waitlist system vs a reservation system. You put your name in online and it tells you what place you are in line and when to arrive, however it becomes flawed after that. when you show up to check in at the restaurant they take you off the waitlist but you still have to wait 15-45 min. Last time I was here I had to wait 35 min after checking in even though I had already been waiting for an hour on the list. Great place but if you are on a time crunch for any reason or have other plans I wouldnt recommend eating here on the weekends. I cannot stress how great of a place this is but they need a better system when it comes to seating arrangements. read more

So went to Turning Point today after Church for breakfast/brunch. Was disappoint. I expected the wait from trying to get in the before so that was not an issue. The Positives, happy they actually had vegan pancakes and dairy alternatives for coffee. The negatives, had to ask for utensils, even after we were seated and the waitress attended to us. When she brought the coffee, the cup was dirty and had to send that back. Maybe it was from the dishwasher but that's something that should be obvious when selecting the cup. The make matters worst, my wife's meal was cold. Had to send that back as well. Definitely not a good experience there today. Won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

They can't seem to get it right first time I came I dined in there was hair in my food got it remade don't get me wrong it was good so I brushed the experience off. Second time I come I place an order to go they forgot my cornbread for all 3 orders of my shrimp and grits had to drive 25 mins back. Better modern diner around the Newark Area. The wait seems like it's due to the hype of the opening, the food and service was sub par. The assortment of coffees and juice was very nice and unique. The pancakes looked dry and average so we diverted from ordering them. The waffles looks amazing. I highly recommend the Big Easy Benedict! Using cornbread as the English muffin bottom was amazing, the sweet bread with the greasy and fatty avocado and cheese with some grilled onions and peppers was amazing. Also fyi if your going after a long night of drinking I highly recommend the RoadHouse Bacon Stack, a perfect greasy bacony hangover sandwich. I wouldn't recommend the Low Country Shrimp Hash Bowl, they should just call it Hash in a bowl because their is no shrimp in existence. The service could be a lot better but i believes it's because it's so new and they haven't gotten their groove yet. The floor manager on the other hand was rude to customers and employees. I'd highly recommend the chicken and waffles whether you're eating breakfast or lunch. It has such a delicious flavor overall! I ordered a western omelet which was pretty basic (not sure if I'd get it again). We also had a chocolate strawberry pancake. My favorite part about it was the strawberry syrup served with it on the side. So delicious to dip the pancake into it! I liked that when we got the French press coffee they served our mugs with a little brown crystalized sugar stick - this was something unique to this restaurant and it was nice. read more

I have to start this review by saying my expectations of this place were high based on the reviews. The wife and I went here on a Sunday morning. It was the typical busy Sunday breakfast crowd you would find at any diner. We were immediately seated but it took out waitress about 10 minutes to come acknowledge us. The first thing I noticed were the dirty glasses that were on our table. Im not talking about someones used glasses. Im talking about cloudy glasses for us to drink water from. For starters, we both got iced coffees to drink. I asked for a vanilla iced coffee and I was brought out my own syrup to make my own. I thought this was pretty weird. The coffee itself had a strong acidic taste to it. I ordered the apple caramel French toast. The wife got a skillet. It took about 20-25 minutes before our food came out. It seemed like everyone sitting around us was experiencing the long wait for their food as well. The French toast came out and it looked like Eggos French toast with canned apples on it. It was OK. The description on the menu far exceeded the presentation in person. The wife said her skillet was ok but it was lacking flavor. In summary, it was a basic breakfast with a very long wait. I visited this place in August of 2019 and I couldn't have been more disappointed on my first visit. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is friendly but the food is.... Well, I'm not sure! To be honest, I never ended up trying the food. We sat down and placed our order. the first problem was they were out of potatoes for hash browns. Their substitute for this was a salad. Im not normally opposed to eating a salad, but I am opposed to eating it for breakfast. I came here to get a fantastic meal with zero health reservations. We decided to get a different meal but the waitress came back only to tell us they were out of that as well. So, we ended up ordering just eggs and a cold brew coffee. The cold brew is a pretty clever creation, They drop a frozen coffee ice cube into a dry glass. Unfortunately the glass had old chunky coffee clumps attached to the inside of the glass, so I opted out of that and ordered a water. The straw that broke the camels back was the small pieces of glass in the bottom of our glass. There were two small pieces in the bottom of the water glass we received and the waitress was completely clueless. In her defense, I wouldn't know what to say either. There really isn't any explanation that can be given for this... Ultimately we ended up cancelling the order and left. We have a pretty bitter taste in our mouths about this place thus far, However; We may try another visit at a later time and maybe the review will be better. We can only wait and see. read more

I rsvp for today, Father's Day at 11:30am, and arrived at 11:25am. I was told by the hostess that she checked us in and we will have to wait 20 minutes to be called in. What was the point of rsvp if we still had to wait 20 extra minutes? Therefore I asked the hostess if our rsvp wasn't there and she said it's here but you still have to wait so she got my information; name and phone number which led me to believe that we were never on the rsvp list. They sent me a text that we were checked in, and I viewed the webpage. The webpage stated that we are 20th in line, and the we will be seated between 12:40-1pm. It was frustrating, what was the point of rsvp if the table wouldnt be ready? What was the point of leading us on to believe we will wait 20 minutes for a table? This restaurant need to be more organize, better communication amongst their staff, and better customer service. Will not recommend this place nor come back here again. P.S We ate here before and the food was okay, nothing fancy, it is not that delicious if their customer service sucks and not unorganized. read more

Woke up on Sunday wanting to try a new place near me so I hopped on here looking. I found this place and it looked like it was worth a try. We arrived around 2:00pm on a Sunday and it was super busy and with the restrictions I knew I would have to wait a little bit. I was told it was a 45 minute wait and I figured I had nothing else to do so I waited out in my car. But by the time I got seated with my boyfriend it was almost a 90 minute wait which was kinda crazy but again it's Sunday prime time so I was just happy to have been seated. The interior is very bright and airy in a newly built building and decorated tastefully. We then start looking at the menu and realize it's going to be really hard to choose just one thing. So we first decided on our drink orders which was a campfire latte and peanut butter hot chocolate, both were delicious. Then we decided to split the entree of O.M.G. French Toast as an appetizer and we destroyed it in less then 5 minutes because it was so good. Then my boyfriend got the Low Country Shrimp Hash bowl and I got the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. My boyfriend loved his dish and said the flavors were awesome and he could eat the chorizo gravy everyday. My eggs Benedict was such a weird combination with the pickled onions but together it was amazing. Both of our dishes did come out kind of cold which was a little off putting but we were so hungry at that point we didn't care and the food still tasted great. Our waitress was very attentive and personable and didn't miss anything. Overall it was a decent first experience just a couple things that made me give it 4 stars instead of 5 but maybe a return will bring them redemption for this review! read more

Wherever you are make a turn and get to Turning Point for breakfast! Opened recently at Christiana Fashion Center for breakfast and lunch. The interior is bright and welcoming. We were greeted immediately with a friendly smile and a welcome. Hailey, our server, was prompt, very friendly and made some recommendations since it was our first time. The Grand French Toast is definitely grand. It is customizable if you so choose. I added caramel to mine. Fluffy battered brioche bread dipped in batter with just a hint of vanilla. It is melt in your mouth delicious. Can't decide which pancakes you want, try a "flight". You pick three so you can sample everything that your taste buds are screaming for. The rancheros breakfast I recently had was great and had a really good green salsa to go with it. My friend ate their eggs benedict before I could remember to get a photo ha! The drinks are just okay- they have this new purple rain drink and the server said they've received some complaints (can't recall what). I had a strawberry milkshake that was fine, not very cold for a milkshake though. I have been to the turning point restaurants in NJ and love them. They have a solid menu and execute very well. This morning I went to the Turning Point in Delaware expecting the same level of experience. They put us in the back room that was 80+ degrees and sat us at a booth up against the windows. The shades were up and it was upwards of 90 degrees with the sun beaming everyone in the face. When I asked that they bring the shade down they told me that that's all the shade goes down which is clearly BS as there is plenty of slack. We tried to tough it out but was unbearable for my pregnant wife. When I told the waitress that it was too hot and that we would like to cancel the order and leave, without a care or possibly even to move us to a different table she said ok and that was it. I'm willing to give them another shot when I visit the NJ but I will not be visiting the Delaware restaurant again. If I could give a zero, I would. read more

The food and drinks were very good and the interior of the place was very nice and well designed. The staff was friendly and very inviting. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is only because of the prices. The place is very expensive for a breakfast place which breakfast is normally on the cheaper end, but dont let that steer you away it's well worth the price and we plan on coming back when I'm feeling boujee. read more
