I've been to another Turning Point in another state several times but stopped going because the service began to suffer majorly(even after we were given a free meal to come back we refused to because it had trended so poorly), so when I saw this location open recently a little closer to home we were hesitant but decided to give it a shot for my wife's birthday breakfast. I was glad we did. The location is in what seems like a new(er) shopping center in Christians and is a much bigger and airier location than the previous location I went to. We were immediately greeted and sat with our order being taken within a few minutes. My son ordered one of the new fruit and vegetable juices and the server gave him other options because she had a feeling he wouldn't like beet juice (thank you!). I ordered their southern chicken and waffles with lightly crisped and spicy boneless fried chicken breast topped with Craisins, walnuts and their awesome gravy. Topped with warmed maple syrup it was absolutely amazing. As an appetizer we had their bacon lollipops which are thick cut pieces of cooked bacon wrapped around a soft warm apple slice topped with caramel and brown sugar...drool. Wife has a Benedict which were good as well. I considered the French press coffee but opted for their regular iced coffee and it was great. I can't believe i'm the first to review but i'm happy I am! My husband and I have been waiting for this to open. Driving by at least once a week until we finally saw the we're open sign! Beautiful atmosphere and such a comfortable home feeling. Walking in we were greeted at the door as if we were walking into our friends home. I just had the absolute worst experience at the Christiana restaurant on July 18th and I didn't even get food. I called ahead for a table of 4, which had a 45-60 min wait. We showed up with 20-30 minutes left to wait. I checked in at front and was told there was 3 ppl ahead of us. After 15-20 minutes went by, I went up to front again and sure enough my reservation in line was deleted even though we were sitting inside right near counter. They did apologize and told me it would be another 10-15 minutes and then proceeded to continue sitting other people. I just want to note that me, my husband, my 4 year old daughter, and my infant son sat there for another 15 minutes without being seated and just now left. Came into this new establishment with 8 other people (9 total) and had an unusual wait time. Unusual in the fact that the staff did not know how long it would take to sit us. While waiting 45 minutes and watching all other parties get seated we asked again and got the same clueless answer. A lot of attitude from the hostess came along with the experience as well. Second time we waited longer than the wait time given by a good amount and then were charged for the wrong bill in the end. And I had to call back to get it all situated for us getting the wrong bill. Then the third time I Was told there would be a 30 minute wait, ended up sitting in my car for 80 minutes total. I'll give it two stars because the food when finally served was actually good. Almost an hour to be seated was fine, however once seated we were met with one disappointment after another. We had a large party so we were seated in the back. Another large party was seated next to us and we were so close we should've just been seated altogether! When she did, she proceeded to tell us most if not all of the popular menu items weren't available because they sold out the day before. 40-60 minutes for food to be served, and half the order had been forgotten. Overall, our lunch was good. Two of us ordered salads. Both were fresh. The third order was to be a Wilbur Skillet. My friend questioned why there wasn't avacado and the waitress kindly brought some to our table. When we received the bill, it turns out it was the western omelette she received. That answered why it didn't come in a skillet and why there were onions and red pepper in it. I would have thought the waitress would have picked up on that, but evidently she had no idea. ESPECIALLY during a pandemic, they don't take shit from customers with unrealistic expectations, and the managers politely redirect people to wait outside to protect everyone. i love the menu revamps, especially the vegan options. the food is always great, and my experience has never been less than stellar. one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area. do yourself a favor and join the waitlist on yelp on weekends before you head out, otherwise you're looking at an hour wait, at least, and there's a reason for it. read more

Told her I wanted fried eggs and they came out scrambled, my boyfriends eggs were supposed to be over easy and they came out fried hard (which was very apparent even without cutting into the egg). The espresso drinks are very sugary, probably going to get the French press if we return. Got the country shrimp skillet, the shrimp was very low quality, wasn't properly cleaned and WAY over cooked. I've been waiting to visit Turning Point for a while and it was overall a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful and makes you feel like you are at home! The only concern during my visit was that it took over 5 minutes for someone to greet us at the front to get seated. Also, it took 15-20 minutes for our avacado toast appetizer to come out. The food though was 10/10! I ordered the Bourbon Walnut Banana Cakes and they melted in my mouth! Their coffee is also amazing! The menu is a bit pricy but defiantly worth it! read more

This place is clean and filled with natural light. Two of the diners in our party felt it smelled badly, but the rest of us did not notice that. The service was satisfactory. I sent my soup back twice (more on that later), and it came back promptly. Now, about the food. It was along the lines of an Appleby's or Denny's, chain diner-like. At first I ordered wild rice soup, which arrived as thick as a pudding, over-salted and barely lukewarm. I switched to tomato bisque, which also was lukewarm and was as dark as chili. Bisque by definition is a soup that contains cream, which it did not. I also ordered a chop chop salad, just OK. Another diner was impressed by the vegetarian sausage offering, but it arrived burnt. Another diner ordered the most standard breakfast offering - a breakfast combo - and felt the food was lukewarm, home fries were hard cubes of potatoes and the meal was under-seasoned. Our final diner ordered bacon grilled cheese and felt the description was all wrong. The sandwich was not grilled, it was a BLT club, with an extra piece of bread in the middle. The kale juice was the star of the show, and the only dish we unanimously enjoyed. In summation, Turning Point is just that, the point at which you should turn back and go home. read more

We had 2 small ice teas- no offer for refills and with tip the bill was $41+. I was served 3 cold petrified pieces of bacon; my husband got 2 sausages. He said they were much better than the bacon. The cost for both of those meats was almost $9.00. The potatoes were cold, highly seasoned so much so the salt made them inedible. English muffins were not toasted and had to ask for butter and jelly. For this much money it should have been hot, well prepared and appropriate amount of food. We don't mind paying for a good meal. This meal was not good! It was awful. I spoke with the manager and he said he would tell the cook. This was an inadequate response. We used to go to this franchise in NJ and it was always above average. This place in Christiana is dismal. Don't waste your money. read more
