Love the spacious and airy ambiance! Been here 4 times over 2025 and 2026. The first couple of times were great. The last two times have been meh in terms of both food and service. The food menu has remained relatively static and at this point, we've sampled nearly everything on the menu. Highly recommend all the salads, especially the Twelvemonth salad, the beet dish, the dumplings, the semifreddo and the pear cobbler. Everything else is strictly okay and can be hit or miss. Drinks have gotten worse over time. The only thing that has remained consistently great is the ambiance.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Made a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. The dining area is gigantic, from the outdoor patio, the bar, the private room, to the huge indoor dining room. Twelvemonth is a vegetarian restaurant with a farm-to-table dining concept. Started off with the tater tots and they felt frozen and simply fried...bummer Moved on to the eggplant sliders which was quite tasty. The bread was fresh and the eggplant was lightly breaded. The twelvemonth salad was decent. It was quite light and refreshing. The tempura mushrooms that were a hit last time didn't feel too fresh. Felt like the mushrooms had been hanging out for some time. The lasagna was also ok. The pasta didn't seem too fresh. The marinera sauce was quite light though. Ended off the meal with the vanilla soft serve which was decent. It wasn't super creamy though. Staff were cordial throughout the evening.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!! Best vegan food I have ever had in any restaurant in the Bay Area. My mom took me to celebrate my birthday and let me say-- it was the best experience. First of all, the building is absolutely GORGEOUS! Very classy and modern and an all around great vibe. Secondly, service was just as amazing. The ladies at the front were SO welcoming and sweet. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name, but she's got beautiful curly hair), was so attentive, gave us great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. Our water and dirty plates were refilled and replaced constantly by other lovely waiters as well. Excellent service!! Now, the FOOD is where it's all at. I am not 100% vegan, but growing up with my mother who is vegan, I've had a fair share of vegan food experiences. I have never eaten vegan food that tasted better than the non-vegan version until now. You will absolutely not miss the dairy and meat at all. My mom and I ate every single thing off of our plates. Absolutely DELICIOUS!! I was so full I could barely walk back to our car! Twelvemonth was a wonderful experience and I cannot wait until I am able to come back and try this place once again.

The service was slightly off for my one experience. By that I mean drinks from drink pairing didn't come out on time and some things were just a little slow. BUT server was super nice and fun. Foo was phenomenal. For everything being plant based... it was intriguing to see and taste what concoction a chef can come up with. Everything was delicious and one dish had a mole ( I was worried cuz I hate most mole) , but this one was VERY well done and delicious. The space is OPEN, airy, vibrant, earthy, beautiful with gorgeously high ceilings and beautiful lighting. Def recommend the tasting menu and cocktail pairing. Because.... It's affordable, and you get things to eat that are not on the menu for everyone else. It's the experience. Def enjoyable.

Had an amazing dinner in the outdoor courtyard. We ordered the beet salad, spring asparagus, sourdough bread, lumpia, campanelle pasta, and berry cobbler for dessert. Our server Brayan B. was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Our favorite dish was the asparagus paired with the sourdough bread that was recommended to us. Great texture from the thin taro chips. The berry cobbler had a lime ice cream that was a bit too sour for our taste.

Quite delicious across the board. Favs were the seasonal spring asparagus salad, maitake mushrooms, Korean fried chicken sliders and lemon dessert. The lasagna was probably the best vegan lasagna I've ever had but still just a good lasagna at the end of the day, not a new elevated taste. The risotto hit super unique and I've never had anything like it - I'm not sure it was for me though with the sweet bbq apples. Food came out consistently fast and perfect. I'd say across the board maybe $3-$4 dollars too expensive for each dish given portion sizes. But fairly minor in the grand scheme. HUGE place. Gorgeous. Really well decorated, vibes are immaculate. Good outdoor space. Loved the chefs counter to watch the masters at work.

This is my 3rd time here and this season's food selection was absolutely delicious. Some dishes from prior experiences tasted okay, but this time 90% of what we got were packed with flavor! While eating the sliders and lasagna, I also forgot we were in a 100% plant-based restaurant. Highly recommend: -asparagus salad app, roasted beets app; -lasagna, risotto, and campanelle mains. Skip the falafel plate (kind of dry). Dessert options were also okay from today's and prior experiences. The exterior and interior decor are beautiful, making this restaurant a great choice for occasions. Service has always been very friendly. Total for our party of 6 splits to $85/pp, and I think half of us were filled. Small eaters and those on diets may be satisfied with the fairly small portions, but big eaters/ayce chasers, and athletes will mostly likely not get their fill. However, I come here to celebrate special occasions with good company, not to get the best value for food volume, and it has always been a great experience.

I am not a vegan but this place was really good! I really enjoyed the crispy mushroom and the tofu curry. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but they have really good options for food and drinks. Definitely recommend trying it out if you are in Burlingame.

The restaurant is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the food is AMAZING. This spot is not to be missed! We had vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and a gluten free eater in our group and everyone loved everything they ate!

First time coming here; kept hearing about it from Nextdoor or Reddit. My husband , in honor of the Hindu gods he prays to, he eats only vegetarian food on Tuesdays so he suggested this place. Food: bomb dot com! Yummy and served in a nice visual style. Ambiance: whoa . Rustic Meets style. Service: efficient and friendly staff. Kept on making sure we were okay. thank you I!

Vegan food and I have come a long way. And Twelvemonth proves vegan food itself has come a long way. I remember going to a vegan place with my mom as a child and they put alfalfa sprouts on everything. I remember eating carob candy. It was bitter, so not chocolate! For years, all my associations were with bland, not so appealing food. Well, Twelvemonth brings the flavor. They bring the texture. Most of all they bring the creativity. The potion sizes are generous and lend themselves to sharing, which we did. We had a starter, a salad, and a pasta. The standout dish was the Campanelle. The presentation was gorgeous and screamed spring. It had English peas, pickled mushrooms, green garlic, spring onion. It melted in your mouth and the morels were plentiful. Our appetizer was the Iacopi Farms Italian Butter Beans, whipped with rosemary, garlic confit, and chili and fennel seed oil. It was served with two pieces of toasted sourdough. We really needed three pieces. We ended up ordering another side of sourdough to mop up all that creamy goodness. It was garlic forward, which was fine by me. We had the Tea Party Salad which had frisee & fava leaves, spring crudites, strawberries, lavender lemon dressing, and rose almonds. It was well-balanced for the most part, but I wanted more strawberry to tackle the bitter greens. We added crispy tofu, which I recommend. We got the smaller portion, and it was huge. The restaurant is spacious and well-appointed, with high ceilings and exposed brick. The seating, at least the booths, is plush. The plants are real. The overall vibe is very California and very relaxing. Service was wonderful. The staff is attentive and allows you to dine at your own pace. Their only stumble was dessert. We tried the Tahini cake. It had good flavor but was so dense I couldn't eat much. The matcha ice cream and brittle were really good though. I blame the gluten free aspect of it. This was truly a lovely dining experience. You will be wowed and you won't miss the meat. Highly recommended!

    Ask the Community - Twelvemonth

    Are there gluten free options?

They have many. BUT. I am not bothered by gluten so I am not sure of all those options.

    What time is happy hour?

Happy hour is 2pm - 5pm daily in the bar! We just launched our "all day menu" which includes a lot of the bar and dining room fan favorites that can enjoyed all day long in our bar and lounge areas and the dining room for lunch.

Are dogs welcome on the patio? If my son orders from the kids menu, would the prix fixe special lunch menu still be available to the adult diners at the table? Would love to make a reservation to celebrate my upcoming birthday if family friendly!

Yep, we’re dog-friendly on the patio! Kids under 12 can order from the kids menu if the rest of the group is doing the prix fixe. Just a heads-up: for large parties at dinner, we do have a per-person minimum, no matter the age.

I see you offer a $50 Prix fixe menu. Is that every day?

Last time I dined here, that was the case. You can order the tasting menu or from the regular menu.

    What are the bakehouse hours?

    Thursday through Sunday 8am - 2pm.

Is there wifi at this location?

    We do not, unfortunately!

Do you have any gluten free options on your menu ? Thank you

We do! Our servers are well versed on the menu and can help you choose/ modify options that can accommodate your diet as needed.

Will you be open for Christmas? Thank you.

We will be closed on Christmas. But we will reopen on the 26th.

Are you still open for breakfast on the weekends and will you turn on the outdoor heaters if it's cold?

Hi there! We aren’t open for brunch just yet. We are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday 11 to 2 with dinner service 5 to 9pm. For chillier days, we will either close the patio or utilize the heat lamps!

Is there happy hour? If so, what days and times?

Hi there! We don't have a happy hour, but our bar hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

    Is there a corkage fee?

There is a $20 corkage fee per 750ml bottle

Can we bring a cake to celebrate a birthday?

Yes! We request if the cake isn’t vegan you let our staff know so we can prevent cross contamination. The fee is $3.50 / person.

Looks beautiful and fancy. Would this be the kind of restaurant we could pop into after our grandson's baseball game or would we have to go home and change?

    Come as you are!

Reservations? Is this an all vegan restaurant?

Hi there! Yes the entire restaurant is vegan. We use the term "plant-based" to foster a more inclusive feel for guests who prefer to eat all kinds of different diets.

    Is their pasta gluten free?

Our menu changes seasonally. However, while we do have gluten free options, every pasta may not be gluten free. Our main focus will always be plant-based ingredients.

Do you serve wine and mixed alcoholic drinks?

We currently have a curated list of mocktails, cocktails, beer and wine. Once we open the entire restaurant, we will offer a full bar!

One of the things that happened when I visited this bar was I asked for a simple lemonade. The reason was because I had a soccer game the next day and I didn't want to drink alcohol and I wanted to get some electrolytes in me. It would have been very simple for the bartender to just say, "I'm sorry we don't serve lemonade." Instead what he did is say I worked here 20 years and he never served lemonade and then kept scoffing at me. He kept saying this three times, walking back and forth, up until the point the patron next to me even said, "Don't worry about him." After that without even me talking to him, he said, "Who orders lemonade at an Irish pub?" Then without me saying anything, he said, "No one orders lemonade at an Irish pub." I was honestly just trying to get a drink and he made me feel very dumb. Overall if a patron asks you for a drink, it's very easy just to say, "I'm sorry we can't do that," but he kept making me feel like an idiot. I was also surprised they did not serve lemonade; that's a very simple request. He didn't offer any alternatives except for 7-Up, which I didn't really want but paid for anyway. I ended up not drinking it even after I paid for it and leaving the bar. I guess the bartender got what he wanted. He gave me a drink that was other than lemonade; he made me pay for it and I just left the bar unhappy. I would highly recommend against visiting this establishment, especially with the grumpy bartender. He is an older white Irish guy. I understand they might have your own customers at the bar but I think it costs nothing to treat patrons with respect and not tell them that they're stupid for asking for a drink. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. Very enforced error. Sad!

The age group also varies with younger folks to older folks. Everyone is welcome. There's the owner? Or main bartender who always holds down the fort. Walked into what is clearly a local institution - the kind of place where regulars know the staff's kids' names. Weekday evening crowd skewed silver-haired, which in my experience is always a good omen. These people have been eating out for decades - they know where the bodies are buried and where the good food is. Server was legitimately excellent. Paced the order so apps didn't collide with entrees - a simple move that most places fumble. Checked in without hovering. Knew the menu cold. Then this happened: I asked for a Pliney. He asked, "Elder or Younger?" That's when I had to pause. In all my years of ordering Plineys, no one has ever asked me that. Because no one has ever randomly had Pliney the Younger on tap. These guys did - apparently a locally advertised special that had been going on that day. They had a Keg of this rare stuff, and it was depleting quickly. I got the Younger on repeat till I was barely stumbling out of the place. Life is good. Ordered the Cheesesteak and it was legit - not playing around. The family went burgers, hot dogs, and wings. Zero complaints across the board. Bar fare done right, priced right, with zero pretension. Sometimes the best finds are the ones you didn't plan for.

Dear Daniel Jones and Management Team, I am writing to bring a serious customer service issue to your attention that occurred at your establishment tonight, Saturday, June 13, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Earlier in the day, at 2:19 p.m., I called the pub to verify if the Giants game could be shown, knowing the NBA Finals would also be broadcasting tonight. The male employee who answered the phone graciously assured me, "We can put anything on that anybody wants." Relying on that promise, I came in later that evening. When I arrived around 7:00 p.m., I initially asked a male staff member to help change one of the screens to the Giants game. He was unsure how to operate the system, so I turned to the female bartender working behind the bar. When I asked if she could accommodate the game, she dismissively replied, "It's the NBA Finals." When I explained that I had called ahead and been told a TV could be accommodated, she flatly told me, "Nobody told you that," essentially calling me a liar. When I challenged her on this, she doubled down and repeated, "No, but nobody told you that." (Please note: I did not have my phone log open during the argument to give her the exact time, but I have since verified it was 2:19 p.m.). Fortunately, the male staff member stepped in to circumvent her hostility and successfully put the game on for me. However, her confrontational, rude, and accusatory behavior completely ruined the experience. I do not have her name, but she is a Caucasian woman, likely in her mid-to-late 40s, with dirty blonde hair, and she was working directly behind the bar at 7:00 p.m. tonight. As a business management team, I know you value your reputation. This is not how paying customers should be treated when simply following up on an agreement made by your own staff. I expect this matter to be addressed with the employee in question, and I look forward to hearing how this will be resolved.
