I didn't add the waffle or bacon that came at the end - considering we had waffles without any syrup- but I just ate the sauce from my eggs - meanwhile we hadn't received any drinks yet - they brought my husband some stale water - feel like everyone can find better - we shall call this a lazy experience on my part - thanks again

I really wanted to like this restaurant but it missed the mark. My order came out wrong the first time but was corrected. However the food lacked flavor. Granted I didn't order the most elaborate meal on the menu but I was expecting a basic level of flavor. There's mo designated parking lot so you need to search for an off street spot. I visited on a late weekend morning and it was pretty empty which is a strong indicator in hindsight.

The food is extremely overpriced. I got a waffle with peaches and the peaches were canned, and it just did not taste good. Disappointing for sure.

I think this is the MID CITY BOWL. It's a play of bar-b-q shrimp on top of grits and eggs in a waffle bowl

I can't say i would recommend this place. It has moved once again. i believe This is the 3rd location. This time it's inside of a hotel. It's just not convenient. Our food was just middle of the road. The floor was so sticky my shoes was sticking to it, our server was pretty good she was nice and made good coffee recommendation. That's all i have to say. It's just okay.

For the waffle lovers, Twisted Waffles is a decent place to visit. I'll start with the food, since that was the highlight. I had the waffles with crabcakes and eggs and it didn't disappoint. The actual waffles and syrup here have a good flavor. We also had the chicken and waffles, which was very good as well. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. It took about 15 minutes to be addressed and obtain water after we initially sat down. When I asked, we we're told our waiter has a large table and was working the bar, so another waiter eventually took our order. The servers were definitely friendly, just not the most efficient. Lastly, I enjoyed the ambiance, but I'm an RnB fan and all my favorites were playing.

Service was good. Ambiance was sad old faded. I had the Carmel ape waffle. Sad to say it was tasteless. So many good breakfast places around- pick another.

I enjoyed this restaurant. I was in town from Atlanta for the Saints and Falcons game and we ran across this restaurant for breakfast. It was clean and well organized as we walked in. The waiter told us it will be a 15 min wait and took us to the waiting room where several parties waited to be seated. In this waiting area was a tv that didn't work or wasn't turned on, and we sat looking at rolled to silverware and dishes until our party name was called. It would have been nice to watch the game at least. The waiter was good (can't remember his name) guy with black thick frame glasses and the pretty smile was amazing! I told him I wanted chicken wings and waffles and he suggested the strawberry, blueberry and whipped cream waffles and chicken. It was really good. We added on the variety flavored mimosas.

Wonderful delicious food made to order. The seafood omelet was filled with lump crab , shrimp, onions, and potatoes. Flavorful and delicious. The staff Devin , Kalee, and others were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was good. Took a while. I feel the most problem there is training. The servers were kind but did not work efficiently. Cool little place that could be so much more. I received my food 5 min before my husband did

French toast cake!!…read more We had some friends from out of town come to visit and they wanted to have breakfast so we brought them here. There are few breakfast spots in the quarter that I like and this is among them. I like the bacon omelet with Gruyère and a side of hot sausage. Their omelets have a cheese pull! Put some hot sauce on there and you're cooking. The hot sausage, well you gotta try it. It's unique in a good way. The crepes are good my wife likes the banana and Nutella, but the folks next to us got savory crepes and I think I am going to get that next time. One of our friends got the king cake French toast and we had seen it before and knew what he was getting into but he ate it all!!! The service is super friendly every time we have been, and this time was no exception. The place is French Quarter through and through. Kinda quirky, kinda hipster, kinda you know. There is construction going on out front on Decatur that isn't close to be done so the fences make it kinda hard to find, and sitting outside is not so great now. There is nothing you can do about it, but we prefer to sit inside so there can be a wait because it's small. If you don't want to wait go ahead and sit outside if the weather nice. Overall, we really like this place and the food has always been good. A must try if you're visiting New Orleans.

The coffee tasted like it lost the will to live, the food was solidly "meh," and the French toast itself was so dry it could double as kindling. Honestly impressive, given the name. Only highlight? Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.

We arrived to a line out front in a residential neighborhood giving house restaurant vibes from the street. Walking through the kitchen to reach the dining area is extremely odd and nearly discouraged me from dining to be honest. I'm from Vegas and never seen a restaurant concept like this. The service was overall decent and aside from the young male server vaping everyone was hospitable. The fish served with grits is "heavily" seasoned. I would def ask to scale back. The French toast served on French bread was a nice idea but way too much bread unless you're sharing it. Highly recommend adding bottle water to the menu. $100+ one time visit is plenty. The Camellia grill is something you should experience at least once but we probably wouldn't go back often because the food wasn't spectacular, but it was good, but the wait wasn't worth our experience for us and it's kind of cramped in there. I kept getting elbowed and I was elbowing the person next to me. We did meet some regulars they say they always come in for the pie. The place has classic Diner decor with history of the area and the diner, which was fun to look at.
