I enjoyed this restaurant. I was in town from Atlanta for the Saints and Falcons game and we ran across this restaurant for breakfast. It was clean and well organized as we walked in. The waiter told us it will be a 15 min wait and took us to the waiting room where several parties waited to be seated. In this waiting area was a tv that didn't work or wasn't turned on, and we sat looking at rolled to silverware and dishes until our party name was called. It would have been nice to watch the game at least. The waiter was good (can't remember his name) guy with black thick frame glasses and the pretty smile was amazing! For the waffle lovers, Twisted Waffles is a decent place to visit. I'll start with the food, since that was the highlight. I had the waffles with crabcakes and eggs and it didn't disappoint. The actual waffles and syrup here have a good flavor. We also had the chicken and waffles, which was very good as well. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. It took about 15 minutes to be addressed and obtain water after we initially sat down. When I asked, we we're told our waiter has a large table and was working the bar, so another waiter eventually took our order. The servers were definitely friendly, just not the most efficient. Stopped in to try out the Twisted Waffle. Was seated pretty quickly. My the waitress & bartender (Tenia G) came over and greeted me and took the drink order. I reviewed the menu and Tenia and the Kitchen supervisor (Herman M) gave me some recommendations. I had the ribs. They were fried ribs, which is a little different. They had great flavor though and the BBQ Sauce was great. It had a bold flavor with a twist. There was a hint of a Caribbean flavor to it. The service from Tenia was wonderful. She was friendly and tentative to everyone, even doing triple duties. As she not only was the waitress, bartender, she also bussed the tables. Herman was also friendly and helpful with the menu and he brought my food to the table. The only reason there is not 5 stars. Is my side (fries) with the meal came out when I was almost finished and the fries were not crispy. Tenia did notice they missed the side and went to tell them. When we arrived, no one greeted us, and the staff seemed more focused on deciding who would take our order than actually helping us. Two larger groups were seated after us, yet both were served and received their food before we were even acknowledged. When someone finally took our order, the problems continued. My food came out undercooked, and my friend's meal was cold, as if it had been sitting out for a while. I sent my food back and decided it wasn't worth staying. Worst restaurant experience ever. These were some of the rudest people I have ever met in my 71 years on earth. They stand around and talk instead of taking orders and when they finally argue over who has to wait on table they talk down to you and act as if they are all put out by having to deal with people. Ryan the waiter was the worst I have ever dealt with. He had us waiting over an hour while people came and ate and left. When my husband asked why our food never came out and people have come and gone, Ryan went into a tirade on us very loudly explaining that it isn't a perfect world and kept on for at least a minute yelling at us. The breakfast food was delicious. So many waffle choices but my partner stayed true to plain chicken and waffles. I had a waffle bowl...never heard of but glad I picked it. It's a bowl made from a waffle and filled with scrambled eggs, meat, veggies and cheese. The place is not too far from Bourbon St in FQ. Corner building that is attached to a hotel...many windows which brightened up the place also had a bar. DJ played some good music (don't know if he's there every day) on a beautiful Sunday morning. Slow and bad service. This TW is attached to the Holiday In. Chateau La Moyne, and this is where your breakfast coupons from the hotel go. First morning I went down to get coffee and the restaurant was not overly crowded. Needed creamer, which wasn't delivered despite several requests to the server. My wife arrived and ordered a coffee (still no creamer). After waiting and watching the server flail from request to request, we abandoned. That afternoon, we needed a snack and decided to give it a try. Each table has a QR code to take you to the menu and order through Toast. So we did that. Small, uncomplicated order - 2 eggs, fruit plate, smoothie, and an iced coffee. Ordered at 3:30, scheduled to be ready at 3:50. Took repeated requests over the course of about 15 minutes just to get water for the table. At 3:50 I went to check on the order only to discover that, as far as the staff was concerned, I was the first person to ever use that functionality and they had no idea anyone actually in the restaurant had submitted the order. They thought the online ordering system was for takeout. They confirmed the order, and said we would have it right away. Half an hour later, eggs and fruit arrive. No utensils. No smoothie. No coffee. Took a visit to the bar to get a fork. Server asked if we wanted to pay the check. I noted (a) the absence of the smoothie and the coffee and (b) that we'd already paid through the app. 20 minutes later, still no smoothie or coffee. I see a server looking like she's about to make a smoothie and tell her I've been waiting over an hour for it. She apologizes, tells me she just started her shift and was told to make a smoothie. Iced coffee finally arrives, roughly an hour and twenty minutes after being ordered through the app. Smoothie arrives Just in time for us to head off to our dinner reservation. if you're staying at the HI Chateau La Moyne, save time and money and don't book your reservation with breakfast. read more

We were asked to seat ourselves at a table that the waiter pointed to while he seated another family. He said he would be right with us with menus. 10 minutes later I decided to get our own menus since he still didn't bring them. Two other families entered the restaurant that he seated and took their orders. He passed by our table a couple times and said he would be right with us. However at 30 minutes after arriving when he went to seat another person and still had not taken our order, we decided to leave. As we walked past him to leave he did not even acknowledge that we were leaving and made no attempt to address us.
