for real? is salad this good? YES I am not a big salad eater but my coworkers took me there and suggested the pick three salad...... thankfully I did. everything is made fresh, and theses are gourmet caliber salads, I went with the penne pasta salad, the pesto chicken salad and the pear chicken salad!!!! it honestly tastes like some person went and chose the best quality produce and poultry! I have had lunch here a few times in the last year. It is for the most part a solid place to grab a healthy meal when in Greenville. They have two locations. The downtown one has the better atmosphere. I would actually give them a better rating, but...recently, I ordered a drink in a can, I was looking for the recycle bin after lunch and to my surprise there was no option. When I asked, they said they are not required to recycle. I mean, I get it, but it is (was) 2013. The food is delicious! Reminded me of NYC delis and caterers. Such a pleasant surprise! I visit Greenville often and this is the first "stand-out" restaurant I've experienced in a long time. Great value too! Only thing that seemed odd and confusing was the beverage station... They have beer and wine out with all of the other NA options. Is this even legal? What about minors? The way it is setup seems like it's self service, but maybe it's not entirely? I wasn't asked what type of beverage I wanted exactly.. Just was handed a cup and charged for a drink. When I walked over to the station I saw a variety of options, which I'm sure some must cost more than others. Honor system maybe? Regardless, 5 stars! Loved it. I will definitely be back. read more

Enjoyed our sandwiches and salad here. We will definitely return. There's so many things we want to try on their menu! The bread was nice and fresh and I loved my half roast beef sandwich with the house salad. It's not your average, boring house salad. I loved the almonds in it and the dressing was delicious. My husband had the grinder and really enjoyed it. I even thought it was tasty and I'm not a huge salami fan, but I could have eaten that sandwich. Can't wait to go back! read more

I like it but don't quite love it for couple easily fixable. One, they charge you 0.32 for a cup if you want to drink water. Seriously? I wouldn't mind if their prices were $0.50 higher and give the cup for free. It just doesn't feel right. The other is that the combos (Half and half) are very limited to their simple options. One day I wanted half of a nice salad and a specialty Sandwich and asked them to charge me more if that's what it needed to happen when I was told that only simple options were allowed. What did they do? They gave me (and charged for) a full salad and full sandwich. Not cool. The upside was that I had half a salad and half sandwich for dinner bit not what I wanted. P read more

My new favorite place to eat lunch. I get the salad sampler and my faves to have are the asian noodles, egg salad, potato salad, and tuna salad. The service is good, the food is yummy. The only thing a bit awkward is how tight the dining room is. And it gets super busy during lunch. So head there early before 11:30 or after 115pm. . Otherwise finding a place to park is tough. How can Two Chef's not be reviewed yet? GREAT lunch place. If you are looking for something light and fresh, rather than heavy and fried, this is the place to go. I recommend the three salad combination plate. Cranberry Rice, Chicken Pear Salad, and Asian Noodle Salad. So good. I usually have the mandarin chicken salad with a bread roll, one of the most popular items, and it's amazing. They don't have fountain drinks, but they do have lemonade and unsweetened tea (a bit of a shame, but you can add sugar). read more

We ordered the Wednesday pork tenderloin with lobster rigatoni and green beans with shiitake mushrooms meal tonight as take out. It was beautifully prepared and delicious. This is a a 4.5 for a deli..excellent and a favorite lunch place on Pelham Rd(so I rounded up). Fast service also. My favorite thing to order is the 3-item selection from the deli case...the wild rice salad, pear chicken salad, jalapeño slaw, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, tuna salad, Greek vegetables, pimento cheese...I could go on and on. Also they have a couple of tasty homemade seasonal soups each day. I usually don't order the sandwiches and salads, but plenty of those also. Make sure to get their iced tea. It is slightly flavored and delicious with nothing in it! They have items prepared for take out like grilled salmon, crab cakes, crisp green beans and a full selection of baked sweets. The owners run the business and are the chefs behind the counter making it happen...nice guys. There is another two chefs downtown..offering other choices and also quite good, but this one is my favorite. read more

The food was great. The experience was awful. I was visiting from Charleston and my friends raved about this place. We went and its quaint and they have a nice selection, even the wine selection is a small but nice one,I purchased a bottle. But when it came to adding 1 more sloce of cheese to my friends daughter's ham and "grilled cheese" (it was basically a hot ham and cheese, kids want gooey cheese, 1 more piece fixed it) sandwich an older gentleman (not the owner I was told) got rather angry after a very nice young man said, "sure no problem". This older man started saying things to the kitchen and since they have a window you can see through, theu all started staring at our group. This made us all uncomfortable. We had another friend show up late and when one of group was ordering dessert while she ordered her lunch this same man glared at them and also made them not want to stay at the restaurant. From what I understand, this is his normal behavior. When my friends went before, they asked for lettuce on a sandwich and he responded in this same manner. I witnessed interactions with the owner and he was so pleasant, even helping my friends daughter pick out her drink for her lunch, but this other gentleman will more than likely cause me to not return on my future visits, even though i loved my lunch. read more

We've been going to Two Chefs Eastside ever since it opened...must be 15 years at least. We've since moved away, but whenever we're in Greenville, we never fail to stop by and fill our cooler with 2-3 days of great meals. We were there this week and if anything, the food is better. I have been going to the place for over 14 years for lunch at least once a week. I love the food, always fresh and the Soups are the best around. But today I had a not so great experience. I gave myself a rare treat of one of their desserts. Raspberry Cheesecake which was very good, however, it was marked $3.50. When I got back to work and looked at my receipt she had charged me $4.00. It was not worth $4.00, very small piece. I called and a " Girl" answered. I asked her how much was the Raspberry CC. She said $3.50, the Caramel is $4.00. I then told her I was overcharged. It was not the 50 cents, but I wanted to make them aware so they don't overcharge someone else. Her attitude was, oh well. She did not apologize, then said " well what do you want? what is your name? I should have asked her name, I told her I come in often and will bring in my receipt. Her response was " fine" and said Goodbye. There is a big turn over in that place, but she would be next if Bill overheard her. read more
