The staff was great, very friendly, and gave us some great recommendations. I got their version of a Cuban sandwich, which was okay. The ranch and salad were pretty standard. Everyone enjoyed the fries, which were properly seasoned and had great flavors. The buffalo chicken was really good and I particularly enjoyed the breading. The kids enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, but didn't care much for the Texas toast grilled cheese (probably too thick for them). The kid oranges were a big hit. My wife got a wine flight and enjoyed them all. I tried a Marble wheat beer mixed with some watermelon beer, per the bartender's recommendation, and would order it again. read more

We went in and found a seat in the back room. We sat for quite awhile and finally a woman came to our table and said we'd need to order at the bar, tossed a couple menus on the table, turned and disappeared. We stumbled upon this location....and it was such a pleasant surprise!!! Amazing food, attentive service, cozy atmosphere- another Albuquerque gem!! We started with the pretzel bites, a favorite of my nephew. Came out fresh and hot with a nice queso dipping sauce. Our server was able to recommend a local IPA for myself. For our meal we had the BLT stack, Prime Rib sandwich, and Turkey Melt. The bacon was cooked perfectly on both the BLT and Turkey melt. My teenage nephew ate all of his sandwich and fries, a great compliment. Overall wonderful experience! And, for these Texans, it was soooo nice to be able to sit on their covered patio in July to enjoy our meal. :-) read more

I recently had lunch at the Two Cranes. The service and food were fine (4 star). Unfortunately, the menu prices and the charged prices did not match. The server failed to disclose a 3% 'culinary fee' is added to one's bill. I suggest you ask your server directly what the actual price will be for each beverage and food item you are considering ordering and what other fees apply to the order. read more

We stopped by Two Cranes last weekend when we were between errands in Old Town and downtown. This is an area that doesn't have a ton of non-touristy, family friendly options, so I went full-on Yelp. Yelp indeed came to the rescue with the Two Cranes recommendation. My husband had the Turkey sandwich, I had the spinach/goat cheese salad, and the kid had chicken fingers. The grown ups had a beer and our son got Dr. Pepper all the way. Oh, and we both had the pretzel bites with cheese dip to start. Everything was delicious. The salad was designed by someone who obviously eats and enjoys salads (you can tell) as the flavors were layered and the whole thing was not buried by two tons of iceberg. My husband's sandwich was good and he REALLY LIKED the fries (his emphasis). The kid's chicken fingers were hand breaded and fried and the deal of the century ($5 for the whole shooting match). Service felt like they had a few people call out (sign of the times) but our waiter was busting his tail and very attentive. One star off for the $8 beers (ouch) but everything else was exemplary. Cutest little pub close to the museums, Sawmill and Old Town. They have indoor dining with large TVs playing the latest sports and outdoor dining to take advantage of the mild Albuquerque winter weather. The patio has a beautiful fire and water feature and outdoor heating. This is a fantastic place to grab a brew and a bite after your Old Town stroll or after a visit to any of the museums. Their relleno rolls are delicious and so are their sandwiches and salads. They offer breakfast as well and open at 11am. read more

This is a little bistro off Rio Grande and I-40. Arriving after 5 on a Friday, I was surprised is was slow. There were a few parties there, grabbing a drink and talking. The food was so so. This was our first time going and I'm not disappointed. It was such a chill vibe. Just as your would suspect for a taproom. And the food was really good. I got the truffle Mac and cheese and my boyfriend got the red Chile cubano. For an appetizer we got the Chile rellenos egg rolls. All of which I would recommend. I have had this place in my "to try" list but came across it driving to old town. It was already late with little options for a late dinner so we decided to stop in! It was an hour before close but the staff was super nice about serving us. I will say, the food and drinks did not disappoint! I ordered the shrimp scampi which was an absolute game changer! Hidden around the corner this small Bistro was a delight. We were allowed to bring "Fred the wonder dog" to the patio to eat with us ( he had just earned his BARK RANGER BANDANA from the National Parks Department and we wanted to celebrate.) Ashley, our server was very pleasant and perfectly attentive. We ordered the chorizo and cheese stuffed Poblano chili egg rolls and the Spinach and herbed goat cheese Salad. we then shared both. What a great find! We were passing through Albuquerque and found this quaint neighborhood bistro on Yelp. We wanted something with salads and sandwiches and Two Cranes had both. The wait staff was fantastic and they knocked the food out of the park! The food was tasty, fresh, plentiful portions, and it was served up in an appealing manner. We love two cranes, everything is always dependable. The food, the service, the atmosphere. Highly recommended. Dez always handles us in the evening and he is always at tentative. Came here on a Friday for lunch. We were seated right away at a high top table near a window. Our server was very attentive and checked on us frequently. I got the Veggie Flat Bread with sweet potato fries as a side. I LOVED the flatbread. It had artichokes and sundried tomatoes with a pesto spread and cheese. So savory and warm... I wolfed it all down. My mom got the French dip with regular fries, which she said was just as good as any other French dip she has had at other restaurants. We didnt have anything to drink but they have a pretty extensive wine list and a bunch of beers on tap. Our only complaint was portion sizes. Our meals came with pretty small portions of French fries and the French dip was also small. Considering the price ($14-$15 each), I'd at least expect more than 10 fries. read more

Dog-friendly seating? Off to a good start. We decided to do some wine tastings and share a charcuterie board. There was a different employee in this part of the winery. My husband mentioned that he couldn't have gluten and asked if there was a gluten-free alternative to the bread/crackers. Imagine my surprise when the board arrived with... tortilla chips. For a place that also specializes in gourmet foods, I was expecting something a little more exciting than chips. Gluten-free crackers, anyone? The wines were nice, and we really enjoyed sitting outside. The only other slight downer was the service. When I went inside for another tasting, I casually asked the server, "How's your day going?" His response: "I'm here." Well... I guess technically that answers the question. Clearly, he was having an off day. It happens, but you can't help but pick up on that energy when you're trying to relax and enjoy some wine. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

My fiancé got a glass of red from local winery Gruet, and later found out from Alec that it was a special, limited-edition wine from a partnership between Gruet and Crafted. Apparently you can't find it in stores, so this is the place to come for it! The meal started with a rich and comforting dish that blended roasted peppers, corn, and creamy goodness into the perfect bowl of warmth. Every bite was hearty and flavorful, the kind of dish that makes you want to slow down and savor. The salad was a showstopper--fresh spinach topped with vibrant mandarin oranges, roasted peppers, crunchy pistachios, and creamy goat cheese. It was not only gorgeous but also a perfect balance of textures and flavors--sweet, savory, tangy, and nutty all at once. And the cocktail? Bright, refreshing, and beautifully crafted. The kind of drink that makes you want to linger at the bar just a little longer. Between the creativity in the kitchen and the care in every detail, Two Cranes is easily one of my favorite finds. Our mimosas where lovely, our charcuterie appetizer held us over well until our meal came. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the NM traditional Eggs Benedict. Both dishes where so delicious that my boyfriend and I swapped one of each dish! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I ordered a Bloody Mary and was told they only had green, the waitress was kind enough to let me sample the mixer before ordering. It was a mix of tomatillo, celery, lime and I'm not sure what else, but let me tell you, it was extremely refreshing and bursting with flavor! The manager also let us sample some apple cider with ginger and that was also so good!!!! This place easily became a FAVORITE! And we definitely will be back!!! read more

Disappointed. Was in search of fish tacos and trying to stay away from Old Town. We were in town for Balloon Fiesta and Old Town was packed. Two Cranes came up on yelp for fish tacos so off we went. This was Sunday late afternoon so the place was almost empty. Employees friendly so there's that. We waited a long time for our food but we were enjoying the Cowboys game so no worries. Fish tacos finally came out and SO lukewarm and salty. Super bummer. The real kicker though?? My husband asked for some ranch. It came in a tiny little cup so imagine my SURPRISE when it showed up on the bill for $1. Really? I hate when restaurants over charge you for the little things. Just no. So many other choices nearby. Had a great dinner. This place just recently added the Impossible Burger, which is incredible. Cooked to perfection, rare. Juice bar is phenomenal, with the orange Beet and the Jackalope being the best. Definitely worth a visit the next time you are in the Old Town area. read more

I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.

He's says he's going to go check and confirm there's a server that can take us. Never comes back. We are just kinda waiting for ten, fifteen, twenty minutes. Honestly at that point we should have just left but eventually another woman comes out and says very uncertainly that it might be a 15+ minute wait for a table. This was when we decided to leave and not play some weird waiting game. Don't waste people's time, just say no if the answers no. We ended up at a brewery and it was a much better vibe.

One is the darker bar area but we were seated in a room full of full length windows that opened. I had a flight of their beers and enjoyed them all. For lunch I had their red chile bbq pork sandwich while my wife had the enchiladas. The food is a mix of Southern soul food and New Mexican standards. My wife actually preferred her food here over the well regarded New Mexican restaurant we went the previous day. I really liked my sandwich with its kiss of heat.

Only the other one in the South Valley (where we never go) has them. The tv commercials didn't say that. I did let the servers know this bc I felt it was false advertising. We got a Flight of 4 different beers and "settled" on a fried fish w salad which was ok and their grilled catfish tacos which you had to eat w a fork bc they were too messy to pick up w your fingers.. They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. We ate inside and our server, Sophia, was very good. It didn't take long to get our dinners except my partner's salad took forever! The salads are included w the meals. My salad was different and good which was a Blackeye pea, corn, & more ingredients. My experience there was disappointing since I wanted ribs and not "soggy" fish tacos. I might go back for the beer only.
