A truly great brewery experience! We came as a small group on a Saturday afternoon and it was the perfect spot. Plenty of seating and very family friendly; lots of kids and babies! I tried a flight of beer and all of them were excellent. Additionally, I never have high expectations for brewery food but it was all delicious. There were a lot of options and the food came out very quickly. We will for sure be coming back (hopefully for some live music)!

i had seen that this place was dog friendly so i gave it a try. we got to sit outside and got to choose where to sit. we got helped out and got our orders in. the outside seating was clean and it wasn't too busy. we got sprite and coke and the glasses were clean and the drinks were crisp. for appetizer we got a cesar salad to share, compared to a $13 cesar salad else where this one seemed a bit small. for entrees we got wings with a side of fries and the cajun shrimp tacos. the wings were good actually enjoyed the smoked and fried part. fries were good as well there was just a lot to finish. the cajun shrimp tacos were good and the side of salsa on there helped it as well. could of put out a little more chipotle ranch. the tacos did seem to be missing something though maybe like an avocado or something. overall good flavoring. they were $16 for 4 which i thought was good just needed some more to it i asked for a chicken breast for the dogs and they got it and it even came cut up which i appreciated it and they did too. service was excellent until the end where we were waiting about 15 minutes to get asked for check and box.

A friend and I stopped in here for lunch after a day of shopping in downtown Glen Ellyn. It was a chill bar vibe but not too noisy, and we nabbed a booth along one wall. I started with the intriguing horchata root beer that was advertised on the door. I like horchata, I like root beer, so this was an interesting blend of the two: the cinnamon of the horchata and the rootiness of the root beer; it was also very carbonation-forward (made me sneeze a few times after the first couple sips!) Not the very best root beer I ever had, but a fun flavor trip. For our meal, we both ordered exactly the same thing: the Good Boy Burger with smoked cheddar, crispy onions and apple cider bbq sauce, but no jalapenos, cooked medium, with fries. YUM! A tasty, hearty burger, slightly messy but not a disaster. Cutting it in half made eating it more manageable. Our waiter, Jordan, was laid-back, friendly, and chatty. Overall, this is one to remember for the next visit to Glen Ellyn.

Spellcaster In Perdition With Mexican Rice And Black Beans

Came upon this while going somewhere and instead stopped in to get some beer and grub. It turns out to be more than a brewery as they also have a kitchen. Two Hound Red is the only brewery in Glen Ellyn and for now is filling the demand that before wasn't in this town. A lot of beers beyond just the IPA stuff you can get anywhere. You can also get some good healthy food as well. Even though it hasn't been around long it manages to have a good variety of beers. It has more than just the common stuff like IPAs that many people have had enough of. They also have a few sours. Even the IPAs they have are interesting. We had a few different types. I had a Spellcaster In Perdition. It's $7 for a pint. This is a New England Hazy IPA with a bold taste. It has hints of many fruits. There's notes of black pepper, guava, lemon, and red grapefruit. It's not just beer. There's food too. It has a pretty surprisingly good kitchen with a few plant based options. We had the Mexican Rice And Black Beans so we had something to eat as well to keep a good pace. It's $5 for a bowl. This is a good affordable option for vegetarians. Also rice helps absorb alcohol. Then you can have more. Get your drink on and your eat on in a pretty cool brewery. It's better than those ones that just have the same few kinds of beer so if you like variety come here. The food is also good and the even have some friendly to vegetarians.

I really want to like this place. I will give it another chance. The food was OK. I was surprised at the mac & cheese it was Meh. The Cuban sandwich was OK. I did like it. I don't know. Maybe it was an off day for them. I'll try it again. Service took forever and it was not busy.

First time at this brewery. The beer is really good!! We also had the queso dip which was Luke warm so tasted average but the pesto chicken sandwich was really tasty. The atmosphere is comfy and service was excellent. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our dinner and experience. We'll be back!

Sadly won't be returning. Atmosphere is cool and server good but food was flat. Roasted brussel sprouts were all burnt and dry very little green probably from over roasting and sitting under a lamp for too long. Pulled pork sandwich was ok. Spinach and artichoke dip was very oily and chips very hard. A lot of this could be from sitting too long out vs being fresh to order. Cocktails and beer on point however the food menu looks good but isn't executed well.

If you like a monthly beer, this looks like the way to go!

We decided to get off the couch and try a new spot and this was it. Beer and food is a great combination! We were seated quickly and had not one, but two servers! We had to scan a code to view the menu on our phones. There's a beer menu, a drinks menu and a food menu. There are items on the lunch menu that are not on the dinner menu (hubby really wanted that Reuben sandwich!). Hubby tried out one of their beers (meh) and I had a glass of wine. Since I'm gluten free, my choices are limited to start with and I was sad they had no other GF options. I had hoped for a cider or spiked seltzer or (holding breath) a gluten free beer. They do have a full bar, but I wasn't in the cocktail mood. Hubby ordered a burger, and I had a GF pizza. We were both unimpressed with the food. I was happy that my GF pizza crust wasn't burnt as that seems to be a problem whenever I order one. Even with two servers, we never were asked if we wanted more to drink. We should have grabbed them when they dropped off the food, but they brought me the wrong dish, so I had to deal with that. They quickly fixed it, but I forgot to ask for more water This place is not easily visible from the street. It's on the north side of Pennsylvania with a red door and a private lot. They had a blackboard easel in front of the door, so that was our clue. If there isn't a spot in the lot, there's lots of street parking. Overall, I was disappointed. My expectations have been lowered for post COVID dining, but even with that it was not the place for us.

On this coldish Wednesday winter evening, it wasn't as busy and boisterous as our previous visits, and that was just fine for our usual catchup party of 3.  Sam was our fine and attentive server and she adequately took care of the whole dining room on this night. Arriving at 5:30pm, we took advantage of Happy Hour and had 6 beers by 6pm for $5 each.  We also had a cheese curds appetizer for $10 (discounted from regular $12). I had my usual 3 beers for our catchup session, namely: - Moreover hazy IPA, 6.5% ABV - Mango Double Marbles Imperial IPA, 8.0% ABV - Appetizer hazy IPA, 5.5% ABV For food, I had their chicken tikka masala platter for $22.  My colleagues had a high steak sandwich with salad ($20), and an Italian Beef with fries ($18).  All were delicious.  There is now a 3% credit card fee.  Overall, still one of the best Chicagoland brewpubs around.

I loved that they not only have a wide variety of house brewed beers but also wines and full bar for cocktails. Anything on tap, one can try a small taster of before ordering a full glass. To start, we tried the Italian Beef Egg Rolls and House Pretzel. The Egg Rolls came as a four count with a side of sauce. The flavor was good but we definitely could have ordered two. The House Pretzel was easy to share as a group of 8 where everyone got a good portion. For mains, we all got a variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps, and some of their Indian offerings. I got the Smoked Maple BLT with Truffle Fries which I loved. The Tonkatsu Curry Bowl and Somosas were also stand out dishes. The food prices are a bit of a premium but portions are decent. The beer selection had a wide variety and the sour options were a group favorite. Our waitress was wonderful about splitting checks, keeping an eye on us, and always having a smile on her face. Note: There is street parking in front but also a lot behind the building to park in. Tip: Check out their events calendar to enjoy free entertainment. We played Music Bingo and had an absolute blast!

A few small notes, but overall this place exceeded expectations. The real stars of the night were our servers, Barb and Jeremy. They were consistently attentive, professional, and kind -- not just to us, but to every guest in the room. Jeremy noticed the birthday celebrant hadn't had a chance to try the chicken tenders, and quietly arranged a special plate with bonus fries just for him. That level of care and awareness is hard to find. On to the food -- the chicken tenders appetizers are a must-order. Light batter, juicy, and not dried out like you get at so many other places. They went so fast we ordered a second round, and it came out almost instantly -- no wait at all! The spinach & artichoke dip was warm, cheesy, ooey-gooey perfection, served with light and crispy tortilla chips. I had to physically stop myself from eating more to save room for dinner. For the main course, we had three options. The fettuccine alfredo was generous in portion (I couldn't finish mine!), though the chicken pieces were a touch tough -- and a slice of garlic bread would be a nice touch to balance the creaminess. The meatloaf, though? AMAZING. Served on a french roll, topped with crispy onion straws and a sweet, tasty barbecue glaze -- it was a showstopper. The millionaire bacon burger was untouched at our table, but guests raved it was big, juicy, and delicious. A nice bonus for families: kids under 12 were able to order anything from the kids' menu, which was a great perk for the younger guests. When our 2-hour window was almost up, we were planning to extend -- and before we even asked, they told us the manager said we were welcome to stay longer if we needed. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. We took the full extra hour and guests enjoyed mingling, cake, and desserts without feeling rushed. Oh, and the women's restroom? Clean and fully stocked. Always appreciated! The surprise was a success, and this place played no small part in that. Highly recommend for private events!
