They have seating appropriate for getting work done (tables with outlets) and couches if you are looking for cozy seating! There is also a record player in case you want to choose a record from their collection for music. The baristas was very nice and willing to answer any questions you may have regarding the menu. I ended up trying the 'Warm to The Touch' wine drink that was recently introduced! If you are a fan of sweet wine and love cinnamon I definitely think this would be an excellent drink to try out! It was very flavorful and warm, hence perfect for a cold day in the city! My friend ended up getting the Chai tea and I tried a little of that as well! It was really good! Drinks (4/5) I live close to Two Zero Three, so I'm surprised it took me this long to stop by and study here! I ordered a Lavender & Green Tea Latte, which was so delicious! The floral taste of the lavender was subtle and didn't overwhelm the latte, and the green tea really came through. My only thing was that a little bit of the green tea powder collected at the bottom so that wasn't great, but the overall flavor of the drink was awesome. Latte foam art was only okay but I think the powder was more concerning to me. Service (5/5) The people at the counter were so friendly and made conversation. It was a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too busy, and I didn't have to wait in line to order. Atmosphere (4/5) Two Zero Three is adorable, y'all. You have a wide assortment of seating options (couches, tables with outlets, or high-top seating). My favorite is the table since I feel the most productive there but I can certainly see myself curling up on the couch to read a good book. My main concern is that the couch and table seating actually aren't that plentiful so I don't know how likely it is to get a spot when they're truly busy. The pastry (chocolate croissant) was not really flaky and definitely overlooked. Based on the cold hard chocolate in the middle, it was recently taken out of cold storage maybe carbonite? The americano was ok...slightly bitter. I imagine these two shots would have been better in a latte. I am not a coffee aficionado. However, I know a lot about good service and conscientious people. I stopped in this coffee shop for my hit of caffeine, and the people were perfectly nice. Yet, what struck me about these workers was when an older gentleman, speaking hardly any English, was disturbed about something and abruptly walked away. The young woman barista, searched him out in the crowded space, to help him with his problem. That goes beyond "Midwest Nice," and showed me something real good about this younger generation. I'm staying at the Virgin Hotel Chicago to which this coffee shop is attached, so I knew what to expect: great space design that somehow complicated the intended use. The car bar is attractive, but too small for a waiting area for those getting barista-brewed drinks. The coffee menus - on paper - are in the middle of the bar, so you can't always decide what you're having while you wait. The communal work table may be too big for the space. And the music has too much bass for the space - which is noisy. I'm from Providence, RI y'all, and Bolt Coffee in the Dean Hotel May just have spoiled me: their space is better designed and trendy but more comfortable. The cold brew I had a strong and almost on the edge of too much so for me. But with milk added? Delicious! Nitro cold brew sold only in small, though? A small selection on grab & go breakfast options (yoghurt parfait was made with thick Greek yoghurt, big plump berries & not overly sweet granola. Score!!) and small salads & veggies. Pastries were tempting but I resisted. $10 for a coffee & yoghurt was a bit pricy, though. read more

Great cafe lounge inside the Virgin Hotel. This cafe has a cool vibe as Virgin hotel and almost feel like lounge even though they open only during daytime and close early. Wish they open till late! [Value & Quality] I started coming here ever since they joined Brew Pass in summer 2016. 8oz cappuccino and latte for almost $5 is expensive, but this is inside hotel. They are part of Bowtruss, so much better than the unbelievably terrible hotel coffees offered in other hotel lounges. I felt the pouring techniques depend on baristas because it's not always came out beautifully, but the flavor, texture, and intensity of espresso were always perfect to me. Baristas are friendly more of the time :) [Atmosphere] Love the decor. They have plug and bag hunger on the edge of tables. Good to hang out and get some work done with free wifi. It's hard to get in the middle seats where 3 small coffee tables are at though. I like every seating option as large tables, high chair, small tables with sofa! Not to mention, love tons of natural lights from big windows :) [Improvement - Cleanliness] For cleanliness, it's ok, but hope they clean up the tables more often because steins of coffees are pretty visible and sticky sometimes. [Parking] When you come here by driving, it's very hard due to the great location. When my drink was ready and the barista called "peppermint mocha," and gave me about 2 seconds before she called it again in an aggressive and annoyed tone. After a not-so-great first experience at TZT, I was invited to come back to TZT and to meet with their food and beverage director. I wasn't able to come in on a weekday to meet with him, but TZT seemed genuinely interested in providing my friend and I a positive second experience. We returned to TZT, and were given a gift certificate to use toward our visit. My friend and I opted not to use the certificate just yet, and instead purchased two drinks and coffee cake. There was a world of a difference between our first and second experience at TZT. The baristas were more attentive and our drinks were well-done. My latte was well-crafted, and the presentation was on-point. Perhaps we visited on an off day last time, but I'm glad we came back and tried TZT a second time. With good coffee, we also appreciated the decor and ambiance of TZT. I like the display of Shinola Detroit products, and the efforts made to make this hotel coffee shop appeal to Windy City visitors and residents alike. Good coffee, good bagels, nice people. I stopped in here to grab a cup of coffee and something to eat before work, and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Drip coffee was smooth and robust, and self serve which was interesting. I've gotten a bagel and cream cheese there twice, and both times the bagel has been top quality. Cream cheese serving is a little on the small side for a whole bagel, but the bagel is almost good enough to eat plain! Prices are on the higher side, but nothing out of the ordinary for an independent coffee shop in the Loop. No sandwiches or anything like that on the menu, but they do have cold-section with yogurt and fruit and things like that. The space is small, but has a "comfortable but in a kind of luxe-y way" vibe that I think works really well. However, the flow of the space feels a bit strange, as its not clear how/where to order, pay, and pick up. It seems like you just walk up to the counter and someone approaches you from there. It has worked fine both times I've been there, but I can see there being confusion when things get busy. The baristas are all friendly and happy to answer any questions. This place isn't trying to do too much, which means it does everything to a pretty high standard. Don't come in here expecting an expansive space or an extensive menu. Great location, great atmosphere, great coffee. It's great, okay?! Seriously the vibe of this place is super cool, and I love that it's a café by day and a cocktail bar by night. They upsold my boyfriend on adding a flavor to his latte but then didn't have half of their advertised flavors at the time. He ended up getting almond syrup vs. his original pick of hazelnut, and he enjoyed it, so I wasn't going to dock them any points for broadening our flavored coffee horizons. Well, they leave quite a bit to be desired. Either they need better training (especially for providing quality customer service) or there just aren't systems in place to help the employees thrive. Trash has to be walked through seating area to be taken out and carts of items to restock the shelves have to be brought in the same way. This can be pretty annoying if you're looking for a quiet/calm coffee shop experience but it's not a deal breaker given everything else the space has going for it. Another perk? I work in the South Loop (Wells and Adams), it took me about 17 minutes to walk to the cafe due to construction on Wabash. It's a great atmosphere, great seating selection and space! If you want to have a team meeting, this place would be ideal due to long tables. I ordered a cappuccino and vegetable croissant, all totaling up to $8.--.
