He went through the truck from bumper to bumper with a fine tooth comb. He gave it to me straight. Let me know what needed to be done now and what could wait till later. He did not over sell services that were not necessary just to make a buck. Already have had two separate services there and was very high quality work. No hidden fees. He is honest on prices for labor and parts. Quality of service he did on the classic truck was amazing. He's knowledgable, helpful and wont lie to you! His prices are fair and less than any other places in town that I have gotten estimates from! Also.. I went and got a smog done on my car last Thursday and failed at Russel's Automotive. They tried to get me to bring my car in the very next day for the necessary repairs which they said would cost over 400.00 plus dollars. The tech told me it could be one of three things, but would not tell me what those THREE things are which made me get suspicious. I did not schedule an appt. I called a couple of other smog places to find out what I could do, they advised me to take the car to a smog technician for a diagnostic test to find out why it could have failed. Tyler's Automotive performed my diagnostic test. They were very thorough and found nothing wrong with my car. They referred me to a smog test only center, where my car passed with flying colors. Thank you Tyler for giving me such great service and saving me from a huge car repair bill. I have found my new go to guy for any future repair issues. read more

NOT PLEASED! My boyfriend and I took his car in to get looked at and we ran into some problems. My boyfriends hood clamp broke so we had some trouble getting the hood open. They helped us open it by basically breaking the latch off completely. Afterward they told us they couldn't do anything and that they were to busy, I trusted these guys to help us with our car trouble and they go and screw us over like that?! Tyler and Gary are the best! They are honest, hard-working, and really nice. Half the time I go in not knowing at all what is wrong, trying my best to describe what is happening through absurd noises like "eeeeek". And they always they find the problem and fix it quickly. The last time I went in, they said I needed a new something or other but instead of ordering a new one and installing it which would have been $300, he said first he was going to try taking apart and cleaning my old one. Three words: efficient, dedicated and affordable. Tyler Auto is at the end of the cul-de-sac. Bill, the Mechanic had a great diagnostic approach to resolving my car issues. He test drove it at least 5 times until he felt all the issues were addressed and l the tweaks were made. Just needed new spark plugs, I was done in 2 hours. I'll go back to them. read more
