Went here for dessert and it was really good. I got the pistachio flavor and it didn't taste artificial and was very creamy. There's also plenty of seating inside and outside but it is located in the riviera so parking might be a little tough. Overall, good dessert but haven't tried the sandwiches so can't speak to that!

I was craving something sweet after lunch at the Riviera Village and Ugo's caught my eye, well actually the gelato did!! What a cool place; so vibrant and inviting! I got a waffle cone with coffee gelato and it was awesome. Ugo is an authentic Italian style cafe that serves gelato, coffee, pastries , breakfast lunch and dinner. I can only rate it based on how good the gelato was and it was five star as was the service.. Definitely a fan, I am eager to go back and try some other things like their Neapolitan pizza!!

Gelato? Yes please! I was so excited to see Ugo open in the Riviera. The most perfect after dinner treat. I'm a Basic B and I always get Stracciatella.

I just finished eating lunch next-door and decided to try Hugo. There was a little bit of a line, but it went pretty fast. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and very patient as I tried multiple different samples. It was so hard to make up my mind because everything was so delicious. I honestly can't remember which one I chose, but it was absolutely amazing as well as all the other samples that I tried. I will definitely have to come back and get some more.

Lovely little shop that makes you feel like you are in Europe. Stopped here after dinner and ordered the Pistachio Paradiso and it was an absolutely fantastic! It is large, I suggest sharing it. The pistachio gelato is the best!

Immediate bookmark. IMMEDIATE. I love gelato so I'm completely biased. I came on a Saturday night and of course there was a line, nothing crazy, maybe 6 people in front of me. The aesthetic is sooOoOoOo cute. We loveeeee her. It's new and the overall ambiance of being there is so lovely. Feels like I'm somewhere else if that makes sense. I had ordered the baci di dama. Now the girl didn't know what I was asking for so I was like oh no internal panic am I in the wrong, cue freaking out but luckily another lady overheard and switched and made the baci di dama for me. Baci di dama 4/5. I prefer hazelnut gelato only. The vanilla was not anything super special or crazy to me. But that hazelnut.... The hazel... nut.... I need privacy for the next time I go and order that hazelnut gelato. The wafer cookies were buttery and crunchy with a nice snap to it, I started using it like chips and guac except cookie and gelato! Overall presentation was beautiful. Def will order again. I also tried the creme brûlée flavor... mmm... not exactly something I would get again. It does emulate the flavor quite well but I'd rather just have an actual creme brûlée if I'm being real. But it's still very creamy and good! The flavor is pretty spot on. Parking is metered in the Rivera village... good luck finding a spot! No restroom. Seating indoor & outdoor.

I never realized Redondo Beach was missing an authentic Italian café until Ugo arrived in Riviera Village--and now I can't imagine life without it! This charming spot is the perfect addition to the neighborhood. Whether you're catching up with friends over rich Italian coffee and flaky pastries, or winding down a date night with creamy house-made gelato and great conversation, Ugo nails it every time. The gelato is crafted fresh daily and ranks among the best I've tasted outside of Italy--silky, flavorful, and full of character. Their pastries and espresso drinks are equally outstanding. The space is cozy and intimate (a little small, which adds to the charm), so expect a short wait for gelato during peak times--especially when folks ahead are happily sampling every flavor! The staff handles the rush with impressive speed, politeness, and smiles, making the experience feel welcoming rather than frustrating. Ugo is an absolute must-visit in the South Bay. If you're craving real Italian vibes by the coast, this place delivers. I've already been back multiple times--highly, highly recommend! Can't wait to try their Culver City location!!!!

This is a new place in the Riviera Village. Coffee, gelato, and desserts is what this place has to offer. Full gelato shop. Tiny, but clean and cute. It's a small shop, with four tables total indoors. Three small round tables for two and one larger square table that seat four. The family ahead of me in line purchased gelato. I ordered a small latte with oat milk for here. It was served in a ceramic cup with spoon and saucer. It had a bold flavor, as advertised. No dessert today, but they look delicious. There was only one person behind the counter, but he was friendly and efficient. I didn't wait long. No restroom that I could see. Parking: Metered, street parking. Rewards: Yes, based on phone number.

Ugo is a fun, new little coffee/gelato house located right in the heart of Riviera Village. They offer a nice selection of coffees, teas, and some interesting pastry items, along with a nice selection of gelato treats. Plus, they also offer a few sandwiches. This is a easy place to come in and grab a treat. You can walk in, get what you want to-go, or sit down at one of their very few tables and enjoy it inside the establishment. Located on Catalina Avenue, this business is easy to find. There's plenty of parking all over the area. There's metered parking along Catalina, and the various side streets, as well as the large parking lot situated off of Avenida Del Norte, where you will also find metered parking. One thing to keep in mind about this business is that they do not have any restroom facilities. So, you'll have to find another location if you want to use that type of facility. I don't know how they get away with this, because according to the California Retail Food Code, all restaurants offering food to eat on site must provide restroom facilities and/or have a specific sign stating the fact that they have no restroom facilities. But, somehow this is the case. That's just something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a good place to find a nice selection of gelato, some enjoyable coffee orientated drinks, a nice little afternoon treat, or an easy place to grab that to-go item that you can enjoy on the move.

Bella Piccola Gelateria. Omgosh!!! So grateful it is about a 15 minute + drive from my house because if it was closer I would gain back within a week the 25 lbs I've lost. I don't have enough adjectives to explain how amazingly delicious the large 3 flavors of gelato I consumed were. The pictures don't really do it justice either. I believe it was the owner who explained all the ingredients were imported from Italy . Looking forward to the next time I am in Redondo to work through another trifecta of flavors. Buon appetito!

Stopped by Ugo in Redondo Beach for a sweet treat and had the best experience thanks to Esperanza. She was helping us out and was seriously so sweet and helpful. I was originally looking at a cheesecake flavor and trying to pair it with pistachio, but she recommended Romeo e Giulietta and that was exactly the flavor combo I was looking for. She let us sample a few different flavors and even shared combinations other customers usually get, which I really appreciated. We also ordered a cannoli, and while it was okay, it didn't have the mini chocolate chips like a typical cannoli, which felt a little odd. I personally wouldn't get the cannoli again. That said, I would 100% come back for the gelato and honestly, for Esperanza alone because she was truly that kind. The shop is only about two-ish blocks from the beach, so it's perfect to grab gelato and walk over to watch the waves or catch the sunset for a little sweet treat moment. All in all, I'd definitely come back: gelato yes, cannoli skip

European cafe vibes in the heart of Redondo Beach! Ugo is the newest and cutest cafe in Riviera Village, and you definitely need to check it out! They make all their gelato in house, have a wide variety of pastries and drinks to choose from, along with some savory items like their egg sandwich and their chicken pesto sandwich. The gelato has the lightest and fluffiest texture, and their coffee is bold and flavorful. My favorite items were the cannolis, gelato, iced Nutella latte, tiramisu, and egg sandwich, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything you choose. They're walking distance from the beach and are in the heart of Riviera Village in Redondo Beach, so I definitely recommend stopping by! It makes for a great sweet treat and the perfect cafe date spot, so highly recommend stopping by.

The dessert was so yummy! The workers were very quick and extremely kind. I want to go back and try the pastries; they looked so good.

Open your mind (or tongue) and try the different options! Great for couples, family, and friend. If you have a foodie friend who doesn't judge on exterior but rather the taste, this is a worthy spot. The lady helping us allowed us to try different options until we landed on Thai tea, almond amaretto, riceberry horchata on The Special (3 flavors) on a waffle bowl. It was placed on coconut sticky rice. At first I raised my eyebrows but when I tried it, I was blown away how GREAT of combo this is! 5/5 I would go out of my way to try this. What I also love about this is that it isn't sweet like typical dairy icecream but just sweet enough like the true gelatos you have in Italy. You must at least try this with the waffle bowl - it was quite the delight. The portion is big and you'll be surprisingly full. The special (3 flavors) is best for 2-3 people (regular serving). If you're going to eat this by yourself I'd just get 1 serving or the gelato cup. Restroom? No Seating? No

Tried Moom Maam at Smorgasburg Los Angeles at ROW DTLA, the big Sunday pop-up food event downtown…read more The event itself was pretty cool, although a few of the vendors I was hoping to try apparently didn't show up that day. Luckily this was one of the stands that had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Between the language barrier and my excitement for dessert, I somehow ended up ordering more than I planned. The ice cream was good and the Asian-inspired flavors were definitely different from the usual. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was a solid treat. I kept thinking a little syrup or extra topping would've taken it up another level. Overall, glad I tried it. Half the fun of these food events is randomly discovering stuff you normally wouldn't eat anyway. I'd probably check out their Torrance brick-and-mortar location sometime and give them another shot.

Then the owner was at the Japanese garden for December Nights so I could see how nice the candy looks in person, she was offering a discount... and I placed an order. In recent years it feels like everyone I know has been placed on one special medical diet or another. It's so hard these days to find pre-prepared food that multiple people can enjoy, and when I do it usually isn't particularly impressive. These candies are dairy free, gluten free, sodium free, low in sugar, and beautifully packaged in a way that feels like you're really getting something special. The taste of these is mildly sweet and mildly flavored. The texture is the best part, with soft centers, firm exteriors, and fun crunchy "rock" bits: great contrasts. I'm not a big fan of Japanese sweets, but if you are, these are a prime example. But honestly? Mostly I'm grateful for having a special food to share with my loved ones.
