I ate way to much, but it was glorious. This is not my typical neck of the woods, but it was close enough enroute to the Kennedy Center that I checked it out. So glad for this dining experience. I don't recall all the dishes, bit enjoyed them immensely. Our server was also A plus and very attentive. Only hiccup was the hostess/manager who made no eye contact and took a few minutes to address us and seat. Luckily we stayed since it was smooth sailing after that.

Really quality sushi and pad thai! We ordered takeout and it was fast, fresh, and piping hot. Have been looking for more takeout options in the area and this made it quickly to the top of our list! Will 100% be trying more. The pad thai was a huge portion and the shrimp were delicious. We also ordered 5 rolls (flaming lips, rav-o, rainbow, Vanessa and umi sake) and each were very large and tasty. Very pleased with our experience.

Return visit for daughter's birthday! Between us we had bento boxes with chicken and string beans, chicken yakitori, salmon and tuna rolls with avocado, California rolls and volcano rolls. Sushi rolls all fresh and delicious, bento box and chicken yakitori both enjoyable. Service was top shelf. Yeah, we overdid it a little but birthdays happen just once a year. With a generous tip, our bill was a C note. Go and enjoy.

Umi Sake has been a staple sushi spot located in the cockeyville area for years! Although a bit tricky to park upon arrival, there is a huge parking lot behind the building that always has spots available. Typically we are seated immediately but it does get busy on the weekends around 7pm with take out orders and large parties. Dining in is a very casual vibe, I prefer to sit at the bar to watch all the beautiful sushi be made! They have a variety of drinks and wines. We ordered the tuna nigiri, beef lettuce wraps, sushi, and fried ice cream. Everything was delicious, fresh, and came out perfect temperature. The waitress was very busy but was doing a great job managing all the tables. The prices here are affordable and worth it for the quality of the food you receive.

Fresh food, quick service! We stopped here by happenstance and will be back. There were only a few patrons at the time of visit; so not too busy. There is an outside patio and full bar. The food, delicious!

Chicken gyoza, shrimp tempura rolls and California rolls were good, but nothing special. Prices were on par for the area. Service was relatively quick for the amount of food ordered. Interior is larger than expected with both sushi bar seating and regular tables/boots available.

Parking was a little challenging but nothing to deter me from stopping. I went on a Saturday around 1 pm and it was PACKED!!!! Seating is limited so be prepared to grab takeout at peak hours! Upon walking in, I noticed how vibey it was! All of the staff greeted me and everyone was just really happy to be there. The restaurant was so cute and eclectic, but again, very packed! We were hungry lol. I told the staff member that it was my first time there and he gave me a few recommendations. After reviewing everything, I settled on the tempuras Broccoli and the Neighborhood Bird Bun. Service was very quick and they had us in and out of there. They even had stickers for us to grab! Food: Tempura Broccoli-first few bites were amazing. Then I got to the bottom of the box and the house made vinegar threw off the texture for me as they became soggy so I didn't get to finish them. Overall, they were solid but if you do not like vinegar and have texture issues, they're not for you. I'll give them a solid 3 out of 5. Bun: the bun definitely met my expectations. The chicken was huggggeeee and likely was a chicken thigh, which was a good touch. Ur was juicy and fried to perfection. The herbs provided a well balance and the bao bun was everything. I smashed!!! I would definitely go back and try a different bun. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars!

My date arrived before me and got a table and some tea, when I arrived we ordered some miso soup which came piping hot and delicious and we ordered four different rolls of sushi. We got a California roll, we got a son-in-law mango roll which was shrimp tempura topped with crispy spicy tuna and mango and it was absolutely delicious, it was probably the most favorite of the four rolls that we got. We also had their first year roll which was an anniversary sushi roll and had Old Bay crab meat, avocado, and shrimp tempura style. To cap off the four rolls, we got a spider roll which is soft shell crab, cucumber, and roe. They were all really good but the son in law mango roll was probably the best and our favorite of the four. My date had never had sticky rice with mango and that's one of my favorite desserts ever. So we got one to share and she loved it and it was different than I had had in other places and it was really good and really tasty. This place offers a lot of unique sushi as well as unique dishes. I think the last time I was here I had a combination of sushi and a regular dish from the menu. Our waiter was fantastic and our service was great. Every time I water glasses were a little low he came by and refill them and got us another pot of tea. I can't say enough about our experience last night and I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to going back.

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. We were seated immediately in a booth that comfortably fit our party of seven. The atmosphere was relaxed, quiet, and welcoming, which made it easy to enjoy dinner and conversation. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We ordered our drinks, and they were at the table in what felt like less than 30 seconds. It honestly seemed like our server turned around after taking the order and another staff member was already coming around the corner with our drinks. I ordered the whole bone in soy garlic fried chicken, which came with a fresh salad. The chicken was everything Korean fried chicken should be. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The soy garlic glaze was absolutely incredible. It had the perfect balance of sweet and savory while still letting the crunch of the chicken come through. The rest of our table ordered two curry chicken rice bowls, a spicy chicken rice bowl, pork soft tofu soup, the Kongbination, plus edamame and fried dumplings to share. Every dish that came to the table looked photo worthy. The presentation was outstanding, and the food tasted every bit as good as it looked. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes. Kong Pocha definitely doesn't skimp on food. Every plate and bowl was generously portioned, and almost everyone left with leftovers to enjoy the next day. The only small downside was the beer prices. Around $11 for a Sapporo and $7 for an Asahi felt a little high, but honestly, the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the overall experience more than made up for it. Parking was easy during our visit. The shopping center has a decent sized lot, although I could see it getting a little tight if all of the neighboring businesses were busy. It wasn't an issue for us. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean food or trying it for the first time, Kong Pocha is a great choice. It's perfect for families, groups, date nights, or anyone looking for authentic Korean food with generous portions and excellent service. We left full, took home leftovers, and were already talking about what we'll order the next time we come back.
