Chicken lollipops, tacos apps

Came here on a Tuesday evening for restaurant week. When we walked in, we were surprised as we were the only ones there, however it was because the staff said it was a Jewish holiday. It is a fairly large very nice restaurant with very interesting Asian inspired decor. The staff was so friendly and was able to seat us immediately and were very attentive to all of our dining needs. They even gave us a complementary glass of champagne. As we ordered from the restaurant week menu, we were consistently surprised at how big the portions were as they did not skimp at all. The food was well seasoned and very good. We ordered the steak and it was charred to perfection, super tender with a great taste. The sauces that they gave us for the steak were also delicious. This is a kosher restaurant so in our meal, there was no dairy. We got to learn a little bit more about that from the lovely staff. Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommend!

*Restaurant Week Review* Kosher restaurants in nyc are notoriously expensive, so my friend and I chose to try UN Plaza Grill during Restaurant Week for a good deal. Participating restaurants for NYC Restaurant Week offer a 3-course prix fixe special menu for $59. The ambiance was definitely upscale dining, though the purple/blue pillars of lighting and tiger mural were kind of odd choices of decor imo. The place is large with two levels of dining areas, and the bathroom was really nice and clean. Our servers and the manager (I think) were kind and attentive. I have to say though that they were a bit TOO attentive, where I felt like my conversation was being disrupted every 5 minutes by one of the three employees who kept checking in on us. This is not a major complaint of course as I would rather be checked on too much than too little. We got started off with complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was not good; it didn't taste fresh and had a huge air pocket that made me wonder why they thought it was a good idea to serve. Oh well, it's just bread. My friend and I shared appetizers, which to my surprise were really small. The were Lamb Samosas delicious but only 2 pieces, and the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice were sushi-esque and decent. We both ordered the Boneless Ribeye served with steak fries and a little bit of arugula. To our delight, the dish came with steak sauce and ketchup. They did a good job cooking the steak, though it lacked memorable flavor. The fries are steak frites style and were decent. For dessert, I got the Molten Chocolate Cake, and my friend got Tiramisu. For a Kosher restaurant (assuming dairy-free), the desserts were pretty good, though SMALL. I was actually shocked to see this almost munchkin-sized cake served. It did come with a mint leaf, vanilla ice cream, and beautiful finishing. The cake of the tiramisu was good, though the coffee elements were weak. Overall, I think it was a good deal for restaurant week, but overpriced on a regular day ESPECIALLY if the appetizer/dessert portions are the same.

Just had the most amazing meal here! The food and ambience were unmatched and super unique! The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned and filleted at the table making for a nice little show! Loved every app we had including the mushroom soup and highly recommend the fajitas and sliders!

WOW! I cannot stress what a wonderful experience myself and my guests had here the other night!! The hospitality was beyond amazing! The table side presentation was show-stopping! Kenny the GM was an exceptional host and the rest of the staff was so attentive as well! The food! My goodness the food! My guest said it was the best meal he's had in a long time! The steak fajitas were sizzling hot and so scrumptious! The steak melts in your mouth and the sauces are a must try! Don't skip out on anything here from drinks to dessert! The music and ambiance perfectly paired with the entire experience! We were sincerely floored by UN Plaza Grill! Cannot wait to come back soon! Thank you so much!

Honestly, the food was really, really good. We went for a friend's birthday during Restaurant Week. The Mushroom Soup was amazing, even though it wasn't served in the bread bowl during Restaurant Week, which is understandable. Everything was delicious, my favorite was actually the Apple Tart. So fresh with apples that were definitely sliced on premises. Amazing. What I didn't like, is that we overlooked the tip being built into our bill, and when we over tipped by $120, they just quietly let it go. We're good tippers, but this left a bad taste in my mouth...

We were at the UN Plaza Grill for dinner for the restaurant week, on January 31, 2022. We ordered off the prix fixe menu. For the $59 per person you get a 3 good course meal. (keep this in mind when viewing) Everything was delicious! After coming in from the cold we each decided to have a Porcini and White Mushroom soup, with truffle oil and croutons. It was very flavorful, savory, and not at all too salty. We each ordered the center cut ribeye with hand cut fries. The steaks were done as we asked (medium) and they were juicy. For desserts, we ordered are tiramisu and a molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The drinks were extra but well worth it. Pictures of all this deliciousness are attached. The service was excellent, and they even brought out a space heater.

The decor is beautiful, the service is excellent and the food and presentation are really good overall. However, the location is more of a "destination", and although it's one of few premium kosher restaurants in the city, it just doesn't make sense to me from a value perspective. We always end up spending around $130-150 a person here (i.e. on par with Reserve Cut) but the food is not all that amazing to justify these prices, in my humble opinion. Steaks are $65-75, appetizers are $25-30, and don't forget that most steaks do not come with any side dishes (other than a roasted tomato), so that's yet another upsell. In terms of appetizers, the chicken lollipops are great, and so are the BBQ rib tacos. Highly recommend them, as they are crunchy and delicious. We got a special of Mongolian beef, which was basically a stir fry but was a bit chewy (maybe sliced incorrectly?) I also got a Tiger sushi roll which was smothered in various sauces. I thought it was good, but my friend said that for a $30 roll it tasted fishy. The burger feels like the best overall dish here. It was apparently rated one of the top kosher burgers in the city and is made with wagyu beef I think. Steaks are excellent and felt like they were sous vide cooked, unlike Le Marais. Texture and meat were perfect. Sides of Mashed potatoes and eggplant were delicious, but again, probably not worth it from a financial perspective. Overall, it's good for a nice dinner but we came here on a Monday night and seemed to be only 25% full. Pricing just feels too high and maybe it's possible to throw some more low cost items in here, especially since rent on 1st Ave should be cheaper than 7th and 46th...

Mia and Fusy (maybe Suzy) should be acknowledge for their hospitality, professionalism, efficiency while still very warm. The steak and eggs pita was amazing as always- this and the baby roasted cauliflower are my MUST ORDERS- you will be sad you do not- but everything at Miznon is sooo good!! I got the mushroom pita and the whole roasted baby cauliflower, and both were insane. Mushroom Pita: Fresh, fluffy pita bread, with roasted mushrooms in an umami-rich tahini sauce. This was mouthwateringly good, and the mushrooms also had a great, fresh texture. Baby Cauliflower: It sounds so simple but the magic is in the execution. The cauliflower is both soft and firm at the same time; it almost melts in your mouth. There's a reason that two times we went to Miznon, they had already run out. Friendly service, and a chill ambiance. They have fresh tomatoes and long green peppers as a living decor, and they will give you a cooked pepper if you like. Take them up on their offer - the pepper is delicious (and spicy if you eat the seeds).

Went to Wolf and Lamb. Few years ago my wife was there and loved it…read more Not what I experienced this time. I ordered chicken soup. One would think how hard it is to make chicken soup, put chicken in the water, add salt, bring to a boil, cook for an hour. Done. Apparently whomever cooked chicken soup that I was served did not read that memo. The soup I was served was absolutely the worst soup I have ever had in my life. It got better with next coarse, but not memorable at all considering the price. $$$.

Came in with high expectations, especially for the ribeye, but the experience was mixed. The salad…read morewas fresh, but it did not deliver that classic Caesar profile. It lacked the bold Parmesan and peppercorn flavor that usually defines it. The fries stood out in a good way. They had great crunch and texture and were easily the most consistent item on the table. The ribeye was decent but not at the level you expect for a $90 cut. The temperature came out at a proper medium and there was a noticeable char, which added some flavor. However, it tasted like it had been reheated rather than cooked fresh. The bone was not hot and the fat was not fully rendered or caramelized, which took away from the overall experience. It was not bad, but it missed the mark for the price point. Service was good, which helped the experience. But, with so many solid steakhouse options in NYC, this is not a place I would go out of my way to return to.
