Good place to get some food. My kid loves bean and cheese and even though we think that's fail proof, it isn't. She opted for the AL Pastor and birria and she wants to return every time we come to Austin! The tacos have plenty of meat, love the chopped crunchy onions, cilantro is plentiful and the homemade corn tortillas! No words. The Chile is good and spicy and service is fast. Try it out but be prepared to develop a habit.

Stopped by here while I was staying at a nearby hotel because of the convenience of location. They ran out of everything except for fajita beef tacos. So we decided to try those since they happen to be my favorite, and I have a good gauge for the taste of fajita taco meat. I ordered 4 beef on flour, cilantro, and cheese... no onion. Guess what I got? Onion. In addition, the meat was a really low grade and not seasoned. It also was extremely tough and chewy; a lot hard fat or tendon. I don't know that I would ever come back, not even at my hungriest. The gas station close by sells trail mix that I'd take over these tacos any day.

I've wanted to try the tacos from "Un Taco Mas" for a long time but for some reason I hadn't had the opportunity, I was finally able to go and the truth was that it didn't disappoint, initially my friend Jimmy and I had a craving to try the breakfast tacos but unlike other establishments, these are only prepared in the morning, so it was the turn of ordering the classic chicken fajita, a birria taco, both green and red roast (Asado), all accompanied by green tomatillo sauce that gave it a little spiciness. the tacos were in a double corn tortilla so 3 were enough to fill that craving in the middle of the afternoon, the place offered enough space to sit down and was easily accessible, in the case of those drinks, they need to be bought at the gas station since "A Taco Mas" only sells food, although this establishment does accept payment by bank card, definitely a recommendation for those days when you crave tacos. Started craving tacos THE MINUTE I landed in Austin and found this food truck parked next to my hotel. They offer a variety of breakfast tacos, regular tacos, gorditas, burritos etc. and about 6 platters. Service was prompt and friendly. Tacos were delish! I had 2 ground beef tacos on flour tortillas with some added avocados. I love spicy salsa, and their spicy is muy caliente SPI-CY!!! Like my-nose-is-sweating-a-little spicy! Good flavors, hit the spot. Would def try them again.

In Taco Mas is inside the Subway at the Airport Cell parking lot. Tried a couple typical breakfast tacos. Chorizo and egg and bacon and egg on flour. Honestly, pretty marginal. The flour tortillas were a bit rubbery. Just didn't have the best texture. Slightly warmed up but could have stood to be crisped a little more. Fillings were fine. Would have liked 10-20% more, but that's being picky. $5 for 2, and oddly doesn't appear you can order single tacos here from the menu. Breakfast is two for $5. Non breakfast are three for $9. Also odd was that the salsa selection to the side was all store bought, no homemade. Overall just average. Three stars. read more

My first time in this location, I'm staying at one of the hotels next-door. The staff was friendly and the food is really tasty. I will admit I'm upset because they were on a refried beans at 6 o'clock on a Thursday night and I asked when they will get them And I couldn't get a straight answer but I'm still leaving five stars because I like this place I'm confused how a Mexican restaurant can be out of fried beans. read more

So we decided to try those since they happen to be my favorite, and I have a good gauge for the taste of fajita taco meat. I ordered 4 beef on flour, cilantro, and cheese... no onion. Omg this place is unbelievably delicious! We were shocked to find that our order of 4 tacos was only $10, that means each taco is only $2.50! We stumbled upon this because it's parked right next to the Holiday Inn In Town Lake where we're staying and it is better than some of the other popular tacos we had in Austin! I'm coming back downstairs to get more because I can't stop eating it. The two sauce that came with it gave it a nice spicy kick. with the cilantro and onion was a flavor explosion. The meat was juicy and made fresh to order so it was hot and delicious. This is my kind of taco! Flavorful, juicy, spicy and cheap! There is no pricing on the menu and the menu is all in Spanish (that's how you can tell it's authentic Mexican food anyway!), but that didn't stop us from getting recommendations from the owner who was very pleasant and friendly. We are pleasantly surprised since there weren't much reviews and hope everyone gives this good truck a try when you're in Austin. I'm guessing it's a start up but I'm sure the lines will stretch down the block once people taste these tacos! read more

I recently found this place. I can't recommend it enough! I am from San Diego and have been looking for Mexican food like I got in my home town. 15 years I have tried to find a duplicate in Texas and I finally found Un Taco Mas!! Carne Asada is amazing! Shrimp burrito is amazing! I always get their burritos. They are huge! Just like I would get from Roberto's in San Diego. I have spoken to the owner and he cares about the quality of his food and making sure his customers are happy. I haven't had anything from here that I didn't enjoy but the burritos are my favorite! I always have to get my weekly fix of Un Taco Mas! read more

Everything from this truck is handmade with love, and you can tell. I got to try a sampling of different tacos, and the tripas were my favorite with the homemade salsa macha, which is really spicy! There are a few other unique items on the menu like chicharrónes prensado, which is pressed slices of chicharón cooked in a red sauce. This was a surprise! A food truck is not typically someplace I go to when on vacation, but it was close and had good reviews. The only disappointment was that it did not have a breakfast cutoff time posted, and got there about and hour too late. The burritos we got were some of the best I had. Huge with a bunch of flavor. I hope others can offer reviews of this food truck because the owner does a wonderful job here. He's very polite and the food is excellent. I ordered the enchiladas plate and it was delicious, much in line what you'd expect when ordering authentic Mexican food. Prices were very reasonable, and I wish I had taken a picture prior to the meal. A lot of seating was available under a large text, though I ordered to go. Orders are accepted ahead of time by calling the phone number provided. There were reviews and pictures on Google for Un Taco Mas, and I hope the reviews expand to Yelp. Found this little hidden spot by the airport as they have a permanent location now and I have to say this is pretty damn close to authentic it is very delicious and definitely worth the entire. Everything is so nice and hot into your taste so it is absolutely worth stopping in and getting to know. I had the steak and chicken tacos the portions are adequate with more than enough me to satisfy and the food was very warm. For lunch I ordered the Carneasada Fajitas with chimichurri and my husband ordered the Carneasada Taqueria. With my fajitas came a side of frijoles, green rice & flour tortillas. Corn flour was the other option. Both meals came in pipin' hot & the smell coming from both was very aromatic, zesty & spice. Amazing taste, flavors, just the right amount of marinade on the Carneasada with a hint of lime. It was so delicious while enjoying the ambiance. Our server was a delight and took very good care of us. We didn't order any of their alcoholic beverages since we were both working, but definitely we will be back to enjoy more food and try out their beverages.

Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. We just had such a fantastic experience - everything..the vibe..the red light fixtures and the color of the booths and the floor..the service - our server was great..loved their outfits..really had an old school little italy feel to it. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint.
