Review 2. The vibes have modified themselves towards more greatness. I'm a weekly customer, about once per week, late night. They adjusted the position of themselves in a way of what one would describe as the framing towards exceptional Feng shui/inviting seating visibility. The Wall behind, painted around each side, mural/graffiti vibes.. including on the side of the building that is behind them and poses an option for micromarket groceries/booze which in my limited experience frequenting are the closest place for me to find pasture eggs. All around they're doing things almost perfectly for what they're doing now..BUT there are things that need help in my opinion.. One: let's make the menu more specific and more legible/crystal clear about what my options are..because with my limited Spanish capabilities I find the menu to be very vaguely understandable, and I'd like to see it reprinted in both in Spanish and English. Two. Let's try to better reveal yourself and start managing some sort of vibe focused low key Instagram page for you....bc in all reality you're too aesthetically pleasing to not have such a thing. Or not, but imo it would be wise. This visit- Current order: barbacoa burrito extra flour tortilla. 2 red, 2 green salsas. Exactly what I was hoping for and great price, friendly faces, mostly ladies holding it down, chill vibes. It's a spot worthy of being a usual spot, at least for me.

I have been going to taco trucks on riverside for years. This is by far the best one. I couldn't figure out how to write a review for a long time because if you look it up, you have to look up taco el Vallecito. If you look you just vallecito it doesn't show up. This is why it's under rated, best taco truck in austin. Service is amazing, tacos are incredible. I can't believe there isn't more business here. Jessie is the nicest person I've ever encountered at a food truck. This is not fair they aren't slammed all the time. If you are going to get Mexican food on riverside. It is by far the best.

They had me at HAND MADE TORTILLAS! You gotta know. We had just left a show. Comedian "Fluffy". It's about midnight. We're hungry. I decided to use Yelp to find tacos near me and 5 different places pop up in the same area. I accidentally passed the one I selected. Turned right on the next street and there's like 2 taco trucks and a restaurant across the street. I pull in thinking I'm going to turn around and go back. Then I saw it! Hand made tortillas. The plan then became. Try 2 here then go over to the next one. However, the tacos were delicious! Run by all ladies! The place is Nice as can be for the area. There's benches to sit and enjoy! We ordered mas tacos to go! Highly recommend!

My friend and I have a tradition to hit a new food truck after every leg day, and today was Tacos Vallecito. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. Both of us got the al pastor torta and they were properly delicious and full to the brim with meat. The bread wasn't extraordinary, but it wasn't bad either. Regarding drinks, my friend got the horchata (delicious) and I got a Mexican coke (also delicious). The seating area was nice and the service was friendly and prompt. Perhaps most importantly, it felt fairly priced as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite in the Riverside area.

Hidden gem, much better than Rosita's across the street with no line and better prices. The pastor is the best I've had

It's not always easy to find flavorful vegetarian tacos, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I loved it so much that I ended up visiting twice during my two-day trip to Austin. If you're in the city, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Some tables could use a cleaning in between guests, but it was fairly clean. You order your food at the counter and they call you when it is ready. I ordered the grilled steak taco, rotisserie chicken taco and special taco of the week (pork dumpling smash taco). We also ordered the elote and queso to share. The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.

I got the grilled fish taco and doña Reyna taco - the portion is very good! It's freshly made so do expect to wait 15-20 mins but it's very worth it! I had so many food targets to hit in Austin and this one didn't make my priority list for lunch/…read moredinner but I ended up coming here for a breakfast taco and really liked it! It's a small chain in Austin that started from a food truck of two women from Veracruz. Interestingly enough, the cashew based queso here is the default so people with nut allergies- watch out! I was told it was not made in house by the restaurant and I ended up not trying it. I ended up getting the El Diferente taco, while the women at the counter recommended the Furioso. I chose it because I preferred pinto beans to black beans. I added thier salsas that were creamy and it was delish with poblanos in it. The tacos sounded really simple to me from the descriptions but I ended up really enjoying the one I had for breakfast! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.
