Tried Uno Mas since it's really close by and I wanted something quick, but honestly it wasn't it. I ordered 4 tacos and a burrito and was pretty disappointed. The tacos had almost no flavor, and the tortillas were dry. Everything you'd expect from a solid Mexican taco just wasn't there. I ended up taking only a couple bites and throwing the rest away. For the price, it really didn't feel worth it. The food felt very bland and kind of like a very Americanized version of Mexican food rather than anything authentic or well seasoned. Ordered the un mas burrito but it didnt comr with the salsa fresca inside it. Not sure if the staff could understand me properly either, it was empty and the place seems deserted. We came by on a Saturday morning and had a chicken quesadilla, tofu burrito, and complimentary chips and salsa. They give you bags of chips, then you help yourself to whatever salsas you prefer at the salsa bar... the spiciest one isn't that spicy, but they were all pretty decent. My bf noted that the tofu burrito had a unique taste which he really liked. That's how I feel about the chicken here, it has a unique, smoky kind of flavor that just appeals to me, no matter if I get it in a taco or quesadilla, it's always good. They wrote on the bag with a magic marker only if you ask... and it's easy to. Get orders mixed up... happened to me and countless others I know! 2. Not enough staff to handle the demand especially on the weekends... one cook and one person at the counter doesn't cut it! 3. It's just like any other unamas. You can usually get better burritos for $8 than unamas xD but it was on the way for me so i stopped by. The workers are super nice and chill. They have an open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked. I really liked that! I didnt like how my burrito was so loose though. Everything fell apart after my first bite so i kept spilling everything. Very messy. They have ice cream! one fridge for american, and one fridge for mexican ice cream. :p Also have a soda station so you can refill it as you want if you are dining in. Also have a salsa and jalapeno station so you can have as much as salsa/jalapeno you want. They give you chips with your order so it's nice they have a salsa station. Used to go here on a regular basis. Never again! Today the manager, who I have seen many times. Had to tell him to put his mask on correctly. He put the mask on as he approached the register. Came from the kitchen. Ya know where they prepare the food. Then when I went to pick my burrito and the manager was not wearing his mask. He was putting it on because a customer came in to order. I let out a few expletives, apologized to the guy at the grill and walked out after I had paid for my lunch. I left it there. Went to the McDonalds across the driveway. This Una Mas location caters to the office on a monthly basis and in my humble opinion, does a pretty darn good job of the Tex Mex style favored by West coast natives such as myself. The slices of juicy and moist chicken come nicely marinated, mixed lavishly with sliced onions, green, and red peppers. The tortillas are kept warm in convenient containers. The rice is quite flavorful as are the refried and black beans. The tortilla soup is a huge hit and comes fully stocked with shredded chicken in the flavorful broth. I don't know about the quesadillas in the store but here on site, made right off the grill, hot melting cheese in its amazing glory is a sight and bite to behold. In addition, after looking at their menu online, there are possibilities in terms of varying the menu so they don't bring the same thing every single time. What tops off the fresh and tasty entrees here is the service. Management that I collaborate with is top notch, always in constant communication in regards to the menu and touching base after to ensure everything went smoothly. In addition, the rest of the staff are on top of the lunch hour rush, keeping salsa and sour cream and guacamole filled as well as the taco trays as they became empty. Ever tried fresca? You better.
