Beef Udon With Tomato Curry / 番茄咖喱肥牛乌冬面

Super long wait. The price for each dish is not bad but the portions are more on the small side. It's pretty good for a hk fusion lowkey just alright

I've been twice. Have had the Baked Pork Chop Rice with Tomato Sauce. As good as others I have been to. Also had their imitation shark fin soup. Excellent and very reasonable. Also good enough boba. This place was full on a Friday evening. I was glad to get a table. I would avoid coming here on the weekends unless you get here right when they open. Otherwise prepare for a long wait.

4.5/5 This place definitely satisfies your cravings for Cantonese cafe. We ordered the baked spaghetti and rice and they were both good! The pork chop in the baked dishes were tender and saucy. Not sure what the Cantonese style sauce is in the baked dishes but it's sweet and think I would prefer a rose sauce instead. Friend also ordered the Alfredo udon with turkey, this one was straight forward and something you could easily make at home. For dessert, we got Hong Kong style milk puff and this was the best!! The toast was crunchy and the cocoa powder blends perfectly with the milk and toast in one bite. Service 5/5 Workers are very attentive! We arrived around 6:30pm on a Monday night and it was about 75% full. Ambiance 5/5 I really like the fusion of the canto booths with clean modern background unlike the old cafes you find in the city. Not suitable for large parties but definitely a gem for smaller groups grabbing a quick bite.

Pretty good HK style cafe, a lot of things I wanted to try. The tonkatsu is crispy and juicy. Egg is smooth, curry is on the runnier side. The cream baked rice is pretty heavy with a lot of cheese. Pass on the pineapple bun. Ovaltine toast was surprisingly good.

Waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday at 7pm for a table which I don't think was too bad. 1. Grass jelly mega ball milk tea 5/5 This was a really fun drink and the tea flavor is really strong. Note that the "boba" ball is actually grass jelly 2. Pistachio cream coconut water 4/5 Decent drink but didn't think it was super special 3. Salted egg yok fried chicken wings 3.5/5 This just tasted like a fried chicken wing that they covered with salted egg yolk sauce...wish it had more salted egg yolk flavor. 4. HK-style baked cheesy pork chop rice with tomato sauce 5/5 Our favorite item! 5. Chicken and pork cutlet pineapple bun 4.5/5 The pineapple bun was a little bit dry but I really liked the sweet mayo sauce they used. 6. HK-style sizzling satay beef fried instant noodles 4/5 The beef was tender but there didn't seem to be a lot of noodles. The noodles were also a bit soggy but had good flavor. I would definitely come by again but only if the wait time is under 15 minutes. The food is tasty and at a good price but definitely not worth the long wait times when there are so many other good options in the same plaza!

Wowee! Weekend lunch wait is no joke. Two of my friends and I arrived around 11:50am on a Saturday, 20 minutes post-opening and the wait was already almost an hour. We used their tablet to sign up for the waitlist. Scan the QR code to order at the table once seated. Their decor is a cool light green & gold vibe inside. Our order: *Grass jelly mega ball milk tea *2 HK style Yuanyang coffee/tea *Hong Kong style milk puff *Curry fishball *Salted egg yolk chicken wings *HK Baked pork chop rice in tomato sauce *HK Satay beef stir fry instant noodle *Cheesy baked chicken cutlet spaghetti For a while, I thought the grass jelly balls in the milk tea were boba based on social media videos haha but that would take at least an hour to cook. Standard HK style milk tea-- not bad and good for Instagram shots. My friends liked the coffee/tea mix. We ordered too much food and took home leftovers. The beef stir fry noodle had an interesting flavor. So much cheese on the chicken and pork cutlets! One would've been enough for our group. Fishball is a staple to order when it's on the menu. Salted egg yolk chicken wings weren't overly salty so that's a win! The coating was more crumbly rather than saucy. The milk puff toast dessert reminded me of bread pudding. Not super sweet and it seems fun to cut into with all the evaporated/condensed milk flowing out. Very homey and comforting dishes. I recommend trying this place out at least once during non-peak hours, maybe after lunch on a weekday. Staff is courteous and accommodating too.

This popular Hong Kong-style uncle café in Milpitas is my go‑to spot whenever the cha chaan teng cravings hit. Love their ambiance , is more modern and bright inside. I ordered their Hong Kong milk tea, sizzling instant noodles with beef in satay sauce, and the baked pork chop rice covered in tomato sauce and melted cheese. Added a few extras too -- Thai crispy shrimp ring, milk pudding topped with the Toy Story bear as deco, and Hong Kong-style French toast. Every dish was solid and totally satisfied the craving. A heads‑up: weekends get busy. They only have about 12 tables, so expect a wait. When you arrive, make sure to sign in at the front -- they'll call you when your table is ready. Crave cured. I'll be back.

Went here twice and realized that I have not made a review on this amazing place. GREAT Hong Kong food- has a great selection from curry's to spaghetti. We ordered the pork katsu omurice curry, the beef spaghetti (it is on the sweeter end), pork floss pineapple buns and the phenomenal dessert toast. Never had anything like the toast- it's sooo delish and sweet! On weekends and during dinner time it gets SUPER crowded and the wait is insane so definitely make sure to plan it out before you eat here. We had the privilege of having Kyle as our server- he's super friendly and kind and gave the milk tea to us on the house. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for savory, Hong Kong styled cuisines.

The host was very great ensuing the wait time less frustrating by informing us every so often of the wait time. The food itself was upbeat and creative. We almost ordered everything in the menu and can't wait to return. The salty egg yoke was my favorite. Light and crispy, packed with the egg yoke that caramelized around the wings The sizzling beef noodles is a must too. The aromatic comes directly from the grill to your table. It's as fresh as it can be with the "wok hey". The other dishes were scrumptious too. You will not be disappointed.

Came on a weekday for lunch, arrived before they opened around 11:10am and noticed the line got very long by 11:20ish. Recommend coming a bit early if you don't want to wait long. Inside was clean and modern. Staff was friendly. We ordered: Iced lemon tea: not too sweet and perfectly balanced with the tea with a hint of lemon 10/10 Hot hong kong style milk tea: decent tea flavor, not too sweet but I wish it had more of the condensed milk flavor 8/10 Pineapple bun with the chicken and pork cutlet: I liked the chicken cutlet a bit more as it was more tender and juicy but the pork cutlet was pretty good too 9/10 Baked seafood rice with white sauce: this was very disappointing. It was pretty bland so I mostly tasted the cheese on top 4/10 Fried chicken with salted egg yolk: very crispy and lots of salted egg yolk flavor, very yummy 10/10 Overall: food was good except the baked seafood rice. I would come back and try their other baked rice selection

Hong Kong style cafe is always a good option for me. Service was fast and efficient. The place is brand new so it's clean and bright. We ordered the salted egg yolk pineapple bun (must try!), mixed meat plate (good portion), and curry beef tripe egg noodles (surprisingly light in a good way for curry). Overall we were impressed by the food, especially the salted egg yolk pineapple bun (get it with the pork floss). Just be aware the line gets long fairly quick so be prepared to wait a little.

It's hard to believe that this location used to house the institution that was Pepper Lunch but the remodel looks beautiful! The inside is beautiful and organized in a way where it doesn't feel crowded. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We came with a party of 5 a bit earlier around 6pm and had no problem getting in, but the line formed behind us. I have nothing bad to say about the food besides the fact that it was just okay. Uncle's Omurice (although beautifully presented) was lacking in flavor and the tonkatsu pieces were good but a little tough. Dessert was pleasantly surprising. A cute duck sat upon a bed of double skim milk pudding. Refreshing, not too sweet, and the marshmallow duck was delicious too. I sampled a variety of dishes from the table and concluded I might try something different next time. The noodles were quite flavorful and aromatic! Overall, lots of potential and opportunities to try new dishes will give me more insight on the range of flavors.

I came here with a friend for lunch and we had a good time! We got here on a Thursday at around 1, and only had to wait 10 minutes before getting seated. Inside has lots of tables and was nicely decorated with a light green theme. The food came relatively fast, we ordered with the QR code by the side of our table. The food, however, was just fine. Flavor was lacking a bit, the baked pork chop was mostly tomato-ey, but I would love to taste more umami and sweetness. The seafood was very light, but again, needed more flavor. Overall we both had a good time though!

I got: - bibimbap bowl: the egg is cooked so well, egg white is cooked thoroughly and egg yolk is still runny; the beef is thoroughly marinated and the veggies are crunchy Service is efficient and polite, and you get a buzzer to tell you when your food is ready. The food comes out pretty fast. The overall shared dining area is regularly kept clean inside Great Mall, there is great lighting and high ceilings, and there is plenty of parking in front of the food court entrance. I don't love the restrooms here -- it's hard to get the automatic sink faucets to stay on, and they give a tiny spurt of water on and off while you try to maneuver your hands around. The caulking in the sinks also clearly have a bunch of mold behind/in them, which is gross. Unfortunately other Great Mall bathrooms seem to be in the same condition. If you don't have to use the restroom, this is a great lunch spot!

Our menu included Soy Sauce Chicken, Spicy Pork, Japchae Noodle, Pan Fried Cubed Tofu, Shredded Cabbage and Carrot, Kimchi with shrimp, and fresh fruits. At first I thought the Soy Sauce Chicken was like the Chinese kind of cut-up chicken with skin and bones, but it's actually smaller pieces of chicken meat in soy sauce flavor. Kinda dry for me. The Spicy Pork is hella spicy! And when it's spicy, you can't taste any other flavors. Japchae Noodle was just plain mung bean noodle with soy sauce, no other ingredients. It's salty and the more you eat the saltier it gets. This is usually my go to dish but now I'm disappointed. Shredded Cabbage and Carrot is very light in flavor, just boiled chopped veg. It's useful to mix them with the over-seasoned meat. The cubed tofu is ok, probably my least complained dish. In general, it's a very simple lunch with little to highlight.

After weeks of trying to get eat here ( they are closed on Sunday evenings which used to be the…read moreonly time we could normally find to be there.) we finally made it on a weekday evening. Ambience is average to slightly modern but well lit decor. Being a weekday night, I think they weren't expecting too many people but at the time we went they had a 12 person party just seated. This made overall service extremely slow. I understand stuff happens but it would have been nice if we had been told upon being seated that service would be a bit slow due to being understaffed. Beyond just slow service the tables were sticky (my wife used the hand sanitizer on the table and a paper tissue to clean the table) and we had to ask for water twice. All that said, the owner apologised profusely when I went to the counter to pay, so there was some redemption. And now the food: We couldn't order everything we were hoping to try given the long wait time, but here's my rating for what we did order: Malaysian Noodle Soup (3/5): when it arrived it was barely lukewarm, so it loses a star. I was thinking soup will be served piping hot. The taste however pretty good. There's a kick to the broth but a good balanced broth on the whole with hint of coconut and light noodles (I don't like a soup where all you can see is noodle), which worked well for me. The only other thing was whosoever was adding the lettuce did a terribly lazy job - massive piece of lettuce sitting at the bottom. Banh Mi sandwich (3/5) - I'm a sucker for Banh Mi. For those who follow me, you will have heard me mention Bi Cycle Banh Mi more than once and that is the standard by which I judge all Banh Mis. While this Banh Mi didn't get close to Bicycle's, it wasn't bad on the whole. My only feedback would be add fewer jalapeños as they completely overpowered the subtle tastes of the sauces. Pad Thai (3/5): pad Thai looked as it was supposed to but it was missing one of the veggies as described in the menu. Taste was a bit bland but a dash of lemon fixed it. Khow Suey (3.5/5) - my wife gives this a score of 3.5, which says a lot. Good amount of veggies but wished the broth was a bit thicker. But she liked the spice levels and felt it hit her palette just right. Overall, I'd like to come back when it's a little less crowded so we can truly get a taste of the variety thats offered. Let's see what the future holds...
