Uncle Mike's probably doesn't need my review but I just can't pass this by. I recently visited family in WI and they shared a Caramel Pecan Kringle with me and it changed my world! I thought I loved a regular, almond paste kringle but this was SO MUCH BETTER! Also, the apple kringle - fantastic! The apple was like an apple pie with a different crust. The caramel pecan was full of flavor - salty, sweet, caramel, crunchy from the nuts and moist. It was in perfect balance. We ate them at my family's house and bought one for the road. We were driving so didn't get to cut into ours for 4 days but it was still so moist and fantastic. I'm def going to send for lots of them over the holidays. read more

I haven't had anything less than excellent yet from Uncle Mikes. Great Kringle, great bread, the lunch sandwiches are delish even though the choices are few. The cronuts are messy but tasty, and even the cookies taste good and I generally detest bakery cookies. And the samples. Oh my the samples. Everything Uncle Mike's bakes is wonderful. This is the best bakery ever. Try their graham cracker cake! It's fantastic.

Stopped in to to try this place out for my doughnut fix and it is delicious! We taste tested multiple krinkles which were all delicious and decided to get a doughnut. I didn't pay attention to the bill and got in the car to find that it was VERY inexpensive! Can't wait to finish the rest of the maple bacon fritter later. read more

I bought a bunch of bars to bring to work as a treat. They were a HUGE HIT and the first thing to disappear. These are by far the BEST bars I have ever tasted!!! I noticed a lot of different breads behind the counter that I will be coming back to try and the free samples on the counter were a nice touch, although I did not have time to try them or browse around much. This was my first time at your store and you definitely have a returning customer after tasting your treats. Simply spectacular!!! read more

Mike's has replaced pizza as my favorite food. Let me be clear, I'm intentionally vague with that statement. Everything they make, create and throw on the sample plates deserves a place in my personal Food Hall of Fame. I never dreamed of Kringle before--even thought about it, talked about it in conversations--but thanks to ole Uncle Mike I do now. It is one of those things, like the Grand Canyon, that pictures don't do it justice. It is so damn good that your hands and face look like a 3 year olds eating ice cream within seconds of Kringle entering mouth. Soon your tongue acts more cat like than human, searching for any remnants on your body before depression kicks in. At this point evolution stops. Okay you get the point. There is a reason they sustain 3 locations in a relatively small metro area. It took some old lady convince me, she was like an Uncle Mike's zombie. That's all she would talk about. Went to Uncle Mike's for the first time Saturday morning. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They had out samples of the different types of kringles & bread. Food is always good here and coffee is pretty good. Sometimes the cold brew tastes fairly acidic so I usually don't buy coffee from there. Some of the workers were really slow which was frustrating because it seemed like she didn't care about helping us. The line system is hard and people cut in front of me almost every time I go there because you just stand in the store while waiting for someone to help. There should be a sign that says "please wait here (in line) until someone can help you" However, I've never had an unfriendly experience here and I understand workers are doing their best. Pies,cookies and all other treats are delicious, healthy harvest bread... I don't have words for. I will start by saying that their Kringles are absolutely delicious, but it definitely was not worth ordering and paying online for 2 kringles for Christmas morning. Set a pickup time of 10:00 AM on Christmas eve, and arrived at that time to find that I would have to take a number upon walking in the door and wait 45 minutes to pickup something I ordered and paid for already. Only 1 number system...didn't matter if everyone ahead of me didn't know what they even wanted....I had to wait. Super frustrating that they did not have one line for pre orders and a separate line for people who just walked in to get something. Kringles were delicious but I'm not sure it was worth almost an hour of my time to get them. read more

Believe it or not I had a bad experience with Uncle Mike's. On Tuesday I went to their new location on the East side of Green Bay and orders 20 hamburger buns, 20 hot dog buns and an 8 inch baptismal cake for my daughters baptism Sunday. She wrote down my order and she also took my name and number. The women who took my order said it shouldn't be a problem and they would have both the buns and cake ready Sunday morning at the Green Bay site. So Sunday morning comes around, we headed over to Uncle Mike's on the East side of Green Bay after church. I was in a hurry because we were having a celebration at my in laws house after church. When I arrived they told me they didnt make my buns because "they don't do bun orders on sunday," and that the cake that I ordered wasn't at the Green Bay site due to the cake decorator being at the DePere site NOT the Green Bay site. As you can imagine my frustration. The women then said "well we can deliver it to your house." Well that would have been great except my party started soon and I couldn't count on them at this point to get it out to our house (20-25mins outside of Green Bay). So I looked at the women and said "don't you think this is something to call someone about prior to the day of pick up? You have my number? " and the women just hesitantly said yeah. So I told her I would just go to the De Pere site myself. Showed up to the De Pere site and explained what happened and again didn't get a lot of customer service from the young lady. She was searching for my cake for a while and then a man from behind the counter said "we have your cake over here if that is what she is looking for..." So I informed the young lady where my cake was as the man was helping another customer. I said the same thing to the young lady "don't you think this is something to call someone about prior to the day of pick up? You have my number" and again I just received a hesitant yes. The man then came up and said you can have the cake on us, sorry about the mix up. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated and surprised that this would happen at the BEST bakery in our area. Our cake was absolutely amazing but they definitely need to work on their communication between staff and customer service. read more

The cronuts here are amazing!! It a great bakery. I just wish they would come up with an organized way to get customers through. The last two times have been frustrating because no one knows who was there first and there is no room to form a line with all of the tables cluttering the center of the store. read more
