Tried this new neighborhood pizza place... what a GREAT find! We had the Carnivore Pizza and the large meatball sandwich. They were excellent. The crust on the pizza was perfectly made. The staff was very friendly and helpful because it was our first visit here. The prices are very reasonable, based on the quality of the ingredients and portions. Great place to try if your looking for Italian. Give them a try if you near Bellflower, near Kaiser medical ofc on Clark and Rosecrans. I highly recommend uncle Redd's pizzeria. Very tasty and flavorful!! They have a wide selection of toppings. I highly recommend adding grilled onion to your choice of toppings. I had high hopes for this place with the good reviews but I was very disappointed. I don't mind paying a premium for pizza if it's quality pizza that stands out from the chain pizza companies. This pizza was not worth it in my opinion I would rather save some money and just hit papa John's or even little ceasers. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and pleasant the wait time was no less than 20 minutes as they just opened the restaurant for business for the day. I ordered some crazy cheese bread stick along with a large pepperoni pizza adding pineapple to it the total was about $26 with. The pizza as usual was good, I ordered 1 pizza and potato wedges. With the potato wedges I received like a 1oz container of ketchup that was half empty. When I asked the guy that delivered the pizza for more ketchup. He walked away mumbling, you would have to pay for another one, the owner is really strict. I got up and purchased another small container for $1.00. Which in my opinion should be free. We finally get settled to eat as we're watching the game, an employee comes and turns the television. My wife and I have been ordering from Uncle Reds off and on for the past 8 years. Over the years it's been mixed reviews but overall good enough to continue ordering. Tonight is the final time we will order from them again. To start, the woman taking the order made me repeat my delivery address about five times and I spelled it every time. Yet when the driver called he said she wrote the address down wrong. This isn't the first time they have screwed up our delivery (once they never showed and canceled the order/delivery) and we live a mile away. Apparently they raised prices, again and the portion and quality worsened. Our small house special pizza, small antipasto (decreased portion) and dried out, flavorless 10 pc wings were a $51 disappointment. When the delivery driver handed us the order the wings container was on its side and the sauce spilled all over the bag, but it probably wasnt the only reason they were dry. The wings were past their prime. We ended up throwing out the remaining wings and I doubt we will eat the leftover pizza as something was missing or off with the taste. We are huge supporters of good local small businesses, unfortunately we no longer supporter of this one. Buyer beware. read more

I was excited to try this place based on the good reviews. We went in and order a pizza and hot wings, the pizza was good but the wings were not edible or enjoyable. For started full disclosure I'm Mexican and love spice. The wings were so hot even after patting them down with a napkin, my nose started to run, my lips felt like they were double the size, I drenched them in ranch and it still didn't help. I made my husband try one and he took a bite and couldn't continue to eat them. I asked my husband to go tell the staff if this was supposed to be this hot that it's not edible, the man that I assume was the cook from the back said what type did you order, my husband said hot and he said well yeah those are the hottest ones and at that point he explained that there was a variation of hotness within hot, we weren't given those options when ordering. I've ate hot wings at other places and I'm able to enjoy them but here I couldn't continue to eat them. The man my husband spoke to didn't give us an option, or even offered to make things more enjoyable for us. I hate to waste food and money on food we can't eat even if we wanted to. I'm so bummed as I like supporting local business but unfortunately this one won't be getting our business again after today. read more

Let me start off by saying I love Uncle Red's Pizza. I don't mind paying premium prices for quality food. A medium 1-topping pizza runs $20. I've been coming here for years and have recommended them to numerous friends and family. I love supporting my neighborhood businesses. My last 2 visits have been very, very disappointing. Paying a premium, you have certain expectations on your purchase. Paying $20 for a cheese pizza with a sliver of salami on each slice is unacceptable. The excuse for rising cost gets old, especially when they have increased their prices. My last pizza that is pictured just looked sad. Hopefully, this doesn't become common for them. I'll definitely give them another chance, but I can't bring myself to pay that price for a pizza with basically almost no topping if it happens again. read more

Two words: marinara sauce! I don't know what magic they use to make that marinara sauce but it's delicious! I always order extra sauce so I don't have to worry about having enough left over for the remainder of my mozzarella sticks. If they sold the sauce alone, I'd buy jars of it! I literally put it on everything. Once I ordered the minestrone soup but I felt it was missing something. I added a little marinara sauce and it was perfect! Pizza is also good here.
