The food was good. I had the sweet Carolina and my wife did the cheeseburger with fries. The sandwiches were nice and hot and everything was fresh. Our server was very friendly and he received we tried the black cherry soda and it was so good. The place a nice little quiet spot to go to and enjoy a good meal.

I have been here before. I remembered how great the food was so I bought a bestie and her doggie and 2 others. We sat outside and Tyler quickly approached us with a smile. It was a lovely evening. We ordered our and our dinner. All had to try each other's food as we were all bragging about how delicious it was . It was a great evening under the stars and Uncle Tank's was amazing!!

We were looking for somewhere to dine with our pups and we're so glad we found Uncle Tank's! You can't find a more dog friendly place than this! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming of us and our dogs. Our server Trevor was awesome! We dined outside since we had our pups and were able to order from the dog menu for them. --Proceeds are donated to a local shelter. There's an area with a few tables outside some were bench style. We opted for way more apps than we could handle but everything was delicious. Also love that you can order nachos in different sizes. Our drinks were good as well. You definitely don't want to skip out on dessert or the house hot sauce. Our dogs had the best time. We look forward to returning. :)

Back at Uncle Tanks for a Saturday night dinner! This time, I opted for saviry Mamma Mia sausage dip with crostini bead, Bruschetta that was to die for with its perfectly light and crunchy flavor and my absolute fave Chesapeake fries with that Old Bay seasoning and delicious queso and topped it all off with my face Blue Raspberry Lemonade. I also got a Drunk Tank pizza for later because you cant gp wrong with fried chicken and vodka sauce on pizza!

This is such a great hidden gem! First time eating here and each item was better than the last. The spot is small inside but we went right at dinner time, about 5 PM, and got an inside table right away. Our food was a bit slow to come out but our server was quick to apologize and we of course were in no hurry. Overall, a great dinner and experience! We will definitely be back and be sure to bring in our puppy to experience the puppy menu!

Grilled Cheese - House-roasted turkey breast, tomato, roasted garlic aioli, provolone

Super fun place located not too far away in an area I have never been to before. Easy parking and outside, dog friendly, seating. Inside it looks a little bit like a brewery with some table games (and a pair of guitars on the wall that are apparently available for people that can actually play). Service is friendly, and the menu covers probably enough ground to keep anyone happy. The Grilled Cheese - House-roasted turkey breast, tomato, roasted garlic aioli, provolone (weekly special) was very good though the house made chips were a little bit too well done. The OMG!!! I LOVE THAT! - Spinach and articoke dip at its hot and gooey finest, served with grilled garlic crostini starter was a fresh take on something I have seen many times on menus elsewhere. I wish the beer list was a little more crafty, but I am not going to fault them on that. I like that they seem to keep their website up to date, and you can actually review the specials and current selections for drink without going there to find out.

So I was invited to meet with a friend here. This place is absolutely amazing from the decor, the bathrooms, the food and rhe employees. It is very hard in my opinion to find a place to go out foe freinds thar actually has good food. Really good tasting food. Besides the wings and bar pies. Theee menu is very diverse. The bar tenders are funny friendly attentive and make it foe a nice atmosphere and experience. I have had a few dishes heee. Thus in one of my favorites. But it doesnt mean the others fall short. They are at rhe same level as my rigotini Bolegnease. From the sauce, the meat and pasta cooked perfectly. They are very consistent which is a plus. IF YOUR IN THE AREA OR PASSING THROUGH I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS LOCATION.

Mardi Gras Fries.. so good with the Chipotle Ranch dip!

It was our first time here today, the food we got was so good! We got wings and the crinkle fries.. the dips were so good! The chipotle ranch was chef's kiss! Also the staff are so warm and welcoming! They made us feel so welcomed to this place and came up few times to check how was our food, if we needed anything.. wed definitely be back to try other foods they offee. We made a quick stop while waiting for our daughter to come out of school down the street.

Stage House Tavern 1719 Amwell Rd…read more Somerset, NJ 08873 Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast The restaurant entrance looks like the front of a house surrounded by grassland. Not actually has a full size bar, indoor dining area, and an outdoor patio. This is a slight variation from a traditional chicken Parmesan entrée. The cutlet was prepared differently. The edges were pounded thin and had a crispy texture. The center of the cutlet was thick and chewier. Hidden beneath the cutlet was house made spinach linguine. It's different from typical pasta, but it has an acquired earthy taste. The appearance of the vodka sauce isn't the most appealing, but it tastes a lot better than it looks. The sauce was thick and creamy and had chunks of tomato. I highly recommend requesting an additional cup of sauce for full flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this plate. The minor drawback was we arrived while our server was ending his shift during our meal. We were assigned another server and it lead to miscommunication. #stagehousetavern #chickenparmreview #parmesancrustedchickenbreast

Just returned from Easter Brunch at Stage House Tavern with my husband. There were only two of us…read more We had an 11:15 AM reserveration. The restaurant was not yet crowded, yet my husband and I were put essentially in an "alcove" seating area away from the main dining room. Absolutely no ambiance, right next to the beverage area where the servers gather and also where the high chairs and booster seats were stored. When I noted my displeasure, I was met with, "Sorry, we're really busy today and we can't seat you elsewhere." There were many other empty tables in the main dining room and also empty hightop tables in the bar area. The buffet food was overcooked and cold. The coffee tasted like it was made last night. Total of our bill was $157.00 (and we paid an additional 3% on top of this for credit card). Yes, we knew what it was a head, but they also added an automatic 20% tip and the bill still suggested that we give our server a tip, who we had to follow up with for another cup of coffee, milk and water. Extremely disappointed. We won't be coming back here for a holiday meal.

Came here on a beautiful Saturday after getting slammed with a NJ blizzard and this was a great…read moretreat! Got here around 2pm to an empty restaurant so it was nice for my overtired but refuse to nap toddler and my 9 month old daughter who refuses to sit still. Restaurant was very simple with tables along the left side and restrooms on the right. I wouldn't say it's a big place but it's a decent size. Since it was just us, we ordered right away. I got the birria tacos and my husband got the steak enchiladas. Holy birria those tacos were fantastic. The taco shells had just the right amount of crispy softness where it wasn't overly cooked to make it a hard shell. When you bit into it, the juices came out from the other side of my taco and the meted cheese was nice and stringy- if you know what I mean. The meat was cooked perfectly where it wasn't too dry and chewy. I drowned my tacos in the sauce they give you and housed my 3 tacos. It was the perfect amount where I was full after eating but not overly stuffed. My husband loved his steak enchilada. I tried a few bites and I loved the spicy kick to it...so if you're not a spicy eater, I'd skip out on this. It was the type of spice here you know the dish is spicy but it's not overpowering where I feel like my tongue and esophagus is on fire. My husband loved the little kick but was still able to enjoy the meal without wanted to eat a tub of ice cream. He also ordered the mango shake which was absolutely delicious. Super creamy and that mango sweetness was perfect. Our hostess was great- she talked of my daughter and made sure we were ok even though we were the only ones there! I definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Service is where it gets questionable. We did BYOB, and they handed US pint glasses for wine. We saw the next table, who came in after us, get served wine glasses without being asked. Further, our order got mixed up, and we didn't get what we ordered. Overall, I wouldn't say it is bad, but extremely awkward. The ambiance was small with plenty of seating. For a Sunday, it felt empty.
